An easy to read and practical tool.

As I further my professional speaking career and being gifted this book by the man himself Richard Mulholland. I had to read this guide and authority on public speaking. My favourite part of this book is the way it was written, I feel like Rich was speaking to me the whole time with the annotations and images used being a perfect match.

Key Takeaways:
1. Peanutbutter and the Pill
2. Care. Belive (C.B ⚡️ K.D) Know. Do
3. Best version of Self.

My rating: 5 / 5

I read this while participating in A LOT of presentation practice, and other than the act of actually getting up and speaking, the teachings of this book had the biggest impact on my improvement. I attended workshops, compared against other decks, worked with content specialists and mentors, and while they provided some solid tips, there is a lot of conflicting advice out there. Einstein said that if you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough, and nothing quite compares to the cut-through-the-bullshit brass tacks offered here. Richard is a master of his craft with a refreshing approach to distilling business skills, and I feel like a better speaker for putting this book to work.

I watched many of the authors videos before reading so I am sure that helped me appreciate the style of the book. His sense of humor and storytelling make it an easy read. The book is a combination of perspective on communication & leadership and some easy ideas to incorporate. I like all the suggestions for other books and videos. I will likely return to the book for certain ideas but not a complete reread. I will read other books from this author.
