All Faith knew how to do was lie. It’s what got her through the struggles of her day-to-day life, and when she was at the bottom and about to be homeless, Rylan stepped in.
Rylan took one look at the young woman and couldn't help but save her. He could tell she was at the end of her rope and knew if he didn’t intervene, she’d be gone. The fact that she was almost emaciated and her eyes held desperation she tried to hide took away any qualms he had about wanting her in his life.
But time had run out, and if he didn’t save her, she would be destroyed, and then he might never get her back.
Daddy’s Little Liar is the 12th book in the Daddy series penned by Lila Fox. It chronicles the DD/lg romantic journey of Faith and Rylan. Faith’s life is one of loneliness and misunderstanding. She is an innocent, penniless, and homeless young lady living in an imaginary world as a mechanism to find solace. Whenever faces with challenging situations Faith’s coping mechanism is to lie when challenged. Rylan is a rich, handsome, and successful business man who owns and runs Simmons Corporation. Destiny brings these two together when he and his friends stop in for lunch at the diner where Lacey works. When they meet there is an instant attraction. She awakens a protective streak in him. Soon, she is working in the mailroom of his company. Need a safe place to live, Faith becomes a squatter in an abandoned storeroom. Faith’s innocence and vulnerability draws the unwanted attention of two male co-workers, Stuart and Tony. They stalk with the intent to rape her. Can she escape them? Will Rylan discover what’s happening and save her? Will she acknowledge her feelings for Rylan? Will he? Can they find happiness? You must read this book to find out. Yet again, Ms. Fox masterfully weaves together a dual-prong plot line. The first being the character-driven romance and the second the suspense that follows the vulnerable female lead character. I like the chemistry between the lead characters. Likewise, the support from the secondary characters helps to portray a familial bond making for a supportive safety net. Ms. Fox expertly uses dialog, POV, and descriptive language to move her plot along. Well done, Ms. Fox.
Loved it until chapter 19. She finally found someone to take care of her and he wanted her completely. It was never explained why/how/if he lied to her about going to a party at his mothers and leaving her behind and telling her he went to a meeting . so I would guess he did lie some how. Next when he let her go back to the house , and he made a plan with Duncan to punish her, that was B.S . he never asked if she was ok with that just asked her to trust him . he took advantage of her wanting to make him happy and her trust ..that was him doing what he wanted to do , they were not even in a DD/lg relationship at that point , they were trying one out . and then when they moved , Duncan trying to embarrass her in front of her friend is BS. I wonder how all the littles would feel knowing that some of their daddies did that to other little ?
Faith lost everyone in her life never lived a good childhood cuz of poverty then left her homeland to go with her boyfriend who betrayed her and became homeless and went living with her friend Molly whose boyfriend Steve want to have a hit on her but Ryan stepped in and saved her was good but hoped to see Molly's action as a result of Steve's arrest
The hot factor was kinda low for me. I’m not really into friendship sharing thing, MFM. If you’re in love, you shouldn’t share your partner with another person.
I have enjoyed this entire series and can't wait to read the rest. I thought the last few was unfair but to each thier own. I look forward to Duncan's story.
