Mary Lett has been struggling since the death of her baby daughter. In an effort to forget his own feelings for Mary, Geoffrey’s brother, Henry , marries another woman. Meanwhile, Will considers marriage to be out of the question. When it becomes clear that Mary and Geoffrey have really hit the rocks, both Henry and Will are presented with another chance at happiness, but are either of them able to take it? An emotional saga of love and second chances, perfect for fans of Katie Flynn and Rosie Harris.
Book 2 in the series following the Lett family and their restaurant. Mary and Geoffrey Lett are now married but when tragedy strikes they are unable to cope and their marriage disintegrates. Both Henry Lett and Will (her first love) still have feelings for her but which one will she choose? I did enjoy the book but got a little confused at times, especially when Geoffrey's son was mentioned and I don't remember him having a son. I shall have to read the first book again I think. I didn't like Mary's character very much, I felt the person she loved most was herself and also felt that Will was too weak, but even so, I look forward to reading the next book.
Fantastic story, holds you from the start. Couldn’t put it down. I lived in the story. Even though it’s not true it gives you an idea of how life was in those time.
