Loving the Rock Star . . .

Meredith and Zachary had dated 8 years previously. But he has been traveling the world as his band makes their appearances, and he has had time to think about the fact that Meredith is actually the only woman he has ever loved. So he is back in Miami now and wants her in his life.

Meredith knows that the lifestyle he embraces is totally wrong for her. She will be absolutely boring to the effervescent rock star and he would eventually leave her… again. However, she gives him a chance. Oddly enough, although they had three disastrous dates, she somehow fell in love with him all over again!

This story line was good. Their banter together was humorous, and their love was believable. Grab your copy and see if they make it to a HEA this time.

Messing with the Bad Boy is book 2 in the Maid in Miami series by Breezie Bennett. 5 best friends, owners of Maid in Miami and looking for love!

Up next is Meredith and Zachary who were actually a couple while in college before she met her 4 best friends. Now 8 years later Zachary moves to Miami and wants to hire the Maid in Miami company to take care of his new home and wants Meredith as the contact. Now she has to tell her friends what happened all those years ago.

Can Zach show Mer that he is all in and has realized what he lost all those years ago?? Read on to see what happens…

This was a good read. Zachary and Meredith used to date but he left to be a star. After all these years he realizes she is the one he wants. They go on a few dates and they all end disastrously. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Good Girl, Bad Boy, Great Read!

Breezie Bennett continues her Maid in Miami series with Messing With The Bad Boy, the story of Meredith "Virgin Mer" Fleming, the straight arrow of the five high-end Maids. Eight years earlier, Meredith took a brief walk on the wild side with aspiring musician Zachary Thorne but stayed at college in Nashville when he accepted an offer to tour internationally, and refused his invitation to go with him. She's missed him ever since, especially when social media posts non-stop photos of him with supermodels and Hollywood starlets. She never belonged in his world. So why would he move to Miami and request Meredith's firm--and Meredith in particular--to clean his newly built mansion (that matches Meredith's taste exactly)?
Zachary did get swept up in the rock star lifestyle, but he got a wake-up call. a year ago and wants Meredith to know he's a changed man. He tells her about the wake-up call, a pregnancy and paternity scare from a Las Vegas fling that showed him the potential consequences of casual relationships. It made him realize that he didn't want casual hookups; he wanted--and still wants--a lifelong relationship with a good woman like Meredith. In fact, he wants Meredith herself, and he takes her grudging agreement to three dates as encouragement. His British agent Brett, who claims to love money more than people but actually cares about Zach, thinks he's crazy--but his client knows that he's finally sane. Now he has to convince Meredith, who thinks he's still the partying "bad boy" whose world doesn't have room for plain old, rule-following her.
Despite disasters on all three dates (paparazzi, overeager fans, seasickness!) they ease into a friendship and Meredith protests to her friends at the Maid in Miami office that it's purely professional, mutual attraction notwithstanding. To herself, she admits that she never gave up her virginity because she was waiting for Zachary to return to her. He didn't pressure her during their earlier relationship because he could tell she wasn't ready, but she indicates that she is now. The bedroom door remains closed, as it does in "sweet" rom-coms like this, but it's clear what they do behind that closed door...
Rom-com rules dictate that a new development must threaten to tear the happy couple apart, and in this one it's the baby mama, who claims that the negative prenatal test result was false and demands his DNA to retest now that the baby is born. The result of the new test shows a perfect match, and the woman demands monthly child support payments. But Zachary remembers growing up without a father, and he wants to be involved in his son's life. She loves in Los Angeles, so to support his child he'll need to give up his happy life in Miami with Meredith. When he lays out his dilemma, generous Meredith tells him to do what he.must and hides her disappointment. The Maids aren't fooled, though, and they convince her to follow him to L.A. instead of giving up like she did as an 18- year-old.
Meanwhile, Zachary receives a phone call from his lawyer revealing fraud in the positive test. He's not the baby's father and his no need to go to California! A very funny airport scene ensues, involving Meredith, her driver Bianca (who follows no rules--especially traffic laws), TSA agents, and Zachary moving backward through security to reach her. She says she'll move to L.A., he says he doesn't need to move, and the TSA agents advise him to keep moving. Needless to say, the flight to L.A. leaves without either of them, and three months later there's a ring on her finger!
I loved getting to know the characters better, both the Maids and the star musician with his entourage. Brett the Brit provided comic relief, and Tom the lawyer was smart to employ a private investigator when he didn't trust the perfect match after a firm negative from the prenatal test. Zachary surrounded himself with capable people who made him savvy, but he depends on Meredith and her goodness to make him better! The character development and plot devices, while not unique, held my interest and upset me when I had to go without reading it for two days on "vacation". I highly recommend Messing With The Bad Boy to fans of the series, the author, and woman-owned small businesses!

Breezie Bennett has done it again and continues to give her readers incredible romantic comedies! I loved Messing with the Bad Boy, the second book in her Maid in Miami series. Breezie Bennett definitely did not disappoint with Messing with the Bad Boy and has once again delivered an incredible story filled with everything that I have come to love and expect in a Breezie Bennett romantic comedy, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I loved reading every moment on every page and could not put it down. Breezie Bennett has once again provided her readers with the amazing characters, that I have come to love and expect in her books, they feel like family! I love the lighter moments in Messing with the Bad Boy, where I found myself smiling and laughing. Breezie Bennett continues to prove with Messing with the Bad Boy that she is a master storyteller. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, and loving friends who always support one another, they are all such wonderful characters? I love how Breezie Bennett somehow, she manages to find the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy man. Once more her characters in Messing with the Bad Boy are so believable and charming, they share great chemistry, and lots of laughs. I love that Breezie Bennett writes in the first person from the perspective of the two main characters. I enjoy getting to see things from the viewpoints of the main characters. Messing With the Bad Boy is the story of Zachary Thorne, rock star, and Meredith Fleming, co-owner (with her best friends) of Maid in Miami, a high-end cleaning company. Who does not love a second chance love story? Zachary and Meredith meet when Meredith is an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University and Zachary is a musician at Loser’s a local bar. Zachary has an opportunity to go on tour and takes it, leaving Meredith behind. They reunite when Zachary builds a new home in Miami and contacts Maid in Miami for a housecleaning consultation and insists that Meredith be his contact. Meredith has never told her friends about her past relationship with Zachary. Zachary realizes his mistake, and live events have caused him to want to pursue a relationship with Meredith, but she is not sure she wants a relationship with him. He suggests that Meredith agree to go on three dates with him, and if she does not change her mind, he will return to L.A. and sell his house. As they spend more time with one another on their three dates, Meredith, and Zachary their relationship quickly changes. I love all the mishaps that occur on their dates. They confess their true feelings for one another. I love Zachary and Meredith’s love story, and how the plot twist changes things between them. I love that Meredith decides to stand by Zachary’s side through the plot twist. I love the amazing chemistry between Meredith and Zachary. I love the characters and the friendships in Messing with the Bad Boy, the characters truly feel like best friends. Who doesn’t love friends that always have each other’s backs? Messing With the Bad Boy is filled with all those things that I have come to long and expect from Breezie Bennett, incredible characters, amazing story, light, poignant and bittersweet moments, and surprise plot twists. She did not disappoint in her delivery of those things. I love how she resolved the unexpected plot twist; it was truly a heartwarming moment. I loved the ending, and how it hints as to the identity of the hero in the next story. I cannot wait read the other books in the series. My favorite part of the story was Zachary’s proposal, and I especially love how he proposed in a special location for Meredith. I absolutely loved it! I could not put the book down; I loved every moment. It was an amazing story and I highly recommend it.

Ethan and Emmy’s second chance in Messing with the Bad Boy by Breezie Bennett, book two her series, Maid in Miami, hits the right note. Unlike her earlier sizzling series, this one is a sweet, behind closed doors, romance tale. Zachary Thorne, a famous billionaire rock star, moved to Miami in order to win back his one true love. He will have his work cut out for him attempting to reconnect with Meredith, who he believes is. Meredith never told anyone about the relationship she had with Zachary. He was on his way up in the music world and Meredith was all about staying out of the limelight and in college. Their romance was magical until Zachary went on tour while Meredith, not wanting to leave school, stayed behind, nursing a broken heart. Although they parted ways, he never got over her and she never forgot him. Now he is in Miami trying to win her back. After three disastrous dates, he isn't sure he will be able accomplish his goal. When a woman accuses him of fathering her baby, he fears he will lose Meredith just as they have come together again. Zachary needs to have faith and trust in Meredith giving them a second chance and choosing the right path this time.

Ms. Bennett wrote a fun, flirty, sweet, second chance romance that should definitely not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, clever banter, endearing characters and supportive friends giving Meredith and Zachary a second chance at love and a future together. I highly recommend Messing with the Bad Boy to other readers and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

This is book number 2 of the Maid In Miami series and focuses on Zachary and Meredith. They originally met 8 years prior when Zachary was a struggling artist and Meredith was a freshman. They met one night and had a year long secret relationship where they fell in love with each other. When Zachary's big break came, he asked her to come with him but she couldn't give up on her dreams so he left without a backwards glance and no contact. He got fully immersed in the lifestyle in all aspects and gained quite the unsavory reputation. When his life hit a crossroad, he started to reexamine his life and what was missing. He knew what and who he needed in his life to be happy. He needed the one that got away and he never got over. He decided to move to the city she was in, build her house house, and tried to get her very successful business to clean it. Zachary was determined to win back his girl and convinced her to give him 3 chances with 3 dates to win her over. Over the 3 dates, they both fall hard and fast again. When his past tries to get in the way, I love how their love came out on top. This was such a great story! I loved everything about this story and these characters. You get hooked from the first page and it does not let go. Excellent addition to the series! I can't wait to see what book 3 has to offer us.

Messing with the Bad Boy

****** Spoiler Alert ******
This is the second in a series by Breezie Bennett. And it is the second time I am reading this author’s work.
The reading is light and fun to read. A quick read (but not a novella). The parts that make it the most fun are the characters. The girls, Lilly, Meredith, Cici, Aubrey, and Bianca all attended Florida University to receive their masters in Business and now run a business together for high-end clients called Maid in Miami
They have been trying to bag the superstar zillionaire musician, Zachary Thorne. But instead Zachary Thorne contacts them with the understanding that he will hire them if Meredith is his point person.
Turns out that Meredith and Zachary were together secretly for a year before he had to leave and go to Nashville. 8 years later he returns. Buys a house of the exact style Meredith would want and then asks her on 3 dates. Except for the last, all 3 were total flops but they grew so much closer because of it. He chose to do a private concert with just a few people to sing his special song to Meredith of the night before he had to leave and his feelings about leaving her.
Am I going to tell you if they are finally intimate? Am I going to tell you the results of a prenatal paternity test? Will Meredith still love him if the answer is positive?
What happens after this? It is definitely worth it to Read the Whole story because the ending is unexpected.

10/10

Breezie Bennett does in again with Messing with the Bad Boy the second book in her Maid in Miami series. I absolutely adored Meredith's and Zachary's journey to happily ever after!

When Zachary Thorne moves to Miami, his first step to try to win back Meredith Fleming is to hire her company Maid in Miami and ask she be his contact with the company. The fact that Meredith had never shared with her best friends that she secretly dated Zachary before he made it big made this story even more fun for me. Meredith always follows all the rules and lives by a set plan. Zachary is the bad boy rocker who pretty much flies by the seat of his pants with plans most of the time, and had never met a rule he didn't want to break.

I loved this story so very much. Meredith and Zachary really worked for me as a couple from the moment they saw each other again. I loved Zachary was the one with a goal to achieve, and he knew Meredith well enough to work the right plan to bring her back into his life. I love a good reunion story, and this one was amazing! I laughed out loud with each new crazy date, and loved seeing both fall in love all over again.

I stand by the fact this story always goes back to the 5 best friends, and how much they love and support one another in all aspects of their lives. I love the 5 women are all so strong, and always have each other's back. I have a group of friends from college that are the same, and it only makes this series of books even more special to me. Breezie Bennett gives her readers emotional, sweet, and funny stories in her Maid in Miami books, and I can't wait to see where she takes us next!

I love the Maid in Miami series by Breezie Bennett and in her second book, we meet a sexy and handsome rockstar who moves to Miami to win back his one true love. Not only is Zachary Thorne super famous, but he is also a billionaire who has his work cut out for him when he attempts to reconnect with Meredith. Unbeknownst to her partners, Meredith has a secret past with Zachary dating back to when she was in college. Their whirlwind romance was magical but Meredith was left with a broken heart when Zachary went on tour.

Now that he was living in Miami, Zachary was determined to woo Meredith and show her that they were meant to be together. His first step was to hire her company to oversee the maintenance of his new home. He wanted her to remember the simple times when they first met and how special that time was. Back then, Zachary was a struggling singer and Meredith was a studious college freshman who caught his eye one night at a small Nashville club. What a wonderful and special time they had until the spell was broken and Meredith was alone.

Fast forward to the present and Meredith wasn’t sure she trusted Zachary even though she did love his sexy grin and raspy voice. Why was he back in her life after all these years? Were his motives true and from his heart or had too much time gone by for them to have a second chance? Will three dates with Zachary be enough for Meredith to realize that he was the only man for her?

This book is great! I loved how it started exactly at the place where the previous book ended and we found out more about Meredith’s ‘secret’ college relationship with Zachary and unfortunately how things ended between them. Of course, the ladies are very supportive of Meredith and she takes the meeting with Zachary. Of course, how do you sit down to talk business with a rockstar god, Meredith is finding that more difficult that she thought. I loved how he was open and upfront with her and wanted three dates with her, which I have to admit I’m surprised she accepted. Of course, we have Catherine and her drama in the background. I’d love to wring her neck but I’m glad she got what was coming to her. Zachary has the best of intentions with his three dates he plans for Meredith but something keeps happening during each of the dates and it’s three dates, three strikes out. Great story and I totally loved how the book ended back where we started for these two, couldn’t have been more perfect for Meredith and Zachary. Also, what a lead in to the book for Bianca and Alec, what a start to their story. Looking forward to their story as well.

With each book published, Breezie Bennett further cements her place among my favorite authors writing sweet and sexy romantic comedy.

Messing with the Bad Boy features Meredith (the good girl of the five business school friends who co-own a high-end cleaning company in Miami and bad boy rocker, Zachary. Pairing these two then launching the story with the reveal of their unexpected past, opens the door to a plethora of delicious opportunities for banter, chemistry, and emotional depth. Bennett takes full advantage of them all with a second-chance romance that checked all my happy reader boxes. I loved these two characters and was cheering for them all the way.

If you enjoy solid female friendships, humor, emotional depth, and fun, heart-tugging, closed-door romance liberally sprinkled with witty banter and plenty of chemistry, check out Breezie Bennett's Messing with the Bad Boy (and book one, Messing with the Billionaire). I can't wait to discover what Bennett has in store for readers in book three, Messing with the Bartender, due to be published January 21, 2022.

The Maids in Miami met in college and became close friends in everyday life as well in the business they have built together. When Zachary Thorne, Rock Star, from Meredith’s past moves to Miami and requests Maids in Miami with Meredith supervising the job the women learn something they didn’t know about Meredith’s past. Meredith’s heart was broken years ago when Zachary left her to pursue his dream and there is no way she is letting him back into her life.

This is only book 2 in this series but I think Zachary is my favorite hero of the two stories. He is so determined to win Meredith back and he goes about it in such a romantic way, it melts the reader’s heart. I love that the friends in this story are so close in their relationship and encourage and lift each other up no matter the situation. They definitely help Meredith along her path to happy ever after. This story is well written, lots of romance, understanding and a wonderful second chance at love. I’m excited to read the next one in this series and highly recommend book 1 and 2 of Maids in Miami.

When a Bad Boy’s Pretty Good!
This was a very entertaining book that was fun to read. The characters are interesting and fun to get to know. Zachary, the successful, but not really happy rock start wants to go back and find the love he left. Meredith isn’t sure she should give him a second chance, but true love is hard to deny. It’s very romantic to watch the relationship between these two evolve. There was a bit of a stumbling block for me towards the end where there are legal issues that a successful rock start doesn’t immediately get his attorney involved and a bit of unbelievable naivete with respect to how quickly one can get through the Miami airport, but altogether a good story worth the read. I really am enjoying the Maid in Miami series. The characters are all believable and people I would like to know in real life. The plots and characters keep getting better and better as the series unfolds.

This was a sweet second chance romance.

By the rules, goody two shoes Meredith Fleming has a secret. She dated Zachary Thorne, bad boy rock star, before he made it big when she was in college. Zach moved to Miami to try to get Meri back even building her dream house. He contracts with her company Maid in Miami, a high end cleaning company, and asks her to be the supervisor. Meredith has to tell her best friends/company co-owners about the relationship. He convinces her to go on three dates with him even though she is afraid of being hurt by him again. The three dates end up being a comedy of errors. She falls back on love with him but he has a situation which could break them apart again. The issue is resolved and they get their HEA.

Some secrets just aren't meant to stay that way. Apparently.

Bad Boy rock star Zachary Thorne makes his Miami presence known and needs an A1 cleaning company,  of course he's contacting Maid in Miami! He's specifically requesting "virgin Mer"??? What???

Meredith Flemming remains tight-lipped...until she can't. Her besties surround her, support her and definitely have her back. However when the now world famous rock star goes full-court press, how could she not be intrigued!

Three dates. Just three dates. What could go wrong? What if he gets bored. What if he doesn't???

Messing With The Bad Boy was a fast, fun and adorable read. The sisterhood of these gals is palpable. (I'd love to be in that friend group!) A true opposites attract love story that will melt your heart and long for a Zachary of your own. Dive in and devour my friends, because this is simply delicious!

They say opposites attract, but in this case it was a case of soul mates that didn’t seem like they belonged together, only to get back together 8 years later and realize they are perfect together. When Bad Boy Zachery leaves Nashville to make it big as a famous Rock and Roll singer Meredith’s heart is broken. When he turns up in Miami determined to woo her and convince her that what they have is real you find yourself wondering what he’ll do to sweep her off her feet. Of course when he gets her to agree to three dates, little did he know they wouldn’t turn out quite as he planned. Love the relationship between all the friends that run Maid in Miami, as well as feeling all the emotions everyone is feeling as you travel through their journey back to each other. Loved it, and I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!

This is the second book in the Maid in Miami series. You can read it as a standalone but I recommend reading this series in order since this series is about best friends who run a business together so previous characters do make appearance. Meredith and Zachary's story is a bit bumpy. Meredith is a bit of a perfectionist and a rule follower, she's the quintessential good girl. Dating Zachary when she was in college was the only time she was impulsive. Zachary is a rock star and his biggest regret was walking away from Meredith. He's lived the shallow life of groupies, one nightstand, and alcohol. He's in Miami to win back Meredith but their path is definitely not easy one. Witty, emotional second chance romance. Looking forward to book three.

This is book 2 in the Maid In Miami series & this is Meredith & Zachary’s story. Breezie has done it again with this fabulous book, you will be hooked from start to finish!! Meredith & Zach previously dated and her broke her heart. He got his dream & became a famous rock star & she obtained her dream of starting a business. Zack now wants a second chance with her & she’s reluctant but neither of them forgot each other. They are such a wonderful couple, you can’t help loving them & rooting for them to get their HEA!! This book has all the feels, you will laugh, cry & just be entertained. It has wonderful secondary characters too that were in the first book that add to making this such an enjoyable book. I highly recommend this book & series along with all the rest of her books, you won’t be disappointed!! I received an arc from the author for an honest review.

Second book in the series but you don’t need to read previous to enjoy.

The cleaning company Meredith and her friends started continuities to gain clients. They want to land the new rock star on the area as a client and didn’t know they had a direct contact in their mist.

Zachary may be a famous rock star, but he’s missing one important thing in his life - the girl that got away. He’s determined to win Meredith back and wants to prove to her he’s worth the chance.

Enjoyed the characters and loved their interactions. You can feel the chemistry throughout the story and are wishing for them to have that HEA.

Genuine humour. 5*
I find Breezie Bennett's books very witty and well-written. This book, like all the others I read, was a light-hearted, entertaining humorous offering that made me laugh until I cried. With so much uncertainty, constant changes of impending doom that makes us feel helpless, the approaching festive season with its own pressures were momentarily diminished while I was engrossed in the pages of this book. Demure Meredith, one of the owners of Maid in Miami cleaning company and Zachary, a rock musician may seem like an unlikely pair, but boundaries are melted when people have a pre-fame/ pre-billions history. I would most definitely recommend this episode of a great series.

This book gave me the ultimate fuzzies. I love Zachary and Meredith together. They have such amazing chemistry and love story is so beautiful. This book really shows what Second Chance romance shows are really made for. I loved how Zachary really matured throughout the book and really admitted his mistakes. The other thing I love is how Meredith really stood up and really pursued her dreams. Instead of being stupid and giving up everything she actually achieved what she wanted and also got the best of both worlds. She is feisty and a great character. I also love Zachary. He’s really awesome and such a good book boyfriend. This book gives me such cute vibes and I highly recommend

I love these Maid In Miami books!

What can I say? It’s like one long story separated into 5 books, I love how the characters appear in each story with one of the five being the main subject.

Two points I want to mention:
1. Where was Zachary’s security? There’s no way a star of his magnitude would be able to travel anywhere without a bodyguard at the very least!
2. The lawyer for Catherine meeting with Zachary (and his Manager Brett) at his house(!) without his own lawyer present!! Seriously?

On to book 3 now! 😁

Messing With the Bad Boy is the perfect romance for those who love a perfect love story. I was up most of the night reading because I just couldn’t wait to finish the love story of Meredith and Zach. Zach has come to Miami to win back the love of his life, Meredity, with three perfect dates. Sometimes his plans didn’t go as he wanted. Cue the laughter and tears. This story is sweet, funny at times and always romantic. Such a good read. Cant wait for the next book by Breezie Bennett.

Heart warming and fast paced

Such a sweet story and it moves at a great pace. I love the characters and the world Breezie has created in Miami. Meredith and Zachary’s story is romantic— you will get all the feels, I promise. You don’t have to read these stories in order, but I think it would help to understand their company, Maid in Miami, and their unique friendship. Plus, the first book is a fun read, too. I’m a Breezie fan.

They are also fast reads. Each book focuses on one of the friends. This one focuses on Meredith and Zachary who is a person from her past. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Meredith's story in the Maid in Miami series was another great installment in the series from Breezie Bennett. This story follows Meredith as her college boyfriend, Zachary comes back into her life 8 years later - wanting to win her back but facing obstacles as she has to decide to open her heart and Zachary may have to break hers in order to follow his. I loved the way this story ended and I cannot wait for the next installment in the series!!
