This book discussed about 6 renowned CFOs of 6 biggest corporates in India.

First one is about "Ajay Seth" who is the CFO & Member of Executive Board, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. There are many interesting takeaways you can find while reading about his whole journey.

One of my favourite takeaways from this part is, "The philosophy of simplicity helps you to create wealth."

Second one is "Koushik Chatterjee" who is the CFO & Executive director of Tata Steel. His life is quite an inspiring journey which can be add an extra edge to your life.

My takeaway is, " Dealing with people's emotions is an integral part of the leadership."

Third one is about "Raghava Rao" who is the CFO of Amazon India. It's a very unique read which is about life i.e full of ups n downs.

My takeaway is, " Never take customers' needs for granted."

My take,away is " Never say 'No'. Refusing oppertunity is denying growth.

🙂 Writing style of the book is just classic. It's a synchronisation of the interview with the famous CFOs & author put forward it in a very apt way.
🙂 Language used in the book is moderate. Not like our day to day used English but it's really engaging.
🙂 The visualising things in the book is really fascinating.
🙂 The key takeaways at the end of the each chapters gives a new reading experience.

Most people think finance as a boring and stress ful job which involves just crunching nos from morning to evening.Especially if u don't have any contacts from that background. The impression that you recieve is that it's just a boring job that just pays a lot of money. However finance is more than that. A person who starts his career in finance has a lot to look forward to. I have often said that finance is the life blood of business and without business no country can survive. CFO NITI illustrates this with a peek into the life and insights of six of the most powerful CFOs of corporate India. The books gives a guidance to both incumbents as well as veterans as to the role of a finance as well as that of the CFO in typical business irrespective of size and how its a career and position to aspire for
As a person aspiring to take over as the CFO of a group this is a book which I would recommend to all youngsters who are starting out in this fields. Hats off to the authors for the effort taken to compile the messages of some of the greatest gems of India in this field. For a person from non finance background also this book will serve as a good introduction to the complex and exciting world of finance and as to how a the department and CFO adds value to a company and thereby enables it to contributes to the GDP of the nation
As a person aspiring to take over as the CFO of a group this is a book which I would recommend to all youngsters who are starting out in this fields. I really liked this book .
Each chapter is structured like a conversation. We start off with the background of the CFO. Their career journey, their learnings, and end with some personal stories
The one biggest takeaway for me has been the transformation in the role of a CFO. This wasnt something I was aware of, and thanks to the book now know it a lot better. And it sure sounds very exciting !
Greatt book will revisit again next year
