With those four words, she takes up permeant residence in my heart. Makes me want to pour out all my secrets, to let her in like no one else before her. There’s only one problem—she’s the last girl in the world I’ll ever be allowed to keep.
I’ve always been the guy everyone can count on. The big brother. The perfect son. The nephew who makes the whole family proud. What they don’t know is how hard I’ve worked to be what they want me to be. Or how scared I am to lose it all.
And that’s what will happen if I let myself love her. I’ll lose.
Yet somehow, I can’t seem to help myself. I know it’s dangerous, but I still want more. More time with her. More secrets. More stolen kisses.
She may be the one woman I can never have, but she’s also the only woman I can’t seem to give up. And for the first time in my life, I’m starting to wonder if love just might be worth the risk.
If there was a way, any way, I would make this family come to life and I would some how make myself a part of it. I am not joking. I will read a Ransome family book, no matter when, no matter where. I will drop everything and jump in with both feet.
If you even think you might like rock star romance, start the series from the very beginning. It begins with the 4 Ransome brothers, their manager Levi, and their dad. All of those books are awesome. Now, here's where it gets crazy. This author jumps 20 years or so and these next books are about the children of these four (plus Levi). I don't think there are many authors out there who can keep a story going and keep it good through generations of characters.
This one is about Cash's son Wyatt. He is the oldest of the Ransome kids but is not Cash's biological son. His childhood story is still haunting him as an adult and making it difficult for him to chase his dream for love. Well, partly it's because of his childhood, the other part had to do with the fact that he is in love with Levi's daughter. Levi, the manager, basically the fifth brother. Wyatt has grown up with Alex since she was born and oh yeah he's 11 years older than her.
GOOOOOSH, this family. Their family dynamics, their closeness, the Ransome brothers extreme over-protectiveness. The way they parent. It is all just awesome mixed in with sweet love, sexy love, rock concerts, music of all kinds, heart and humor.
I know...I'm gushing. There are just some books, you know the ones. And, this whole series is one of those for me and this one did not disappoint.
Backstreet Boys, in a rock star book, haha lol!!! It is so sweet and so funny when you read it!
Loved this story. I am so intrigued with how each member of the Ransom clan deals with being part of the family and how it effects their life. Wyatt and Alex were especially of interest since they aren’t technically Ransom by blood. I look forward to future books!
I love this series! We first get to know Wyatt when he is nine years old and has his first run-in with the Ransome clan. It was very hard to marry up that young boy with this grown-up and sophisticated man. He is 33 now but boy he is still just as charming as that little boy that slicked his hair back to be like Cash. There is a lot of angst in this book as the two protagonists are part of the same ‘family’. I did have to remind myself that although they had grown up together, they weren’t blood-related and there was no incest going on. I wish more people would speak to one another though, instead of holding all their thoughts and feelings in. For a close family, they don’t like to confide in one another. I love how the author manages to capture a distinct personality for each of her characters. I don’t feel like I am reading a cookie-cutter version of the last book but something unique instead. Rachel manages to do this perfectly, and I think that is why I like these books so much as you feel like you are getting to know everyone individually. I liked the reality show side of things as I am a major reality show fan; I love the Kardashians. I was really getting a good vibe from this side of the story and could imagine it all perfectly as similar has happened in that show before. I like that we are circling through various groups that have formed between the cousins but still getting some overlap of characters we have met before. It is getting easier and easier to remember who is who and I didn’t have to refer to the family tree chart once in this book. I’m really excited for more of this series but was gutted that the author didn’t hint at who was up next. I’m thinking, maybe Everly? I’m sure she was hiding something! Overall, another fantastic read from Rachel Schurig as part of the spin-off series from the Ransome brothers. I couldn’t put this down and had to keep making time to read it. I’m gutted that I have finished it and keep thinking about everyone even though I’m done. I always think this is an excellent testament to a fantastic book!

Another great Ransome family love story. This story is about Sam’s son Wyatt and their friend Levi’s daughter Alex. Wyatt is a pianist with an orchestra in Seattle, but has been sidelined by due a problem with his hand that requires surgery. Following the deaths of his much beloved grandparents, the family pressures him to have the surgery in LA and stay with his family while he recovers. Due to his attraction to Alex, he has been avoiding LA and is reluctant to go. What happens is a wonderful story that you will want to read.

Fight for me was just epic!!!!!!! I’ve been following ransoms every footsteps since the first one was published and Wyatt was the second generation I’d been dying for. He did not disappoint. He is the kind of guy who always thinks about everyone before himself...... can we say swoon! What surprised me about this book was that it made me like Levi a lot more. I’ve always liked him, but not as much as the main guys. This book made me see him in a new light. As always Rachel does not disappoint. If you are not wavering, stop and buy now :-)

Ahhhhhh. This book is amazing!!! It has the perfect troupe for the characters and it was so well written. I love how they both think they are outsiders, but find a home together in themselves. Wyatt is so much like Cash, and Alex is so much like Karen, but while still being unique in their own ways. They are so perfect for each other and I love it. This is probably my second fav in the next generation series, only second to Everly and Bodhi’s book. All in all, I love this book and you should too! It ties up Wyatt so well and I love Alex’s relationship with her family. Happy reading! 💕✨
You know what I actually really, really loved this. Wyatt and Alex were both such interesting characters with lots of baggage and background to deal with, but I loved their slowburn romance and how they REALLY killed the friends to lover vibes. The reality show stuff gave me anxiety (and reminded me too much of Addicted at times) but I did like it. I haven't read any of the other books in either series, but I am intrigued about some of the parent stories (namely Levi and Karen's) and am definitely looking forward to more stories about the other kids!
My favourite book and couple of the Ransom family spin-off.
Perhaps because I enjoyed Levi/Karen’s story the most from the og series, so it was nice to see their daughter, Alex and her story alongside Wyatt (Sam & Cash’s son). Two people I hadn’t even thought of as being a couple yet I adored their story, their development and love.
