This is the finest resource I have seen for new Christians. I am going to start using it at New Hope Christian Church, Nokomis, FL. It should be read, preached, and taught in small groups! Excellent!
This is the first book I’ve officially finished this year. This book really helped me understand what it’s like to be a Christian, and how to live and become like Jesus. I would suggest it to any Christian, old or new.
Greg Laurie is on the money on every topic, but there are several books in this category I will recommend before this because of their brevity/ease of reading.
The content of this book is very simple and very vanilla but it contains a lot of information and answers to basic questions new believer's may ask. My main concern with the book is that even though it a relatively short book (160 small pages) it is too long for an everyone should read this and would better serve a new convert who already loves reading (who would probably choose a longer book) or as a resource where someone might read the specific chapter they are interested in.
Topics covered - What being "saved" means, new life as a Christian, Bible Study, Prayer, Fellowship, Temptation, Problems/Hardships, Seeking Guidance, and Sharing my Faith.
Not a book I plan to hand out to new believers unless someone asked about a specific topic.
Great Book if you are just beginning your Christian walk. I originally was going to read a chapter a day but ended up reading the whole thing in once sitting.
