Her choice is arranged marriage . . . or death . . .
Kira al-Attiyah's hope for a bright future in the U.S. died along with her father. Now, royal family tradition demands she marry. Refusing? Not an option. Especially since honor killing isn’t just urban legend. She knew what she had to do. She just never expected her intended to be a terrorist . . .

Delta Force operator Ty Newcomb’s mission was clear. He needed to make Kira fall for him, then secure an invite to meet her fiancé. From there, taking down the man who has been on the CIA high-value target list for over a decade would be easy. The hard part would be not developing real feelings for his beautiful target.

With lives—and love—on the line, can Ty find a way to get the bad guy and keep the girl? Or will the price of completing the mission be his happily ever after with Kira?

The author has done it again. I’ve come to the end of another of her books and been left absolutely speechless. I could say this book is fantastic, and it is, but I feel like that would be damning it with faint praise. I don’t even feel like I can give easy examples of what I liked best about the story because I’m concerned I’d be giving away spoilers. Though I can say I’m highly impressed with the balance and conflict portrayed in Kira as she tries to reconcile her duty to her family with everything she’s feeling for Ty. There’s just so much about this book that I loved. I know better than to guess what the author has up her sleeve for us next, so I will (try to) wait patiently until I can get my hands on it.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

A thrilling and invigorating beginning to a newest series, Delta force Echo from the world of Iniquus by Fiona Quinn. The author's books whether it be a Lynx Series, Strike Force, FBI joint task force, or K9 series, it has never failed to make an impact with a mash-up of action, adventure, and romance. This new series is about psyops, a distinctive technique that encompasses manipulating the mind of the opposite, use of body language, and intuitive skills to the advantage of Delta force operatives, and then launching a tactical assault on the adversary. The plot in this edition brings to light not only the beautiful tradition and cultures in the Muslim world but also the challenges faced by women in the world of Sharia law. The protagonist is not an unknown character to the world of Iniquus and along with his K9, they are tasked to track and take down the head of a terrorist group. While the initial part of the book is smooth sail, the latter half is more captivating and the thrill accelerates towards the culmination. This book can be read as a stand-alone tbough the various characters are evolved from the previous series in the world of Iniquus. Extremely recommended page-turner for thriller enthusiasts. Waiting for the next book in the series.

I Absolutely recommend this book and all the other great series by Fiona Quinn! Like Always Fiona Quinn gives us readers a truly sensational and outstanding book in a new series that connects with all of the Iniquus World.
Fiona Quinn takes us into the world of Sharia Law and what a woman might go through who are part of that culture and what the consequences that they might go through if they don’t follow through and marry the man that the “man” of the family says. This book makes you feel for Kira and the decision she will eventually have to make, just like I imagine real women do in that Country.
What happens when a woman like Kira meets a man like Ty and throw in a fabulous K9 like Rory well the attraction between both is instantaneous! Now Kira’s decision is even harder to make because the consequence of not marrying the man her Uncle has chosen will lose her her family and maybe even her life. And what if that man is found out later to be a terrorist? This is the dilemma that Kira will have to work through and make her final decision.
A read that will captivate you and draw you into the Iniquus World and the military men, women and dogs of these series. I definitely recommend all the other books in the Iniquus series. To show you how marvelous these books are I am normally a paranormal romance genre reader but I will stop what I am reading at the time to start any new Fiona Quinn book! These books are not just mind-blowing but incredibly spectacular! I can’t wait to see what Fiona comes up with next!

As I inhaled all available novels of yours, Ms Quinn ...

I admit, I waited it seems eons for this one, and a wait well worth waiting!
Tyler was Stellar, and Kira simply amazing! Two incredibly intelligent individuals from different areas of the intelligence spectrum. Yet together, they become quite an achieving one.
This novel accesses many areas we as US Citizens take for granted, a woman, while a natural US Citizen, stood across two cultures and has to make a decision that affects her negatively regardless of the decision she chooses. A man, United Armed Forces, Army Ranger, and elite in special force group, who takes an oath to his country because he truly believes in the constitution and the rights of the peoples who are US Citizens, and protecting all of those givens US Citizens take for granted.
And one CiA agent, who simply loves playing God... Johnna White, one very interesting secondary character we have met before, who is for the good, or the herself...put all three together, somewhat, and you have quite the intriguing twist.
I certainly was pulled in, even as I, just as Ty, found Johnna White's machinations more than manipulative. Yet, all for the greater good.
This novel makes you question the greater good for the one issue...if one dies but millions survive, all is acceptable?
Quite an amazing read, Ms Quinn!
I expected nothing less, and certainly was given more!
Loved this book!

Loved it!

This is the first book in a new series for Fiona Quinn. I always enjoy reading her books because I know there will be action, suspense, some steam, a hea and I will lots of things I didn’t know. She did not disappoint me with this one either. I learned the science of falling in love and the art of making the right person fall in love with you. Delta operator Ty Newcomb and his K9 Rory are picked to run a psyops mission in order to facilitate the take down of a terrorist. He is coached by a CIA agent on the science of how to get his target to fall for him so he can be where he needs to be. The problem is due to science, he will also fall for her but will be unable to keep her. The target is Princess Shakira “Kira” al-Attiyah from Qatar. She is a US citizen but under the protection of an evil uncle who has “allowed” her to get her Masters Degree but is not anxious to marry her off. Can Ty complete his mission and keep Kira safe? Dive into this great read and find out!

Ty, Kira and Rory.

This was an amazing, thrilling and exhilarating story from start to finish.
I loved every part from being on a mission, to retrieve a helicopter to diving into the weird and crazy world of psyops that is a massive rabbit hole I tell you and it’s mind boggling to think how the CIA do mind-f..ks on people like that. I loved that Ty was hesitant about ‘playing’ Kira, but then once he met her he truly did fall for her at first sight which was cute...
Omg Rory, is adorable, loyal and just darn awesome as a k-9 I love how instantly protective he was of Kira like he fell at first site too.
The romance was interesting with Kira’s background and her family, the obligations her family thought she had to keep and Kira’s drive to want to live her own life.
I loved catching up with Christen and I’m hoping she makes it to the alter safely to meet Gator...lol

This story had many interesting elements and I have to say chapter 23 was my favourite.

Another great story!

Ty is on another mission with his K9 Rory. Lots of suspense as Ty works with an agent to get his mark. Kira was a great character and caught between two cultures. While falling in love with Ty she faced an arranged marriage. Great chemistry and some steam. Loved the story and the references about Storm and other characters from previous books. Loved it!

When Ty is pegged for a new CIA joint mission, his first thought was that he’s tactical not psyops. He is, however, the best one for this assignment – to get the target to fall in love with him, giving him access to the terrorist the mission is tasked with taking down.

His target – Qatari royalty with a dilemma of her own to face. Accept the marriage arranged by her uncle or face certain death by honour killing.

Quinn has once again penned a story that packs a powerful punch of both intrigue and romance. The level of research this author invests in each new addition to her Iniquus World is simply daunting and is what keeps this reader always coming back for the next one. Danger Signs isn’t just about the danger that is encountered every time these men and women are out in the field, but also about the danger that threatens the heart – when the last thing your mission needs is for your heart to get involved.

Par for the course with Quinn’s books, Danger Signs kept me up all night till the threads were all woven together. A page-turning, unputdownable, wild ride you will not want to miss, promise!

Really slow

Talk about a slow burn... the two main characters don’t even meet until around 28-30%, and don’t really get together until around 80%. The entire book is a lesson in psychological operations, body language, intuition, etc. Ty was great, had an awesome personality and a loyal soul. Kira was conflicted, living between two worlds. They were set up to meet and fall in love, so none of that was a surprise. What should have been an anxious plot point (his deception) wasn’t even addressed until 99% and then it was “oh well, guess it’s ok”. I LOVE this author and usually gobble up her stories, but I was disappointed in this one.

I was captive until the end...then....blah

I was held captive by an exciting book and that you had no idea where it was going to go...until the end..SPOILERS... the ending happened with a couple of pages with absolutely no reasoning or how they stayed togethor or what the CIA allowed. They are involved until the end and then nothing...very, VERY anticlamtic and because of the ending not really interested in any of the other books. It's almost like the author got bored or impatient with book and needed it sent to the editor in a hurry. It n Ed like 30 more pages to be wrapped up. Very disappointing.

WOW! I think I have found my new favorite romance author!

I first heard about Danger Signs by Fiona Quinn from an ad on a social media site. I ordered it from Kindle Unlimited before I even finished reading the synopsis! Danger Signs had everything I love in a good romance novel! There is the hunky special ops male, (extra points given that he is Delta Force like my own beloved hero), and is well-trained loveable K-9 partner. The female protagonist is a multi-dimensional character, strong but with just enough internal conflicts to make her seem as real as any woman you might be-friend in every day life. Sprinkle in some life threatening danger, a daring special ops rescue, and I refused to move from my couch until I finished the book! However, once I read the final page, I almost cried knowing I would have to say goodbye to my new book friends. Returning to reality was emotionally stressful!
Fiona Quinn has written a story with a multi-layered plot and characters so well-developed you feel like they are part of your inner circle of friends. She demonstrates excellent research skills in her descriptions of mission prep and logistics of a military operation. The action is seat of your pants , hold your breath, real suspense. Wonderfully crafted to grab your attention from the first word to the last!
I have bookmarked Ms. Quinn's website, added her to my favorite author, must read bookshelf on Goodreads and wishlist all her books on Amazon. This may be the first book I read of hers but it will not be the last. Pick up Danger Signs by Fiona Quinn and prepare to be entertained.

First in a new trilogy set within the world of a private security company and spec ops, I like this particular one a bit less than the Cerberus trilogy by same author that I just finished. Part of that was that the plot revolves around romance primarily, not action and K-9s. Don't get me wrong, love the romance. I was just in the mood for more action and K-9s than this delivered.

Ty and his K-9 Rory, part of the Delta Force, are tapped for a special assignment involving getting into a ranch compound in Tanzania where an elusive terrorist will be meeting with a group of businessmen whose ethics are on the shady/criminal side. How he will get access: that requires seducing Kira. Kira is Qatar-American, connected distantly to the royal family of Qatar, and under the rule of her uncle who has determined it is time for her to marry. Kira is also close friends and assistant to London, the trophy wife of the businessman who owns the ranch compound and organized the meeting.

There is plenty of life/death action, some super steamy explicit sex, and, as is typical with this author, info dumps. This time the info dumps are all about psychological operations (psychops), which of course is how you use psychology to get people to respond in specific ways. These info dumps can become a bit boring, even with the characters echosing some of the debate you may be having internally about the ethics of this. When I started aligning the info dumps with my professional life as a lawyer, I actually became quite engaged.

I do wish however, that the author would have her characters 'press their lips together' rather than 'rolling lips in'.

Danger Signs: Delta Force Echo: an Iniquus Action, Adventure, Romance Bok 1 is by Fiona Quinn. Ty was a K9 handler for Iniquus. His dog Rory was well trained; but Ty knew that his former owner held the greatest portion of Rory’s heart and he would adopt Rory when he was ushered out of the military. Ty just hoped Rory’s retirement was a long time in the future. For now, he was Ty’s.
On this trip, however, Ty was without Rory. Instead. he was accompanying D-Day who was on a mission to place on the Kenya-Uganda border to fly home an abandoned Russian aircraft. Ty was to make sure she got to the plane and back safely.
It was when he got back that the next mission came up. He was to go to the US and meet Kira Attiyah, a member of the Qatari royal family, make her fall in love with him, and get an invitation to accompany her to a friend’s husband’s retreat in Africa so he could scout out a way to kidnap one of the friend’s friends. It didn’t help things when he found out that the person he was to kidnap was to be introduced to Kira as her new husband.
Meanwhile, Kira was dreading the trip since as soon as she finished the last project for London, she was to return to Qatari where she would wed as her uncle told her to. She had no idea she was going to be married off. Although she was Qatari, she had been raised as an American. How was she going to get out of this?

As part of team Echo, Ty Newcombe was anxious for the opportunity to bring down the brains behind one of their own being captured and tortured. Unfortunately, the only way for them to get is by holding hands with the CIA not so good ideas team. Ty specifically and with a scheme Ty’s not completely on board with but he’s unable to refuse the assignment.

Though American, Kira’s of middle eastern descent, related to their royal family and raised with both standards which for Kira means, her future will be chosen for her. Luckily for Kira, she’s had a reprieve by helping a relative plan American based social events including hostessing a meeting has the CIA’s interest in especially a certain guest.

Some characters are known from other reads by this author and there’s plenty of good about this outing but not much can be said without revealing all the goodies. To my taste, this foundation tale is a great start for the series whether its read stand alone or not. That said, to my taste there were a couple of nits to pick in the final chapters but they didn’t ruin the read.

If the opening chapter of Danger Signs doesn't get you heart rate speeded up even a little, I'm not sure what will. By the same token Ty's mental musings about his future children after this adrenaline laced opening were rather humorous.

Ty Newcomb and his K9, Rory, are Delta Force Echo Team operators. No one is more surprised than he is when he's tapped for a psyops mission. He and Rory thrive on action not headgames. However, given the chance to finally take down one of the most wanted terrorists is not a mission he'll turn down. Kira Al-Attiyah, a 28 year old American woman who has familial ties to Qatari royalty is Ty's target. He's tasked with making her fall in love with him. A CIA agent is his handler and coaches him through the subterfuge. Although it doesn't sit well with Ty to manipulate Kira, taking down the terrorist is not something he'll pass up. Falling for Kira is a definite no-no but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Their chemistry is undeniable and let's just say their spicy encounters nearly sizzle off the page. Ultimately, he saves her from a cruel and dangerous fate and accomplishes the take down too.

As soon as white appeared and singled Ty out for this, both that and the plotline, I just knew this was going to be a challenge for fiona to write her way into having this Not end badly. However I didn't have a good feeling. This was similar to another book in this series where a civilian was manipulated.
The psychological information regarding human interaction and responses is staggering and fiona executes it perfectly.
Past characters pop up which I always enjoy and flows nicely into the plotline of the book.
I have to admit, I have no affinity to London and I struggled to accept the H's mission as the story moved forward and,
I was a bit disappointed that the h just accepted the turn of events as normally Ms Quinn doesn't let her characters off lightly but in this novel..... it happens.
The tone is very different to the Lynx series. However , the K9 is lovable and is written as 1 really clever dog.
Troy Duran delivered an awesome narration job as always.

Wow

I absolutely love your books. Started to read this one a few weeks ago. Put my weekend day aside. However, live goes on and my world required me to stop reading. Big sigh. When I got back around to read it I felt lost. Which I have to say NEVER happens with your books. Once lost I started the book over and did not finish it until the end. I honestly have to say, which hurts my heart, that this book is not in my top list of best books by you. On that note everyone has to remember that it competes with the Lynx series which is my NUMBER 1 favorite series. I re-read that series from beginning to end while waiting for another book to come out. I hope that we get to hear more about all the characters in this series and what’s going on now. As always keep writing and I will keep reading. Thank you.

In The World of Iniqqus, created by Fiona Quinn, although each book can be read stand alone, because Iniqqus is such a big private security service, with several different specialist forces and operators cooperating with the FBI and the CIA, as well a the people they become involved with during operations, there is crossover between the characters and references to previous happenings, so starting at the beginning, is a good idea. All the books and suggested orders are on Fiona's website. I love these K9 stories, Cerebus Alpha Tactical force and this, the first in the Delta Force Echo. I have a new appreciation for working dogs and their handlers. It seems to me the level of romance has increased since the first books, but the stories are all great!

Exciting

This was an interesting and exciting book. I liked that she included an epilogue very much. I've read several books in this series. Since they deal with very similar stories - military and terrorist plots with heavy emphasis on psychological traits there are some things repeated. One thing I've noticed though is that although it's a different book and a different character they often sound like the same person. They will use the exact same phrase or expression. When a character is thinking or talking to themselves they wouldn't sound so much like other people with their words.

Another great Fiona Quinn novel. Love the military and psyop story with romance. Kira lives in America, but her mom lives in Qatar when her dad died her mom lives with her uncle under his protection. Kira must decide if she will turn her back on her family and stay in America or go through with an arranged marriage from her uncle. Ty, an operative is tasked with forming a relationship with Kira to get to her family's compound and capture of kill the terrorist, Omar known by other names. Plenty of action, love Rory the K9 and how the love between Kira and Ty developed. Looking forward to reading the rest of the Delta Force Echo books.

Meant to be together

Ty and Kira are brought together by CIA good idea fairies. He's part of the elite Delta Force with his brilliant K9 Rory. She's an American born Qatar royal, trying to keep her academic career in the USA. But Qatari forces, mainly her unsavory Uncle, have other plans for her. Which fits with the CIA plans perfectly. Bringing Ty and Kira together by scientific and intuitive means is quite an endeavor. It brings them into a dangerous international escapade that was not part of anyone's plan. Well executed, the conclusion to this book is unexpected and great.

Manipulation, obligation, ethical choices?

The first book of this series and there is a lot going on, cross over between teams, histories that have inadvertently crossed and the present being manipulated by numerous people...lots of puzzle pieces to fit together.
I am not sure I like Agent White and her tactics, and I really don't like London who appears very self absorbed. However I really liked Kira, Ty and Rory, they may have met under forced circumstances but their souls recognise each other with a much deeper connection.
An enjoyable read on Kindle Unlimited.

Disappointing to say something nice...

Horrible the whole first half of the book. It was about his role duping the person he was supposed to love. And she just accepted it....honestly, it made me ill. It would have been great if she just had removed herself from everyone's manipulation by trying to commit suicide. And that 4 yrs later epilogue really made no sense since all she ever wanted was home and hearth. The title refers to what danger signs? Ms. Quinn writes books way better than this. This book is an epic fail as a romance.

From D-Day to her Dad

Ty and D-Day stuck in a tree, trying to get down before the parachute tears free. So sue me, I'm not a good poet. At the end of that mission, Ty is pulled off by CIA Johnna White, for the most difficult mission of his career. Be has go make a women fall in love with him, get her to invite him on a trip, and keep her safe. Then, walk away. All to save the world from a high value terrorist.
Of course there are snags, and when they get to the site, things go sideways. In multiple ways, like a tree branch. Really excellent read! Can't wait for number two.

Danger Signs
Delta Force Echo, Book 1
Fiona Quinn, author

A new series, yet a continuation of the Iniquus family. There's everything to love about this author's work of art. I simply love coming back to her stories. This one, oh my had flair her books don't usually have and it thrilled me to the bones!!! A romantic scene between the hero and the heroine of the book! Yes! Not to mention a scientific approach to the art of love and matchmaking.

Tyler Newcomb is a K9 officer with the United States Army. Kira, although an American citizen is a Qatarian Princess. Tyler is assigned to protect her with his life, as the CIA suspects she is in harms way. Tyler, first must develop a trusting relationship with Kira and then board the private jet with her to Qatar.

I highly recommend this book. It was simply a joy to read. I was gifted an Advanced reader copy from the author. I chose to leave this review of my own accordance.

Good but rushed

I really liked this book but I feel like it was lacking with details at times. Most of the story was about them meeting when I wish more time was spent in Tanzania. The scenes also skipped a lot. Like one minute they are eating and the next they are having sex... but there wasn't much to those scenes. I'm not one who likes reading sex scenes necessarily but it felt skipped over and rushed. Stl a good read though!
