This was a cute read.
Knox was adorable, and Pierce was very sweet.
Again, not quite Christmassy enough for my liking, but a nice story anyway.

Didn’t get past the first page. When am I going to learn to not half way read the description of the book. I know they’re very in right now, but I don’t like Daddy books. They just give me the creeps. I love age gap, but calling someone Daddy just doesn’t do it for me.

Pierce and Knox were memorable characters. Very cute. This had great potential to be an enjoyable Christmas novella. I was a bit thrown off with the editing issues though. There were quite a bit, and it was too distracting for me. Lots of typos, wrong words being used, and the transitions were all over the place. They’d be at home one sentence, and then at work the next. It was all just throwing me off. I stuck it out with every word though because I do mean it that Pierce and Knox are great characters. I liked reading about them.

Finished reading at 54% through no fault on the books part. Seriously this isn't a bad book, so sweet and a nice slow burn into the daddy kink. But I lost interest and haven't picked this up in over a week so time to call it quits.

At the moment, everywhere I look, we’re being bombarded with Christmas (mostly romance) novels and holiday reads, however, I couldn’t (and still can’t) find any that (would) feature queer main characters that aren’t basically smut. However, I did somehow stumble upon this novella and decided to give it a go as the cover looked promising. It was an okay story that has potential and would be interesting as a novel, it just needs more “fluff”, more descriptions, details, better chapter transition, better plot development and characters that aren’t flat (it has all these “problems” because it’s a novella, and not a novel); somehow it all feels very rushed. And yes, this too was basically porn at times and it revealed to me stuff (kinks?) that people are apparently into that I had no idea were even a thing (and would prefer to have kept it this way), but you do you “littles”, I guess.

Too short to see any depth to the characters or for me to connect with them. There wasn't enough age play - only one age play scene - and minimal content in the way of seeing Knox as a little. I did hope for more - I wanted to get to know the characters better, wanted to see them interacting in their roles, see Pierce grow as a Daddy, wanted more exploration of their relationship. Nevertheless, this was a very sweet holiday read.

I need more. This was very sweet. I loved the idea of neighbors getting together over cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I loved how it was kind of fake, but not really. I thought both characters were ideal in that one told the other everything he needed and the other took the time to figure out how to be perfect in a new role.

I've really enjoyed Della Cain and this was a great short for the holiday.

At least two spots where the POV was backwards, which meant I had to stop and figure out what the author intended. I like her stories ok overall, but this problem is fairly typical, which is also hella annoying. Taking a break from her again...

A enjoyable read with some kinky fun. Good family shenanigans and a journey of discovery makes the read engaging and with some good chemistry.

These two are so cute together
Knox, all he wants for Christmas is a daddy. It has been awhile since he had a Daddy but the problem was he had a big crush on his straight neighbour Pierce. When his sister rings to inform him that she is getting married which is totally out of the blue! Knox had not even heard she had a boyfriend. When she tries to set him up with a date for the wedding with her future brother-in-law Knox finds himself telling her that he already has a boyfriend which is a total lie. So now he has to find a fake boyfriend. But first he has bigger issues to get over because he’s just found out that he ordered a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving and he’s got his parents coming tomorrow. Knox knows nothing about cooking what on earth is he going to do?? That’s when His stunningly gorgeous next door neighbour is walking his way with a parcel for him.. He finds himself blurting out if he knows how to defrost the turkey for tomorrow. Pierce loves cooking so of course he knows what he’s doing and find himself helping knox’s out.
Pearce has always been interested in both sexes he has only dated women but he’s always been interested in men, and he is very interested in his sexy neighbour Knox’s. so when he gets a chance to help Knox's out and spend more time with him he quickly agrees. And when he hears about what’s happened with his sister Pierce Find himself offering to be his fake boyfriend. After all it’s one way to get to know him and see what his feelings really are for him. But when Knox starts talking about wanting a daddy it opens his eyes to a whole new world. Could he be that for Knox??
There is something incredibly cute about these two. without even knowing it Pierce is already a daddy. He can’t help but take care of people and he will do anything to keep Knox happy.

This was a cute holiday story. Knox is a little without a Daddy and when his sister springs a Christmas wedding on him, she tries to set him up with the groom's brother. He lies and says he has a boyfriend. Ack. When his hot straight (uh huh) neighbor ends up helping hapless Knox cook Thanksgiving dinner for his parents, he agrees to be his fake boyfriend and insists they meet once a week to get to know each other and also teach Knox to cook.

Knox is very upfront about his kink, thinking that Pierce is straight. Pierce has always dated women because he thought it was easier, but he's been too overbearing (daddy-like) for most. He becomes intrigued by the idea and they become closer. Going home for the wedding with Pierce pulling the disaster out of the fire, they grow closer (one bed hotel room).

I liked that they got to know each other through cooking and talking before jumping into it. Also that Knox was open about what he likes and how Pierce took the time to find out more about it and test the waters. Now Knox's family/sister would drive me around the bend. The sister was a total flake who kept changing the wedding details until the last minutes and it was big and crazy. I come from a huge extended family, but I never remember it being that insane. :-) Also it was nice how accepted Knox's family were of his relationship (gay - not daddy/little).

I would have been curious to see how Pierce's family took it given that while he was bisexual, he'd only ever dated women so they were likely surprised. But on the whole it was a sweet Christmas story and I do love the cover.

I'm really loving Della Cain's daddy/little romances. So far I haven't been disappointed and this one by far is one of the great ones. I believe I met Knox in a previous book...very briefly and I was thinking we might get a story for him...he needs a daddy. In comes his neighbor who gives off all kinds of daddy vibes. Knox recognizes the potential and sexy neighbor Pierce feels the need to take care of Knox. Their connection is sweet...they do start off with that fake relationship but its a sham...they built something more and that's what was enjoyable...them building the foundation of their daddy/little dynamic. We see some Collared members and friends which is always a treat. Everyone is good with each other and that's one of the reason why I love reading these romances by the author...so much love and acceptance. Well the guys in this one had a fantastic HEA...very storybook romance that leaves a smile on your face.

Knox was looking forward to a quiet Christmas with his family but his sister had other ideas and has announced that she is getting married but is also trying to set him up with a date for the wedding. In a panic, he tells her he already has a boyfriend and will be bringing him. However, there is a problem as he is very single and needs to find a date. When his neighbour Pierce brings him a parcel that was delivered Knox invites him to the Christmas wedding. He agrees on the condition that they have dinner together once a week until then to get to know each other. It sounds like a reasonable plan until feelings start to get in the way.

I enjoyed this story with the neighbours who became friends and then lovers then a Daddy/boy. I thought that Pierce was a lovely person who was helpful, organised and very protective of Knox. The cooking lessons were great as they killed two purposes a once. I loved the ending. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB relationship with bottles and ABDL.

It's good to be open to new experiences. Knox had an idea how he wanted to spend Christmas. Then his sister, surprised him announcing she was getting married and had the perfect date for him, her fiance's brother. Knox, prefers his privacy. Pierce, his next door neighbor, has been crusing on Knox for the past two years. He hasn't approached him, but enjoys delivering misdelivered packages. Tinsel, his cat is a character. They make a connection and Pierce is accompanying Knox home for Christmas and a wedding. Pierce had deduced Knox is a little, but doesn't know it.Pierce had not been in the kink and has a few insecurities. Knox thinks it would be nice if Pierce was a daddy. Will they get closer during their trip? Can they meet each other's needs? Is Pierce a daddy? Does him being newly bi present any roadblocks? Knox's family is absolutely delightful. The characters are a joy and the story flows well. Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Knox and Pierce have been neighbors for awhileThey are both interested in each other but neither one has made their move. Then Knox's sister calls and tells him she is getting married at Christmas. She wants to fix him up with her fiancee's twin brother for the wedding. Horrified, he tells her that he has a boyfriend already who he will bring to the wedding. Pierce overhears most of this conversation since he was waiting to give Know the box UPS left at the wrong address again. Pierce offers to be his date for the wedding but he requires that the two have a weekly date before the wedding so they can get to know each other better. Knox agrees enjoying the thought of spending more time with Pierce. As Knox gets more comfortable with Pierce, he becomes brave enough to reveal that he is a Little and he wants a Daddy. Pierce is unfamiliar with this kink but he is willing to learn for Knox.

This book is amazing! It’s Knox’s turn to find his daddy and it is quite the tale! He has a crush on his neighbor, Pierce, who happens to step in to help him out. Knox’s sister has surprised him with the announcement that she is getting married at Christmas and, to avoid being set up with her fiancé’s brother, he says he already has a boyfriend. Pierce agrees to go along and it starts them on a wonderful path of discovery. They spend weeks learning about each other and getting closer. Soon, the feelings are real and Knox is honest about what he needs and Pierce finds it’s very easy to give it to him. A year later, things are great for Knox and his Daddy and they are on their way to their happily ever after.

DNF -- Inappropriate Content . . .

Knox needs a date and, when his sister tries to set him up, he lies and says he has someone. When a neighbor comes over with an incorrectly delivered package, Knox asks him if he would be his date for a Christmas wedding. Pierce agrees but wants them to have a weekly dinner to get to know each other before the wedding.

As things move along, this story line crosses into an area that I cannot continue to read. It’s daddy/little territory with spanking, bottle feeding an adult, and I don’t even want to talk about the rest of the possibilities. Seriously, that is so far out of my realm of comfort that I had to stop reading. If it doesn’t bother you to see adults treated like little kids, use your own judgment here for whether you want to read it. I wish I had noticed this content before accepting a review copy.

Merry Faking Christmas by Della Cain is another great Daddy/little book. It's the second book in the Faking It series. Knox needs a date to his sister's wedding, and when Pierce, his neighbor, hears about it, he volunteers to help. To make it seem more authentic, they get to know each other by having a weekly date where Pierce teaches Knox how to make simple dinners. I loved how Knox bonds with Pierce's cat, Tinsel. I also loved how the more Pierce learns about being a Daddy, the more he realizes that is what he has always been. He has always been drawn to taking care of someone. I loved that they were able to get together with Sebastian and Ethan and Johnson and Kasper for Christmas. It was great seeing them again.

This was very cute. And true Della Kane style there is just as much sex as there is plot but the plot that was there was good. This is an age play book that has small amounts ABDL and Daddy / boy dynamics. It is about Knox who comes across as a little bit bratty but is actually just craving some love and attention and boundaries. When his very sexy neighbor drops off a package that was misdelivered and then something else happens that I can't quite remember but basically Knox ends up needing a fake date to a wedding and his sexy neighbor Pierce is just the guy for the job. Knox didn't expect Pierce to insist upon weekly dinners to get to know each other before the wedding and they end up falling for each other, obviously.

I do wish there was less sex and more kink in this book but it was a good read all around if you like age play and explicit scenes.

I thought that this was a fantastic book. I loved Knox and Pierce together. these two are drawn to each other and they can't deny the connection and chemistry between these two. When Knox gets himself in a bind, Pierce offers to help because Pierce can't stand to see Knox under so much pressure. Pierce and Knox fall for each other more and more until they are completely in love with each other. Now, now only do they have a road to an HEA they also have a road to travel for happy boy and Daddy. These two are really sweet and left me smiling and in the holiday spirit. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Della as a must read author.

I really enjoyed this book. When Knox's sister calls out of the blue to tell him she has a fiancé and wants to get married during Christmas, he's surprised. But then she tries to set him up with her fiancé's brother for the wedding, and he claims to have a boyfriend to get out of it. When his neighbor Pierce overhears the situation, he offers to be Knox's plus one for the wedding. I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two men. Both liked each other for a while, but neither made a move to get to know the other better, let alone ask the other out. Now with Pierce helping Knox prepare to host Thanksgiving for his parents, and being his date for a Christmas wedding, it was really sweet seeing them get to know each other better and watching their relationship grow. Loved it. 5 stars.

I have read and enjoyed all of Della Cain’s Collared series and this book, while not set at the club, definitely belongs in that series. The thing that I most enjoyed about this book about two neighbors who gradually realize that they are perfect for each other is the pace of it. Even though the main events that the book covers occur over a short period of time during Christmas I never felt like Knox and Pierce’s relationship was rushed. I also liked that Pierce was not very familiar with the idea of being a Daddy but was so willing to learn and that he was willing to let Knox lead him through this. A lovely Christmas gift from Della Cain. Thanks.

Knox and Pierce

This is a hilarious romp starting with Thanksgiving and including Christmas. I love the chemistry and the sheer fun atmosphere between Knox and Pierce. The secondary characters, including family, are engaging and terrific. The chemistry between Pierce and Knox in the the emotional world of Daddy/Little is sweet, yummy, and perfectly balanced. The age play was well-integrated it really made the emotional journey for each man that much more special. I was either smiling or laughing with this one the entire time. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

A lovely story by author, Della Cain, which takes place around the Holidays about two single men who are next door neighbors and have more in common than they realize. Knox is very much into Little Play and enjoys a Daddy who will change his diapers, give him a bottle, and read him a story. Pierce is a Daddy who knows nothing about Little Play but he knows that he has been crushing on Knox for some time. The holiday season serendipitously provides an opportunity for the two to get together and the rest is a very sweet HEA.

I enjoyed Knox and Pierce's story. Their fake relationship grew to be so much more. It was great that Pierce cared enough to pursue Knox's Little side in order for his infatuation to grow. He was a really good Daddy at heart. It was cool that Knox was so comfortable letting Pierce into his Little world. Their mutual admiration and trust led their fake relationship grow into an all encompassing love.

Enjoyable!

I liked Knox and Pierce’s story! It’s an adorable quick read. Knox isn’t nearly as bratty as expected from the first Faking It book. He just needed the right partner to bring out the sweet boy he was always meant to be. Similarly, Pierce needed the right partner to bring out the Daddy he never knew was inside of himself.

Pierce lives next door to Knox. Pierce considers himself bi/queer. Into the right gal or guy, although he has never had sex with a man. But he is attracted to Knox and wants to get to know him better. Knox thinks Pierce is sexy and hot and would love to have him as his Daddy, but thinks Pierce is straight. I liked the willingness of Pierce to go at Knox's pace and desire to be the Daddy that Knox wants and deserves. I liked how Knox was honest and open with his needs. I loved the epilogue.

Christmas Weddings

Daddy boy, fake relationship, neighbors take up this book. Knox needed a date for his sister's wedding and his hot neighbor volunteered. That's when Knox realized that Pierce was not as straight as he thought. Pierce wasn't a Daddy but he wanted to take care of Knox.
