When the end of the world is no longer a question, but a countdown, how far would you go to survive?

Former Delta Force Captain John “Ice” McGinnon receives an urgent warning: a global catastrophe is imminent. With intel straight from the Pentagon, Ice and his elite team mobilize to protect their loved ones before society collapses.

Dr. Savannah “Van” Fastbender never expected to be at ground zero of a world-ending event, but being in the right place at the right time might just save her life. As she’s swept into Ice’s high-stakes mission, survival demands quick thinking, ruthless decisions, and trust forged under fire.

As the clock ticks down, Ice and Van face impossible choices, moral gray zones, and the burning heat of a passion they can’t ignore. Can they outpace the end, or will time, and their enemies, run them down?

Fast-paced, steamy, and unflinching—this is survival with a pulse.

As an Indie Author and lifelong avid reader, storytelling has always been a natural extension of who I am. I fell in love with books at a young age, drawn to the power of words to create worlds, challenge perspectives, and stir emotion. Writing became my way of adding my voice to that magic.

I gravitate toward stories of resilience, transformation, and the strength of the human spirit—often with a touch of romance and grit.

When I'm not lost in writing or devouring my latest read, I am a proud mom to the most beautiful dogs in the world, who never fail to remind me to take breaks, go on walks, and live in the moment.

Van was such a badass! Loved her to bits.
I was concerned that this may not be my cup of tea, due to the post-apocalyptic plot, but I was hooked from the beginning to the end.

The characters were well thought out, the plot was rife with tension and I am so keen to read the rest of the Bullet Burn series.
Can't wait to explore all the dynamics of Ice's team (and hopefully more of their romantic interests)!

Fire Storm is an inspired look at an unusual "End of the World" scenario. The characters are realistic, well thought out and excellently written. The plotline moves long at a rapid pace, keeping the reader eager to turn the page to find out what happens next. I especially loved the romantic twist and the friendships that they all formed.
Jax Farr is an inspired writer who captivates and delights. I cannot wait for her next book.

A wonderful first novel from an up-and-coming author!

Having had the privilege of reading the first book of this upcoming series prior to print, I can tell you that it is a nailbiting, riveting, rollicking saga which you will not be able to put down!!

A novel tailor-made for the times in which we live – testing the strength and resolve of the human survival instinct, relationships and everything else…

Cannot wait to read more...

Good read

I really enjoyed this book the characters were believable and well thought out .this story wasn't about tons of money to provide for the family ..This was more realistic working with what you have and building from that for survival .There is very little violence involved in the story line the biggest.disappointment I have is the sex scenes.were pornagraphic, I truly dislike reading.like.about people having sex I skipped so many pages because of this it takes away from the story line.just my opinion.

Really loved this book! Usually this genre (post-apocalyptic) is outside of my comfort zone, but I am really glad I have decided to read this book. The characters were likeable and the action was believable and there are some steamy scenes that made me blush!

I was so happy to find out that there is a book 2. You can definitely count me in for Cover Fire too. :)
