She's a woman made from thorns and chaos and it'll take all I have to prove to her that I'm not going anywhere ever again. When I made her my ol' lady, it was for life. It's time I remind her.

Rae is a daydreamer, nurse, bookworm, nature enthusiast, wife, momma, animal activist and an optimist. She has lived her entire life in NYC and loves to travel with her family. She believes that sweets should have a larger piece of the nutritional pyramid and that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the best TV shows ever invented. When she is not working as a nurse in her community, she can either be found reading, writing, or taking a walk while listening to music. She has been writing books in her mind for as long as she can remember but decided that maybe there were others out in the world that would find joy in the words she would put down on the page.

This is the 4th book in this MC read and it can be read as a standalone. Pirate can’t stand to see his ex with another. He plans on getting her back can she get past his love for his club and his brothers? Will they find a way to break down each other’s walls and be together? Fast-paced read with intense chemistry, drama and emotion. Great characters, action packed and an entertaining read. I liked it.

Pirate: A Wings of Diablo MC :New Orleans Chapter Book 4 by Rae B. Lake

Where should I begin with this raw, heartfelt story by Rae B. Lake who has taken us on a emotional, passionate, violent ride or die journey with Pirate and Delia. Their relationship was a toxic one, Delia hated the club as she felt that Pirate put his brothers before her. The love they had for each other was not enough as Delia's anger and volatile manner became too much even the wild steamy sex between them could not save their marriage.

Now years later, Pirate is this badass member of the WODMC but has never stopped loving Delia, no one could take his place in his heart or his bed. When he happens to see her with a young man on the street, Pirate's emotions take over as he approaches her. Once again they begin to fight but when he sees that she was beaten, he assumes the man next to her did it. Now these two will go at it until Delia stops the fight and tells Noah to give her a chance to talk to Pirate. Love the interaction between Pirate and Noah as Pirate learns that he has been looking after her as her friendship means everything to him. All Pirate wants to know is who hurt her, but once again Delia with her sassy sexual undertones tells him to leave her alone. When he learns about her drugged addiction, her arrest as well as her therapy sessions for her anger and the pain and horror she is dealing with as she was raped, he is consumed with anger. Pirate blames himself as he should have been the one to protect her, now he wants to find the man who hurt her. Delia informs him that she doesn't want the club involved. Now these two will become involved once again as Pirate visits her daily to break down her barriers as they both confess that they still love each other, but Pirate with advice from Archer will tame this firecracker as they once again have a relationship that is hard, fast and sensual as the love between them is all consuming full of fire and passion. As they spend more time at the club, Delia by accident sees surveillance pictures for club eyes only of Rene and Bull as the learn the Purged is active once more. Once Delia sees the one with Bull, Pirate and his brothers learn he is the one that raped her. So many twists and turns in this story as Rene and Bull are after the club for reparation for what happened to Rene, they will soon learn that Delia was the target all along. Now we have a life or death rescue as Delia has been taken, Noah hurt and the rest of the women of the club along with Clay are in the hands of Rene and Bull. With the help from Noah, Pirate and his brothers are racing against time to save their women. Will Pirate get his second chance with the women he never stopped loving? Now Rae has left us with one hell of a cliffhanger surrounding Clay who the club is mourning, Noah becoming a prospect and Rene and Bull escaping once again to reek havoc on the Wings of Diablo MC. Once again Rae with her brilliant storyline and characters, brought these badass bikers of he WODMC and the women they love to life. Can't wait for the next book in this outstanding series to find out how all of this drama will end and if Rene and Bull's reign of terror will finally come to a violent end they so deserved.

Pirate and Delia's story is the 4th book in the New Orleans Chapter of Wings of Diablo. Pirate and Delia were in a relationship before and it was toxic with Delia feeling like Pirate put his brothers before her so she hated the club. Their love wasn't enough to overcome the anger that became too much for Delia to handle she became so volatile that no sex could save them. Years later Pirate is a member of WODMC and he's never stopped loving Delia when he happens to see her on the street with a young guy. Pirate's emotions get the better of him as he approaches Delia they begin to fight then he sees that she's been beaten and assumes that the young guy did it. They fight until Delia stops them telling Noah to let her speak with Pirate. Pirate learns that Noah has been looking after Delia as a friend all Pirate wants to know is who hurt her but Delia in that sassy, sexy tone of hers tells him to leave her alone. When Pirate learns about the horrors that have befallen Delia since they've been apart the rape,drug addiction, her arrest and the therapy for her anger and pain he's consumed with rage. He blames himself that he should have been there to protect her so now he wants to find the guy who hurt her but Delia tells him not to involve the club. They're starting to be a couple again with Pirate visiting her everyday to break down her walls and they confess to still loving each other. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this emotional heartfelt story to see what happens with them. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

I was unsure what we would get in Pirate - A Wings of Diablo MC novel (Wings of Diablo- New Orleans Chapter Book 4). After all of the WOD books, I wondered how Rae B. Lake would top the previous ones (Jameson, Yang, and Bones) or meet the bar they set. Well, she definitely met the bar. The last chapter was intense and had a horrifically surprising and gritty cliffhanger ending. Please keep these books coming.

Pirate is a fast-paced book with characters we know from the previous books. This one focuses on Pirate, aka Jimmy, and Delia. Both are individuals who are prone to letting their anger take over. Their relationship was always next-level crazy, but so was their love. Their struggles to get to a love they can survive are wrought with violence and lots of physical, emotional, and mental agony. Despite the struggles and obstacles, you want them to make it. We also meet Delia's BFF, Noah (aka Joker). He is a hoot, and it will be fun to see his characters evolve in future WOD books. Clay was another standout who we will hopefully see a happy ever after or at least peace for Clay in a future book.

With high octane drama, action, suspense, twists, steaminess, romance, intense acts of bravery and loyalty, some humor, and old enemies returning with vengeance in mind, Pirate is a book you will not want to put down.

The life the men in these stories live is no cakewalk, and they live and love hard, and their world is not for the faint of heart. Note that there are elements of rape, torture, physical violence, and more that some may find triggering.

Just when you think this series can’t get any better, Rae B Lake goes and proves me wrong! This is the story of Pirate and Delia. Pirate and Delia were married at one point in their lives, but their relationship was TOXIC! Pirate had a few anger issues while Delia was a little pyscho! Delia got off on fighting Pirate on EVERYTHING! Finally, Pirate decided that he only wanted her to be happy, so he gave her a divorce. 5 years pass and Pirate is still not over his ex and no other woman has been able to take her place. Meanwhile Delia went through some stuff and ended up going to rehab, therapy and anger management classes. When they run into each other again, things are a little different, however, Delia still feels like egging Pirate on.

People from the Wings of Diablos past come back and stir up some trouble. Pirate and Delia are trying to work things out, but a misunderstanding causes a fight and things just go downhill from there. Pirate will do anything to get her back. There is so much suspense, violence, drama, trauma, passion, anger and a roller coaster of emotions. I loved the epilogue that was included and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series! Once again, another great book!

Here is another book for the WOD New Orleans Chapter and we get Pirate. So we get a glimpse of him and his wife. For one I hate her off the bat and was upset that he dealt with it because when they become intimate it is explosive. So that is a strike against her. He loves her for it. However, they split and he keeps tabs on her but not often until he comes across her one day with another guy. My thing is if he still loved her he would have kept better tabs on her and not been with any other woman. Now here is the thing about this mc, they are a little bit more on the rougher emotional side. As he is reconnects with Delia he learns a few more things about her. How she is getting help and other things. He is also asked for advise on being a DOM which is surprising but now he recognizes Delia's bratty attitude for what it is. I mean lets not discount the drama still. Bull and Renee are back in this book and some how Delia is caught up in the mess. New friendships are made and people are lost. Do the bad guys win? Well I can say that they are not done by a long shot. A lot more could happen. Anyways, will Pirate finally get a happily ever after? Check out how it all goes down.

The one thing I can guarantee with this Author is the gore she doesn't shy away from having the MC guys go ballistic with the torture to get what they want and this book isn't any different..though that ending had me dying for the next one damn how does Bull manage to be such a prick.
Pirate can't get over Delia so when he sees her again battered and bruised his protective side comes out only Delia doesn't want his help yet no one could have imagined just how connected everything is and just how much Delia will come to need Pirate and his brothers and no matter how much she wishes to argue she is just going to have to believe that Pirate will keep her safe. Noah is a fun witty character I just hope he has the guts to put his body where his mouth is cos MC life isn't going to keep him a pretty boy forever. I Look forward to reading the next book because things are only just heating up and their is guaranteed to be some interesting story lines for both Noah and Shayne cos that ending was torture.

Another fantastic story from the grandiose WOD Series. Each story has its own story with different characters. This time the story is about Pirate and Delia once they were a couple but because of Pirate's behavior they weren't anymore.

Because of all the arguing and because Delia had felt that the club and his club brothers were going for her, is the reason for the split. But when Pirate sees someone else walking with his wife, his beast comes out and finds out he didn't protect her when that was and is his job. and that she seeks help from someone else instead of him, he knows that he must do everything in his power to protect her and get her back.

Great story and the characters and the characters are presented incomparably and connect to each other. This book and series is well worth reading.

Pirate (Jimmy) is a retired service member and joins the WOD after he gets out. Delia is his wife and is not on board with him joining the MC. In addition, she has anger management issues and when she gets set-off the entire relationship is explosive. The immaturity in the two characters early on really comes through. They finally realize that they are toxic for one another and go their separate ways. Life brings Delia back into Pirates orbit and he realizes that he still loves his ex-wife and will do anything to help and protect her. His maturity comes shining through and its obvious that she is trying to get her life in order. Things happen, they reignite their relationship and then things get crazy. A ton of steam and action keep the plot moving but it does end in a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next in series.

emotional distress - great series
Pirate, ex services joins the Wings of Diablo MC, which results in the end of his toxic relationship with his wife Delia, who is angry at always coming second in his life. The sexual side of their marriage is rough on both sides and Delia's anger is the catalyst for this. Several years later he sees her with another man and reaches the wrong conclusion - Noah is her friend and protector, not abuser. He is helping her overcome her anger issues and she is in therapy, but part of her has been taken by a rape attack and her attitude and behaviours are at times related to this, which results in her putting herself in danger and Pirate again blames himself. There is drama, emotions, issues, danger and anger - it there room for a second chance for this couple.

The Wings of Diablo are at it again and kicking butt along the way. Their old enemies, who they thought they took care of are back and out for blood.
Pirate and Delia are toxic together but like pieces of dust flowing in the wind. They love each other but hate that they can’t seem to curb the anger between them.
They get back together after five years apart, and things are different this time, because they are dealing with the anger issues and feelings that never went away. When Delia is taken and abused, then the other old ladies are taken, the world is about to explode and burn to the ground.
Not only will the Wings do anything to get their old ladies back ,but Pirate is gonna move heaven and hell for Delia. Hold on its going Tom be a bumpy ride to hell and back.

I’m a little confused. I felt as though I’d missed a book…I hadn’t, i checked.
References to Tink and Shyne and their return and her rescue but no details! I felt like I’d completely missed something and thought there might be more explanation as the book continued but no, only another reference to her being rescued.
It took a while for Pirate’s and Delia’s story to get going but once it picked up i enjoyed it. A slightly different type of intense romance but also a long lasting love.
I loved Noah he made me laugh so many times. I wasn’t pleased with Archer’s treatment of him.
These women go through some incredible traumas and just seem to brush it off.
It is gruesome in parts but the author does put a trigger warnings at the beginning of her books.

Their love is toxic, but it’s for real. Pirate and Delia were married before the club. Delia has anger issues that alway result in wild and crazy behavior. But the two of them like the burn. Pirate realizes that he needs to get out of the relationship, but Delia is in his mind, body and soul. No one will ever compare to her.

Pirate runs into Delia on the street with another man and a black eye and Pirate knows he needs her in his life. By going back to her what has Pirate brought back into his life? Will anything ever be the same again?

Pirate and his ex wife had such a volatile relationship, it was why they divorced, Delia has such anger issues. That does not mean he does not still love her, she was it for him. He sees her walking down the street with another man and loses it, goes and punches the guy in the face. Only to find out they are just friends and she is going to anger management counseling,

There is still the threat from outside forces, when Delia is abducted will the Wings of Diablo MC find her in time? There may be subjects in this book some may find triggering.

This was book #4 in the Wings of Diablo series and the story was good. It started off rough with Delia, I didn’t like her at all and how she treated Pirate but I was proud of her as the story went on. She went through a rough time after they got divorced because he was her everything but they were just too toxic together. Pirate is still madly in love with her and has only ever thought of her so when he gets another chance he doesn’t want to mess it up. Delia end up getting kidnapped and pirate goes crazy!! Such a as good story, loved the suspense and Noah!!

An intense MC romance read. This newest addition to the Wings of Diablo - New Orleans Chapter series gives us Pirate and Deliah’s story. It was fast pace, intense, action pack with a crazy love story. Their love was beyond what they could handle when he decides to join the MC and she was not happy. But fate meant to have them together and what happens next was a high impact, danger galore romance story that didn’t disappoint. I love how their story played out from their crazy start to a deserving forever. I can’t wait for mir3 of this exciting series.

I really enjoyed all the Wings of Diablo MC books. The men of the New Orleans Chapter are interesting, well written, alphas who love their women. My problem is Delia. She is a manipulative, demanding, somewhat abusive nutcase. The way she treats people that she cares about is awful. I get she has anger issues, but come on. Pirate seems just way too kind to her and deserves better. She really got on my last nerve. The only really good thing, is this entire series is available to read for FREE with your Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Here is a story of two people who love each other but are just not good for each other at this time in their lives. But sometimes love comes around a second time. Can Pirate and Delia learn to put aside the mistakes of the past to make this second chance work? A gritty, fast paced story that is easily read as stand alone. Mature Readers Suggested.

Pirate and Delia are so explosive together and it doesn't seem like they are going to make it. But there are always second chances. Pirate is hoping for a second chance. Delia might give him one but will it be enough or will things happen that are out of their hands? This series is out of this world good and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens. I have loved this series from the very beginning. Pirate and Delia had good and bad times, but he anger issues and his new life style let to their divorce. Over time neither lost the connection or love they have for one another. They reunite and find that they both have changed and stand a better chance at making their relationship work. Thanks to a little help from Archer Pirate takes on a dom role to help with Delia disrespect and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next especially after that epilogue.

This is a truly second chance romance. Delia had some serious emotional issues going on. I felt terrible for Pirate/Jimmy in the beginning. I love seeing her try to get better the best way she can and acknowledging where she was wrong. I loved Pirate telling her papers being signed didn’t stop him from loving her all this time. And him asking Archer for help and advice dealing with her was excellent. I definitely loved Noah. My heart broke with the Clay situation at the end.

He runs into her again later with someone else and gets very possessive as she is still his. She is in danger and he is determined to be the one to help her. What will happen? Are they ready to be together again? Will they reconcile? Great MC romance.

I am really liking this series. Pirate and Delia are…. Wow! When they were married before, their relationship was toxic, there is no other word for it. Pirate never stopped loving her and when he sees her again, he’s going to stop at nothing to have her back. This is action packed with suspense, twists, angst, hurt, and love. This is filled with emotions and the ending was Oh my…😳 I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of this series. Make sure you have the tissues nearby and something soft in case you want to scream, yell or throw things.

Delia has gone through anger management, but she still has a few issues. When their past comes back and causes trouble, will they be able to handle the fallout and will this second chance lead them to a happily ever after? As usual Rae has written a story that is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat glued to the pages.

Wow where to begin. I absolutely adore this series to begin with but this book just made me adore it even more. Pirate and Delia’s relationship ended awhile ago and they both should have moved on but they can’t. They end up finding there way back to each other but then they have to deal with the bad that comes with his life. Can they find their love again. This author knows how to dark and twisted and this proves it, absolutely perfect

A gripping story of two people who’s love wasn’t enough but a second chance and lots of personal growth make Pirate and Delia’s special. WOD MC has enemies, as does any MC, but when they realize they’re fighting a ghost from the past all things are off the table. Keeping the women safe is priority and that’s proven to be harder than they anticipated just adding to the pressure Pirate and Delia are under.

Book # 4 in the series started out with drama! Pirate and Delia have an explosive relationship. This addition to the series has drama, suspense, action and plenty of chemistry between the characters. I’m enjoying this series. Each book is well written and the characters are interesting and well developed. Not quite exciting as the other stories till after the midway point. I never cared for Delia in previous books and my opinion hasn't changed that much. Pirate came in with a different perspective though. Noah was funny and I saw the writing on the wall for him, but there were some surprising developments as well. Worth the read for WOD fans!

Pirate was a relly good book. It was raw and intense , Rae B. Lake takes us on a emotional, passionate, violent journey with Pirate and Delia. Their relationship has been TOXIC and they divorced, 5 years later both of them have worked on themsleves and are possibly ready to try again. Noah will be an interesting character.
The last chapter was intense and had a horrifically surprising and gritty cliffhanger ending. Please keep these books coming.
