KT Parker was a sorry excuse for Prince Charming, but one look at Megan’s little sister, and he felt the weight of the tin crown perched on his head. It was too bad that Megan couldn’t see him the way her sister did, but she didn’t want a prince to save her, especially if that prince was him. Something kept pulling him toward her, but she kept pushing him away. She wasn’t buying his hype, and she sure wasn’t buying his concert tickets.
Megan represented everything good in his world, but she wasn’t his. Their story wasn’t made for fairytales, but that wouldn’t stop him from trying to win her over. They may butt heads, but sometimes the best music was filled with clashing notes.
Emily Robertson’s creativity started early in life on stage. Now instead of theatre, she spends her time creating worlds on the page for others to enjoy. As an avid reader, she enjoys reading New Adult and Contemporary Romance as much as she does writing them. When her dog isn’t keeping her company in her office, she might be anywhere. She’s recently learned all about baseball when her son took up the sport, playing mom taxi for one of the many activities that’s going on, or binging on some reality TV show she can’t get enough of.

This is the second book in the Love and Harmony series that follows the rock band Innominate. This time it is KT’s story and you can’t help but love him. After getting on the band’s social media page he seen that a girl had asked him to Prom and also saw that there were all kinds of mean things said about Maddie which is exactly why KT wanted to take her to her Prom. He had a soft spot for the underdog only because unknownst to everyone, KT was that underdog growing up. No one would have guessed everything he had went through as a boy and it wasn’t something that he wanted let out.
It just so happened that Maddie has an older sister, Meggie who became an outcast herself after moving to small town USA. If weren’t from this town and related to everyone, you would never be accepted. KT had a great time with Maddie at her Prom but it was her sister that he had a hard time convincing that he wasn’t the devil in disguise. Meggie was still in the small town only because she was protecting and waiting for her sister to graduate so they both could move away from this hateful town.
The way KT had to for once convince a girl to go out with him was sweet and the way he went about it was pretty ingenious. He had to work to get Meg to agree because Meg had put up some pretty big walls around her heart from what had happened to her that she didn’t trust anyone to get close to her heart again.
I loved KT and Meg’s story because they both had a lot to overcome and it was great seeing them trying to run the gauntlet of trying to make something happen. Their backstory was sad and explained a lot as to the people they now were. On the funny spectrum you meet Phyllis who is an older lady in a bed and breakfast who KT met when he was in town trying to get Meg to go on a date with him. I absolutely loved this lady and Ms. Robertson did a great job bringing some humor for us to enjoy. I can’t wait to read more on the guys from the band.
I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.
KT and Megan nearly broke me! Omg their story is one that will make you laugh and cry! Their banter and fire keeps the push and pull going until they both fall! But past demons on both parts pulls them apart! Only the truth and an open heart can fix them and boy when the boys of the band fall they fall hard!
This is book two in The Love and Harmony Series and it is KT Parker and Megan's story. KT is part of the band called Innominate and when he sees that someone needs a prom date he decides to help but what he didn't expect was for it to totally change his life. Megan is very protective of her younger sister Maddie so when KT shows up to be Maddie's prom date Megan is determined to make sure that her sister is safe and having a good time after all Megan has heard about his reputation with women throwing themselves at him and she didn't want or need him even though she didn't like her own reaction to him so she kept him at arm's length to show that she didn't want or need him. KT and Megan were so different from each other but there chemistry and connection was strong but where would it all end as he was leaving soon. Omg I love this book so much and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series. There are twists and turns that you don't see coming and that is why it is such a page turner and I couldn't put it down. Emily Robertson is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed the first book the Love and Harmony series, but Dissonance totally blew me away. You know when you finish a story and you just have all the 'feels' because it was THAT good, this is exactly what Dissonance did to me. I'm a huge fan of Emily Robertson and this one just topped my favorite of hers.
KT and Meghan deserved so much and I don't think I've ever pulled harder for a couple to be together. It was enjoyable as well as heartbreaking watching the two of them grow, not only as a couple, but into adulthood. It's about more than just KT being a rockstar and Meghan being the preacher's daughter. Life lessons and the struggles make us who we are and those very things are what molded KT and Meghan into memorable characters that you can't help but to love.
The story itself was fulfilling and very complete. Robertson didn't miss a single thing and I honestly didn't want it to end. The writing is superb and those intros for every chapter are the absolute neatest things. They give the story depth, a unique way to jump right in.
Gosh, I could go on and on about this book because there's truly something that I feel everyone can take from it. Dissonance is deserving of so much more than five stars!
Dissonance by Emily Robertson a five-star read that will bring harmony to your life. This is the second book in the Love and Harmony series we see more of the rock band innominate and they go from strength to strength, if book three is half as good as the first two it will bring more joy to my life and a lot more shacking as well if I’m a lucky girl. This time it’s the turn of KT Parker to tell us his story, and what a story he has a smooth roll to his hips and talents that blow many a woman away, but there is so much more to him than meets the eye, and one tweet will show everyone that. But most of all that one tweet will make one young girls dream prom and show her big sister that smooth surfaces can have lots of ripples underneath. Megan is one determined lady, she will make sure her little sister Maddie doesn’t get star-struck and do something she regrets but can the same be said about her? what a pair, enemies to lovers always has a sweet taste and none come sweeter than this. Thank you Emily Robertson you have once again blown me away.
This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone, I was sucked straight into the story and was taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions and spat out at the end. The story follows KT and Megan, both have moments of highs and lows in this story, some bring a tear to your eye, I was fully invested in them as a couple and was rooting for them to get their happy ever after from the start, I loved KT, he had a rough start to life but did the best with what he had, he was also a bit swoon worthy at times, Megan was the perfect match for KT. She wasn’t bothered about his fame and even hated him a little bit! He really had his work cut out for him to show her how wrong about him she was and also to penetrate the walls around her heart. The story flows well and keeps you on the edge of your seat, I loved the background characters, especially Phyllis and her grabby hands!! This is another great read from this author, I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

K.T. wasn’t always the successful confident star that he is now so when he receives a social media request from Maddie asking him to take her to her prom and sees that she is being ridiculed there is no way that he could say no.
Megan is Maddie’s older sister and questions why K.T. is doing this as she has learnt if something looks to good to be true it usually is. She would do anything to shield her sister from hurt and has no interest in getting to know the man behind the image.
K.T. makes Maddie’s prom a magical experience but it is her sister Megan that has him intrigued. When fate steps in and he finds a way to spend time with her he is willing to do whatever is necessary to show her the man he really is but with both of their pasts will they ever be able to fully open up and trust other?
I really enjoyed this story and the secondary characters were a hoot. I can’t wait to read more about the members in the band. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Reading about Megan and KT was great! I enjoyed the ride that they took on finding their groove in their relationship. When the book begins we pick up right where Encore left. KT is going to prom with the girl, Maddie. He has a great time. Durning his visit he encounters her sister Megan. Megan has had a rough childhood being the preachers daughter. She’s closed off and protects her heart fiercely. She wants only the best for her sister and nobody and I mean nobody will get on the way of that. KT has his own past he’s hidden. Can these two find a way to work through their hurts? I enjoyed reading their journey. I liked how this book just went right along with the previous time frame from book 1. We get to catch up on past characters and see some of the storylines I think are building for future books. I do wish we had more of an ending for this book. Knowing how Emily is writing this series is what gives me peace that this issue will resolve in the next book though for me. She follows in present time. Enjoy!
This is Book 2 in the Love and Harmony series focusing on the rock band, Innominate. This one starts off with KT Parker accepting a request to go to prom with Maddie. He had seen her request on social media and saw the way people treated her because of it. So he wanted to make sure he put her in a good situation. Actually, he has a great time. And even better, he gets to meet Maddie’s older sister, Megan.
Megan had a rough life and keeps herself closed off from getting hurt. She is protective of her sister. And she doesn’t trust easily. KT fully understands all of that since he had a similar rough time, which is why he responded to Maddie’s request so readily. But KT is very interested in Megan. Winning her over would not be easy. He will have to prove to her that she can trust him. Is he willing to put in that work for her? Will she see that he’s serious about winning her heart?
This was a sweet story with likable characters. Grab your copy and see how it all works out for everyone.
We first met KT Parker in the Love and Harmony series first book, Encore. Many of us didn't really like him but that was before we understood and really got to know him. Dissonance is KT's book and wow, if we had known what kind of man KT really is, we might have been nicer in our thoughts about him. I went into this book, thinking there's no way Emily is going to be able to make KT into a hero but with her talent, I should have known, if anyone could, she could. And so it is with that thought, I say I LOVE KT PARKER!!
And Megan is just the challenge KT needed. If she had been the slightest bit less that who and what she was, it just wouldn't have worked. She was the challenge KT needed to let his self shine and boy, did she challenge him! It was wonderful to read their love story unfold and hang on when they went over the speed bumps and around the curves - the road to true love never is straight.
The one thing that stopped me from giving this book 5 wonderful stars was the ending. It's just my opinion but I did not like it. It felt incomplete but I'm hoping like with Austin and Shelby's story from Encore, Emily will continue KT and Megan's story in the books to come and I will finally find my satisfaction with their story.
KT Parker decided to go to the prom with Megan's little sister and then there was something about Megan that made him want to stay and find out more about her. Megan wants nothing to do with KT but she can't deny the pull she feels towards him. In this push and pull who will come out the winner? Can I say I love this series. After reading Encore I knew I needed more of these characters. This author knows how to make her characters jump off the page and into your heart. KT and Megan's story was simply amazing and I loved that as a reader I got more of these crazy characters that I fell in love with in Encore. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Books and music are almost the most enthralling thing for me yet. This book was fantastic and I know other readers are going to love it too.
“He wasn’t meant to have anyone, much less someone like Megan.”
I knew the minute KT agreed to be a fan’s prom date I was gonna love him. (This isn’t a spoiler. It happens in the Prologue.) KT might claim he’s no Prince Charming but deep down he has the instincts and heart to be. He and Megan were sizzling from the very start. She called him on his BS and was unimpressed by his fame. Of course both are hiding buckets of pain, breaking my heart repeatedly. To me it just goes to show how strong they are.
I’m not going to tell you the plot. The blurb is enough and it will be much more enjoyable if you don’t know beforehand what’s going to happen. I’ll just promise you the HEA is there and leave it at that. This is my first book by Emily and I plan to read more, starting with the rest of the books in this series.

No one ever expected anything from a random prom date request to flip KT's life off it's axis. He sure didn't when he accepted and especially when he meets her older sister. Megan doesn't trust him, period. Yet her entire family, and the small community she lives in thinks he walks on water. He finds himself deeply intrigued with the one woman who won't give him the time of day. Far more than just a challenge when an opportunity arises that forces her to get to know him. Why does it take her so long to realize that if a man like that chose to take her socially awkward sister to prom, he couldn't be that bad? Loved this slow burn and was rooting for these two long before it was obvious. Missed the first book but didn't feel lost in any way, so standalone works either way. Sweet love story with a fair share of angst, misunderstanding and finding out the truth.
TK Parker of Innominate had a very different start in life to what Megan thought. She was convinced he'd been some rich kid with a privileged background, joined the band and life was all a bed of roses for him.
Megan struggled with being the preacher's daughter and everyone expecting that she was all high and mighty and were waiting for her to fall from grace.
Two people who were very different to people's perceptions but when they met, they clicked together. Even though Megan fought against it and guarded her heart carefully.
Lovely story of how you have no control of what the heart desires, no matter how hard you fight it.
KT sees a social media post and takes Maddie to her prom. She was getting haters after her post and he wanted to make sure she had a good time, he had been in a similar situation so he wanted to make it right. While he is doing his good deed he meets her sister Megan. He falls instantly for Megan but she is not easy to trust. This is a great story with a wonderful story line. It was very emotional for me, and I loved the ending. The characters were great together and their bantering and flirting was written and it was believable. They had depth, and I had empathy with Megan and Maddie. Great story.

Loved this book! I enjoyed KT's story more so than Austin's because I think Megan was much more real. Her fears about KT's intentions toward her were understandable and relatable, and I just felt a stronger connection to her as a character. KT was just edgy enough to fulfill the role he was playing as a rock star but remained close to his roots and where he came from as a person. There was just the right amount of swoon-worthy charm from KT and Megan didn't make it too easy for him to capture her. I wanted these two to work out any issues they had, and I can't say that for all the books I've read.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'm a big fan of Emily's writing and thoroughly enjoyed the second book in the Love and Harmony Series. Dissonance is a great title that leads straight into a great book. KT has a great attitude, the rock star who still doesn't mind poking fun at himself with a past he really wished didn't exist. When he says yes to a prom request he really likes the family but it is the big sister Meg who dismisses him that really captures his attention. The course of true love never runs smoothly but KT does something I didn't see coming and grows as a person before he flys off to talk to Meg and she is already on her way to him. The apologies are great and so is the ending.
This book is the 2nd in the Love and Harmony series that follows members of the band Innominate. I liked the first book, but love this one so much more! This is KT’s story and you can’t help but fall for him, despite his bad boy image he has a heart of gold, evident by the way he agrees to go to prom with a socially awkward teen. The story gets better when he falls for said teens older sister who for reasons we come tomfind our later, has her heart closed off especially to the “bad boy” she thinks is KT. I couldn’t put this down and hope their story continues on in another book in the series!
I liked this second book in this series. You can read them separately but the story will mean so much more if you read them in order because it continues the other characters’ stories. This story mostly focuses on KT and Megan. He meets Megan when he agrees to take her sister to prom. They have both had issues in their past that make relationship difficult but hopefully they stick it out because I love these two together.

I like the writing style. I like that we get to see secondary characters like Austin and Shelby and Maddie. I did not read the first book, but that did not affect my ability to enjoy this one. I still wish I had read book 1 first. I like KT. I like even more that he grows during this story. I like the chemistry. I like that he has to work for Megan. I really like Megan. Sometimes you just need to slow your roll and communicate and think before jumping. Nice story. 3.5 stars

DISSONANCE is book 2 in the "Love and Harmony" series and I think it is important to read book 1 first. There is a thread that flows from Book 1 to Book 2.
This is KT's story. We learn about his past and it helped me understand the family dynamic of the band better. I wasn't a huge fan of the female lead, but warmed up to her as the story progressed.
I would consider this be on the clean side of romance, more New Adult which I had to keep reminding myself of.
Dissonance is the second book in the Love and Harmony series. Can be read as a standalone, however I would start with the first book Encore as the characters are in eachothers stories. I enjoyed the story and how it progressed. I liked Megan and KT. They were relatable, and they had a good connection towards eachother. I enjoyed the repartee between the band members too. Got to say Wil had my laughing more than once. This is a great story, and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Laughter and tears make the best book and Dissonance by Emily Robertson has both!
KT wants Megan but she want nothing to do with him! KT is pulling out all the stops to win her over in this heartwarming story! Full of great chemistry and all the feels, Dissonance is a great addition to the Love and Harmony series.

KT and Megan totally blew me away. This romance had so many obstacles that they had to overcome before they could reach their HEA. You couldn't help rooting for them the whole time!. Megan is so lovely, and KT is so sweet and has such a big heart. This Love and Harmony series so far has been so entertaining and enjoyable to read!
I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
I’m loving this series and this is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and this is KT’s and Megan’s story. KT is contacted by a girl on social media asking if he will take her to the prom so KT with his big heart does and when he meets his dates older sister it changes his life but Megan isn’t going to be so easy on him. I loved this story and the banter between these two it was very chuckle worthy and I definitely recommend this book.
I loved book 2 in the Love and Harmony series. KT and Megan were such beautiful characters. Each struggled with relationships but found something special in each other. I enjoyed the way the author wove their story in with Austin and Shelby from book 1, and can’t wait to read Nate’s story next.

The 2nd book in the Love and Harmony Series was everything I could ever ask for in a book. People that have walked troubled paths in life that come together thru love, misunderstandings, ups and downs that everyone in this world has but comes out on the side of love. An awesome book....looking forward to the next one. I volunteered an honest review for this ARC.
After reading the first book in the Love and Harmony Series, I knew I would have to follow this series about a band named Innominate and their bandmates. KT's story did not disappoint. Emily Robertson knows how to develop her characters & make you want to see where their journey leads you. I received this book as an ARC.
A wonderful story that captured my heart. It was a story that explores characters who have had a troubled past and one who wants to do what he feels is the right thing. One thing leads to another and he becomes fascinated by her sister. It was a lovely story that I enjoyed reading.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
This was an okay story but I didn’t feel connected to the characters and that made it hard to be invested in the story. My favorite part was Austin and Shelby getting married in Vegas and I would have liked to be as happy about KT and Megan.
