Wow loved this book, with each book the story gets better and better, now need the last instalment, will we find out what happened between Jimmy and Bertie all those years ago and will Mo get her man ……………
Wicked Women by Dreda Say Mitchell is the third book in the Big Mo Suspense series. I love this series and was hoping this book would be as good as the rest, what can I say? I loved this one just as much. Gritty Gangland with a dash of humour too, This book sees Mo with competition, a woman known as The Duchess trying to take power. Who will win this fierce violent battle of wills? Mo has a lot on her plate and there are secrets and shocks to come. Another excellent book by one of my favourite writers. She just blows you away with every book she writes. Her characters are so well fleshed out you feel like you know them. A series you need to read in order so you can get to know the characters properly. A book I was glued to from start to finish, the twists and turns kept me wanting to know more. Dreda still manages to bring unexpected twists and reveals when you least expect it. Brilliant book to match a brilliant series. Thanks to Dreda Say Mitchell for the gifted copy of the book.
Wow what can I say Dreda has done it again. I’ve loved all the characters in this series and the story just gets better and better. My only complaint is that Dreda I got no sleep last night I picked up the book and that was it I couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it. The writing is brilliant it definitely keeps you gripped from page one right to the very end. It has so much going on it’s action packed all the way. I’d love to see Big Mo, Brother Bertie, Jimmy Southpaw and Ruddy Nora brought to life in a television series.
I was gripped from the first page and transported into a different, dangerous world. But I survived, with my knee caps and heart intact. The characters are hard, but soft … apart from the Duchess, natch! The main protagonist Big Mo pulses with a ferocious energy and passion as does her granddad Jimmy Southpaw. All the characters leap off the page. What an engaging, twisty, scary, emotional story world. And the dialogue is fantastic. I’m a Big Mo Fan. Can’t wait for her next adventure,
This is a terrible book.gangster giving their empires to young girl.who in turn runs round like a maniac.it is not a very intelligent book.I enjoyed the authors early books it is like there are written by different people.
Love all Dredas books you can relate to all the characters always a little twist in the stories too to keep you on the Edge of your seat Real page turners
Another cracking instalment to the series which I couldn’t put down. A bit more lighthearted than some other gangland books but the wide range of characters and their unique personalities make this series.
It was an enjoyable read. In the other books Twinkle was around more and I missed her from this one . I was thinking as I was getting to the end that it was the final book in the series but from the way it ended, it looks like there maybe one or two more.
Whoever edited this book and proofread it did a poor job. The story is in itself engaging. However, sentencing, vocabulary, and sloppy paragraphs detract from the storyline throughout.
Loved the third book in the big no series as with book one and two I was gripped. A few twists and turns especially at the end. Always plenty of action
