the super creepy and overly controlling and bullying uncle? that was way too much!!

can we please stop glorifying virginity as if it’s something super special or as if it’s something super strange to be one at 20? not everyone is interested or has the opportunities for sex before their 20s! and that’s perfectly fine and normal!

also the strange instant attraction and over the top moments of her actually thinking: “he puts his hand in his pocket as if he’s a groupie and never wants to wash it”?? what? sure. because after the first meeting it’s natural to think that!
and it’s gets better when they meet each other in the gym later and he decides that she’s looking at him like he’s a god.

okay.
sure.

it’s a super quick read but way over the top ridiculous and extremely dramatically overwritten for me to actually enjoy it.

but that’s fine.

if you love over the top, really unrealistic characters, situations and plots in your romances? this is for you.

i need it a bit more real life to enjoy it.

Mostly annoyed.

I don’t know how I’ve gotten such horrible luck lately but every book I’ve been reading has a hero that’s totally smug, condescending, belittling, and basically just feels like he’s making fun of the heroine for being less experienced than him. This book was no exception.

Kris didn’t seem to really have any feelings for her that didn’t involve smex until all the sudden he bursts out with it. Idk, his internal dialogue didn’t really give off that vibe. Add that to his previously mentioned a hole attitude and I just hated the dude.

The uncles excuse for doing what he did was flimsy AT BEST.

I don’t know, this one was just a disappointment.

Really engaging, sexy , fun and short novella. Age-gap/ forbidden/workplace boss romance reads that brings lots of sizzle, heat, secrets, intrigue, chemistry and feels. Kris and Chianna are really great characters and their connection comes thru the pages. Another classic Penny Wylder romance in the making ! Enjoyed the plot, characters, and awesome HEA!

This story was good, engaging, and entertaining. I really enjoy it. Chianna is a hard worker, sweet, beautiful, and smart. She is following her mother’s footsteps and she wants the best for herself. She is so nice and does not want to cause any drama. She is working keeping her head down until she meets Kris. Kris is intelligent, handsome, the sweetest, and very caring. He is a very hard worker at his job. He is humble person who knows what he wants. When he meets Chianna, he cannot get her off his mind. The writing is beautiful as usual Penny’s style. What a creepy book!
At first it says that chianna, a girl who wanted to do something in her life, always kept her distance from relationships and hence she was a "vergin". Okay! I am taking it.

But then it says that she couldn't control her imagination when she saw that man "Kris" for the first time.

Are you serious?
She just met a man, she started imaginging his lips on her, how his tongue would play with hers and what not!
Okay! I'm taking this too. Imagination are imagination, one can't control it.
But the hell you can control your action!
Now, imagine it in different context, where Krish, an employee at a company starts to ogling an intern who is new there. Where the girl don't feel right , he starts to wink at her, smile at her for no reason. How would had the girl reacted that time?

This story just gives a hint to those type of man who thinks that the girl is into them even after she is not, and it is making her uncomfortable.
There was nothing romantic about this book. There was only lust, lust and just lust!

This is going to be a very quick review. I think this book suffered from being too short. The characters didn't have time to develop. The question of whether or not the relationship is forbidden (there is more than one reason to ask that question) isn't explored very deeply. When the big reveal as to the motivation of the bad guy occurs, it is kind of blah. The author created a smart, hard-working female protagonist but didn't do much with it. The male protagonist is another perfect man in a suit. Even the fact that he's "a player" isn't explored beyond him being labeled. I ended the story feeling like I had finished an outline or initial idea for a book that would be filled in with details later. If you want the adult scenes that Penny Wylder is known for, you won't be disappointed. They are in here.

Chianna felt like the world stood still the moment she laid eyes on Kris, but she was weary of him, as she had heard all the rumours about his womanising antics. The flames between them could not be extinguished, which led them on a secret journey of subterfuge and erotic encounters.

I was hooked on the story right from the beginning, as the author made the story come alive with each page turn. I am happy to recommend this entertaining book your your reading pleasure.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Kris is sexy as all get tech mogul, has eyes for his coworker’s niece and has eyes for this sexy intern. Chianna is the sexy intern working with her uncle’s company trying to get a foot in the door in the tech world. From the moment of meeting the chemistry is instance, continue to build the more they are around each other and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored but her uncle is treating like she is there for his every beck and call. Will her uncle leave them alone, or cause issues and can they find something more while working together (like happiness)?

If you are looking for a workplace romance that gets steamier and steamier, then you have to get this book!! This book takes about an hour to read and is filled to the brim with so much goodness!! Chianna just started an internship at her uncle’s office. Kris works there too and is her uncle’s rival in all things.

Kris is instantly taken with Chianna. You will love his character! He’s so confident in himself at work and in the bedroom. Chianna is a younger woman with no experience but Kris wants to help change that. The scene in the gym is HOT!!! The scene in the cafeteria and then quickly after in a meeting is HOTTER!! When they can finally be alone it is EVERYTHING!! Everything about these two makes for an awesome read!!

This is a short novella that involves an intern being manipulated by her uncle into working for him at a tech company and his competition for a promotion at the office swooping in and sweeping his niece off her feet.

Chianna is a virgin who only wants to work in the tech field and will take any learning experiences she can. Kris is a executive who is known around the office as a player. Chianna wants nothing to do with him, initially. But then she shakes his hand and the chemistry that flows between them in unmistakable and she's ready to give into her wilder side to be with him. The build up to get there and then watching it happen is great. I wanted so much more from this story. It could easily have been made into a full length novel for sure.

This book brings us Kris and Chianna. Kris is up against Chianna's uncle, who is an awful human being. Chianna is working as an intern for him and he is making her do things that he should not be doing. The moment that Kris sets his eyes on Chianna, he is a goner. I enjoyed the banter between the two of them, and once Kris made up his mind that Chianna was his, even with who her uncle is, nothing was going to stop him from being with her. Chianna was a strong female and finally stood up to her no good uncle. This was a short read, great before bedtime. I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

Kris and Chiannia are forbidden lovers because of her controlling uncle . She lost her parents so she's forced to work for uncle until she's 21 and her trust is released . Kris and the Uncle are competing for the same job . Kris helps Chiannia out when she needs it and it turns into much more . There drama and steamy scenes . It well worth the read . You will definitely enjoy this one . The plot twist is awesome but I won't spoil it . Another home run by Penny . :)

This is a sort and cute office romance. Kris has one of those movie moments when the world stops around you after laying eyes on your dream girl. Chianna is the niece of Kris’s rival at work.

Kris is known as a player and her creepy, gross uncle hates his guts so she knows she should stay away. It’s hard to fight that attraction though.

Novella length, slow burn. Story 4/5, Spice 3/5, Angst 3.5/5. Virgin heroine, no cheating, no cliffhanger and an HEA with epilogue.

This story is a pretty quick read and it brings the heat and the sweet from the start!

If you’re looking for an age gap, office romance this is one to check out!

However, she happy to be his competition's niece, so should be off-limits. However, they both can't help themselves as their chemistry sizzles. I thought they were quite cute together, and loved how Kianna didn't back down from anything Chris throws at her.

I really enjoyed this book, thou not a surprise as Penny always delivers a great read. Even thou this was a fairly short read it was still well balanced and had a great storyline, that was easy to follow but also believe. Great characters Kris knew what he wanted and went for it. It's a good office romance, mixing conflict and manipulation to get a contract or manage each other's relationships. Kris and Chianna's story is tender, steamy, a bit cliché perhaps by the young girl's situation, punctuated by the dirty tricks of the latter's uncle who can't stand Kris with whom he works.

I really enjoyed Kris and Chianna's story. Ends with a HEA and gives a great epilogue.
