“It was as if the ocean was claiming me as its own, telling me I belonged to it.”
I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this book. The characters are so well done, and by the end, I had fallen in love with them all. I connected to Georgette so completely, and I love every ounce of feminism oozing from the entire novel.
I now would like to go off and be a pirate, though I’m afraid I would hardly be as skilled with a sword as Georgette or many other characters for that matter. The romance in this book is so rich. The woven tale of the Lady of Day and the Lord of Night had me wishing for a rakish pirate of my own. It takes such skill to build relationships in the way Wildrose has done so successfully. They are so convincing and pure, I found myself thinking of the characters long after I put the story down.
"Don't you want a little adventure? Just a little?"
I then hit a series of twists and turns that left me both heartbroken and begging for more. I am anxiously awaiting the sequel.
If you’re looking for a book filled with friendship, incredible family bonds, adventure, and a series of unpredictable twists, this one is it. Monroe Wildrose has really outdone herself, and deserves every ounce of praise. This will forever be one of my favorites.
"To you, it's a kiss stolen from a pirate, and to me, it's the dawn."
