Welcome to Golden Hope, where the whole town will cast you under its spell…
When bodies start popping up in Golden Hope, Storm Bancroft has a feeling something is wrong. Sure, they’ve been labelled accidents, but a witch has her intuition, and Storm trusts hers. Getting the Witches Murder Club back together, the group begins to investigate and quickly finds that Storm is probably right. These aren’t accidents. They’re murders.
With no chance of getting any help from the police, Storm and her friends set about investigating on their own. But Storm has other questions that need answering. Questions about her past. And as she spends more time with Logan, she starts wondering about her future, too.
The killer, however, has plans that involve Storm not having a future at all. Will the Witches Murder Club bring another murderer to justice before Storm becomes the next to fall victim to an "accident"?
Samantha Silver lives in British Columbia, Canada, along with her husband and seventeen-year-old dog named Terra.
When she's not writing cozy mysteries, Samantha loves travelling (she's most recently been to Egypt, Jordan and Florida) skiing, eating Dairy Queen, and complaining about how hard running is.
from the synopsis - "set about investigating on their own." Yikes! Authors - please note - stop with this over-used and awful plot when the main character(s) do their own murder investigation. They not only endanger themselves and others but they often break the law, such as breaking and entering. They interfere with the law enforcement investigation. I am so sick and tired of this plot! I got as far as the first chapter and quit.

This second book in the series makes no progress as far as Storm’s parent’s deaths are concerned, but it doesn’t stop her from figuring out there is someone in town killing people! That means it is time for the Witches Murder Club to meet again, and for the witches to look at just who might have wanted to kill the three people who are now dead. There’s a lot going on for Storm, what with her job, the murders, getting not very far on her parent’s case… and actually managing to go on a date or two! It’s mostly good fun though, with an enjoyable cast of characters, a grumbly familiar, and several mysteries to be solved.
A fun cosy paranormal mystery book, perfect for reading coiled up under a blanket!
This is a great paranormal women’s fiction series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. A young which happens to be a reporter for a small town paper and her friends a local defense attorney a local barista and local bartender all who are witches. Treat which is murder club. Together they help solve murders mysteries and other issues in their little small town. A fun and entertaining series that is a spectacular read and extraordinarily entertaining. Check it out
Good Mystery With no chance of getting any help from the police, Storm and her friends set about investigating on their own. But Storm has other questions that need answering. Questions about her past. And as she spends more time with Logan, she starts wondering about her future, too. This is a great mystery! Thanks to the witches mystery club another mystery is solved. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
Continuity is off again with errors creeping back in.. the solution was so obvious it really was somewhat silly to try and make out it wasn't.
The general idea is better fleshed out than most of Silver's books, but it still falls well short when she fails to keep track of what she's already written.. It's not even a previous story; it's within the same book.
A lite mystery series in a small town based on a reporter and three other witches trying to solve a mystery. The plot and subplots move quickly. There are a few different storylines with one about Storm’s family recurring. I can’t wait for the next book and highly recommend this series!
Too. Damn. Cute. I really need a little Jay in my life. I just don't want to have to go through anything like what Storm has had to go through to get him though. Great mystery, still loving all the characters. As much as she is the serious, law-abiding one of the group, Ashley is also the comedic relief to me. Looking forward to more in this series!
The sequel is just a cute as the original. Storm, Ashley, Montana and Holly bring back the Witches Murder Club. This time at least none of the members are suspects. Jay doesn't get as much page time as the last book. I think that is compensated by the amount of page time Lofan gets. A murderer is on the lose and the WMC is going to solve this mystery. Quick and easy read.
I can’t wait to read the third book! I sweet feel good series based on a water witch called Storm. She is a journalist in a town and trouble seems to find her. She and her friends decide to solve murders in their small town. With a cute cat familiar who loves his food! 😊
This is the second in a three book series. The main character is engaging and a more active which than Samantha usually introduces. I’m not sure about the subplot yet but because there is only one more book in the series, I am sure it will all be explained.
This series us a hit. If you like tough mysteries with an unexpected twist at the end, this ones for you. Well written. Keeps your interest. A wonderful group of witches. And a little romance. Loved it.
But she also seems to be making herself a target. If she did everything on the down low and they didn’t know she was on to them then where would the fun be? Excellent series and the characters are developing well.
I'm really enjoying this series! The characters are well develop and the town is described so well that I wish it was a real town to visit. I'm pretty sure that Jay, the familiar, is my spirit animal.
I liked the first book enough to continue on with the series, and so far it’s a fun cozy mystery with a magical twist. Only takes an hour or so to read, so great for binging.
This series is quick to read, but also so well done! I love that the main character and her friends are all so different and yet considered strong in their own way. I also really enjoy the fast-paced plot, magic, and romance. I'm looking forward to the next book!
Snowballs Chance In Hex (The Witches Murder Club book 2)
This was another winner. I highly recommend all her books and different series. She writes great paranormal mysteries. She has a great cast of characters in every book and series. Diana Romano
A fun book, a good cast ad some interesting twists! Forward to the next one! Oh and last but certainly not least..the brains behind it all nose in the air, humph, told yaso feline sidekick!!
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
