Unable to work in her flooded Boston studio, yoga instructor Violet Preston retreats to her family’s peaceful lakeside home. While the looming sale of her affordable apartment building might be threatening her Zen, her real battle comes in the form of one well-dressed, smooth-talking, Lamborghini-driving charmer.

"Chris Keniston gives us a world you'll never want to leave." Emily March, New York Times Bestselling Author of Eternity Springs series.

More on Hart Land Lakeside Inn:

Come and stay in one of the quaint and cozy cottages at Hart Land—but be warned, once you meet the family and delightful cast of characters, you may never want to leave.

Fiona Hart is the devoted matriarch. Elegant, wise, and arts patron, but despite all her efforts, she has yet to find her own artistic outlet. Lucy isn’t just a housekeeper, she’s part of the family. She also fancies herself a real life Dolly Levy, except she’s much better at cooking up trouble than the perfect match. Innkeeper and retired general Harold Hart believes in hard work, discipline, and whatever his beloved wife wants. Katie O’Leary runs the One Stop, makes the best Irish soda bread this side of the Blarney Stone, and no one is quite sure if it’s more than her baking that has the magic touch. Did we mention the Harts have nine granddaughters?

Having grown up spending summers together on the lake, the cousins are as close as sisters—closer. Each woman knows there’s no place like Hart Land. They can always count on their grandfather’s gruff, their grandmother’s sage advise, Lucy’s fresh baked cookies, Katie’s inspiration, the calming scent of fresh air—and each other.

Follow along with friends, family, neighbors, and guests as the Harts maneuver life’s curves, and just maybe find love along the way.

As a Special Bonus VIOLET includes a treat from Lily's Recipe Box!

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Violet may be my favorite book of the Hart Land series. It is hard to pick because I love all of them. Yoga instructor Violet returns home just as Lily and Heather's worlds seem to be perfect and hers feels as if it is crashing. Her yoga studio is closed for repairs to the building and the owner has decided to sell. Not only does that mean no income for an indefinite time, her friend, the current owner, warns her that whoever purchases the building will have to raise the rents because there are so many repairs that have been delayed. Crushed, because the downtown location is the main reason that she is so successful, Violet returns to the place that represents safety and love, her grandparent’s bed and breakfast. Matchmaking is the name of the game. The other girls weren't sure that their grandparents a pushing as hard as housekeeper Lucy, but the general’s manipulations are as plain as the sexy car sitting in front of the B&B.
Wonderful characters that any reader is sure to fall in love with are the hallmark of Chris Keniston's novels and this family, their friends, and the new men in their lives are a perfect example of what a great job she does in creating
I requested and received and ARC from the author. I will be adding a copy to my personal collection soon.

In the 3rd book in Hart Land we have Violet who’s the yoga instructor. She’s funny, sweet and
I truly liked her relaxing nature. You will see that in every book. When she meets Grant Whitaker that’s staying at Hart Land she can’t help to see he’s in desperate need to release. He’s hiding something on why he’s really here. Violet knows her grandfather aka The General would never sell.
She doesn’t know why Grant would think he would.

Violet is having issues of her own with her yoga studio she rents she hopes things will look up.
While her and Grant become closer she needs to stay focused and won’t let him let him talk her grandfather into anything.

Highly recommend.

More books to come..

Violet: Hart Land Book 3 is by Chris Keniston. Violet has chosen to be a yoga instructor. She has an apartment on the top floor of the same building in which she has a yoga class. Unfortunately, the building is old and has problems, the latest of which is a water leak which forced Violet to cancel her yoga lessons. Since there is nothing she can do until the leak and other problems are fixed, she decides to go home to the lake to wait.
Grant Whitaker of F&W Development Company was looking for lake property to build a resort on. His eye landed on Hart Land as a property that just might be available soon. He needed to talk to General Preston so he books a week at the Hart Land Resort and heads up to talk to the General. He is up for any adventure he wants.
Violet is pleased with the new man in town until she finds out what he wants. Then she accuses him of using her to get to her grandfather. Did he

Den das Herz will was das Herz nun mal will. 🤷‍♀️

This book was enjoyable but a slower read than those in the series thus far. It is warm and heart felt.

This one felt a bit unfinished, like there were things left unresolved. I'm beginning to sense a series arc... Still enjoying the characters and the stories.

Grant is a true city business man, driving his expensive sports car and designer leather shoes who comes to the lake in hopes to get the hart family to sell. He runs into yoga instructor, Violet who helps him to unplug, slow down and see what is important in life. It’s a wonderfully written romantic story that is packed full of family and fun. I love every book in the Hart Land series. Chris Keniston is a fantastic writer who grabs you from the first paragraph and draws you into the story. I want the story and the characters to be real so I can go stay at this lake and enjoy this family!

I love Hart Land. Ms. Keniston has given her readers another terrific small town series. Each story can be read as a stand-alone but the characters are a group of sisters, cousins & their associated supporting characters. Hart Land is an area owned by their grandparents. Grandpa is retired military & now he enjoys meddling in their lives & matchmaking. In this story, he’s conspiring with an old military buddy to set up their grandchildren, Violet & Grant.

Grant is going to visit the General, as he’s called, thinking that he wants to sell his land & Grant is to build a luxury resort. He’s going to combine some vacation time with inspecting the property. At the same time, he’s concerned about happenings back at his company & needs to unravel a mystery.

Violet is a yoga instructor. Her studio was flooded & the owner isn’t getting the damages fixed in a timely manner. Rather than continue losing clients, she stops classes at her temporary location. This means she has time on her hands. She decides to head to her grandparents for a break & encounters Grant. She’s determined to stay long enough to figure this out & make sure the General doesn’t give in.

I’m really enjoying this series. I love the family connections & the interactions between them all. Violet is a dreamer & needs to face reality & start to plan for her future. Grant needs to slow down & realize he needs balance in his life. Watching this courtship with all of the misdirection & mishaps was fun. This was another enjoyable story!

Violet by Chris Keniston is the third book in a brand new series Hart Land. The series is based on the small town of Lawford (in NH) with the General (Harold Hart) and his wife, Fiona. They have nine single granddaughters who one by one will find their own love. Lucy the housekeeper is bound and determined to be matching them all up, but she is an accident waiting to happen. The General and Fiona run a small hospitality business with cabins, with their house full of people and laughter.

Violet teaches yoga and her own studio (rented) in Boston, but one thing after another has led her not being able to use her studio , maybe ever again. She has come up to spend time with her family, while the situation is being resolved, hopefully.

Meanwhile, Grant has decided to approach the General about selling his land, after a tip from his grandfather. Grant builds high quality resorts for the rich and is always looking for the next best places to start. He goes to Hart Land as a customer and begins to enjoy the land, the family and especially Violet.

Violet by Chris Keniston is a sweet love story about family and staying connected to what is important. The small town feel is universal, as is the cast of local characters. Violet is a quick read for someone who is looking for a little sweet love story.

Another adorable book in the Hart Land series; Violet and Grant find love in the Lawford Mountains on the property her family homestead over four generations ago.

Grant is hoping to convince retired General Herald Hart to sell his family property on the pristine lake his company wants to build a new resort on.

With her sisters and many cousins returning most weekends Violet can't fathom that thier grandfather would even consider selling the family property they all grew up visiting every summer. Now all adults, it seems the young ladies are all finding themselves returning to the comfort of their vacation home as well as the grandparents they love so much.  But, could their grandfather truly be considering selling? And is grandfather's health declining? Can't wait for the next book?

Definitely can be read as a stand alone but highly recommend this sweet and clean series.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

Now it’s Violet’s turn. At his grandfather’s suggestion, Grant is ready to schmooze General Hart into selling Hart Land and turn it into a high end luxury resort. Violet, the general’s granddaughter is staying with her grandparents until her yoga studio can reopen. Her approach and appreciation for life at the lake is very different from the workaholic Grant. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest an voluntarily given review. I love this sweet romance. Grant has to learn to find balance in his life. Grant learns that being out of cell phone range has its advantages. I recommend this book and series.

Ah those pesky grandparents, especially Violet’s grandfather “the General.” After finding husbands for Heather and Lily, he is once again wanting to find true love for Violet. Grant is sent to Hart Land by his own grandfather (a Navy General) with hopes of purchase of the land for real estate development. Instead of a sickly owner wanting to sell his land, Grant finds lots of granddaughters and cousins who plan to keep the land. One of those, Violet, the yoga instructor, warms his heart and changes his view on life. All the characters I have loved from previous books are here as well as the small town feel. I really like this series a lot.

Violet is forced to come home because of damage to her yoga studio. Grant is on a mission to buy the lodge from the General. Funny how their grandpas knew each other. We get to see the grandparents, Lucy, and the granddaughters. The author does a great job of describing the setting without being too wordy - I felt like I was there with them. There is chemistry between these two but what will happen when Violet finds out there is more to Grant's visit? Lucy was so funny - hope she eventually gets her own book. I voluntarily read this book and this is my review.

I lost my heart two books ago. Keniston blends emotion with humor and creates inspiring characters. Violet has a tendency to get lost in the background. Her calm nature doesn't always work in her favor, but when it comes to her family, she's all heart. Grant is about to find out just how fierce, this lioness can be. Violet's story is more subtle than Heather and Lily's. She creeps up on your heart and lays claim to your soul.

The third book in a series about The Hart family whose home base is a lakeside resort in a quaint New England town. Violet escapes to the lake because her life in Boston has turned upside down. She needs to find a new yoga studio for her classes and a new place to live. The task seems impossible. A new guest at the resort is occupying her time while she tries to search. A little mystery and a lot of romance seem to right her world. Love the characters and can’t wait for the next book!

A sweet love story with Violet getting her HEA with Grant. The author is a master at writing small town sagas with each member of the main family having their own love story.
I was gifted an advanced reader copy and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of the book. I recommend this book if you love reading clean romances.
