Sigh. I'm hopeful that Mills & Boon will soon discover the next Michelle Reid/Lynne Graham/Sarah Morgan because these new authors fall far below par. Or perhaps the editors are the problem?
The bottom line is that this month's offering is barely readable which is troubling when you consider that five of their best authors are in the lineup.

New author so I’ll try to be gentle. H/h meet when Spanish hero buys heroine’s family winery in upstate New York. I have two main problems with the story:
Both H/h have Deep Wounds ™ from their childhoods. They haven’t been happy for years:
For the hero since he was three and his mother suffered deep depression.
For the heroine when her mother died while she was in high school.
Yes, this is tiresome- and frankly unbelievable - that they had such little resilience to every emotional setback in their lives since.
My second issue is that there was way too much emphasis on business. I’m not interested in marketing plans, etc… Reader, I skimmed.
There are two other brothers who are due for their own stories. I will probably like these better if they fulfill tropes I like. Hopefully, they will be less damaged and ‘woe is me’ than these characters.

New HP author and will definitely read another of her books.
I loved the interaction between these two MC.
The dialogue was well written and sexual tension was palpable.
Everleigh, the heroine confronts the hero, Adrian at a party.
Adrian own's a famous winery and Everleigh just learned he's going to buy her family's country winery's. She believes he's trying to manipulate her father into selling and she's come to the party to confront Adrian and tell him to back off. She is then informed by Adrian that her Father was not forced or manipulated to sell but made the initiation to sell their country winery. Everleigh is heartbroken, she believed her Father was going ask her to take over. Everleigh and Adrian are both aware of the chemistry and sexual attraction. She proceeds to apologize and then tries to see if she could persuade him not to pursue the purchase. But Adrian is not budging.
The two decided to work together to make the transition of the sale to go smoothly with the possibility of Everleigh overseeing the operation. She flies to Grenada, Adrian's home and place of business for the transition of the sale.
I really enjoyed the development of their relationship. She was sweet, but strong. Her care for her father and their employee's was heartfelt and exemplary. I loved Adrian, he had some past issues as well as Everleigh to over come and they seemed to help push each other to heal and get better. I thought the author did an excellent job with their relationship and how it evolved. The secondary characters all really added to the story and I was just as engaged with them as the main characters. I excited to read Alexandro's story next and then Antonio's. I read the preview of Alexandro's story and I'm already hooked. :)))))

New author for Harlequin Presents and I must say I love her! Hero is a very sexy alpha hero, heroine is a sweet and brave virginal woman and their chemistry is sizzling. Hero is your typical alpha Harlequin Presents hero: he is unfeeling, afraid to love because of mother issues but he is also vulnerable. Heroine tempts him and thrills him! Loved how he just couldn’t resist her! And my favorite trope unplanned pregnancy is here too! ❤️

Passionate and heartfelt is how I would describe this book. I really like these two main characters. Their chemistry was well written. I also think part of the reason I enjoyed this book so much is that it had a family aspect to it. The past of these main characters, their families, and the emotions that they were feeling was so incredibly realistic that it was easy to connect to these characters. I even got a little teary-eyed while reading. Overall one of my favorites I think that I've read!

Everleigh Bradford loves her family vineyard and hopes to take over from her dad. Sounds like a plan but her father already made a deal with Adrian Cabrera to add Fox wines to his label. When confronted with Adrian of course she is furious. When she finds out why her father is selling out because of his sickness and near bankruptcy she decides to hear what is in the plans. The one plan she didn't figure on was being attracted to Adrian, however he has lots of anger and refuses to allow himself to open up to love to anyone. Emmy Grayson did a fantastic job on her first Harlequin Presents so I won't destroy your enjoyment of this wonderful book. It's a keeper and an author you will want to follow. loved it from page one, and yes it has a wonderful HEA. An author to follow

Enjoyed reading this book. This is not my typical genre that I usually read. However, once I started I could hardly put it down. With love able sassy characters you couldn’t help but root for to them falling in love. Would recommended. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

Everleigh is furious when she learns that Adrian's company is taking over her father's California winery. What she doesn't know is that her father approached Adrian to save the winery from bankruptcy. She travels to Spain with Adrian to work with his marketing team on the merger. The two try to fight their attraction, but it's no use. Still, Adrian is determined to protect his heart—he has no room for love in his life. Can Everleigh change his mind?
I loved these characters and the romantic Spanish setting. The author's writing style is fresh and it drew me into the story. Both the main characters have wounds from the past, but Everleigh has done a better job at coming to terms with loss. Adrian's continued struggle is the main conflict in the novel. It's an enjoyable story—sultry and sexy and immersive—and I look forward to more from this author.

My first review in my Harlequin Marathon is also my first book from this author. A debut book, by the way. That's the reason why I decided to start the marathon with it. And I'm glad I did it.
On the night of the launch of his new wine, Adrian was intercepted by Everleigh (love the name), who demanded that he back out of his business with her father. Everleigh's father, Richard, has sold the family's wine company to the sexy Spanish billionaire. After an explosive first meeting, Adrián proposes to Everleigh that she go to his house in Granada, a family home, for five weeks so that she can see that the acquisition will have many benefits not only for the business, but also for the employees and the town.
Of course, staying in Granada gets intense given the strong attraction between Adrián and Everleigh. Could the barriers they erected to shield their hearts, especially Adrián, collapse to achieve happiness?
This story has all the ingredients to be a Harlequin classic: the hero is a pure alpha male, with charisma and sex appeal even to give away. The heroine is a sweet and virginal girl, at the same time with a strong personality, determination and she's someone who fights to the end for what she wants. They are contrasting but complement each other perfectly. Similarly, their chemistry is undeniable; their interactions are like an excellent baseball game: fully strategic in their actions. The way both could "hit" the other's strikes during their dialogues is simply spectacular.
Adrián and Everleigh's backgrounds define their personalities. The problems they both have with their parents make them wear an impenetrable armor. However, the two end up falling in love to each other.
The secondary characters are effective in their work. Adrián's mother turns out to be a lady who has suffered a lot and who only seeks to get closer to her son. Everleigh's father, on the other hand, tries to protect his daughter. Apart from them, we see Alejandro, Adrián's brother, who acts as a kind of "accomplice" of the hero. I hope that we'll soon be able to know his story (book 2 of the series will be the story of Alejandro Cabrera).
The plot is exquisite, very well written, with believable scenes and fast and fun reading. I have to confess that it made me smile every time Everleigh and Adrian had their verbal matches. Special mention and extra points for Ms. Grayson for showing a full knowledge of the world of wines. If there is something that I love, it is, while I'm reading, realizing that the author has taken the time to study on the subject that she/he will speak in his story. There is only one small glitch. THERE IS NO EPILOGUE!! Both Adrián and Everleigh deserved a very nice epilogue, and with half a dozen babies...
Needless to say, I recommend this book. Great start to the series and for Ms. Grayson as a Harlequin writer.

First I want to thank Goodreads for the opportunity to win this book in one of the giveaways. Second I want to thank the author, Emmy Grayson, for the autographed book and lovely note that I received from her. To Emmy, yes, I did love it and look for to the second book in the trilogy.
The story starts with a struggling USA small family owned winery who reaches out to a larger growing winery across the seas in Spain to be their hero to save them from bankruptcy. The wine business is a beautiful competitive industry with its highs and lows. This book gives you a sweet taste of what happens. Then there is a strong willed talented daughter who wants to keep the winery going who meets the stunning mysterious oldest son that owns the Spanish thriving winery. Boy meets girl. Drama occurs. Love, loss, grief, anger, joy and LOVE. What more needs to be said. Grab a glass of wine and pick up this book today!!!

When thunderstorms knock out the power, you can sit in the dark and stare at your phone or you can light a candle or two, pour a glass of wine, and curl up with a romance for some swoony escapism. His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation is a good choice for that. I love the setting and the premise. Adrian was a little hard to like at first, but I think part of that was because of the contrast with Everleigh's innocence He did grow on me, and the further into the story I got, the more I wanted this couple to get their HEA. They do have some issues to work through, and it's not hard to see where the angst and where that pivotal moment will come from, but all in all, this one was an entertaining romance that was a good choice to while away a rainy evening.

This was a easy quick read. I’m not familiar with the Harlequin genre out there and tend to find my preferences are more towards the world building type writing so this was very superficial for me, hence why I say good for a quick read on a long drive or flight. It does have a decent story line but Adrian’s pity plight was ambit irksome and naturally a woman has to save him from self destruction. However, I usually try to keep the perspective if I do come back to the book to keep reading it, it’s at least a decent read and I never felt like I needed to put it down and not pick it back up up again. I would consider reading the others.

Received this book in a Goodreads giveaway. This is Emmy Grayson's debut novel and the first in The Infamous Cabrera Brothers trilogy. This is a fast, enjoyable romance.

A very good start
The is the 1st book in the series and it didn’t disappoint, it held my attention from the very beginning. The H is the oldest brother who is buying the h’s family vineyard, she is opposed to the idea. The h goes to Spain so she can learn about the business. Their chemistry is off the charts, great love scenes. They both had childhood issues which made loving someone hard but they were able to find their way to each other. Only complaint, no epilogue.

I ended up spending my Saturday reading this book from start to finish. The chemistry between the main characters was electric and overall it was a very fun read! I (obviously) didn’t want to put it down! I look forward to the author’s next book.

His Billion dollar take over temptation
I loved this first edition of the trilogy, cannot wait to start on the second installment. Adrian has been through so much hurt, I am happy he found happiness with everliegh. I also like that this book did not start with the usual she betrayed him and he is out for revenge. This was refreshing
I loved this first edition of the trilogy, cannot wait to start on the second installment. Adrian has been through so much hurt, I am happy he found happiness with everliegh. I also like that this book did not start with the usual she betrayed him and he is out for revenge. This was refreshing
