Into Temptation

Rate this book
Three heart-pounding dark romance thrillers from New York Times bestselling author, Pam Godwin: Unshackle, Dominate, and Complicate.

"If you love something, let it go. If it doesn't kill you, hunt it down and take it."

Cole Hartman is a mystery. He works alone, sleeps alone, and satisfies his aches...alone. He hasn't touched a woman in seven years. No one will ever compare to the one who broke his heart. Until he stares into the seductive eyes of his enemy.

Each standalone is a different couple with its own dark love story, all interconnected in a dangerous underworld of murderers, kidnappers, and cartels. Forget your comfort zones. This world isn’t pretty. But it’s oh-so-delicious and twisty.

With over 1000 pages of passion and suspense, this is the epic conclusion of the Deliver series. No cliffhangers.

Review: Unshackle

"𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽."

Unshackle was raw, dark, unapologetic, and beautiful. The characters were developed well with flaws and strengths. They were interesting and I found I was emotionally caring and rooting for Luke and Vera. The story's pace was fast and gave the reader an inside glimpse of what's going on at the La Rocha Cartel. Then there's the twist and turns that are superbly written and that I didn't expect. The writing was amazing and the storyline kept me engaged. In the end, you're still ready for more. Don't miss this riveting story. If you've read the previous novels all the better. I absolutely enjoyed this one and highly recommend it for those who are looking for a dark romance read.

Review: Dominate

"𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱."

I expect to enjoy reading this one and this book did not disappoint. Tomas and Rylee's story is captivating. A page-turner from the beginning; and it never lets up. There are tension-filled chapters that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The thing I like about this book is the amazing ability of the author to keep her characters so vivid in your mind and to keep you well absorbed in them. You can feel the emotions of every character in every scene. I really like Rylee and her never-give-up attitude. A perfect match to Tomas, indeed! Several characters from the previous novels are back to provide continuity, wise advice, and some comic relief. Overall, this book is a great read. I strongly recommend this book and if you've not had the opportunity to read the earlier books I recommend those as well.

Review: Complicate

Amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a fast-paced and exciting entry to the series. Complicate is the kind of story where you don't want to put it down until you finish it, but really don't want it to end. The suspense is non-stop. The steamy scenes are raw, dirty, and very titillating. Read until my eyes hurt as I was anxious to find out more about Cole and Lydia's story. I will not go into the storylines, as I don't want to spoil your fun in reading the book for yourself. But it is definitely worth your time to read.

Unshackle

This is another freaking amazing book to add to the series. I couldn't put this book down, I had to know what was going to happen next. This is the story of Luke with Thomas at his side trying to locate Vera and either end her or rescue her. There were a lot of twist and turns. If you have read the series then you know where and what Luke has endured which was so much but "Gina" has to be one of the strongest heroine that I have read in a long time. There were moments where I was holding my breath thinking OMG what is going to happen, how can she last. This story does have triggers of rape and spiders. Yes I said spiders and wowziers I will be thinking about that scene for a long time. Oh and Frizz made an appearance( really want his story). Pam in an author that can make you think you're in the story with the way she writes. Thank you Pam Godwin for allowing me to follow you through this journey. I think you and your stories are amazing!!!

Dominate

Well what can I say ... Pam did it again with another installment of the Deliver series. This one was hot and messed up just like all the other ones. I loved Rylee, she picked up and kept going when others would have stopped. Thomas ... Well he won me from the opening pages even though he is crazy lol! I love all of Pam's crazy hero's and yes they are all hero's . Can't wait for Coles story. If you haven't read this series you're missing out !! So good !!

Complicate

First off I'm sooo sad that it's over but Cole didn't disappoint. All throughout this series we see glimpse of Cole so I was always wondering what his story was. Then he meets his downfall in the name of Lydia. Oh what a hot intense connection, at first I didn't know if I would get past a certain part and still like her but dang it I did. Loved them both. They way this story played out was amazing. There was intensity, passion, pain, hurt, lies, and love oh so much love. Amazing series !!! Loved each and every story!

*This is my review for Dominate*

This series sure knows how to give me a gut punch, like nothing else. Its so powerful. Some times it scares me.

So this was still a good book. I mean, Pam knows how to tell a story. But strangely... this was the hardest one to get behind the hero....

That sounds bonkers, given some of our heroes were Cartel King Pins and Capos and sex traffickers but.... Tomas went too far for me in his torture. For being someone who has been tortured before... it was too much.

He didn't grovel enough for what he did and it left me annoyed for the last little bit.

I did like that this was an Older woman romance. I liked the rough crazy tension, as usual.... and I cannot wait for Cole's book and the finale of this amazing series.

I couldn’t love this series any harder if I tried. It’s raw and gritty and so deliciously dark and satisfying.

**Unshackle, book 7:

Another OUT-fucking-STANDING book in one of my favorite dark romance series!!

Deliver Series fans...
You’ll want to read this one!

This dark and deliciously twisted saga continues with all the nail-biting goodness that Pam expertly delivers with each book.

I love the way this author pushes boundaries, makes you question your morals, yet makes you fall fast and hard for the main characters.

Not gonna lie, I have a girl crush on the heroine, Vera. Which is not surprising, because Pam creates the most badass heroines who get caught up in the worst situations, but they can, and will, fuck you up.

And Luke Sanch... I’ve been intrigued by him from earlier in the series. To finally experience him up close and personal, to get inside his head, was a beautiful thing.

In an evil world of sick, depraved, and heartless men, Mexican cartels, and sex trafficking, I couldn’t help but devour this book. I didn’t want to put it down. It was an emotional roller coaster I didn’t want to get off of.

So wicked.
So intoxicating.
Downright painful to read at times.

Some scenes will make you cringe, some will definitely make you want to close your eyes, maybe even set your kindle down for a break.

And yet, within the crazy whirlwind of a story, wrapped up in a nice wrinkled and disheveled, little bow, is a fierce and powerful love story. One that hooked its claws into my heart and didn’t let go.

I can’t recommend this book enough.

Have you read the other six books?
If not, you should.
Then come dive into this one. If you’re a lover of dark romance, you will be glad you did.

**Dominate, book 8:

I. LOVED. THIS. HARD.

Dominate was yet another amazing story in the Deliver series. I was quickly pulled into it and captivated by the phenomenal storytelling, which is no surprise considering the entire series had been equally fan-fucking-tastic.

At the end of Unshackle, we were left with a nice little tease for this book. I wanted this story badly. Tomas’ story needed to be told. I wanted to experience it, feel it.

Tomas...so kickass, badass, and fierce.
Rylee...also badass, and determined, resilient, and brave.

These two together were FIRE. They were so drawn to each other, not only because of the emails, but because of their chemistry. It was powerful, it was explosive. It made my heart race.

The world building for this series is outstanding and has been since the very beginning. Rich and vivid descriptions took me away to a world so twisted and wrong, even though it felt so right.

Crazy intense moments left my heart pounding, emotional scenes squeezed my heart hard, & steamy scenes had me trembling with pleasure and feeling lovely everywhere.

Holy scorching hot scene...the grudge match in the desert? GEEZ. After reading that, I’m not sure if my hooha was tingling and deliciously satisfied or sobbing and begging for mercy.

If you’ve read the other 7 books in this series, then it’s a no-brainer, you need this one, too. If you haven’t, and you love dark romance that’s a little bit (okay, a lot) twisted and raunchy, start this series immediately.

**Complicate, book 9:

FanFuckingTastic!!!!!

So raw and gritty, this was yet another dark and delicious tale in the Deliver series. As I turned each page, I was once again awed by the talent of this author.

I wanted to devour this last book in one of my most favorite dark romance series ever. Yet I wanted to savor it and read ever so slowly to make it last. So sinfully and deliciously penned, this story satisfied me in all the ways. I laughed, I cried, I sizzled, I tingled. It rocked my fucking socks off.

I wanted a kickass heroine. Got one.
I needed to feel everything. I did.
I longed for Cole to get his HEA. DONE.

So many moments from this story played out in front of me with an intensity that had me breathing heavier and my heart beating faster. I could SEE everything. So many moments were intense and powerful and made me tremble with delight. I could FEEL everything.

I couldn’t be happier with the way this series ended.
Lydia was perfect, Cole definitely met his match. He fell, and he fell hard. And so did I. (#girlcrush) Their connection was undeniable, electric. They were so meant to be together.

The love and passion this author creates between her characters never ceases to amaze me. And Cole and Lydia were full of it, they loved fiercely.

I thought I loved Cole with my whole heart before I read this story. I was wrong. I didn’t think it was possible, but I fell for him even more. I didn’t think there’d ever be anyone good enough for him. Wrong again. Lydia is beyond compare. These two together were dynamite.

Not gonna lie, I’m a little sad this series is complete. I’ll never get enough of this group of sexy AF anti-heroes and badass heroines. All of these characters own a piece of my little black heart.

I loved this series so much and I highly recommend it to all dark romance lovers. The mind-blowing goodness and evil in a dark & twisted world of vigilantes and Freedom Fighters rocked my world every step of the way.

“Are you ready?”
“Fuck no.”
“Good girl. Stay on your toes. But know this…” He bent in and grazed his lips along her cheek. “No one will touch you but me.”
“Is that supposed to ease my fragile little rabbit heart?”
“There’s nothing fragile about you, and I’m counting on that.”

Man, did this book hit the ground running. This is another one that I devoured in less than a day, which is rare for me. I’ve now binged on three books from this series in a row, and I really don’t know what I’m going to do with my life when I’m done with this series.

Anyway…this is Luke’s story. The main thing we know about Luke is that he is the super hot one. Even more so than the other vigilantes which is saying a lot! He uses his looks to manipulate, connive, and slither into (or out) of whatever predicament he and the Freedom Fighters find themselves in.

This story starts off where Manipulate left off. Luke and Tomas are infiltrating the La Rocha cartel in search of Tula’s sister, Vera Gomez.

Right off the bat, nothing is ever what it seems in this dark and gritty world that Godwin has so beautifully created. Allies can be enemies. And seeming enemies may be more.

Luke is thrown into the chaotic and bloody world of the cartel where every decision is crucial. Appearances are vital, and to stay under the radar, he must truly take on the persona of a human slave owner, the thing he loathes the most.

“It seems every path I’ve taken, every decision I’ve made, all of it was meant to lead me here just so I could hear my name pronounced on your tongue.”

Do not underestimate my words when I say that this was one of the darkest installments of this series. There’s rape, brutal fighting, graphic bloodshed, and a scene with some spiders that I will be having nightmares about for a LONG time to come.

But Luke was also among the most romantic of the vigilante men. I adored how fiercely protective he was of Vera.

25564579

“Our souls match, and I don’t think it’s accidental. It’s as if they were merged together long ago, separated, and are finally reconnecting.”

The only issue I had with this one was the delivery of the female narrator on the audio. Her accent sounded so forced, like a bad impersonation. Now, being a Spanish speaker myself with many family members who speak English as a second language, I know I’m particularly sensitive to this. But I also know that NO ONE actually speaks English like this, regardless of how thick their accent is. It just took me right out of the story every time. Her internal POV was natural (no forced accent). I wish she just would’ve used it for the whole narration. I finally had to stop listening to her and read the chapters in her POV instead.

Other than that, this was another intense, unputdownable installment of this brilliant series. Dark romance GOLD!!!

"Oh, Rylee." Laughing cruelly, he dodged her strikes and swatted away her fists. "You break my heart."
"You harden mine."

The eighth installment of the Deliver series gives us the elusive Tomas’s story. I’ve been curious about Tomas for a while just because he seems to be the quietest of the group, and then there was mention about how he hasn’t had sex in like 10 years… and let’s not forget the other mention about his 10 inch…(because I sure haven’t!) These are all the makings for my favorite kind of reclusive, tortured hero.

However, in truth while there are parts of this installment that I really enjoyed, it was probably my least favorite of the series so far. I just thought some parts of the plot were a little far-fetched and over the top. And to be honest, at least in the first half of the book, I thought Tomas was just plain mean. I don’t think what Riley did warranted being thrown out in a desert, starved, and deprived of just basic human respect.

Also, while Tomas’s character was a massive improvement in the second half, there wasn’t much of a transition from enemies to lovers to just lovers. It was literally from one chapter to the next that he went from absolutely despising Riley to being all in with her. He did come to some realizations during some of the page time that was in Riley’s POV. I just think that maybe if the realizations he came to would have happened while we were on the page with him, the reader would’ve been able to “go there” with Tomas more. As it was it just seems like whiplash.

I did love some parts of the second half though. And, as always, this was an extremely steamy story with lots of scenes that burned up my Kindle! These two take hate fucking to a whole other level!!!

"He nibbled when she bit, caressed when she scratched, and hummed when she growled"

25107555
786429_zpsyvrif5of

The end spends a lot of time setting up for Cole’s story and I cannot wait to jump into that one next, though I don’t want this series to end!!!

"“If you put this much energy into hating me,” he breathed against her mouth, “I can only imagine the amount of intensity and passion you’ll put into loving me.”

"I’m addicted to you,” she breathed.
“I don’t want to be an addiction. I want to be the love of your life.”

To say that I have been looking forward to Cole Hartman's story would be one of the vastest understatements EVER in the history of the English language. I read the Tangled Lies trilogy back when it came out and although I was not #TeamCole, I loved him and his character radiated off the page!

We've been seeing glimpses of Cole throughout the latter part of this series which was so exciting. And I was happy to see that his bad assedness had not wavered in the least little bit.

15454398_zps6p3zc3ck

This book started out pretty strongly. When Cole finds himself captured by a seemingly Russian spy operative on a quest for information, he has to figure out what to do next. Now, at this point, it's been eight years since he lost Danni. While I did enjoy the whole "meet cute" between Cole and Lydia, the pacing of their evolution just seemed off to me. That combined with a storyline that was heavily loaded with sex and not enough emotion and depth to back it up just left me wanting.

Did I enjoy parts of this story? Yes.
Did I love it? Sadly, no.

Now, with everything above being said, if that would have been all, I probably would've rated this book a little higher, say 3.5 stars? HOWEVER, the cheesy political storyline that was, ermmmmm for the sake of avoiding spoilers, VERY parallel to certain recent events in American politics?? No, just NO.

28216228

This is where I come for my safe solace AWAY from all that crap. Please do not involve even 1% of real life bullshit with what is supposed to be fiction and fantasy and escapism. Not to mention, this author is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than some cheap political parody.

I will just say, it was disappointing.

I still loved this series overall and it is one of my top favorite dark romance series EVER, and I will miss this entire cast of characters terribly.

Pam Godwin TAKES ME TO PLACES I'VE NEVER BEEN IN WAYS I CAN'T IMAGINE WITH CHARACTERS I'VE NEVER KNOWN, AND MAKES ME LOVE THEM FOR WHO OR WHAT THEY ARE, GOOD OR BAD -- NO MATTER HOW UNCONVENTIONAL, DEPRAVED, DARK, OR UNUSUAL THE STORIES MAY BE.

PG is a master of the dark erotic genre, and this series has an action twist. The basic core of the series is a group of vigilante sex traffick hunters who band together as a family for love, and retribution -- often freeing their own from harm. But, the stories are much fuller than that … grittier and more complex. The must-have Deliver series of 9 novels is incomparable and not to be missed. Although the books are standalones and can be read as such, core characters thread through each book and PG does a masterful job of organically filling in the blanks for the reader, if not read in order. No worries if this is your first rodeo with Ms. Godwin. The series breakdown is:

#1 DELIVER US Box set
** Deliver
** Vanquish
** Disclaim

#2 FROM EVIL Box set
** Devastate
** Take
** Manipulate

#3 INTO TEMPTATION Box set
** Unshackle
** Dominate
** Complicate

This box set is the final 3 books in the series, and in some ways, PG has saved the best for last. Although first book DELIVER has a special niche in my heart … because it’s the mind-blowing book that started it all. Other reviewers may break down the stories for you in detail, but I’ll only offer a small taste. If you love dark, twisted, compelling, romance with kickass heroes and heroines who take names and keep the receipts, give as good as they get, and always take us to dark and depraved places that make us beg for more. Well then, you’ve come to the right place.

UNSHACKLE:
“By the end of this, his hands would be covered in blood. Vera Gomez’s blood.”

This book is the most darkly romantic of the series. What if the love of your life is your sworn enemy? A love match transpires between cartel royalty Vera Gomez and vigilante sex traffic hunter Luke Sanch in a sexy and tortuously spine-tingling undercover mission. Mistaken identity is involved, and Luke’s road is deadly and rutted with bad decisions. Surprises are littered everywhere like booby-trapped landmines. And Vera … she made me proud to be a girl.

DOMINATE:
“It takes three seconds to make a life-or-death decision”

DOMINATION HAS NEVER BEEN MORE LETHAL OR EROTIC in a passionately intimate, combative, kinky love story
with a fine line between love and hate that pushes the envelope in the most perversely delicious ways. This complex, penultimate story in the Deliver series follows vigilante killer Tommy straight from his last mission in Unshackle and in pursuit of vengeance against Rylee for her interference, which now endangers the lives of the entire Freedom Fighters’ tight-knit group. Their contest of wills is as gripping as the erotically combustible passion. It’s an age-gap romance between an older woman and younger man, but I believed in this couple, their unbridled hate, and the pages virtually smoked, sizzled and singed with passion.

COMPLICATE:
“Something was missing. Something significant. Troubling. Dread was eating him alive.”

DESIRE. PASSION. POSSESSION. OBSESSION. LETHAL DANGER.
Pam put her “all” into the last romance in the finale book of the series, between ex-black ops assassin Cole (a crossover character from the Tangled series) and ethereal, Russian femme fatale Lydia. PG saved the best – and final complication -- for last in the explosive finale. Danger, sex, technology, espionage, murder, and blackmail all come out to play a very wicked game that left me spent. Lydia’s a woman of strength, substance, and seduction, and Cole’s got a savage, kinky, brutal sexy side that’ll make you sweat. This series couldn’t have ended better.

What are you waiting for? One-click this boxset (and the previous two). PG will take you on the dark romance ride of your life with a masterful bunch of characters and stories etched forever on my heart.

UNSHACKLE:
Hop the fuck on, on this crazy wild ride Of Freedom Fighters through Trauma, Bloodshed and solidarity
Each member sexier, hotter and more determined than the last. They're zealously dedicated to their cause, often putting their lives on the line. Mottled with battle scars and medals of love, it's such a joy to see a series that doesn't loose the tempo as it progresses.

There's violence, subterfuge, bursting sentiments, lust, cruel retribution and cringe worthy punishments. Amidst it all is wild, raw bursting forth love.
Tighten your seat belts and takeoff your panties, it's gonna get hot, moist and ripping mayhem soon

DOMINATE:
Non stop action followed by marathon of volatile sex has me panting and craving for more..
Pam is the UNDISPUTED queen of volatile, kinky sex with dark undertones and sadistic overtones. Her evil, dirty taking brain creates scenarios with loads of angry, panty melting sex. The book practically resounds with the loud noises of slapping asses and choking breaths. Whew!! Is it hot in here or IS IT HOTTER IN HERE!!

COMPLICATE :
Holy smokes, is it hot in here or is it HOTTT... Burning with unbridled lust and unharnessed excitement, the series comes to an end with a befitting episode. It doesn't get more adventurous or more sexier than this.
Raw sexuality with an edge of danger, is the best how to describe the much awaited Cole Hartman story. It reminded me of the good ol'spy thrillers I was addicted to growing up. Pulse poundingly racy, driven purely on adrenaline and testestorone, this final book in Vigilante series gives us the much awaited closure to their warring journey.

I've been reading this series from the very beginning. I've been following this author since she first published Dead of Eve. Her writing has always been top notch. This story was no exception. It actually takes place somewhere in lower California. I kept wanting to picture Mexico because of the previous book. The twists and turns are brilliant. You don't know who is telling the truth or what the truth is until almost 2/3 of the way through the story. The story keeps you continuously on edge. There is a scene in the book that could freak you out if you have arachnophobia. I'm so glad this was not a movie or I would have had to cover my eyes. This story isn't as long as the others in this series but it ties up the story of Vera Gomez and Luke Sanch very nicely. It also opens up Tomas Dine's story for the next book.

DOMINATE.
I really liked this one. I didn't think that I would like it as much as I did. Pam Godwin should be as famous as Nora Roberts. Pam's writing is much more exciting. If these authors were ice cream, Ms. Roberts would be vanilla and Ms. Godwin would be maple candied, chocolate covered bacon - sweet and salty, unusual and meaty.

COMPLICATE
This was a fantastic ending to Cole's story and an epic series. I loved this book and am sorry to see the series end. I feel a loss like when the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series ended on TV. It has given me the worst book hangover ever.
I highly recommend that you read the Tangled Lies trilogy by Pam Godwin before reading this final book so that you have the background to Cole's relationship with Danni Savoy. I'm going to assume that you've read the rest of the Deliver series already.

Seeing the Freedom Fighters continue to fight the good fight was so satisfying.
If I were making a movie of this book I would fit the Hallelujah song by Leonard Cohen into  the last chapter. The song mixes, love, sex, politics, and religion together. It tells of broken love, true love remembered and mourned, guilt, penance, and of finding peace. All of these things are in this story. https://youtu.be/YrLk4vdY28Q

I have been anxiously and patiently waiting to read Luke's story and it was so much better than I had expected.
Luke and Tomas are undercover to find and rescue Tula's sister Vera and find themselves caught up in the La Rocha cartel. This despicable group of vermin do unspeakable things to women. Luke and Tomas become entangled in the lies and deceit at their compund.
This series is spectacular and all encompassing. Unshackle captured me immediately and I could not put this book down!

Tommy's story, and it was absolutely perfect. Tommy has been writing emails to his love that died suddenly for 10 years, assuming they were not being read by anyone. But while taking down the La Rocha cartel someone replied to his last email. Now he is on the hunt for the person who read his private thoughts.
Rylee is a woman who has her own demons and issues but she has read every personal email that Tommy wrote and has reached out to him.
This story encompasses all the facets of a well written and entertaining story. There is loneliness and hope, danger and espionage, lies and deceit, but most importantly there is trust and love.
I can't wait for Cole's story!
Complicate
Wonderful finale to a spectacular series!
I was so excited for this final, 9th book, and Cole's story! But now I'm so sad because the series is over!
The elusive and pragmatic Cole is finally brought to his knees by the voluptuous and beautiful Russian spy Lydia. He is so strong and virile but has met his match in in this gorgeous woman.
This story takes the reader on an intense and exciting tour around the world. We are exposed to espionage, intrigue, and passion in this well written and much loved final story.
If you have not started this series I highly recommend you do!

Dark and twisted for all the right reasons.

Unshackle (Book 7) 4.5 stars

“He wouldn’t leave without her.”

The human trafficking world just gets worse.
My favourite books are one that involve drug cartels. I love reading about them even fiction. Pam wrote this so well. I could picture everything. Absolutely brilliant I did not know what way this book would go. Luke goes undercover, he has to rescue Vera who is being “held”/ working by the cartel. Their story is full of twist and it’s dark one of the darkest, part make made feel uneasy lol.. But that’s why I loved it. Luke is 🔥

Dominate (Book 8) 5 stars

“The face staring back at me isn’t mine. It’s the face of a defeated woman. I don’t recognise her. I don’t accept her, and I fucking despise her for the things she cannot change.”

This book. Just thinking about it makes me emotional, a bit angry and super super hot, how is that possible. This one pulled at my heart from the first page. Rylee is definitely different from the other ladies in this series and I think that’s what draw me to her. This one is definitely fast paced, I loved the instant connection between Rylee and Tomas even if he was a d**k. Together they were everything once they found their way. Tomas story hurt, after losing someone he loves, he starts to write emails/ letters not knowing the person who receiving them is Rylee. Over 10 years, Tomas keeps writing not getting over his pain. oVER THE PAST 10 YEARS Tomas has been saving Rylee having know due who she is.

“It takes three seconds to make s life or death decision.”

Complicate (Book 9) 4.5 stars

“In seven years, no one had come close to capturing his interest. He was officially, certifiably enthralled, and until he understood why, he wasn’t walking away from this.”

This is the final book in the series and it’s one I have been desperate to read. It’s many people favourites out of all the books and I now know why. What an ending. I’m sad it now over but it was perfect. I found this book different to the others, and it wasn’t what I was expecting when it came to Coles love life.
All throughout the other books we see parts of Cole but we don’t truly learn who he is. Slowly in this book, you learn his ways, why he is this grumpy man with a chip on his shoulder. He chose his job over his love but things don’t plan out and the love they have isn’t enough anymore, he decide to go back to work with the freedom fighters, only to be taken by a Russian woman.
Lydia has been hired to find something and the only way to find it is to take Cole.
I found this book to be one of the hottest in the series. Omg he is desirable on another level. The way their relationship starts is brilliant. It’s so hot. It gives you all the feels. Lydia and Cole are completely perfect for each other. I so happy they he got a HEA. They are like the same person and I’m so happy he found his person. 😊

The most perfect ending for the most twisted, emotional series ever.

This series changed my views on dark romance massively before I would try stay away from anything like this. These books / couples have open my eyes to a new dark world. Each book pulled me in and made me do a 180 on how I should have felt. Pam defiantly messes with your feelings.
I would say TAKE IS MY TOP READ, Vanquish as well and Dominate but all the books are amazing. Pam has a way with pulling at my heart🖤 and messy with my head.

Unshackle (Deliver, #7)
4 stars

Just when I was figuring things out I was WRONG! I love the unexpected. This one sucked me in. I just love Pam's imagery she uses in the books as if I can see this being a movie! I can't believe the world she has created and everything that has happened with what these characters have gone through in this 9 book series. But getting closer to the end of this series is going to be bitter sweet. Toma's then Cole's!

Dominate (Deliver #8)
4 stars

So this one took a different turn then the rest of the series. Still a lot of unexpected things happened. A bunch of twist and turns. Tommy and Rylee are perfect for each other despite their tragic backgrounds and how they met. Rylee basically had nothing to lose to do what she did, basically left everything to meet Tommy. We also end up learning more about Cole and with the cliffhanger, I look forward to the series finale.

Complicate (Deliver #9)
4 stars

Well a lot of fans of the Tangled Lies trilogy have waited for this book! The series finale to the Deliver series and Pam delivered. The way Lydia and Cole met and throughout the first 25-35% trying to get past the unconventional way this couple was connecting was hard for me to actually see the connection between the two. This definitely was unexpected for me as I'm having a bit of conflict on Cole's story. Seeing all of our characters throughout was great its just that I'm just sad to say goodbye to this series. What a ride this series was. I wonder what Pam has next up her sleeve.

I received these books at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

UNSHACKLE

Unshackle is the 7th book in the Deliver series and it’s an OMG read, not for the faint of heart! I had forgotten how I felt at the ending of Manipulate that I had to take time and decide on how I felt about the book. Well I felt a little like that with Unshackle too.

This is Luke Sanch’s and Vera Gomez’s story. Unshackle had me biting my nails and all sorts of nervous things while reading. There is violence and dark themes to this story. I felt like I was reading with one eye open and wary about what would happen next. There are so many twists and turns to the story and there were times when I wanted to put this book down but found I couldn’t because I needed to find out what was going to happen next. That’s what makes it a great book to read but only if you are prepared for a pretty dark book to read! 4.5 Stars for this one.

DOMINATE
Dominate is the 8th book in the Deliver series. Each book can be read as a standalone. But, it is best to read each of these books in order. See below for the order. It helps to keep me straight on all the stories and characters.

This is Rylee and Tomas Dine’s story. Rylee Sutton hit a low point in her life. Her husband had left her for another woman. You know the old story where she puts him through med school then found him having sex with another woman. Now she can either end her life or live with the pain or move on, stop feeling.

Now 10 years later who knew that this would lead her into an even darker point in her life. When she meets Tomas Dine.

This is another pretty dark story in this series. But then all the other book in this series have been pretty dark. So be prepared.

I love how authors incorporate the other characters from a series and then I get to follow up on them from the previous books in the series.

DELIVER series (HEAs with no cliffhangers - must be read in order):

Deliver Us - Box Set
Deliver #1 - Joshua Carter & Liv Reed
Vanquish #2 - Van Quiso & Amber Rosenfeld
Disclaim #3 - Matias Guerra & Camila Dias
From Evil - Box Set
Devastate #4 - Tate Vade & Lucia Dias
Take #5 - Tiago Badell & Kate
Manipulate #6 - Martin Lockwood, Ricky Saldivar & Tula Gomez
Into Temptation - Box Set
Unshackle #7 - Luke Sanch & Vera Gomez
Dominate #8 - Tomas Dine & Rylee Sutton
Complicate #9 - Cole Hartman & Trace Savoy and Danni Angelo

I read something at the end of this book that tickled me pink!!! There is a teaser at the end of this book for the next book, Complicate. I didn’t realize that the Deliver series Cole was the same Cole in The Tangled Lies series! Another must read if you love dark books.

COMPLICATE

Complicate is the ninth book in the Deliver Series and brings around the conclusion of the Deliver Series and a tie in with Tangled Lies another of Pam Godwin’s series. And, in my opinion, it is also a must read series.

We first met Cole Hartman in Tangled Lies and Cole shows up again in Unshackle, book 8. Complicate is a great ending to a great series. This is my favorite book out of the entire series and it has been a 5+ STAR series!

I wanted Cole to have Danni again but this book took their relationship in another direction and in my opinion a much better direction where she gave Cole a woman of his very own! ;)

I am sad to see the Deliver Series end. I don’t know what is next for Pam Godwin but all I know is I can’t wait! I love her style of writing. So whatever is next, I will be reading it! 5 + Stars for this book and the entire series.

Unshackle review:

“It seems every path I’ve taken, every decision I’ve made, all of it was meant to lead me here just so I could hear my name pronounced on your tongue.”

THIS BOOK! Pam Godwin, you sneaky sneaky woman. This book took me on a JOURNEY of emotions. You start off thinking this book is going to be one way and then it completely flips your expectations on its head.

I loved Luke and his girls story. She was a fighter and strong, resilient character and Luke was so alpha and hot but so caring.

There was one scene that literally had my heart beating out of my chest and there were scenes that made me burst out loving! I really enjoyed this journey and I’m READY for Tomas’ book!!!

Dominate Review:

4 stars

Dominate is the 8th book in the Deliver series and this time it's Tomas' story. After reading unshackle, I was really excited for what was to come in Tomas' story and Mr. 10 inches did not disappoint me!

This is about Tomas Dine, Freedom Fighter and ex-captive of Van and Liv. When he was younger he lost the love of his life and continued to e-mail her and spill all of his secrets to her inbox. Except, one day Rylee Sutton finds e-mail login information in a thrifted coat and starts reading all of Tomas' secrets. For 10 years, Rylee reads the secret e-mails until one day she finally e-mails him back. Rylee goes to meet Tomas and finds herself face to face with a man who hates her. They embark on a journey of hate and lust, secrets and lies.

This book had me at the edge of my seat, I was so anxious! I really enjoyed Rylee and Tomas' story and I am DYYYYYING for Coles! I'm so ready but also really scared for this series to end!

Complicate Review:

"In seven years, no one had come close to capturing his interest. He was officially, certifiably enthralled, and until he understood why, he wasn’t walking away from this."

I don't even know where to start with reviewing this. I'm still really emotional and sad over that fact that the series is done. What a perfect way to end this series with Cole Hartman.

I was really nervous going into this book because I've read the tangled lies trilogy and I was worried that no woman would ever be good enough for Cole and fill the void that Danni left in him. This book exceeded my expectations and more. The storyline was perfect and I loved how the relationship developed between Lydia and Cole.

Lydia was the perfect fir for Cole. As much as Cole would have been happy with Danni, he wouldn't have been fulfilled living a normal life and doing a normal job, but with Lydia he can have that intense love while also working with the freedom fighters and doing what he loves.

The way everything came together in the end was absolutely perfect. We got a lot of closure and glimpses of every couple from previous books. ugh i just loved this so much!!!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
TW: Rape, Violence, Sex Trafficking, Explicit Sexual Content, Crude Language, Psychological Torment and BDSM.

This is a review for this series as whole.

I am fully convinced now, Pam Godwin is a witch. There is something utterly addictive in every word she writes. Her Deliver series starts tense, mysterious and raw and when you least expect it, she brings in different characters with several different layers. The complexity of this world, these feelings and these stories are out of this world.

You will find out new things about yourself while reading this. You will explore mind games you wish you could play, intense and insane love stories you would like to experience and as usual, Pam will give you new kinks and secret fantasies to dream about.

I don't know how she does it, but her writing speaks to me on a whole different level. It is raw, brutal, dark, tormented, breathtaking and unputdownable. I honestly can't remember the last time I opened a Pam Godwin book and I didn't finish it on the same day.

This series will betray you, hurt you, hit you, f*ck you hard against a wall, then cuddle in bed with you later while you cry about how much you love these characters. You will find yourself hating some of them just to fall in love with the same guy further down the line. Pam made irredeemable characters redeemable, she made unlovable characters lovable, she made weak characters strong and she will take your breath away and your virginity all over again with her deliver series.

If you are a fan of Dark Romance and you need the extra spice, the extra roughness inside of an impeccably written world, this series is for you.

This isn’t your sweet dark romance, this is gritty, painful, real, and powerful. These three full length books finish off the Deliver series, which showed us a scarred and brutal world and the people who fight back against it
Unshackle
This book had a great slow build, revealing little bits and pieces as the story unfolded. Then, wham, it all started to unravel, come apart, come together, and my pulse picked up and I couldn’t read the pages fast enough. Dark, gritty, painful, and full of despair, there was very little light in this story. Loved Luke to death, loved Vera even more
Dominate
Well, that was scorching hot, and dark, and delicious, and can you say amped up, pent up, angry times a thousand? Oh yeah, it was that good, but it also had a layer of emotions that were always right there, unable to touch, but just below the surface. Tomas and Rylee were a focal point, they really epitomized this journey, they had been together from the start, even though they didn’t know it, and they brought a certain closure to some things as well.
Complicate
Cole gives us the grand finale, and he wasn’t even there for the beginning, but he made his way into this group, and by doing so, found his home. The same can be said for when he finds his woman, his new, his forever HEA. When Cole get’s back everything that has been in limbo, on hold, stashed away, for years, you smile and feel the joy that he got a new and better life back. When Cole, in the epilogue, is doing what he wants, with his people all around him, you give an evil Van grin because you know it is so right, and just, and perfect, and exactly where he should be <3

Into Temptation: Books 7-9 (Deliver Box Set Book 3) will without a doubt have you gripped! There are plenty of thrilling twists and turns in this darker than dark series of redemption, forgiveness, and love, as the damaged heroes wreak havoc against evil captors, slave traders, and warlords. I highly recommend it!

The last 3 books in the Deliver series in one bundle!

Unshackle
*Bow down* to the queen of dark romance.

Unshackle is another deliriously dark, twisted and mind blowing book in the Deliver series. The characters and the underground world of cartels and human trafficking continue to get darker and more intense with each book and that makes my little black heart deliciously giddy with excitement.

Pam Godwin is freaking brilliant and I cannot say that enough, this woman is a literary genius. Each scene is written so vividly that you can almost picture it as a movie

Dominate
*fans self* 🥵 5 Deliciously Dark Stars!

Pam Godwin has weaved another masterpiece. Dominate is a page turner! Tomas and Rylee's story is of course dark but it's also fast paced, suspenseful, so decadently satisfies the senses.

There are 7 other books in the Deliver series and I reccomend reading them in order to get the full effect of each of the characters and for background of the other characters because they do make an appearance in the later books.

Complicate
I've been waiting so long for Cole's story! If you read the Tangled Lies series you'll recognize Cole Hartman from that series and he's also crossed over into the Deliver series.

In Complicate we get more of Cole's backstory, we experience his deep heartache and pain from his POV over losing someone he loved and how he immersed himself so deep into his work to forget that pain and loneliness.

For eight years he carried those painful memories everywhere he went until he finds his match in a Russian beauty. At first I wasn't feeling the connection between Lydia and Cole, I guess because maybe my heart was still stuck in the past like Cole's.

I remember the intense love and connection he had with Danni and it just wasn't there for me between he and Lydia. However; I did enjoy seeing their relationship develop throughout the book.

What a fantastic journey Pam Godwin gave her readers with this series and although I'm sad to see this series end I'm ready to for whatever Pam has in store next for her readers.

Unshackle

WHAT A RIDE!
Just when you start to wonder where these books could possibly go that they haven’t already, you read the next book and say, oh okay, then. Because somehow, not only is it possible to reach new depths of grit and depravity, it’s also the raw, heartbreaking moments of tender, heart wrenching connection that suck you in completely and make you lose yourself all over again to the story.
This world Pam has created for the Freedom Fighters is, in many ways, so bleak and devastating that these books should be unbearable to read, and in places, they often are. But there’s that old adage about flowers blooming through hardship, and it’s no different here. We’ve been given a cast of ex-slaves who should not only be damaged, but broken beyond repair. Yet, through their hardship, they’ve formed these unbreakable bonds with each other - a family. Connected by a harrowing past; united by a common goal. The lengths they’ll go to for unlawful justice is a testament to the horrors they’ve experienced, and their desire to rid the world of the lurking evil of human trafficking.
Luke was compelling the moment he appeared on the page. His internal battle between his conscience and his own desires made him beautifully, unbearably human. Despite the difficult subject matter and choices made in the interest of the greater good, it was impossible not to empathize with Luke. He and Tomas really were brothers in arms, in all the ways that count.
And his fighter? Well, she exploded into the story, grabbing not only Luke’s attention, but the reader’s as well. Not knowing where her story was headed, or why it was relevant, my immediate response was to root for her. And that feeling only intensified as the story did.
The lack of cliffhangers make this series of interconnected standalones easier to wait for, and the cameos from previous couples provides levity to counter the heavy depth. There’s also something to be said for the sheer skill of Pam’s writing in setting up the upcoming story for Tomas. Waiting is getting harder!

Dominate

Another heart stopping installment featuring our favourite rag-tag band of criminal vigilantes, and this time, we’ve come full cycle and ended up back in Texas.
I’ve been intrigued with the premise of this book since those first cryptic comments about Tomas’ email account in Unshackle. And the really interesting thing about Dominate is that the focus is so out of the ordinary, considering all that has come before it.
What starts as hate and rage between Tomas and Rylee evolves quickly, blending intensity with vulnerability and creating the perfect storm of emotions.
The story is captivating from the first page, and keeps you guessing right up ‘til the end.
While the conclusion is satisfying, the story is far from over, and out of all these books so far, this is the one that I’d consider to be the closest to a cliffhanger. Isn’t it funny how you can read a series spanning years and be fine to wait in between, but the closer you get to the very last full stop, you suddenly can’t wait anymore? No, just me? 🤣

Complicate

The entire Deliver series concludes the way it began - with a bang!
There are two major parts going on with Complicate as a book. The first and obvious being that we finally - FINALLY - get Cole closure. Does he ever truly move on from his dancer? Does he gain a real family and fulfillment in his life?
The second is the more subtle, but no less present, reality that this is the end of the road for us on our journey with the Freedom Fighters. One last hurrah, you might say, for us to live vicariously through these vigilantes we’ve grown to care so much for.
Complicate opens at the point in Three is a War where we witness Cole accepting his and Danni’s fate and ultimately letting her go. What was hard to read through Danni’s lens is all the more profoundly heartbreaking after seeing Cole’s impending struggles, and ultimate inability to move on in the past few Deliver books. It’s no secret that I was always Team Trace for Danni, and while that didn’t change, I had so much more compassion for Cole this time, which set the mood of the book from the outset.
We jump seven years to the point in the desert where Dominate left us reeling with uncertainty and a healthy dose of fear.
Cole is whisked away under threat to his family by an unknown enemy who refuses to offer any clues about what he’s walking into. Expecting the worst, what follows is a winding trail of secrets and agendas, corruption and artifice, plus a healthy amount of impending doom and deadly enemies on all sides.
But through all the chaos and uncertainty, what emerges is a beautiful story about hope and second chances. In Lydia, Cole meets not only his match, but also his own redemption. Letting go for Cole means forgiving himself, and learning to live again. Moving on for Lydia means accepting that while her past is paved in sadness, her future is full of hope.
There’s been a lot of touching moments throughout this series, but none hit me quite like this book. And they came in unexpected moments, with unexpected characters.
It’s impossible to read this many books in a series - or two series’, depending where you started - without getting attached. Starting all the way back with Liv and Josh, where we were forced to hate Van with a raging passion, until Pam did the unthinkable and redeemed Van, giving him Amber. We’ve traveled through multiple countries, witnessed unspeakable atrocities, wiped out evil, and fallen in love. Through every couple’s journey as they found their place with their family of Freedom Fighters, these are characters and stories that will stay with me forever. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect conclusion, and I feel like we have irrefutable certainty that this merry band will grow old together, dolling out their own brand of vigilante justice until they’re ready to pass the baton to the next generation.

UNSHACKLE

Unshackle is the 7th book in the Deliver series, and what a series it is! I don’t know how Pam does it, but she continues to up her game with each book. If dark, twisted stories with depraved characters, hot heroes, and strong heroines that will push your boundaries are your jam, well, this series is for you.

Luke is on an undercover mission as a buyer for a sex slave, with Tomas posing as his bodyguard to infiltrate the La Rocha Cartel to find and seduce Vera Gomez and determine if she is working with the cartel and needs to be killed. What he didn't count on was meeting a scrappy, fierce fighter held captive to enthrall him and almost cause him to blow his mission.

Unshackle will keep you glued to the pages with its twist and turns, your heart in your throat, and all your nails bit off. But most importantly, you be left feeling satisfied and excited to get your hands on the next book in the series.

DOMINATE

This story was so hot steam should have been coming off the pages!

I have been waiting for Dominate since the end of Unshackle when Tomas takes off from the La Rocha cartel compound in pursuit of vengeance against Rylee for her interference that has now put all the lives of the Freedom Fighters in danger all because of a piece of paper she found in a pocket of an old coat. Rylee suspects it’s a trap meeting Tomas but her need to try and help him and apologize for invading his privacy is more potent than her self-preservation.

When the two of them get together, you might want to wear oven mitts cause the sex between them is hotter than the middle of summer in the scorching desert. Probably one of the hottest sex scenes I’ve ever read.

But as Tomas is trying to figure out if Rylee can be trusted, he discovers that someone wants Rylee dead, which changes everything.

A very entertaining story with many layers to it that sets up the final book in the Deliver series beautifully. But be warned, if you don’t like dark, twisted books that’ll push your boundaries, this series isn't for you.

COMPLICATE

WARNING: If you haven’t read the Tangled Lies series don’t read any further for there will be spoilers in this review.

What a way to end the amazing Deliver series by saving the best for last, and by best, I mean Cole Hartman.

Reading Complicate was a bittersweet experience. On one hand, is the conclusion of the Deliver series. On the other, after patiently waiting since the Tangled Lies Trilogy, we finally get Cole Hartman’s story and he gets his much-deserved HEA.

Ever since One Is A Promise, I have always been #TeamCole. I cried for him while reading that trilogy and my heart broke when he didn’t get the girl. But then Ms. Godwin did something brilliant and immersed Cole into the Deliver series as a lone undercover operative who helps the Freedom Fighters when they need the use of his particular skill set on their missions. Over time, he becomes part of their team and a member of their dysfunctional family that he knows he can always trust and depend on.

By the time we get to know Cole’s story in Complicate, it’s been seven lonely years since he lost Danni to his best friend Trace. For seven years he’s been carrying a torch for her. And it’s been seven years since he’s touched another woman. How can any woman compete with that?

The main concern I had when I found out Cole was getting his own book was, would Ms. Godwin be able to create a woman that was the complete opposite of Danni and be worthy of Cole’s love? For her to be worthy of that love, she must be extraordinary to be able to break the seven-year hold Danni has on Cole’s heart and finally knock her off the pedestal he’s put her on. I believe Ms. Godwin accomplished that in spades with Lydia.

From the moment Lydia arrives on the scene on her BMW motorcycle, you know she’s a force to be recognized. With both arms sleeved in tattoos and exuding a rockabilly vibe from head to toe, she looked more like a sexy pin-up girl than an undercover Russian spy and she was about to complicate the hell out of Cole’s life. I fell in love with her right away! God himself couldn’t create a more perfect woman for Cole than Lydia.

Out of the entire Deliver series, Complicate is my favorite with its James Bond/Jason Bourne political spy thriller theme it gives off. Talk about a license to thrill, this book has it all, intrigue, action, romance, and corruption in the upper echelon of US politics, and Mr. Double-Oh-Sexy himself, Cole Hartman. You’ll be lighting up a cigarette when you’re done reading this truly satisfying page-turner.

One of Ms. Godwin’s gifts in all the Deliver series books is that she makes you fall in love with these effed-up characters that you should hate or at least question your sanity for loving them. Even though Danni and Trace are not on the same level of a former sex trafficker or the drug cartel when it comes to effed-up characters, Ms. Godwin did manage to make me fall in love with them, which was a miracle cause I hated those two with a passion with the way they did my boy, Cole, dirty. Ms. Godwin redeemed those two in Complicate and gave closure and reconciliation to two important relationships in Cole’s life. Giving Cole that, and the family he found in the Freedom Fighters, his HEA with Lydia, what a beautiful way to end this epic series. Bravo, Ms. Godwin! Bravo!

I really ended up enjoying this series, but it is DARK romance. Dub con, non con, violence, and torture. But you still get an HEA!

I’ve been a fan of the Deliver series ever since I read Vanquish (yes, I realize that’s the second book, so you might be wondering why I’m not talking about Deliver and the answer is because I actually haven’t read it which I know isn’t ideal, but I still love the series, so back to the main review now) and I would read each new book as it came out or at least I did until Manipulate. I put off reading it because I had expected the book just to be about Ricky and Martin, so when Tula was added, I guess I was a little nervous since I don’t read a lot of thruple/RHs as my preference runs more towards just two people. So in classic me style, I procrastinated reading Manipulate until Into Temptation was coming out and then I really got on the stick because I wanted to finish out the series and see how it all ended. So how did it end? Perfectly. It’s so bittersweet to have read the final book and know that there’s no more books coming out and that if I want to see these characters again, I’ll have to do a re-read not that that is a hardship at all!

I was immediately excited to read Luke’s book as he’s a ginger and I’m a ginger and I’m always down to read a fellow ginger! That wasn’t the only reason though, I really wanted to know what was up with Tula’s sister and get some answers. The beginning was really hard to read, pretty dark but then that dipped off a little and Luke and his fighter took center stage. I really felt for those two, they had a lot to deal with, but they had a solid, strong connection. It was a bit cheesy at times, but I loved their strength, their will, and how much they fought for each other. Unshackle was twisty and turny, full of suspense and heat, and the love was fierce and sweet. It was an excellent start to this box set, it goes hard and sets up the rest of the series and after I finished it, I couldn’t wait to dive into Dominate!

I wasted no time starting Dominate, I had no idea how this book was going to go and oh man, I was hooked from the very first page! I feel like I flew through this, I did not want to stop reading! Dominate got my blood pumping, my mind engaged, and put me on the edge of my seat — I was totally invested in seeing how everything was going to play out. It was thrilling and frustrating and sometimes I just wanted to shake Tomas, he was a bit of turd and I was so all in on Rylee. She’s amazing, she’s a total boss and I flipping loved her — I mean, I loved Tomas too, he’s so devoted and loyal, I just love Rylee more, hence why I was mad at him. All that aside, watching Rylee and Tomas grow and help heal each other was truly beautiful and heartwarming. I’m so happy they found one another when they needed to I just love them.

There has been nothing I wanted more than for Cole to find his happily-ever-after ever since Devastate (maybe even since Vanquish but it’s been a long time since I read it and I can’t remember how much we see of him in it, so I’ll just stick with Devastate as I know I for sure wanted his story after reading it). I’ve been broken hearted for him and I just wanted him to be happy. While Complicate might not have been as dark as some of the previous books, it still hit me right where it hurts. It made my heart ache, it made tear up more than once and ripped my heart out a little. It’s not all angst, the push and pull between Cole and Lydia was delicious to watch and it had super sweet moments, it was just really bittersweet to read knowing that it was the last book of the series. As I said before, it truly ended perfectly, there’s nothing I would want changed and even though I’m sad it’s over, I love that everyone in this crazy, wild, wonderful group of characters has found their person and are happy, having fun, and kicking butt!

You know I recently read and reviewed a box set and I was going on and on about how much I loved doing that and how I am/should read more box sets and I don’t want to say I regret saying that, but boy, reading and reviewing box sets is hard work. They take a lot of time and energy and while I loved Into Temptation and it was totally worth it, I think it’s safe to say, I’ll be sticking with single books for awhile. Now I suppose I should actually talk about the content within instead of the external process that comes along with it. Anyway, wow, what do I say? I feel like I’m not just reviewing the last few books in the series, but the series as a whole. The Deliver series has been one of my favorites for years, I’ve had some all-time favorite heroes and books come out of it and it’s hard to believe that it’s reached the end. It was hard and dark, frustrating and heartbreaking, and also so beautiful and moving and full of love, friendship, family, sweetness and warmth. It is a group of people and stories that I will never forget and I will absolutely visit this world again someday — I love and adore it so much!

I wish I could write a review for this magnificent series but no words can do it justice so I’ll just wait out another year or so to reread it and see if the words would come flowing.

This anthology contains the last three books in the Deliver series. They are a dark trio of powerful, gripping stories in the Deliver collection. These couples will pull you down into dark places, with twisting turns and powerful, blazing love stories like you've never seen before.

Unshackled 5 of 5 stars

Luke Sanch and Tomas Dine infiltrate the La Rocha slave ring in their hunt to find Vera Gomez and disable their organization.

Luke knows what must be done to impersonate a slave buyer, it's ugly, dark and gritty and not for the faint of heart. What he doesn't expect is to connect so deeply and fall in love.

This story takes hard twists and turns but ends in blazing love that will risk all.

I can't say too much without giving away important storyline but this story will grab you and not let you go until the end. There is significant violence in this story as well as rape and torture. Godwin pulls you into the dark side before she lets you see the sun.

Dominate 5 of 5 stars

Tomas Owen Dine lost his great love at seventeen. He lost his mother to cancer and was kidnapped, raped and prepared to be sold by a human trafficking ring. He went from victim to becoming a deadly part of the Freedom Fighters. During this time, he sent emails, sharing his heart and soul to his dead girl.

Rylee Catherine Sutton was betrayed by her husband. Her sense of loss and betrayal has her sitting on a bridge ready to jump until she sees the email from Tommie saying 'I need you.' If he can survive the loss so can she and sets a path for her career and to never let anyone get that close to her again.

When the last email Tommie sends says goodbye, Rylee panics and responds for the first time in the ten years she's been reading his emails. This sets into place a chain of events, that start out with hope by Rylee and rage and betrayal by Tomas.

These two take a dark, cruel and twisted path to each other. His rage is incandescent and he takes it out on her, it's difficult to read at times, but equally hard to put down. Both of these two have issues to work out and I was surprised they were able to turn it around in nine days. I would have liked more time for them to get there.

While I may not understand these two entirely, I'm glad they had a happily ever after and I loved seeing so many of the previous couples help this story and lay the path for the final book 'Complicate.' I can't wait for Cole's story."

Complicate - 4.5 of 5 stars

You don't have to have read the 'Tangled Lies' series or the 'Deliver' series to enjoy this book but I'd recommend at least reading the 'Tangled Lies' series to really understand Cole's history in this book. That said the author does an amazing job of giving us the info we needed from the previous books to have insight about him today.

Cole Hartman was an undercover operative for the government eleven years ago. Seven years ago, he walked away from the only woman who owned his heart and he's never stopped loving her. Now he takes the jobs he wants, specifically working with a vigilante group uncovering and eliminating human traffickers. When his past tries to hunt him down and kill those around him, the team pulls together to end the threat.

Lydia Pictam is beautiful, talented and deadly, and is determined to do whatever it takes to set her plans in motion. That involves kidnapping and coercing Cole to give her the information she needs by any means necessary.

Their story starts off explosive and raw as Lyda threatens all Cole cares about unless he goes with her to be tortured for information. Only Lydia's form of torture isn't what he expected. She's the first woman who's ever made him feel in seven years and she becomes his new obsession.

No compromises and no holds barred in this spy versus spy and mad attraction and obsession, turned love story. Lydia is perfect for Cole, I loved seeing him get his happily ever after.

Favorite quotes:
"Because I don't do casual sex. I'm a a partner for life. A dedicated, faithful, protective, possessive, jealous, obsessive partner. Welcome to my world."

"Did you just order me to love you?"
"Yes"
"I'll think about it."
"Take your time, I'll wait."

I will break my review down by each book in this bind up.

✨✨✨Review for Unshackle✨✨✨

Unshackle is book 7 in the series and follows Luke, as he infiltrates a cartel compound to find and retrieve the sister of a previous heroine. The sister he is looking for is Vera. He meets her and is disappointed to see that she appears to be entrenched in the cartel’s sex trafficking operation and is helping them. However, a feisty cartel prisoner at the compound (whom he names “Gina” since she refuses to give him her name) sparks his interest. Will he jeopardize his mission to save Gina?

This one was my favorite in this bind up. I loved Luke and “Gina.” They really did not trust each other at first (for good reason!), and I loved watching them slowly learn to trust one another.

I also loved the ending. It was exactly the way this story needed to end. The second half of this story went really fast because there was so much going on!

Spiciness: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

✨✨✨Review for Dominate✨✨✨

Dominate is book 8 in the series and follows Tomas (Tommy) and Rylee. Rylee has information about Tomas and the group of Freedom Fighters he works with, and Tommy believes she may be a threat to their safety.

I’m going to be honest, for most of the first 50% of this book, I wanted to DNF. I absolutely HATED Tommy. He took things WAY too far and his reasons for treating Rylee the way he did were paper thin. I understood why he was angry and didn’t trust her at first, but he definitely did not handle for things well. At all.

Once he realized his mistake, he did change his tune completely and worked hard to earn Rylee’s trust. He was genuinely sorry and did everything he could to make it up to her. By the end, I wasn’t rooting for him to die in a fiery car crash, but that’s the most I can say. 😂

Rylee was pretty cool, though. She didn’t take Tommy’s shit and made him work for forgiveness. The last 30% or so saved this book and made it worth it, but the first half was just so not enjoyable.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spiciness: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

✨✨✨Review for Complicate✨✨✨

Complicate is book 9 and the end of the series. Our hero is Cole, who we met several books ago. He has been helping the Freedom Fighters. He has been a bit of an enigma, but we know he had a fiancé who ended up married to his best friend. He has never gotten over this.

In Complicate, we meet Lydia. Lydia is hired to track down a hard drive with important information on it. Cole knows the hard drive’s location. They start out as enemies, but eventually realize they must work together.

Where this went off the rails for me was the “twist” about 60% or 70% of the way through this story. We find out what one of the main characters has been keeping from the other and... I could not possibly have rolled my eyes harder. My reaction was “AYFKM?” I understand what the author was trying to do, but can we not? Please? The twist made no real logical sense (Rylee didn’t even seem to know what “evidence” was on the hard drive and things just weren’t explained very well, imo) and basically ruined what was otherwise a steamy, enjoyable book.

I don’t know. I could see how this could work for some people, but I was REALLY excited about finally getting Cole’s story and the end of the series, so maybe my expectations were just too high? 🤷🏻‍♀️
