Just when Marla Gawama thinks she might be getting the hang of her detective doo-ties, the universe has to go and prove her wrong.
The town of Gales Haven is highly eccentric—part of its charm—so Marla is no stranger to quirks.
But when the townsfolk start acting odder than usual, Marla realizes something is up. The friendly gigolo Danny isn’t the only one to make shmexy rounds to entertain the locals. And even the talking mouse who terrorizes the kitchen of Gawama Mama House is proving to be a horn-dog.
Since she’s stuck with the role of town detective, it’s up to her to figure out what the hell is going on and to return Haveners to their usual level of strangeness—not too much, just right. Though a town full of leg-humping witches and wizards is pretty funny…
Every good Gawama knows: “If you can’t fight the crazy, love the crazy.” And Marla is a Gawama witch through and through.

This story was crazy fun with many laugh-out-loud parts! Marla discovers new powers but still has to be the town detective. Hard to do when she is also the victim in these crazy capers!

OMG this book was waaaaaay beyond funny and had me in absolute stitches. The town of Gales Haven is a fantastic town to visit and the Gawama‘s are such a great family and are totally and absolutely crazy!! I am a massive fan of the midlife paranormal woman stories and this series is a great addition to that world. It draws you in and makes you feel at home and all kinds of absurdity that’s happening around you and as poor Marla set in the role of town detective has to find out what is happening this time around! Such a great storyline, such great characters and such a great town to pop in and visit for a while. “ If you can’t fight the crazy, love the crazy”
An LOL adventure where quite a few inhabitants of Gales Haven have been slipped a mickey with the result of them lusting after Marla. As these bespelled males – and one female porcupine – converge on the Mama Gawama house, Marla has to figure out what’s going on, and fast, as her group of admirers grow.
More of the town is revealed, the relationships with her relatives grow, the relationship with Quad deepens, and Marla even becomes BFFs with Mindy in truth.
I liked the reveal of who’s behind the love potion and the why of it. I thought it was someone else with nefarious purposes, but this was so much better.
A fun read with crazy characters and great worldbuilding.
I voluntarily review an ARC. This is the sixth part of the Witches of Gales Haven series, the books should be read in order. I can't describe how much I adore this series with its hilarious conversations, unexpected plot twists and loveable characters. And it's so good to stumble upon creatures out of other extraordinary series by this author. I can't wait to read the final part, although I fear this series coming to an end. Anyway I recommend it to anyone who wants to escape a mad reality to compare the craziness and realize everything will be okay in the end.
Fantastic!!! ⭐️ I absolutely adore this series but this book, this book... OMG, I couldn’t stop laughing!!!... It’s absolutely hilarious!!! 😂 I love, love, love the Gawama's, they never disappoint, along the cray - cray that sorrounds them, there is always this deep family support and conection that fills you with love, joy and hope... they are the freaking best!!! 😍 An unputdownable, page-turner, must-read series, get it now!!! ❤️
This was on the kindle Hispanic Heritage Month challenge list and has a great cover! It is a well-constructed story, but it turns out, I'm just not tickled by the idea of out- of-control males ruled by their libido (albeit magically not of their free will). I appreciate the non-stereotypical protagonist and enjoyed the revelation of the mystery at the end. Just not my cup of tea.
Oh yes they do Marla, whether you want them to or not. As a Gawama and the town's detective, Marla has to balance her own life with all her "doo-ties". But when every male starts trying to get her "living attention" she's just about had it And who could blame her?
Another wonderful book in a series that just keeps getting better. Highly Recommended 5/5
Loved this story as I have the previous. The characters are really great along with the new ones. Troubles never cease in Gales Haven and the adventures in solving them keep you turning the pages. Absolutely loved the dialogue, you can't help but give at least a chuckle. Highly recommended
This series is so much fun. I love reading about Marla and all the Gawamas. So lighthearted and fun to see all the pickles she gets into! Can't wait for the next one!
Poor Marla! She just can't catch a break can she? And now we have Pygmy Trolls! How is that going to work? Can't wait to read it! And Marla is pregnant?!!!! Oh My!
This was a hilarious addition to the GH world and I couldn't stop laughing. So many hood scenes had me snickering and snorting behind my phone in public places! Highly recommended!
I only docked it a star because some of it was getting repetitive but I still enjoyed reading it. I especially liked the end! what a shocker. Can’t wait to read the next
I love this book. I laughed so hard I was crying. This book is by far the funniest of the series. Everyone in town and the family is very supporting. I was along for this book from the first page. I keep checking for the next book all though I know it is not out yet.
These are a fun series of lighthearted books about an older woman, living in a witchy town and finding her place with friends family and loved ones. A very quick read, with a light plot, it was still very enjoyable, and I’m glad I was able to access the series through kindle unlimited.
Oh boy oh boy! I’m flabbergasted by book 6. Oh wow! I really can’t imagine what it would be like with admirers to be haunting you like that. I really recommend the series of Witches of Gales haven to anyone who loves to read romance fantasy
I have enjoyed this wonderful heartfelt story of the adventure of Marla as she becomes the woman of all the men in town desires including the magical creatures
Everyone has gone Crazy for Marla and not in a good way. This book was much better than the last. Lots of adventure and mystery and plenty of magical goings on
DNF. This was very tiresome to read, and I really did not enjoy being in the FMC's head. So kuch going on, but none of it made me fare about the characters.
Excellent addition to the series. I really enjoyed how Ms. Ashta ties everything together, and then how she leaves it open for another book at the end was fantastic.
We all would like having a partner enthralled with only us, but enough is definitely enough when one potential partner increases in number exponentially!
