Book 2 in the series. All can be read as stand alone. Zeke seemed more of a leader. Loved the way he met Evangeline. I really wanted to give this a 5. The plot was interesting and kept me intrigued. The crooked ex boyfriend people popping up and the the twist with law enforcement. My issue was they did it like bunnies, I needed more story and less knocking. Thank you for the arc, I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

While it may be read as a standalone, I recommend reading Defending Avery in the series order as it seamlessly blends a series review with day-to-day interactions of the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado family.

Defending Evangeline: Team Trojan is by Delilah Devlin. This is about the Brotherhood Protectors out of Fool’s Gold, Colorado. Team Trojan was a Special Forces team who ran afoul of a commander who knew nothing about the way they worked. They had a mission that after getting into the field, they all felt it was against their principles and those of their teams. They refused to complete the mission and their commander brought up charges. They beat the charges; but were discharged. They were all contacted to join the Brotherhood Protectors in Colorado under Hank Patterson. Although they were glad to have a job with the Brotherhood, they were still disillusioned and angry at the way they were treated. Something was missing in their lives. They were about to find out what.
Zeke was in town and as he crossed the street to get coffee, he noticed a lady trying to go unnoticed. Something about her screamed to him that she was in trouble. He began following her to find out if he was right or wrong. Just as he decided he was wrong, he witnessed two men trying to kidnap her and put her in their SUV. He intervened and the men left. The woman wanted nothing done as far as the sheriff was concerned and thought he had been hired to catch her too. By the time he had her story, he had already appointed himself her bodyguard until the situation could be worked out and she was no longer in danger.
Evangeline wasn’t completely convinced he was true. He had to prove he wasn’t stringing her along. Could he really protect her?

It was okay. Not much story apart from sex, sex and more sex!

The beginning of the book was quite good. As bounty hunters try to kidnap her to take her to her ex. It was boring after that!

Evangeline is on the run from her psychotic ex. When Zeke senses that she’s in danger, he follows her and realises that he’s right, when bounty hunters try to kidnap her.

Zeke works for the Brotherhood. A security company. They hatch a plan to send Evangeline and Zeke as her protector, to a cabin in the woods.

That’s when the plot goes on holiday. She decides that she wants him. So as soon as they’re at the cabin, they start having sex, and sex and sex and more sex!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!! I was actually bored of reading the sex scenes!

So after all the sex, the great protectors that they are, have missed that she’s been found! And they knew where she was all along as she was tracked! Yeah I wouldn’t hire them! So the bad men find her and he saves her and the end!

Plot: BAD. Spelling: REALLY BAD! I’m instead of I. He toggled her nipples??? I’ve no clue!!! Sex scenes are boring! Apart from being never ending, they’re boring!

Defending Evangeline is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Delilah Devlin. Ms. Devlin has brought amazing characters to life in this well-written story. Zeke and his team were given the choice to resign or be dishonorably discharged from the military. Team Trojan joined the Brotherhood Protectors and Zeke has his first mission under his belt and now has a couple days off to explore their new area. Evangeline is rescued by Zeke when two men try to abduct her, she's worried her ex has found where she's been hiding. Zeke and Evangeline's story is cover to cover drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Delilah Devlin. Defending Evangeline is book 2 of the Team Trojan Series taking place in the Brotherhood Protectors World but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

Anyone who has been reading the Colorado Brotherhood series has been waiting for the guys of Team Trojan (and yes that is where they get their name from) after they where mentioned in an earlier book and I definitely couldn't wait for their stories and I wasn't disappointed at all

Zeke is the member of Team Trojan who is having the most trouble adapting yes Hank and Jake have both given him promises that he will always be respected but he expected that from the military when he was a Green Beret and look where that got him forced out rather than facing a dishonourable discharge and all because of the leadership That all changes when he decides to investigate the nearest town and a woman causes all his spider senses to go off when that woodman is almost kidnapped he steps in to help Evangeline is hiding from her ex but it looks like he has found her now she has to decide does she run again or does she believe the hot man who saved her that he and his team can keep her safe You will have to read to see what happens

Defending Evangeline is the second book in the Team Trojan series, which is part of the Brotherhood Protectors World started by Elle James. Delilah Devlin has written the story of how Zeke goes from being a grumpy bear to being a man who is happy with how his life has changed. Zeke Turner is wary of his new job. He had assurances from Hank Patterson who started the Brotherhood Protectors in Montana and from Jake Cogburn who was heading up the Colorado branch that ‘they respected their service, and they would be proud of the work they’d do here.’ While checking out the nearest town Zeke sees a woman who gets his spidey senses tingling and follows her around town. When a SUV pulls up and a guy tries to pull her into the vehicle, Zeke takes action and rescues her from being abducted. Zeke convinces her that his team can protect her. Evangeline and Zeke have sparks flying off them from the start. Recommend this book and this series as worth reading.

We are back with the former members of the Trojan Team. Men that were booted out because of the failures of their leadership.
Thankfully, they have not only found jobs with the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors, but they have also been able to remain together as they continue to protect those in need.
One of these men is Zeke Turner. A man that is still not sure if accepting this new job is the right one for him.
But all that seems to change when he literally bumps into Evangeline Carre. A woman he is sure is keeping secrets and is in danger. The moment he interferes in stopping her kidnapping, he is determined to protect her.
With a plot that is engaging, filled with danger , good guys, bad guys and of course romance, we end up with another entertaining story in the series.

There’s always some measure of caution that’s needed when writing a review. The blurb has the back story, spoilers are never happening if I’m involved, so the idea is to tell you what I loved and hated. That’s quite easy, really. This is Zeke’s book, a new member of the Brotherhood Protectors, and a Team Trojan member; he’s bitter, and understandably so, about their departure from active service, and he’s taking time off after his first Brotherhood gig when he sees a woman who is clearly hiding something. He foils her near-kidnapping, and the team is now on the track of her abusive ex. Although this is a standalone, we see Bodie and Sophie again, as well as the other team members, and it’s a good story in its own right. Zeke is particularly well written; and honestly that cover pic says it all!

Sometimes, love happens when you least expect it. Neither of them were looking for a relationship. She had just left an abusive relationship and he still felt lost after what went down. He didn’t know anything was missing from his life, until he met her.

Zeke and his team have just been hired by Brotherhood Protectors. He was feeling antsy and needed to get away. As he’s driving through Fool’s Gold, he notices a woman walking down the street. He doesn’t know why, but he starts following her. Now they’re secluded in a cabin and he doesn’t know how all this happened.

Evangeline is on the run from her abusive ex-boyfriend. She thought she would be ok for now in the small town, but then someone grabs her and forces her towards an SUV. Then out of know where, a man rushes them and she breaks free. Now he’s her bodyguard and they’re in a safe house.

It’s a fantastic series! Love the name….
Zeke Turner is still trying to wrap his head around the betrayal he feels from his time in the service. Team Trojan took the fall for something they didn’t do and their military career was over.
But his new job with The Brotherhood Protectors is just want he needs to start over.
Evangeline Carre is scared and doesn’t know where to turn. Hiding in plain sight has worked for a long time until today….
Zeke is in the right place at the wrong time when Evangeline is the victim of an attempted kidnapping. She’s hiding a pretty big secret and Zeke is falling fast. Can he protect the woman that owns his heart or are her secrets big enough to keep them apart?

This is number two in this five book team as part of the Brotherhood Protectors group. Ex Seals, green berets and other ex service men make up this large group. These latest 5 to the team are all special forces with expert training making them perfect for the organisation. Zeke falls into a mission by coincidence. He had his eye on this women who seemed suspicious or hiding, just something not quite right. Right in front of him he sees her being dragged to a car and flies to the rescue. Taking her back to the ranch the guys are determined to get to the bottom on it. Is she a criminal on the run? Or a victim?
I quite enjoyed this plot, a tale of murder, drama, action and greed. Not to mention this couple finding each other.
A great entertaining read, I highly recommend it.

This is book 2 from the Brotherhood Protectors (original series by Elle James) Colorado World, Team Trojan and it features Evangeline and Zeke.  Still reeling from his separation from the Army, Zeke is looking for purpose in his life.  He’s not sure if the Brotherhood Protectors is where it’s at, until he met Evangeline.  His attraction was almost instant but she’s a little more hesitant.  I can understand why, considering what she’s running from.  These two are absolutely EXPLOSIVE together.  The steam factor is off the charts.  Let me just say that she is one LUCKY woman!

The story line is fantastic!  The plot twist happened early and was well absorbed into the story line.  Character growth was smooth throughout the book.  The characters are all awesome and I can’t wait for more!

This book had the basic elements of the Brotherhood Protector series, but the characters were a little stale. While Zeke was fairly true to form in the male lead, Evangeline's personality left much to be desired. How can you go from running for your life to making inappropriate gestures within six hours of meeting a man? Didn't ring true at all.
Lot of bits of the story didn't make sense either. If you are on the run, you wouldn't be packing fancy lingerie and three bags. You would like to travel light. If she was pregnant, why didn't the ex boyfriend know specifically since he was overbearing and controlling. Plus why give them so much time in the cabin before taking care of business?

A damsel in distress escaping a controlling partner runs across the path of a born and bred hero who’s determined to protect and save her. It’s a plot line my book fantasies are made of. After all, romantic suspense is probably my favorite genre to read. However, it’s possible that I’ve come to develop some unrealistically high expectations of it: I want the romance and the suspense to balanced and integrated into one another. This story, while being an extra spicy romance between Zeke and Evangaline, was a little light on the suspense portion of the plot from what I wanted. It’s also left me with a lot of unanswered questions after how quickly the ending wrapped up.

Book 2 and we get Zeke's story. After his last assignment Jake gives him a couple days off and Zeke decides to go into town for the day. While he's in town he notices a girl who looks like she may be in trouble. It's a good thing he decides follow her because someone try's to kidnap her off the street and Zeke goes to her rescue. Later he finds out her real name is Evangeline and he takes her back to the ranch so him and his team can help and protect her. Zeke finds out she running from an ex boyfriend. There's drama, secrets, action and the chemistry between Zeke and Evangeline is explosive.

Zeke, the second Trojan to fall. Evangeline, someone not supposed to like Zeke. There's a bit more zing in this relationship that starts with these two and it's hot. Quite a few surprises from Evangeline that I wasn't expecting, dinner, the back porch, and her take no prisoner attitude. Laugh out loud moments from both and a threat that seems to disappear, but doesn't and it will take trust to get through it. Loved when Zeke felt free. Loving this series totally.

Evangeline Carre is on the run. She has discovered that her very rich and well-connected ex-boyfriend is as crooked as can be. She is hiding out in Fool's Gold when ex-Green Beret and now member of the Brotherhood Protectors, Zeke Turner notices Evangeline and suspects she is in some kind of trouble from the way she is acting. I enjoyed reading along as the attraction between these two characters heated up amidst the danger they faced. This was a hot, fun read.

Zeke and Evangeline's story was so good! I love a read that is rich with emotion and that is exactly wat this book delivers. I really liked these two individually and as a couple. It was easy to feel the chemistry and sparks that this couple shared. The combination of danger, tension, intensity and drama is potent and consuming. I found myself having to stay up late to finish this book. I just could not put is down. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

Unexpected Sparks!

Defending Evangeline: Fantastic writing and dialog! Fantastic characters that landed in the right place. Send was different to the others. He does like to be stationary for to long. When he saw the damsel in trouble. He was feeling like there was something not right going on with her. Then he saw she was in trouble and he jumped in. He was determine to help her and called in his crew for the help. Great story!

Yum! Zeke is awesome, I love how protective and attentive he is and his naughty antics just add to the package!
Team Trojan are a great addition to the Brotherhood Protectors World and the Colorado team, having this spin off as a multi author mini series is fantastic as we get a great mix of personalities and styles. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Great Series

I like the team spirit of the guys in the Brotherhood Protectors. Didn't matter what branch of service they are with formerly, they all had each others back without question. The storyline was interesting and the characters were easy to like. I'm looking forward to the next book. I'd recommend the series to all those who love the action packed tales of former military teams men and the women who capture their attention. HEA's guaranteed!

Zeke is another Team Trojan trying to find his way. Finally he gets an assignment by pure accident. He notices a woman acting strange while he's in town and decides to follow her. Good thing he did, someone tried to kidnap Evangeline right off the street. There's plenty of action, secrects and doubts, but they all work together to protect each other like they always do. HEA.

This is the second book in the Team Trojan series and it was better than the first book, which was great. It started with action and kept it going. Then added romance, suspense and humor. I liked Zeke and Evangeline and loved their story. I liked the way that Evangeline was a combination of shy and bold. I received an ARC of this book and I recommend it.

This book was absolutely fantastic and had me hooked from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Zeke is trying to get use to be out of the military but when he sees a woman acting strange it's zeke to the rescue. Avangeline is on the run from her ex but can zeke and his team keep her safe?

Holy Moly

Delilah Devlin is a new author to me but not am I hooked. The chemistry between Zeke and Evangeline was off the charts. The thread pulling these two characters together was palpable and a beautiful sight to behold. Will definitely be reading more of this author. 5 stars without a doubt
