“You can’t go wrong with a Chris Keniston book!” RaeAnne Thayne, New York Times bestselling author of the Haven Point series.

Shenanigans and romance abound in the new Hart Land series from USA TODAY Bestselling Author Chris Keniston. Fall in love with the lakeside small town of Lawford, retired Marine Corps General Harold Hart, his artistic wife Fiona, matchmaking housekeeper Lucy, and his nine single granddaughters. Did we say single? Well not for long!

This collection includes books 1-3 of the Hart Land series.

Heather – Boston cardiac surgeon Heather Preston has invested everything to achieve her dream of working at a world renowned hospital. When an unsettling call from her grandfather the retired general brings her back to her childhood lakeside home, she rediscovers the appeal of life in a small town, the joys of free-spirited youth—and Jake Harper.

Lily - Another matchmaking fiasco behind her, Lily Nelson has sworn off men. Which is just fine since her lifelong dream of owning her own bakery is almost within reach…maybe. Now more than ever, she needs all her wits about her to balance her noisy, no-boundaries friends and family, and look after a handsome firefighter. Not that Cole McIntyre isn’t easy on the eyes, he just might be too easy on her heart.

Violet – Unable to work in her flooded Boston studio, yoga instructor Violet Preston retreats to her family’s peaceful lakeside home. While the looming sale of her affordable apartment building might be threatening her Zen, her real battle comes in the form of Grant Whitaker, a well-dressed, smooth-talking, Lamborghini-driving charmer with unexpected plans of his own.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Hart Land Boxed Set (1-3) by: Chris Keniston

Keniston brings out the sentiment in a heartwarming new series. Small town fun, with some big city heart. How can anyone not get hooked. (4.5 stars)Heather packs a ton of love in an all too short, captivating tale of family, romance and inescapable memories. Great start. (5 stars)Lily - Laughter is the sweetest balm for the soul. Keniston delivers humor, heart and hope with a special kind of charm. (5 stars)Violet - I lost my heart two books ago. Keniston blends emotion with humor and creates inspiring characters. Violet has a tendency to get lost in the background. Her calm nature doesn't always work in her favor, but when it comes to her family, she's all heart. Grant is about to find out just how fierce, this lioness can be. Violet's story is more subtle than Heather and Lily's. She creeps up on your heart and lays claim to your soul. (4 stars)

Heartwarming and funny

Great developed characters that had me reading almost all day just to finish each book in the series. Having been married to a soldier I understood where the colonel was coming from while his wife seemed to play the part of the dutiful wife that was really in charge. You won’t be disappointed in this series.

Family

This set of books is such a lovely look into what family means. Each of the cousins featured are coming into new and lasting relationships. But it is all based at the family land. Looking forward to reading more about the other cousin's.

HEATHER - BOOK 1 - I reviewed previously.

LILY - BOOK 2

Lily
Cole

Cole is a firefighter that has been given the assignment to stay at Hart Land and discover if this would be a good place for the annual firefighter’s retreat. Lily is the granddaughter of the General and Fiona Hart, she is a baker and is in the process of trying to figure out if she can make the big step to open her own bakery. Lily and Cole meet when she runs into him, literally, on her way to work. She then takes him back to the cabin he is staying in and stays with him to make sure he is ok per the doctor’s instructions. Lily and Cole find themselves becoming friends and learn about each other on the way to forming a relationship. This a very good, fast and sweet read. You get to read about the General, Fiona and Lucy again. I would definitely read more books by this author.

VIOLET BOOK 3
Violet is a Yoga teacher and her Studio has been closed because of plumbing and other problems, so she goes to the lake to spend time with her family and wait to see if she has to find a new place. Grant Whitaker is a developer and along with his construction partner have the company F&W. Grant on a tip is going to try to get a deal with the General to purchase Hart Land. Violet and Grant have instant chemistry and begin as friends and develop a relationship. I liked both Violet and Grant, they bring out the best in each other. I would definitely read more books by this author and in this series.

Heather loves her job and is very good at it. She comes home for a visit and she begins to wonder if there is more to life than just work. Jake is adorable and does his best to give Heather a reason to slow down. The general is funny and I loved getting to know the sisters and cousins.

Lily is an amazing baker and accident prone. Loved her!!! Cole is a victim of one of her accidents. The sisters and cousins are back. She feels inferior to her relatives and unseen by men. Cole definitely sees her but is hesitant. When they can finally be alone things start to change for them both. It is such a sweet romance. This is my favorite so far.

Violet is forced to come home because of damage to her yoga studio. Grant is on a mission to buy the lodge from the General. Funny how their grandpas knew each other. We get to see the grandparents, Lucy, and the granddaughters. The author does a great job of describing the setting without being too wordy - I felt like I was there with them. There is chemistry between these two but what will happen when Violet finds out there is more to Grant's visit? Lucy was so funny - hope she eventually gets her own book.

I've read all of Chris Keniston's books in this Hart Land series and I love each & every one of them! It's awesome to see them in a box set, I really recommend you give them a try! You'll be wanting to get them all before long. A sweet, small town, large family romance series. Enjoy!
I am on her review team, but this is my honest opinion, and when I saw this set in my BookBub email, I had to share. :)

3 Sisters, 3 unlikely men for each, Romance abounds.

I liked each of these romances, a family of 1 general, who is also a doting grandfather, a grandmother who loves and supports everyone, and a combination of 8 young women each of whom has their own profession, but are bound by the family closeness and love. While love, marriage and a family may be a distant dream for each girl, the General has other ideas.

Hart Land has become my happy place. Sweet, hilarious and romantic. Perfect. Chris Keniston's Hart Land series continues her tradition of warm and wonderful romances with a strong dash of family and humor. Wonderful characters that any reader is sure to fall in love with are the hallmark of Chris Keniston's novels and this family, their friends, and the new men in their lives are a perfect example of what a great job she does in creating amazing characters.

Still keeping secrets ...

Read a lot of paranormal romance novels and this one doesn’t have a touch of paranormal in it. However, the romance is off the charts. Not in an erotica kind of way, but more like a condensed getting to know you and fall in love kind of way. Which is wonderful! Love seeing a content family with their grand folks.

Hart Land 1-3 books

I really enjoyed having 3 books in one. Each story of the 3 granddaughters was interesting and fun to read. I really like this author and have enjoyed all the books I have read. These take p!ace at the grandparents home on the lake where they rent out cabins. I liked Lily's story the best: it was serious and funny and a great romance.

Great family story!

Being from New England I love a story line that brings the heart of the Northeast. The Hart land Lake side Inn does just that. It gives a great look at a wonderful family and the supportive community around them. Throw in large group of single women and a grand father looking to have them settled and married and you have this wonderful series. Enjoy!
