"928 Wanton Way" is the story of Kitty and Jethro.
Heroine is a single mom (to an adopted son) who has never found love. That is until she meets our big hunky hero, and attraction ignites. She is wary because she doesn't want it to affect her son's upbringing, he tries his best to meet her standards. Some drama later book reaches its HEA.
It was honestly not bad but the heroine was mature enough to be more fiery!

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Jethro meets Kitty when Captain Connor O'Henry 824 Happy Bottom introduces them. Captain O'Henry thinks that Jethro will be a good mentor for Kitty's son Levi. Kitty adopted Levi when he was eight years old, she's never been married and is a virgin. As soon as Jethro mets Kitty he know he has to clean up his act to be with someone like Kitty. Jethro and Kitty try to get to know one another and then he gives her a ride home, but she doesn't enjoy the bike ride he gives her and tells him she prefers to ride in a car. So Jethro finishes up fixing up his car, then he heads to the Flower Patch and orders flowers to be deliver to Kitty everyday. When Jethro shows up at Kitty's home she tells him she doesn't think she wants him to mentor her son, he tells her he'd rather spend the time with her. Kitty tells him no, he asks her why they can't date and she tells him they're not the same. When he tells her he spent the morning fixing his car back up and after she receives his flowers he asks her if she'll go on a date with him now and she tells him she will. Jethro takes Kitty to a private spot he found next to the waterfalls. They have a picnic by the waterfalls and Jethro packed all of Kitty's favorite things to eat. Kitty asks Jethro questions about her son and how she messed up. Kitty agrees to let Jethro mentor her son, Levi. Soon they start kissing, then she pushes him away and he tells her he's sorry he lost control. Kitty tells him she wanted to kiss him, he asks her why she stopped him. Kitty tells him it's because they're out in the open and people can see them. Kitty tells Jethro she wasn't allowed to talk about sex when she was going up, so he suggest they use baseball as a reference. The next day Kitty arranges for Jethro to come over and she introduces him to her son. Jethro takes Levi to his shop to show him some of his tools, when Kitty goes to pick them up they are swimming. Then Jethro asks Kitty if he can take her son, Levi to see a movie, so she heads home to do some other things. When Jethro can't sleep he send Kitty a text thinking she's asleep but she replies, she tells him she taking a bath. Jethro asks her for a pictures so she sends one covered in bubbles. Jethro asks Kitty to come over and she agrees. When she arrives at his house he tells her there's no pressures they can do what she's ready for. They begin kissing, and Jethro carries Kitty to his bedroom. He pleasures her, and she asks him to make love to her. When he asks her if she's serious she tells him to never mind. He tells her he wants her to be sure she's ready. Kitty's phone starts to ring and she sees it's Captain O'Henry, so she answers it. Kitty's neighbor reported a break-in at her home and Levi is missing. Kitty tries to call her son, Levi but he doesn't answer Jethro suggest she text him. Jethro tells her he'll take her home, Kitty gets a text back from her son that's he's alright. When Captain O'Henry calls Kitty back she tells him where her son is and he goes and pick him up while Jethro and Kitty head to her home. Kitty starts to think that maybe she didn't close the door when she left in a hurry to get to Jethro's home. Kitty tells Jethro she thinks she should face her son alone. When Kitty finds out her son left through his window she realizes it was her fault that her door was open. When Captain O'Henry takes Kitty around her home to make sure nothing was taken he talks to her about the change he's seen in Jethro and it's all because of her. Kitty thanks the police officers for helping her out, and she tells Jethro they caused enough trouble tonight. Jethro heads to his shop, he can't go home where he made Kitty come on his bed. He sits outside and looks at the stars as he falls asleep. The next morning Jethro knows there's only one thing to do so he heads to Kitty's home. When she answers the door Jethro tells Kitty, he wants to be by her side and help her with Levi. He wants to be all of her first and love her for the rest of her life. Levi comes out and asks Jethro if he's asking his mom to marry him. Jethro realize he forgot to ask so he asks Kitty if she'll marry him, and she tells him yes. Jethro tells Kitty he loves her and then tells Levi he loves him. Kitty tells Jethro she loves him. They have their first family meeting then Levi leaves for work. Kitty and Jethro talk about having kids, then they make love. A few weeks later, Kitty has a pregnancy test and she wants to show it to Jethro. When he comes in and sees her he tells her she look different lately. When he finds the pregnancy test he can't believe it, but he confesses he wanted Kitty to get pregnant. Kitty confesses she wanted to get pregnant too. Three years later, Kitty finally agrees to go on a motorcycle ride with Jethro. Kitty is pregnant with another baby on the way.

Jethro and Kitty fall in love at first sight they're each others soulmate but Kitty tries to fight fate and ignore her attraction to Jethro. Kitty doesn't want to act on their spark because she feels that they're too different. She owns her kite shop in town and is raising her adopted son Levi who has started acting out now that he's a teenager. Jethro is more take what you want and he's never met a rule that can't be broken while Kitty wouldn't break a rule ever. He has a shop where he fixes boats and plays his music excessively loud as he does so. The police captain suggests that Jethro mentor Levi so that he can have a male influence in his life. Kitty's not sure if Jethro is the kind of man she wants around her son especially since she's so attracted to him. Jethro knows that he can't let Kitty walk out of his life so he'll do whatever he has to so he can keep seeing her. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. I will say that you need to read this book to see what happens with Jethro and Kitty. Can they become a family and give Levi the father figure that he needs? Grab your copy and find out.

Jethro and Kitty's Story . . .
Both of the main characters in this story, Jethro and Kitty, did not start out as pleasant people in my opinion. Jethro is a rough alpha type who lusted after Kitty without even getting to know her. And Kitty judged him to be a rule-breaker and would not let him forget his failings. Fortunately, they both eventually changed as their feelings became more real for each other.
The story begins with Captain O'Henry introducing Jethro and Kitty when she needs some help with her adopted son, Levi. Typical of a teen boy, he tests boundaries and Kitty needs a male figure to balance his life a bit and do guy things with him. She isn’t quite sure that Jethro is the right one with his own behavior issues, but she trusts the Captain and they work together.
While Jethro is “all in” for the romance as he definitely feels the attraction, Kitty pushes back because they are each such very different people. But Jethro won’t let Kitty walk out of his life. He wants to be her husband and a father to Levi. Can he convince her she can count on him? Will they realize he loves both of them and is ready to claim them as his family? We met Kitty and Levi in a previous Cherry Falls book (824 Happy Bottom). Captain O'Henry introduces Kitty to Jethro as a mentor to Levi as he is testing the boundaries that she set up. When she meets him all she can think is he is such a Sexy Beast even though she a thirty year plus virgin. She is not sure if he will be a good mentor for Levi but she trusts the Captain.
Jethro takes one look at Kitty and wants do to all kinds of things to the beauty. The sweet little thing makes him want to be a better man, not just the rule breaker he has been.
While Kitty is trying to resist the chemistry between them as she feels Jehtro might be too much of a rule breaker for her, but there are some really hot scenes between them. This is a standalone and do not need to read others in the series to enjoy this story.
I always enjoy Barbra's stories and as well as the other stories in the Cherry Falls world.

When Levi, Kitty's adopted teenage son starts to act out and push boundaries she knows she needs some help, a male presence. Kitty turns to the Police Captain O'Henry for some help and he in turn introduces her to Jethro. He may not be who she would have picked, as he is rougher and a rule breaker, but she does trust the Captain so gives it a try. One look at the sweet woman and Jethro knows he is done for, he is all in with Kitty and will now let her get away, no matter how she tries to skitter away.

This book is a part of the A Cherry Falls Romance series and focuses on Jethro and Kitty. We met Kitty in 824 Happy Bottom when Connor, the police captain, introduces her to Jethro in hopes that he could be a good mentor for Kitty's adopted son who has been getting himself into trouble lately. As soon as they meet sparks fly immediately. It was definitely love at first sight but Kitty is reluctant to truly act on her feelings because she feels like they are too different. Jethro knows immediately that he found his one and he wants to become a better man for her. He is willing to do what he can to keep her in his life. He was all in with Kitty at first sight and was determined to get to keep her forever. I really enjoyed this story! It was a great addition to the Cherry Falls Romance series!

Barbra Campbell's second offering in the awesome Cherry Falls romance series, 928 Wanton Way, is an absolutely awesome instalove romance. Jethro and Kitty meet when the Cherry Falls police captain suggests Jethro might be a good mentor for Kitty's fourteen year old (adopted) son, Levi. The gruff mechanic is instantly smitten with the reserved, kite-and-surrey store owner, and while they are complete opposites, they are imperfectly perfect for one another. Jethro is swoon-worthy, and Kitty is my spirit animal (so authentically awkward and completely relatable), and their banter and chemistry made their love story un-put-downable. I cannot recommend this title enough!

I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable although I did want to smack Kitty upside the head a few times. She was so back and forth with how she acted and treated Jethro that I couldn't stand it. Jethro was amazing with how he let Kitty set the pace of their relationship. I was surprised that he actually stuck with her with how she treated him. The picnic was super sweet and Kitty's behavior ticked me off. Jethro's decision to act more like himself and surprise Kitty made me want to keep him. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

This was a short read that was kind of fun, but I had a really hard time connecting with either MC. Jethro, while certainly an alpha male, was mostly just panting after Kitty the whole book. Kitty was wishy washy and, at times, she seemed to have no regard for Jethro’s feelings. I honestly didn’t like her very well at all.
The best part of this whole book was Levi. At least he had a half decent head on his shoulders.
Look, it’s a fun little read if you’re wanting to suspend reality for awhile. I’ve never minded an over the top type of book. This one just didn’t do it for me.

I've been looking forward to reading Kity and Jethro's story, their connection was instant and as much as I wanted them to be together, I knew that they each needed to work through some things to really have a chance at together forever. I saw character growth for them in that Kity grew up in her attitude and thoughts, which for me made her feel a more rounded character, and Jethro realised the person he was could be so much more, whilst still being himself. There were ups and downs in this and I was happy with their HEA.

She had adopted him, never having expected to have a relationship. The attraction between her and Jethro is instant and strong. If he can keep his foot out of his mouth, he can win her over. Kitty is going to have to trust him and not second guess everything. He does not think he is good enough but he wants to be and refuses to walk away. They have a few stumbling blocks, but find their way to making a happy family together. Sweet and steamy

Quick, cute short read. Kitty is looking to have someone help with being a role model in her son's life. The local police chief (who we meet in another Cherry Falls story) offers up Jethro. When these two meet, it's definitely fireworks but I got a tiny bit tired of the back and forth with Kitty. You could tell Jethro was all in but Kitty's constant focus on rule breaking gets old as the reason she pushes him away. I love an alpha male that goes after his heroine, which is definitely Jethro - it just took a while for me to warm to Kitty.

Hot, Steamy and Intense, 982 Wanton Way is one of the passionate stories I have read from the series.
Jethro is describe as hot sexy beast or as Aquaman, and has me melting in my seat. He is rough, crude and all man with a big heart that will have you seeing more that what others. Kitty is a sweet young thing who grew up sheltered, adopting Levi, she has not even know what it is like to be with a man. Being around Jethro leaves her body wanting more and her mind confused.
Their connection is instant, heated and will take you on a fast ride as they find their way to each other and as a family.

Jethro and Kitty are total opposites, but the sparks are undeniable. The police chief has asked Jethro to mentor her adopted son Levi as he is starting to get into trouble. At first they are at odds but very quickly they see eye to eye on the important things like Levi. The characters are heartwarming and see what is under the facade they hold up to everyone. The storyline was well written with a lot of fireworks and family type bonding. These three will be a few of my favorites in this series. Can not wait for the next address.

3 1/2 Stars! I liked it!
Sweet and steamy contemporary romance that was written in an upbeat and modern style.
Both Jethro and Kitty’s life took a turn for the better after meeting and falling for each other.
Jethro ended up being sweetly romantic as he focused on wooing Kitty and Levi into his life.
Insta love/lust, but not crazy OTT. I liked the way the author showed Jethro’s vulnerability in his POVs which were easy to read and follow.
Well written feel good romance.

I didn't like this one much at all. I'm fine with the instant attraction, but there was very little plot beyond how much the characters lusted for each other. Jethro was okay, though there wasn't much to learn about his actual character, more just how much he would make Kitty his. I didn't like Kitty at all- she was too good, too innocent, too back and forth- in an unrealistic, undeveloped character kind of way. I just couldn't get into or believe in any part of the story. The premise was good, but the approach just didn't work for me.

I don't know how to feel about this story. I was just racing towards the end because I didn't want to DNF it but I couldn't get into it. Jethro was the best part of it but kitty was like an 80 yr old in a 30+ yr olds body. She wore a shawl, still had her vcard, followed strict rules even about not sneaking in soda into a movie theater...come on I'm 50 and I still sneak snacks in!!! and she Didn't know who Jason momoa was???? Was she living on the moon?
Too many ridiculous moments in this book that kept me from getting into the characters & the story.

The author has taken us back to Cherry Falls and reintroduces us to Jethro, Kitty and her son Levi. Levi is at the stage of rebelling against the rules and is causing Kitty to worry. When she meets Jethro, a rough edged rule breaker, they have an instant attraction. Will Jethro be able to help both of them?

This was such a heart-warming story. Ms. Campbell has a way with words and shows it with Jethro & Kitty' story! They were perfect for one another. Jethro was so understanding and caring. His willingness to take the time Kitty needed to feel comfortable was touching. This was such a tender, sweet, sexy story. Their chemistry was undeniable from the moment they met and the passion was off-the-charts! An amazing story and a sweet HEA. Must read!

I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Kity and Jethro's story. I thought that the connection and chemistry between Kity and Jethro was great. I really liked Jethro, he is all alpha but also really sweet with Kity. Kity was hesitate because of her past experiences but she can't last out forever. I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Barbra as a great author.

Attraction is always higher when you meet your total opposite, everything your not, yet dream about what if. A great connection with these characters and good storyline to build up. Liked just how Jethro was patient and willing to go all the extra steps for the woman he wants as his. Both learning from the other and learning how to communicate as a family.

First book I've read in the Cherry Falls series. This story didn't disappoint. Kitty adopted son, Levi, has been acting out. He needs a male influence. She ends up going to see Jethro who knocks her sideways. She's nicknamed him Sexy Beast. Jethro has finally found his one and only Kitty is the Kitten he's been waiting for. Things coming in fruition. Break a rule, smarter rule, changing and things will work out either good or bad. This story is about pros versus cons. Baby steps versus jumping in with both feet. Taking your time versus flying by the seat of your pants. Proving your worth and changing your self to be enhanced into a better human. Good read no cliffhanger

I really enjoy that she has more life experience then the average heroine, but still has certain aspects of her life she's more innocent. I also like that he's trying to override his alpha nature to get his girl. It's a sweet single mom romance with a twist.

This was a great read. I enjoyed the fact that both characters were older. typically your read about an older man and a younger woman. Not that that there is anything wrong with that. I just found it refreshing that Kitty was a bit older. I also like the fact that she adopted Levi and gave him a home. Jethro was good guy who just looked like he might not be. He was more than willing to accept that Kitty and Levi were a package deal. He didn't seem put off by that. This is a well written book with a great HEA.

Kitty spends far too much of her life worried about being perfect and others’ perceptions. Jet hero fights for her and she keeps trying to push back for those reasons and fear. Luckily he doesn’t give up easily on her since he is completely enamored from first sight. He is very sweet and so patient. I like Captain O’Henry is willing to guide her a bit.

A good read, quick of Kitty, a single mom and Jethro who instantly attracted to her. It was a fun read. You get some of the characters from other books. It was a good read. Just a fyi there is some foul language in it. I still enjoyed the book though.

I received this as an arc for my honest review
This book gave me everything I expect from a Barbra Campbell story, a good storyline, characters with great chemistry and steamy goodness. I loved Kitty and Jethro’s story. I always love when things are unexpected, and Kitty was for me an unexpected character. I loved that it was essentially a story about finding yourself.
