QUINN: The Final Installment of Gavin Nolan's Biography is an engaging thriller if you like thrills and chills. It's a bone chilling read with plenty of plot twists and surprises and a unique ending that provides for a most satisfying conclusion to this series.

Headless bodies draped over gravestones thrust Gavin into a creepy investigation, connecting the deceased to Quinn, Captain of the Chicago Police Department. What's worse is that the police commissioner's son is among the victims, and he's linked to Quinn and Gavin romantically. But all is not what it appears to be.

There were times Quinn's vile behavior and mistreatment of Gavin past and present made me want the absolute worst for him and then a tiny bit of redemption would creep up and I almost wanted a better outcome for him. Almost.

The depth of the original investigation leads Gavin into a much deeper criminal enterprise that I don't think he even anticipated. The tension increases and the action intensifies. There were moments when I thought the author was going to kill off the entire cast! I appreciated the taut read that kept me turning pages. The author's brilliant writing and slow, nearly agonizing reveals kept my attention as I wanted to discover more about Quinn, the serial killer, and others involved in the crime.

My recommendation is: start with book 1 and then devour this fascinating series. The complex story of QUINN is an exceptional thriller with a well-thought, complicated plot that hits on every suspense beat.

The final instalment in this dark series, Gavin is superb as usual, his tense relationship with his boss Quinn, will keep you guessing till the end. Chasing a serial killer who is chopping heads off people and displaying them in various cemeteries. Gavin and his team try to work out the links with the murders and to the death of his own Father.
This is a very well written story, easy to read and flows brilliantly. Warning for readers, there are very explicit sex scenes and graphic violence.
I am a fan of all Russell's work and Quinn is a massive compliment to the author, he has brought the series to an end with a bang. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed this trilogy. You grow to love and hate the different characters and your emotions get the best of you, even for the characters you hated. Start with Gavin, move on to Derrick and wrap it up with Quinn, you won't be sorry you tried this threesome.
