Aiden Inspired (Apr 2019) is his first published novel, featuring two disparate characters from New York and Washington State who meet and develop an unlikely bond. His second novel, Suzie Empowered (Feb 2020), is a followup featuring Aiden’s sister Suzie as she overcomes her fear of relationships with straight men due to a sexual assault in high school. In March, Blake returned to gay romance with his release of Bobby Transformed about an Iowa farm boy and a big city publisher. His first three novels share characters and can be read in order or randomly.

This was a fabulous story, I absolutely loved it. A nice budding romance that started at a drunken birthday party, two men getting closer and liking each other, a little sex here and there but not loads. Then the hijinks begin, thanks to a not so happy ex, and it gets quite intense. Triston it's desperate to win Zach back, he'd go to any lengths, any at all. Amazing writing, wonderful plots, just perfect.

The writing just isn’t there. The paragraphs are choppy and there is no real narrative flow. Character’s reactions are typically either overblown or just plain confusing. They are weirdly hard to relate to. Everything about Tristan and that group of friends was just weird and felt unrealistic.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

My family was just as crazy as ever but honestly the best kind of family anyone would be want and they wanted to celebrate my birthday in style.
Should of's and could of's only count in horseshoes and grenades and when you've totally over indulged in a nearly never ending chug of what ever was in your hand or the fact when you noticed the a hot guy worth trying to talk to only to disgrace yourself in the process.
Tonight was supposed to be a fun night out with a group of my friends only my ex-boyfriend didn't listening when I made my feelings crystal clear.
However once I'd kind of calmed down enought to notice everyone was still there.
Apparently I'd been to kind by keeping the true nature of our break up and I was tired of my friends thinking I was the bad guy.
Once me and the girls decide not to miss an opportunity to have a little fun that when I noticed a cute guy on the dance floor.
Only problem my ex-boyfriend turned up like a bad penny trying to cling all over me.
Not the best first impression but
I still wanted to talk to him but yeah that didn't go very well either however I did talk with his family.
Every year I seem to make the same mistake and end up the next day paying for it.
Zach his name was Zach and he was the poor guy... And my cousins were just trying to do me a solid when they invited him over to get to know the sober me.
Lane was one lucky guy especially in the family department all I had was my two brothers that I could call my own.
The last thing I wanted to deal with was an ex-boyfriend who was to dense to get a clue and a best friend who's about to find them on the ex list as well.
My date didn't go as well as I'd hoped for starters I had to explain about the rat problem I had who destroyed my possessions and now my shop to a hit as well.
However the hits just kept coming and to learn it wasn't just my vindictive ex-boyfriend no it was also my now ex-best friend.
The irony of how my brothers meet the two girls they were now dating? Yeah I know life is kind of funny that way.
Or even the private talk with Lane's mom was kind of on the weird but definitely sweet side and okay some of the things she said made perfect since.
However as much fun as family can be it was alone time that they really craved and neither was disappointed with their dessert.
Modern technology was great for those times were they couldn't hang out together but still needed to hear each other.
It would take awhile but I had to admit the fact Damien took the time to try and apologize made me a smidge less anger.
Lane had flabbergasted by the so called charges being leveled against him and the fact he wasn't being allowed to defend himself was outrageous.
Zach knew deep down this had to be because of him and he knew just who to ask.
However knowing and proving are two different things you can know something till the cows come mooing home but if you don't have anything concrete to back it up.
As luck would have they were offered a different solution to all their problems.

Here I am, once again, in the minority of reviewers. I didn’t think it was all that great. To me it was just mediocre. Yes, I agree that Lane and Zach made a nice couple and they were both quite likable. But that’s it. The rest of the prominent characters, Lane’s cousins and Zach’s friends, were actually pretty awful; loud, obnoxious, overbearing, self-centered, and so on. And the whole Triston thing was just ridiculous. He’s guilty of breaking and entering as well as vandalism at both Zach’s home and place of business, with video proof, yet he’s still walking around free with only some lame restraining order against him. Maybe that’s how things work in Nashville, but where I’m from, his ass would be in jail!
I also found that the story dragged quite a bit in the middle, and Lane’s and Zach’s internal conversations were becoming repetitive. Towards the end, as the drama was reaching it conclusion, the storyline became a bit too preachy for my taste.
This story could also have benefited from some good proofreaders. There were a surprising number of mistakes - incorrect pronouns, missing words, strangely worded sentences, etc. - that should have been caught beforehand.

If there’s a plan, it isn’t followed! Fun & sweet, mostly.

As first, second, third dates go, the handbook got lost. Chaos rules. Then an unconventional noisy nosey family is added, plus good exes and bad. The books a riot, mostly in a fun, hot way.

Tenacious was a delightful story of 2 young men how met in the absolutely most unforgettable way. Who wouldn’t remember the beautiful man Lane who barfed all over you! They attempted to date but Zack’s ex is totally crazy. Follow these men as they struggle to try to have a chance at a life together.

No surprise that a book called Tenacious can grab you.

In this novella, Zach, who has survived despite homophobic parents, meets Lane, with a family of lovingly quirky personalities, in one of the least attractive meet-cutes ever: a vomitous encounter, literally. Lane has had some bad love experiences, but Zach has something worse going on: his obnoxious, demanding ex-boyfriend refuses to accept it's over. His tenacious, obsessive acts trying to win Zach back throw obstacles onto the path to love Zach and Lane must travel. Not to worry; the HEA happens and the bad guy gets caught.

Allwood fills the story with an array of fun characters who are supportive and loving. The story moves quickly, the spice is nice, and the relationships grow naturally. Definitely a book to get ahold of.

Meet-cute

While barfing too many birthday drinks on a stranger might stillbirth any relationship, Allgood writes a clever, funny story involving much too much family.
