Book One in the Jettine Jorgensen mystery series starts off with a bang when Naval Intelligence Officer Jettine Jorgensen returns home to her palatial Florida estate to discover the mayor’s dead body under her bed along with his very alive extramarital lover. This is only the beginning of a strange case. Jett’s sleepwalking episodes lead her to believe her parent’s death two years ago in an airplane crash was no accident. She sets out to investigate, while her friend and neighbor Gwen gets her first case as a newly minted police detective. Their two viewpoints intertwine as each character follows her own path. Add in a set of cute canines and a live-in dog nanny with ties to the mafia, a former boyfriend, and other assorted friends for a mixture that promises fun in future episodes. With exquisite setting details and well-drawn action scenes, you’ll be anxious to find the culprit who’s behind a series of mysterious murders.

A fun read, but a bit unbelievable. Lots of planes and cars, lots of rich people with huge houses.
The characters were okay, but the women all seemed overly obsessed with good looking men. I really liked Sophia, the dog nanny.
You need to read this with a sense of humor.
