Asher and Val were wonderful! They kept me entertained as they entertained each other. Asher is all soft and gooey inside, hurt by those he exposed his heart to in the past. Val is take-charge, and not about to stand down from any fight, except, her attraction to the wondrous Asher. Sparks fly in more than one way between these two before they give in and accept they were fated to be together <3

Band 1 der Reihe hat mir schon sehr gefallen, daher hatte ich mir Band 2 als Taschenbuch gekauft. Nun gab es das ganze aber im AudibleAbo 'umsonst' und daher habe ich mich doch für das englische Hörbuch entschieden.
Den männlichen Hauptcharakter hat man schon im ersten Band kennengelernt. Asher ist der Beta es Feral Packs. Valencia ist die beste Freundin von Meadow, welche in Band 1weiblicher Hauptcharakter war. Die kommt nun äußert besorgt von der überstürzten Heirats-Idee ihrer Freundin auf die Ranch und verlangt Antworten. Da sie aber ein Mensch ist, können die Mitglieder des Feral-Pack ihr nicht die Wahrheit sagen und so bleibt sie sehr lange Zeit im Dunkeln.
Asher merkt natürlich sofort, dass Valencia seine Seelengefährtin ist und versucht sie zu umwerben. Er selbst hat eine schwierige Vergangenheit, in die Valencia dann mit hineingezogen wird.Ich möchte hier aber nicht zu viel verraten.
Auf jeden Fall hilft Valencia Asher indem sie für eine Weile seine Verlobte spielt. Warum und was es dabei alles so für Schwierigkeiten gibt, möchte ich nicht weiter verraten. Es wird auf jeden Fall nicht langweilig und man lernt noch eine Menge anderer Charaktere kenne. Sowohl Ashers ehemaliges Pack und seine Familie als auch Valencias Familie haben einige interessante Charaktere zu bieten.
Der Schreibstil ist einfach und geradlinig, aber ich mag ihn sehr. Die Sprecherin, Lexi Evans, hat eine angenehme Stimme und Lesegeschwindigkeit. Lediglich spricht sie männliche und weibliche Stimmen nicht immer deutlich unterscheidbar.
Die erotischen Stellen sind gut im Buch verteilt und sehr sexy. Überhaupt merkt man die ganze Zeit die sexuelle Spannung zwischen den beiden Hauptcharakteren.
Die Hintergrundhandlung, um das Lykosium (den Rat der Shifter), geht auch minimal weiter. Das wird dann wohl richtig in Fahrt kommen mit dem dritten Teil, weil da ja Kit der Hauptcharakter sein wird. Der Fuchs-Shifter ist ein sehr interessanter Charaktere. Dementsprechend gespannt bin ich auf den Teil. Ich werde die Reihe natürlich weiterhören oder lesen.

Beta Untamed

Val has arrived on the ranch to surprise her BFF, Meadow, who is getting married soon. What she doesn't know is instead of a cult, that she thinks is going on, it's a were pack of wolves. When she meets the beta of the pack, Asher, she is immediately attracted to him, but she has no idea what is really going on. All she knows is she could never stay there because she dislikes country living. She is a city girl through and through. When trouble comes knocking on their door she finds herself in shock at the secret Meadow, Asher and everyone she has met at the ranch. This was an excellent book. It had romance, danger, action and very sexual scenes. Loved it.

Second in the series when Meadow’s best friend meets Asher. Kind of an abrupt diva Asher know they are mates but uses her to pretend to be his fiancé so he can see his family after 10 years. He was so laid back and she is so “high maintenance”. And the council meddles and manipulates it’s member population threatening death and fear.

Also A Very Good Story!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one too. Val and Asher had me laughing quite a bit. They make a great team. They can both be independent and together filled with love. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline. I’m excited to read the story of Poppy. Kit is a bit of an ass but he we all are! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

I’ve actually enjoyed this book better than the first one. Some aspects of this world are still not my cup of tea but great characters make up for it. Loved the chemistry between the main characters with hot smexy times.

Having a hard time enjoying this one. Sexist and unfair. How is that enjoyable when good and innocent people are forced and fucked up? I guess its better than BDSM, but not a nice and relaxing read. I will not be finishing the series.

Catch up if you can

This book was so good. I'm on vacation in Cancun with my family and I couldn't wait to keep getting back to it. Asher and Val were made for each other. It was a smooth read. I'm too excited for the next book.

Ok I loved Valencia and this mate matching. She was stubborn and brave and I enjoyed the story unfolding and how it builds off the previous story.
