Okay so I'm very confused how I really feel about this book. I actually didn't like Leon a lot, I wanted guilt and self hatred or just anything for what he did to Olivia you know, and I hated how just after all this we didn't get to read any scenes about Olivia and him talking about his "Trust issues" which made him think that Olivia betrayed him and instead straight away led to marriage. I hated how this sensitive topic of rape was used so lazily and not at all seriously in this book, with all the characters, they acted like it was bad that it happened to one person and not so bad that it happened to another. The plot was good, but I didn't enjoy the romance parts of this book. So yeah...if you want to read something a bit thrilling then go for this but not for love because it doesn't have that connection for it

This is a hot enemies to lovers mafia romance. Olivia Hudson wants Leon Krilov to pay for what he did to her friend, Denise Miller, and she wants that in the worse way. According to her friend, Leon raped her and eventually she couldn't live with herself after so she committed suicide. In order to make him pay at least a small price for what he did the Miller family filed a wrongful death suit against him and that fell by the wayside. No justice again! Olivia then concocted a plan; she paid someone to seduce Leon, have rough sex with him and video tape it. After some editing Olivia turns the video into the police and she finally thinks justice will be served. Two weeks later Leon is released from jail and he hunts down the woman Olivia paid to do this to him. He eventually finds the mastermind behind the plan, Olivia and kidnaps her. He takes her to his house and puts her in the basement along with an Irish mob enforcer that he nabbed trying to break into his house to steal his niece, Anna, who he has custody of since his twin brother's death. He ends up killing the Irish enforcer in front of Olivia and he explains to her that you protect family at all costs. He then asks her why she set him up and she explains that he raped her friend and she committed suicide from that. He insists that he's innocent and that he will prove it to her if she'd give him a chance. She ends up staying with him and becoming very close to his niece, Anna. She sees how well he treats his niece and women in general; she starts softening her feelings towards him. This is where I leave you, so you'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say it evolves more rape allegations, more glimpses into the man she thought she despised, family secrets and a whole lot more. As the mysteries unfold you can't help but root for the budding feelings between Olivia and Leon. This book has strong characters, steamy scenes, a great storyline and a mystery all rolled into one which is why I highly recommend it for your next romance read. It hits out of the park for an awesome mafia romance!

I continue to get sucked into the world of Aria Ray! Each book of hers that I read, I am finding myself anxiously waiting on the next book. This is the story of Leon and Olivia. Leon is the Pakhan of the Russian mafia. He is dark, dangerous, hot and ruthless. Olivia is a teacher who is out to prove that Leon raped her friend Denise which caused her to kill herself. Olivia is tough, feisty and definitely out of her element. When Leon finds out who set him up to spend a few weeks in jail, he is out to find out why. One look at Olivia and he starts to lose himself. He is drawn to her, but still tries to put the fear of God in her. Leon swears he doesn’t even know her friend and he tells her that his does not hurt women or children. While he may be a murderer, he does have lines that he will not cross. Because he can’t so no to her, Leon tells her that he will help find out who raped her friend and who is setting him up.
This story has lots of drama, action, passion, violence, revenge, redemption, secrets, betrayals, deception, surprises and a few twists. Great story with great characters. Olivia just wants justice for her friend. Even though he was found guilty, the man is now out of prison on a technicality that causes Olivia to try one last time to get the man back where he belongs, off the streets and behind bars for life. There is just one problem with her efforts… She has not only gained his attention to herself, but she has gotten herself forcibly ensconced in his home as a guest until he can clear his name.

Leon is the boss man of the Krilov mafia. He doesn’t take kindly to women trying to trap him into prison sentences, and he doesn’t like that there is someone claiming that he has done the most despicable act on a woman. He isn’t into that business, especially after what happened to his own mother when he was but a boy. The attraction between Leon and Olivia is a magnet for disaster, and the closer that they come to the truth, the harder it is for Leon to let her go, even in the middle of an all out war.

While I liked the story, it never seemed to come together between Olivia and Leon. Yes, they had a relationship (if you can call it that), but Leon is just to wishy washy about it. One minute he loves her, the next minute he is shoving her away under the pretext that their business has concluded. Never mind that there is an impressionable child who lives in Leon’s home, and can see the conflict between the anti hero and the protagonist. The twists and turns are excellently executed, even if they aren’t really a surprise in the end. It can be a charming book, but I would not consider it a dark romance for any reason other than it deals with criminals and assault.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Leon is the sexy as all get out Pakhan of the Russian mafia, is dark, dangerous, hot, ruthless oh and did I say sexy. Olivia is tough, feisty, sweet, loves kids, a teacher, determine to prove that Leon raped her friend Denise which caused her to commit suicide and definitely out of her element when it comes to trying to make him pay. Leon is angry wants to know who put him in jail for a few weeks and when he finds her of course he drawn to her thus going easy on her (sort of) while putting the fear of God in her. Leon swears to her he doesn’t hurt women or children, he Is a lot of things murder, torturer, but he doesn’t hurt women or children. The chemistry is instant and intent, the magnetic pull can’t be ignored so he offers to help her find out who raped her friend and who is setting him up because they are both the same person. Olivia should trust a man like Leon, but her heart /mind didn’t get the memo. Buckle up this is going to be a wild ride there will be drama, action, betrayal, violence, revenge, redemption, secrets, surprises and a few twists & turns but can they find happiness and peace?

I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would, the first few chapters really were bit slow. But once it picked, the pace was great. Leon and Olivia meet because she believes he raped her best friend and caused her to commit suicide. Olivia and her friends family were determined to take him down for the crime, but he was acquitted and had an iron-clad alibi. They decide together they will solve the puzzle, Leon is either a rapist and a liar, or was set up by someone. Their chemistry was intense, the attraction hard to resist. They are well written interesting characters, there are major twists and turns and a ton of action and steam. Well written book and since it is on KU, with your subscription you can read it for free.

This is a very gripping book. Olivia wants justice for her deceased friend and is willing to go to extreme lengths to get it. Leon the target of Olivia's revenge is not a man to be toyed with he's a dangerous man and has no problem killing someone. Olivia believes that Leon is the reason her friend Denise killed herself,because of the horrors he inflicted on her so all she wants is justice for her friend. The problem is she's made herself a target she's on Leon's radar and he's not very happy about her campaign to put him in prison. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone with spoilers but you definitely need to read this book to see who will come out on top in the battle between Leon and Olivia especially after he kidnaps her. I would definitely recommend this book.

Olivia is out to get the man she believed murdered her best friend Denise, only hes Leon leader of the Bratva, unstoppable as much as he is untouchable. her plan to record his confession was out of desperation, now trapped in his clutches things take a different turn, was Leon really responsible? was he framed if so by who, has Olivia stepped to far into the criminal world to ever get free and justice for her friend? well written filled with action, violence, suspense, twists, secrets, betrayals desire and more!

Great book, well written excellent characters. Olivia was a great character, she was strong and determined. She doesn't let Leon frighten her at all and stands her ground. Olivia needs answers as to what happened to her best friend and believes Leon was responsible. Olivia plays dirty to get what she wants, only it backfires and she ends up in Leon's house and together they get to the truth. It's a great read with a lot of twists. Well written and was hooked from the start. Highly recommend a great book.

This turned out to be a great book. I can't really say that I loved the first 25%, but after that it really seemed to start taking off and I got very into the story. I liked all the suspense and especially the building tension between Leon and Olivia. They had great chemistry, the kind you'd expect and want from a dark romance. It was a very entertaining book with some twists I didn't see coming and I loved the ending.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story was about Leon and Olivia. Olivia is seeking revenge and blamed Leon for something he had to go to court. Leon is a Bratva Boss he is a hard man, he is also looking after his niece since his brother her father was killed and her mother is not capable to cope looking after her. The chemistry between these two was lust, desire, passion, pleasures, and more.

Olivia is a good person who is determined to avenge her friend. She wants to make him confess and to get justice. Olivia never expected to be so drawn to this man. His darkness to her light. Leon realized just how much she means to him. He will do whatever it takes to protect, care for and love her.

An exceptional Bratva Romance read! Leon and Olivia were made for each other and Anna was downright adorable! Even though I had things figured out in the mystery quickly, it was still exciting to watch it all play out! Highly recommend to readers with interest in romance, mafia/bratva, mystery and intrigue.

I highly recommend this book. Leon is released from jail and is out for revenge. Olivia just wanted justice for her friend. She becomes a "GUEST" in his home until he can prove his innocence. He doesn't harm women and he didn't do the despicable thing to her friend. Leon needs though to make up his mind what he wants. This is an exciting story and recommend it.

Olivia is trying to prove Leon raped and essentially killed her best friend. There is quite the mystery going on behind the scenes. Leon kidnaps Olivia and things keep going sideways. The author did a very good job writing this book and I can't wait to read additional books by her.

Such a great read, loved the characters and the storyline, lots of twists, but it was easily worked out quite early but this did not detract, in fact you guessed yourself if there was another twist coming! Loved Anna and Adrian (hope he gets his own book 🤞) but overall a really great read 😁

Excellent

I would recommend this book to anyone. It is so exciting and romantic. Lots of twists and turns in it. The characters are amazing and loving. I loved the little girl. She definitely stands out. And the two main characters are wild and loving. I loved their interactions. Great story.

A good story.

This story starts out slow, but picks up the pace layer. It has action, surprises and steamy scenes. I like Olivia and Leon. They have good chemistry.
