I never expected that becoming Queen would cause a war.
Adjusting to life on Naelyra was like a slap across the face in many ways. New beings. New ways of life. New enemies. New love. If it wasn’t for Kane and our family of friends, I’m not sure how I would have survived.
Then again, I hadn’t.
I’d died.
For all intents and purposes, I’d lost my life. In that death, I’d lost something incredibly precious to me as well as the version of myself I worked so hard to avoid. However, I came back with new powers to match the new life I’d been thrust into. Now, we had to face an onslaught of Naelyrians coming to either capture me or kill me.
Naelyra had become my home, as had Kane. Yet, my existence was tearing it all apart, causing deaths and risking the life of the man I love. I couldn’t stay. But he’d never let me go. And I don’t want him to.
R.J. Lloyd started off as a romance writer under another pen name. However, R.J. is the side of this award winning, best selling author that delves into fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, paranormal and all things action and spooky that she loves so much.
A Detroit area based author, R.J. writes both novels and short stories, always looking for the next interesting and slightly off kilter character to follow on an adventure with.
Earthbound is the second book in the Chronicles of Naelyra and it did not disappoint. The story picks up with our main characters and their friends escaping through a portal to Earth where Auri and Kane have a chance to discover more about the prophecy pertaining to their future.
This story caught my attention right from the start. It was so entertaining to read how Kane and his friend Wulfgard reacted to everyday items we take for granted.
I highly recommend this book. R.J. Lloyd did a fantastic job. I can't wait the next book in the series
So after reading Everwinter, I NEEDED to know what happened next! This will contain no spoilers I can assure you! Earthbound is an amazing follow on from Everwinter. I found this book better then the 1st for; character development, action, the hot steam scenes and humour (Wulfgar is still amazing). But, be prepared for your heartstrings to be tugged at. Would highly recommend picking up this chronicle if you haven't already.
I read this book as an arc and I loved it so much! I loved seeing the characters in a different setting! I actually liked this book a bit more than the first one, and I loved the first one 🥰
