Maid In Miami:
When five best friends graduate from business school, it’s time for these girls to take on the world. As dazzling, eccentric, and spirited as the city where they all grew up, these dynamos head home to Miami with big plans to launch a high-end housekeeping company. Offering a mix of beauty, brains, and business savvy, it doesn’t take long for Maid in Miami to attract the most elite clients in the glamorous city. That means they are now the maids for billionaires, rock stars, athletes, and South Florida’s most charming bachelors. It turns out, a girl can clean, tidy, and make a place sparkle…until a heartthrob sweeps her off her feet. Then, things can get really messy.
Don’t miss Maid In Miami…unforgettable romantic comedies that will have you laughing, swooning, cheering, and mopping up some happy tears.
Breezie Bennett has had her fingers on a keyboard since she was a middle-schooler writing sports romances about her brother’s baseball team. A graduate of the University of Florida, she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, can dance on pointe, and has been known to shotgun a beer in 5.2 seconds. When not writing romance, you’ll find her on a Florida beach with her two dogs, Ginger and Rosemary, and a playlist full of Pink Floyd and Lil Wayne.
Alec’s wife died and he had promised her he would get their son into an elite pre-school. However, part of getting him accepted was that Alec had to be married. He had no desire to marry again, so he needed someone to fake being his wife.
Bianca Lopez and her friends often spent time in Alec’s bar. He knew she had a crush on him and figured she might go along with his plan. Bianca couldn’t imagine ever wanting children. And yet when she agreed to help Alec, she bonded quite quickly with his young son, Dane.
Now they have another problem as the two of them start to have feelings for each other! Could they actually be considering making this real? Are they willing to become the family they had only pretended to be?
This was an enjoyable read. Bianca has liked Alec for two years. Eventually he wants to talk to her. However, at first it isn't what she had hoped. Luckily he soon changes his mind and they get their happy ending.
Bennett successfully balances humor, emotional depth, and sweet romance in this contemporary, marriage-of-convenience novel. I loved the themes of friendship, starting over while honoring the past, and love sneaking up on you when you least expect it. Bianca and Alec are fully-formed characters who engaged my attention and emotions. I was in their corner, cheering them on from start to finish.
I love the strength of the female friendships in this series; the way they challenge one another, bring out their best qualities, and are willing to go to the mat for a friend in need...or close down the bar at their favorite club.
Bennett proved in her previous series that she has a knack for creating young characters who are also scene stealers and does so again with Alec's 3-year-old son in this book. This kid is adorable and a critical facet of Bianca's growth throughout this journey. She fell head over heels in love with him...and so did I.

Breezie Bennett has done it again and continues to give her readers incredible romantic comedies! I loved Messing with the Bartender, the third book in her Maid in Miami series. Breezie Bennett definitely did not disappoint with Messing with the Bartender and has once again delivered an incredible story filled with everything that I have come to love and expect in a Breezie Bennett romantic comedy, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I loved reading every moment on every page and could not put it down. Breezie Bennett has once again provided her readers with the amazing characters, that I have come to love and expect in her books, they feel like family! I love the lighter moments in Messing with the Bartender, where I found myself smiling and laughing. Breezie Bennett continues to prove with Messing with the Bartender that she is a master storyteller. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, and loving friends who always support one another, they are all such wonderful characters? I love how Breezie Bennett somehow, she manages to find the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy man. Once more her characters in Messing with the Bartender are so believable and charming, they share great chemistry, and lots of laughs. I love that Breezie Bennett writes in the first person from the perspective of the two main characters. I enjoy getting to see things from the viewpoints of the main characters. Messing With the Bartender is the story of Bianca Lopez, co-owner (with her best friends) of Maid in Miami, a high-end cleaning company and her crush, Alec Booker, bartender at Coconuts and single father of three-and-a-half-year-old son, Dane. Who does not love a fake married, opposites attract love story? Bianca has had a crush on Alec since she and co-workers has been hanging out at Coconuts. Alec asks Bianca to stay after close one night to ask for her assistance in getting Dane into preschool at Carmichael Academy, an elite private school. It was the dream of Alec’s late wife Taylor, that Dane attend Carmichael Academy, she left money for this to happen. Alec has ascertained that Carmichael Academy favors a two-parent household, especially when the single dad is a bartender, for admissions. Therefore, the need for the fake marriage. Alec has already married his soulmate and love of his life and it not interested in a long-term relationship. This is fine with Bianca, since she is does not see herself getting married or having children, she has never had an affinity to children. As Bianca, Alec, and Dane spend more time together through the interview process, the relationship between Bianca and Alec quickly changes. I love how both Alec and Bianca’s view on marriage changes as they spend time together, especially the responses Bianca gives to the interview questions. I love all the interactions between Bianca and Dane, and how excited he is about his “pretend” Mom. They confess their true feelings for one another. I love Alec and Bianca’s love story, and how the plot twists changes things between them. The one plot twist brings them together, while the other breaks them apart. I love the amazing chemistry between Bianca and Alec. I love the characters and the friendships in Messing with the Bartender, the characters truly feel like best friends. Who doesn’t love friends that always have each other’s backs? Messing With the Bartender is filled with all those things that I have come to long and expect from Breezie Bennett, incredible characters, amazing story, light, poignant and bittersweet moments, and surprise plot twists. She did not disappoint in her delivery of those things. I love how she resolved the unexpected plot twist; it was truly a heartwarming moment. I loved the ending, and how it hints as to the identity of the hero in the next story. I cannot wait read the other books in the series. My favorite part of the story was Alec’s proposal, and I especially love how Dane was included in his proposal. I absolutely loved it! I could not put the book down; I loved every moment. It was an amazing story and I highly recommend it.
Bianca and Alec and their fake relationship and unexpected love in Messing with the Bartender by Breezie Bennett, book three her series, Maid in Miami, is a refreshing drink. Throw in an adorable 3-year-old, Dane, and there’s one more reason to love this story. Bianca has been flirting with Alec, the bartender at her favorite bar, for quite a while now, but he never really responded. Eventually Bianca realizes the reason why: he’s a widowed single dad and has sworn off love after losing his soul-mate. His son's mother's dying wish was to enroll Dane into an exclusive private school but Alec learns him being a single bartender dad hurts Dane’s chances of being accepted into that selective community. The outrageous plan they hatch to get Dane into school is the downfall to their individual vows to be single forever. Bianca learns you don’t have to be single to have fun. A family can be fun too. Alec finds his heart opening up to finding love and having a relationship again. Even though both have their own reasons to remain single, they can’t fight fate. These two are perfect together, making a cute couple, with Dane stealing a lot of scenes.
Ms. Bennett wrote a fun, flirty, sweet, fake relationship romance that should definitely not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, clever banter, endearing characters, a little boy who steals everyone’s heart and supportive friends giving Bianca and Alec a chance at love, family and a future together. I highly recommend Messing with the Bartender to other readers and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Messing With the Bartender is the 3rd installment in the Maid in Miami series by Breezie Bennett, and she delivers a wonderful romantic comedy once again. So many laugh out loud moments in this story, which pulls the reader in from the very first page.
Bianca has been flirting with Alec the bartender from pretty much the first time she and her friends were at Coconuts, with zero reaction on his part. So when he asks her for help getting his three-year-old son Dane into a fancy private pre-school, Bianca is totally unprepared, yet always up for a good time, and says yes.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved Bianca and Alec, and little Dane absolutely stole my heart. I loved that they truly became a family, even though the were only "playing pretend" to get Dane into the school of Alec's late wife's dreams. I loved seeing Bianca discover there was so much more about herself, especially when it came to kids. Alec and Bianca had really wonderful chemistry, and I liked how well they worked together to make a dream come true. I have to say Dane was such a refreshing and joyful character for me. I fell completely in love with this little boy, and loved seeing this little family become real.
Messing With the Bartender was a great addition to the Maid in Miami series. I love Ms. Bennett features a different friend in each new book, yet always have plenty of friend time as well. I love this strong group of women, and can't wait to read each new book. Messing With the Bartender is a sweet and funny romance that will hit readers in all the right happy feels.
Rating: 4 Stars (B+) Review copy provided by publisher
Well worth reading this sweet fake-to-real clean romance. 4* I like Breezie's books. This one had a rather serious backbone, a widower bringing up a toddler alone. As parents, we all know about the importance of getting into a good school. People have been known to move house to be within the catchment area of a good school for their child. Alec, the handsome bartender goes one step further to keep his promise to his deceased wife to get their little boy into a very selective pre-school. Along comes Bianca, who is a sassy, fun-loving girl who just wanted to flirt with Alec. She ends up playing his fake wife to present the idea of a unified loving family to the school’s admission panel. Despite Alec's determination to never fall in love again, Bianca's magnetism, spark and beauty makes her irresistible and yes, the heart will have what the heart demands. Bianca adores her 2 for 1 guy, a ready-made family she never knew she wanted. The whole storyline is a feel-good, witty, easy-to-read, enjoyable read, although in places it verges on the cliched. There is a well-deserved HEA, which with a 3-and-a-half-year-old in tow, a sweet proposal is practically guaranteed. I am happy to recommend this book.

I absolutely love Bianca and Alec and their friends-to-lovers romance!! Bianca is one of my favorite characters ever written by Breezie Bennett because of her vivacious personality, her zest for life and her desire to always have fun. I had been hoping that Bianca and Alec would eventually get together but I never imagined she would become his fake wife and instant mother to his adorable son, Dane. I love everything about their romantic story from Bianca playing trucks with Dane to the way she impressed the administration at the snooty private school Alec wanted Dane to attend. She was a natural mom even though she never imagined herself as one. Her best friends at work were thrilled that she was helping Alec but they were worried that she would fall for him with all the time they were spending together.
Bianca jumped at the chance to help Alec without thinking what her actions would do to her heart. Her feelings grew as they became closer and she realized she didn’t want their fake relationship to end. Alec was adamant they could still be friends when the charade was over. He wasn’t looking for a commitment, just help from a good friend. What happens to Bianca’s fairy tale happily ever after with Alec and Dane? Will she wake up one morning thinking it was all a dream or will she walk hand and hand down the beach with Alec and Dane to a life full of happiness and love?
This is the third book in the Maid in Miami series. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the first two books. The series is about five friends who start a cleaning service in Miami, after they graduated college, based off one a college thesis written by one of them. Their business is successful and each book covers one of them finding love and happiness. This book is Bianca's story. If you've read the previous books then you're familiar with Bianca's bubbly happy, party girl personality. She's been flirting with Alec the manager/bartender for the last couple of years and couldn’t understand why he never took the bait. Alec is a single dad and widower. He lost his wife and love of his life when his son was a baby. He's pretty much decided that love is done with him. He ropes Bianca in to being his fake wife to help his son get into a prestigious preschool that his late wife dreamed he'd go to. Alec's trying to honor his late wife’s Iast wish and Bianca thinks it will be fun to help but will those fake feeling become all to real? Breezie Bennett does it again, well written, fun to read, and gives you all the feels.

Bianca has been flirting with Alec, the bartender at her favorite bar, for quite a while now, but he never really responded. Eventually Bianca realizes the reason why: He is a widowed single dad and he's sworn off love after losing his soulmate. His son's mother's dying wish was to enroll Dane into an exclusive private school but Alec thinks that a single bartender dad isn't likely to be chosen in that selective community. He asks Bianca to be his fake wife to create an illusion of coupledom for the selection interviews. Bianca thought she was no good with kids but she finds it easy to bond with Dane. This was a nice, well written story with perhaps a touch too much hemming and hawing that usually occurs straight after they've been talking about having real feelings. Steam level: Nothing explicit. Series status: This is part of a series in which a group of friends form an upscale cleaning company and I've enjoyed the other books but it's not necessary to know anything about those other stories in order to read this.

Messing with the Bartender is a great story in the continuation of the Maid in Miami series. I really enjoyed the characters, Alec and Bianca and how could you not love Dane, he’s too cute for words. When Bianca found out Alec was a single dad, she wasn’t sure what to do with that especially when she is uncomfortable around kids. Alec just wants to get Dane into an elite private preschool but when he finds out more information about the selection process, he needs Bianca’s help and fast. I knew Bianca would jump at the chance to help Alec and of course Dane out. I really liked how Dane and Bianca bonded over their love of construction equipment, which was such a great part of the story. Just when Alec and Bianca thought they had sealed the deal with the elite preschool, they hit a major roadblock. However, I thought Bianca’s speech, plea so to speak, was from the heart and it showed that what started as a ruse might have ended up being the real thing. I want to say so much more, but I will just say you need to read this book. Delightful story and I loved the ending. Excited to see what is up with Aubrey and her book.
Loving the Maid in Miami series. While each book can be read as a stand alone - highly recommend you read them all. Book 3 in the series revolves around fun loving party girl Bianca and Alec - her favorite bartender at Coconuts with whom she has been flirting outrageously for over two years. When Bianca finds out that Alec has a 3-1/2 year old son she quickly back pedals. While she has the gift of talking to anyone and everyone, she is tongue tied with children. Imagine her surprise when she finds that Dane is adorable and she finds herself willing to help Alec by pretending to be a fake family so Dane can get into a prestigious preschool. Love how all of them find it easier and easier to believe that they really are one big happy family. Absolutely loved how Alec who believes he had his one soul mate is able to realize a second chance at finding love. Loved this and find that with each book that Breezie continues to amaze me with her writing.
Unexpected love and of course fun along the way makes Bianca and Alec’s story a great read. Throw in an adorable 3-year-old, Dane, and you have one more reason to love this story. Overcoming loss and finding love again is not something Alec thought he would ever do but then came Bianca. She never planned on a relationship, just fun and adventure, that is her life. The outrageous plan they hatch to get Dane into school is the downfall to their individual vows to be single forever. Bianca learns you don’t have to be single to have fun. A family can be fun too. Alec finds his heart opening up to love and a relationship again. Even though both have their own reasons they have remained single, they can’t fight fate. These 2 belong together. They are such a cute couple and Dane, well, he steals a lot of scenes. Fun & sweet fake relationship story for all to read.
Breezie Bennett has done it again with Messing With the Bartender and she continues to give her readers incredible romantic comedies! Which has them coming back for more as Breezie Bennett definitely does not disappoint! She has once again delivered an incredible story filled with everything that I have come to love and expect in a Breezie Bennett romantic comedy. I loved reading every moment on every page and could not put it down. It has so many laugh out loud moments in this story, and has amazing characters, that I have come to love and expect in her books, which pulls the reader in from the very first page. Honestly every book just gets better and better! Thank you for being my escape in your books. I find myself smiling as I go! Absolutely love this one and all it's feels. One click today!! Happy reading everyone
Bianca Lopez had been flirting with cute bartender, Alec Booker for 2 years to no avail. He has finally asked her to stay after the bar closes and she is over the moon excited. However, the meeting’s outcome was not what she expected.
As Ms. Bennett dropped so many little hints about this couple in her previous books in this series, I was really looking forward to Bianca and Alec’s story. I was not disappointed. The interaction between these two was cute, funny, sexy and hot. I’m always a sucker for this kind of hero with a bit of sadness in his history. Bianca and Alec were so well balanced and a perfect match. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and of course the ending. I highly recommend Messing With The Bartender as well as the other books in the Maids in Miami series.
Just fabulous!! We finally meet the mysterious bartender Alec that Bianca has been crushing on & his story is not what she expected. Turns out he’s a single widowed Dad with an adorable 3 1/2 year old son, Dane. This is a sweet, funny, charming friends to lovers romance that pulls on your heart strings. You can’t help loving these characters & the journey to their HEA. Bianca was nervous around kids & had decided before meeting Dane she didn’t want kids and Alec had decided before Bianca he wasn’t getting remarried after losing his wife. Such a beautifully written book about healing from loss & characters who so deserve to be happy & become a family!! I recommend this book & author!! I received an arc for an honest review.
I have been waiting for Bianca and Alec's story. There is so much for to the grumpy bartender. He is a widowed, single father. His wife's wish was for their son, Dane, to go a a private school. He will only be in preschool, but it is harder to get into the school than to get into Harvard. Alec needs Bianca's help. She is always up for an adventure, so she agrees. Bianca can talk to anyone, except kids. But there is something special about Dane and she doesn't expect to lose her heart. Not only to him, but Alec too. He had closed off his heart after his wife died so Bianca doesn't expect for Alec to return any feelings. Will he realize that he can love Bianca too?
This book is a sweet romantic story . The characters Alec and Bianca and a special chemistry that no one can take way . Alec lost his wife and promise her that he would get his son in elite private preschool . But here's the catch Alec needs to be married so the only person he can ask without her saying no is Bianca but he don't know that Bianca have a crush on him for two years . The more they pretend to be married the more Bianca feels this is real and she don't want to wake up from it without heart break .

Bianca has the biggest crush on the local bartender Alec. He, however doesnt give her the time of day. She doesn't understand as she never has a probelem with geting the men. Alec as we will find out is a widow with a son. He is dedicated to his son, nothing with distract that. When BIanca shockingly finds this out shestarts to see things differently. She does not like kids and there is no way she is dating a father. Except when he asks her to help him by being his fake wife. Fake relationship or not this book was fun to read. It had everything needed to be a perfect rom-com. I cant wait to get the next one.
** I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review **
Absolutely the sweetest and most unexpected love story that I have read in ages! (Joyful tears are clouding my vision as I write.)
For two and a half years Bianca has incessantly flirted with Alec the bartender before he talks to her of his own volition. But what he has to say is a shocking game-changer and now he's totally off limits. Or is he??
Our pasts shape us. Promises made can change and grow.
And apparently, patience truly IS a virtue!
I have to say that Breezie Bennett has given us something fresh and full of hope. As Dane would say, "Because you're the bestest!"
Love it. This one is very different from the others in the series so far because Alec is not a billionaire and he is a single dad. Bianca is a fun loving girl, she did not think she wanted children. She finds out the guy she has been crushing on for two years has an adorable three and half year old things change. I loved how they start off as a fake couple but it turns to a real relationship pretty quick. Dane is so cute and a spotlight stealer. Loved all the characters and the happily ever after. Leads into the next one nicely.

Alex and Bianca's story was wonderful! Of course everything I have read written by Breezier Bennett is. Her story lines flow as does the dialogue. All of her books are wonderful and I cannot wait until the next one comes out! I pre-ordered it as soon as I finished reading the bartender 😁 if you're looking for a really cool read that's not too heavy that just has all the good feels and some tears and laugh out loud moments... pick up a book by Breezie. you'll find yourself going on to the next one and the next one and the next one I guarantee it!
I say this every time, but this is my new fav book in the series! I mean it had everything in it I love. It had a single dad, a cuter than cute kid and a fun and flirty woman. Add it all together and you have the ingredients for a great story. I was not sure how this story was going to develop at first but right away it all came together and I knew it would be amazing. If you have yet to read this author, do it. She will become a must read for you.
Bianca's crush on Alec is longstanding until she discovers he is a single Dad. She has never pictured herself as more than the fun girl and never wanted to be a Mother. Everything changes when she does him a favor and pretends to be his wife in an attempt to get his boy into the best pre-school in Miami. Its a lively and wonderful story but the true star of it is Dane the absolutely adorable 3 and a half year old who owns the hearts of all who meet him. I loved it!
This was such a sweet romance! This series just seems to get cuter and cuter with each book I read. I really love Alec and Bianca but Dane was really the star of the book as he was so adorable! The chemistry between Alec and Bianca was sizzling but what I liked best was the easy and comfortable relationship they have. This was such a fun and entertaining read.
I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
Messing with the Bartender is the latest book in Breezie Bennett’s Maid in Miami series. It’s an opposites-attract love story between grumpy, introverted, single dad, Alec, and bubbly, flirtatious, extroverted, Bianca. Each book in this series has gotten better and better and this one is no exception. There is so much heart in this delightfully sweet story. Messing with the Bartender is the perfect book escape to leave you smiling.
I think this might be my favorite one in the Main in Miami series!! This book follows Alec and Bianca. Bianca has had a crush on Alec for two years when she suddenly finds out why he has been keeping her at arm's length. When this widower asks for help for his 3 year old son, Bianca can't help but fall in love with them both as she gets to know them. 3 year old Dane was precious and this was a great story!!
a common trope but with a twist that makes it worthwhile
When I started the book, I thought it would be so predictable that I didn’t expect much. The development of the story however was excellent and the party girl, Bianca being drawn to the “fake” husband Alec because of his devotion to his deceased wife and his very smart three year old son. It was a good humorous, emotional story. I would definitely recommend it.
