The long awaited sequel to Judds Journey from C. Wayne Winkle!
When Wiley Judd returns to Denver and to Maddie’s arms, he thinks he’s settled in for a little while, at least. With Hunter and Cora nearby, everything seems good in his life.
Then he gets bored.
But just in time, he’s needed to help out in a posse chasing a bank robber, an outlaw familiar to him. He also finds out someone’s been hired to kill him, and a young man is asking for him around town.
The chase to catch the bank robber gives him the break he needed from the constriction he felt in the growing city of Denver.
Then he’s asked to help out a fellow marshal, and Maddie finds out her ex-husband is out to get her.
With all these things going on, Judd never thinks about the betrayal that’s about to happen.
A short 77 page book. Glad I got it free on Kindle!
Boy, if each of these books in this series is this short (77 pages), I ought to breeze right through them. I am glad they all live close in the same area so we can still hear about all the characters. I guess Madelyn is the only one that could really see the betrayers true colors. Short book, short review!
Good writing, action and suspense but ending depends on another sequel..unfair to the reader but a ploy to buy the next book. Also didn't like the same issue of the watcher again which will have to be followed up which means scenario in at least 3 books.
