This wasn't a bad read, but there were two distinct sets of stories which were almost copies of each other, leading me to believe that these were more urban legends than actual accounts. As for the rest of them, some were quite good, some I was skeptical about but they did seem to be told in distinct voices and the editing was good. Not as scary as promised in my opinion, but that could be me.
The thing I liked least about the book was that the last 15% is a preview of a fiction paranormal book the author has written. I don't really read ghost/horror fiction and it seemed oddly placed in a non-fiction title. If you like ghost stories, it's on Kindle Unlimited and I would read something else by the author.
The unusual and strange. I liked this book it was a great read for this time of year! Some of the stories I have heard or read before but for me it did not take away the fun of reading them again. I know many believe that was in this book was really true let me tell you I have experiences many a strange paranormal things in my life and I know that the unusual can and almost always happen. Were all of the stories real maybe or maybe not but it sure was fun to read by candle light. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
This book is a short collection of paranormal tales from first responders. Many never believed, but experienced an event that profoundly changed their minds. Some eerie occurrences in this book. An interesting read. P!ease note, there is a sample of a horror novel by the author at the end of the book. I would like to read more of her non-fiction works.
I love a good "real" ghost story, and this book delivers that. However, I noticed that two of the stories are very similar with minor differences, this begs the question about the author's sources. It's well written, and organized. I would recommend this book to other people who are real ghost story nerds like me
This is a great book filed with creepy and scary stories. Some will leave you a little scared, some are entertaining and all of them are chilling. Not a book to read before bed, but a good book for those who like to be scared. I would definitely recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Most of the stories in this book I've read before, revolving around the same urban legends. Even in this book, several of the chapters tell the same story in different slight variations. This book should be classed as fiction .
I love anything paranormal. Especially real life encounters from police officers, emts and anybody in that filed because most are so reluctant to talk about that stuff when you find someone willing to share it's so cool do hear what they went through.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is spooky. I particularly liked the stories where the ghosts help the living.
Hi I’m raising my hand because I have a few questions 🤚🏻 Are we really gonna ignore the fact that there are two stories in this book that are IDENTICAL 👯♀️ only with a few names changed? And are we really gonna all sit here and be like well that’s crazy the exact same thing happened twice and all agree that we believe it? Is it just me or was I expecting “supernatural 911 calls” to include actual supernatural 911 calls and not just first responders supernatural stories? And yes another question who do I contact for a refund?
