Needing to get away from the female he’s loved for years—one who only thinks of him as a friend—Logan Lamont finally decides to travel to Edinburgh to complete his doctor’s studies, hoping the distance will help him forget his feelings. However, when Emma asks him to accompany her one last time on one of her geocaching—a modern form of “treasure hunting”—adventures, he can’t say no to her. And just as she ascends one of the mountains to locate her next clue, Logan notices the rock slide and pushes her out of the way. He’s hit, tumbles off the side, and loses consciousness right before he hits the water of the loch below.

Emma MacAllister is after the biggest find of her life, one that could set her up nicely and help her realize her dream of setting up a senior center where humans and dragon-shifters can mingle. She feels in her gut she’s close, but before she can reach the next clue, rocks fall and Logan shoves her to safety. Even though he falls into the loch, she’s able to save him. However, when he wakes up, he has no memory of anyone on Lochguard, including her.

As Emma realizes how important Logan is to her now that he can’t remember her, she starts receiving threats about certain clues and staying away, or else. But when amnesiac Logan encourages to take them on, she’s torn. However, soon she doesn’t have a choice, not if she wants to protect those she loves and convince Logan of how much she wants him as her mate.

A Pleasant addition to the series

I did not know how the author was going to use this story line and entangle it with the overall one. But leave it to an author to find a way, I thoroughly enjoyed the two mcs and even their stubborn ways.

Character breakdown;

Emma: I knew she was stubborn and set in her ways but the way she dismissed Logan kinda made me dislike her. Even after finding out her reasons for doing so, it all just sounded like a lame excuse to not fall in love. I did love her overall determination and her spunk! She was fun to read about.

Logan: I didn’t have much to say about him before but the man definitely grew on me, got to give him so much credit for going through the stuff he did for the one woman who did not reciprocate his love.

Favorite quote: "Aye, this is one memory I never want to forget. I love you, Emma Lamont. I have for years and will continue to do so for the rest of my life." She snuggled into him. "I love you, too, Logan Lamont. And no matter if you forget me again or not, I always will."

Now I like to talk about the part that I really don’t understand why it was included, I get that pnr includes, heat, emotions and sometimes a dramatic storyline. But the epilogue felt so out of place, I felt like I was reading an after thought of the over storyline. It did not fit the characters or the story, and the slight mentioned of fantasies didn’t build it up for this. I get the author wants to include more heat but it didn’t fit into the book, it was great but again I felt like I was reading a different story altogether.

Overall the book is great and I definitely enjoyed a better look into the history of the twin female dragons, I also loved that I am seeing more POC dragon shifters being included. Like please include more of them!

Compelling reading, wonderful characters and plot totally engaging read
This is a simply wonderful read and I can guarantee that like myself you will be drawn into the story completely and will not be able to put the book down until you reach the final page of this book when you will be totally blown away.
Logan who is a doctor at Lochguard has known Emma since they were both young and have been friends for years and it is fair to say that they are both attracted to each other but believed that they were not true mates and because of this fact Logan had gone on to study his doctoring further until he gained his qualifications in full,
Its fair to say that when they meet up again it is as though they have not been separated, as they go to look in some caves where he is unfortunately hit on the head and looses his memory about who he is and also who Emma is. He has no recollection of their friendship or the fact that he is a Dragon Shifter and that he has cared for Emma for most of his life and she has also cared for him just as deeply.
Emma has been helping care for Logan and has been hoping that he might regain some of his memories about the feelings for each other, about his life on Lochguard and about the fact that he is a Dragon Shifter which is extremely important to them both.
I guarantee that once you begin reading this book you will be like me and be waiting on tent- a-hooks to see if he gets his memory back….
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

The Dragon’s Memory
Who knew that geocaching could be so dangerous?
Emma MacAllister doesn’t want a mate. She saw how her mother fell apart when her dad was killed and vowed to herself never to fall in love. Emma is an IT expert for the Clan. She loves the challenge of geocaching. This geocaching challenge comes with serious prize money, enough for Emma to start on her dream project: A Dragon/Human Senior Center. A new way to have dragons and humans interact.
Logan Lamont has loved Emma for most of his life. He knows she is not his true mate. When he was nineteen years old, he decided to kiss Emma to tell her he had feeling for her. This did not end well, Emma laughed. What a blow to your ego! They have remained friends. Logan has decided to finish his medical training in Edinburgh. He needs to get away from Emma and maybe distance will help.
Emma convinces Logan along with some other dragonmen to go on one last geocaching before he leaves. They are climbing in mountains directed by GPS. As a nurse he can help if there are injuries. Unfortunately, Logan is the one injured. A big rock has become loose and Logan protects Emma with the big rock hitting him in the head and sending him dropping into the Loch below.
Emma saves him, barely. Logan has with a traumatic brain injury and cannot remember who he is, if he has family and Emma. What will this mean for his medical training? Can Emma help him regain his memories and not realize what her friend really means to her? Did someone or someones sabotage the mountain to stop the geocaching?
This was a good book. I learned about geocaching and GPS treasure hunting. It does seem intriguing, add in Lochguard Dragons and you have a winner! Action packed.

I didn’t think there was enough of the two main characters spending time together. The characters grew up together and already know each other, I get that. But the reader doesn’t know either one of them, so more should have been put in to show their relationship. There was very little focus on a romance for a romance book. I personally don’t like the new direction Jessie Donovan is going- into kink. Not my sort of thing. In fact, I thought her books (especially the Tahoe spin off series) was already too “spicy”. I think if she wants to write kink then it should be with a brand new series and not start it up with a well established existing series that readers already have a long investment in. We already know what to expect and to put kink into it, when existing readers may not like reading it, is going to throw many people for a loop. It came out of left field. Of course, it’s her book, her series, and she can do what she wants, but I think she is going to put a lot of her current fans off and lose them. She has already stated online that she doesn’t care what the readers think anymore and is just going to do things her way from now on. I’m not sure that’s the best business decision, but again, it’s her books, her decision. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I did like the geocaching part of the story. I’ve always wanted to try it though haven’t been able to due to health issues.

The Dragon’s Memory Lochguard Highlands Dragons Book 10
Jessie Donovan

The MacAllister’s always seem to be in the thick of things on Lochguard. With several siblings, one of them is usually involved in some fashion or another! This time its Emma. Emma and Logan Lamont have been friends for a very long time. They can count on each other for help, all they have to do is ask. But this time Logan is very frustrated about how things are going, or not going as it were. One last excursion, and Logan is off to finish his studies. But something really bad happens. Emma’s terrified she’s allowed Logan to get hurt really badly. Logan wakes up not knowing who he is or what’s happened!

As Logan begins to deal with his memory, Emma realizes, maybe for the first time, she has feelings for him, real deep feelings. That she’s been pushing him away! Things continues to escalate, and Logan is acting different then he’s been in the past. Logan keeps trying to tempt Emma, to give up and give in!. Emma realizes maybe she’s not so immune after all! The treasure hunt they are on has twists and turns no one has seen coming! Will Emma be able to resist? Can she let him walk away?

Emma & Logan

Logan and maybe both of them had feelings for each other for years. Yet there were things that kept them from pursuing those feelings. Finally, he left. Now he was back to train under the Lochguard doctor. Can they renew their friendship at least? During a contest where winning could mean her creation of a center for elder humans and dragons to mix their lives, he's assigned to go with her team as the medical person. Strangely enough, he's the one to be seriously injured.

How serious you'll need to read to find. I will say that healing changes things. She admits some baggage and he shows more strength. Will they find what they lost?

I loved the story. Watching Logan's growth was a treat. Seeing Emma see things from another side was touching. We get to spend some time with our favorite characters as well as the main ones. Still, Ms. Donovan isn't gonna let her characters get off scot-free. There is danger from anti-dragon enemies that can't be ignored. There are other enemies as well. Besides the personal issues, they will have new enemies you will figure out as the story progresses. Plenty of steam, great dragon conversations, and a story you don't want to miss.

Back in Lochguard and we get another MacAllister book! Emma has only ever wanted one thing: to never fall in love. She watched her mother spiral for years after losing her mate and Emma never wanted to be that vulnerable. She never wanted to love someone and face the pain of losing them. But everything changes when her best friend is hurt. Logan has loved Emma for so long. But has stayed in the background and accepting that she doesn't feel anything for him. However, that doesn't mean he wouldn't do anything for her. Including shoving her from harm's way and getting hurt himself. Logan ends up with a head injury and forgets who he is and everyone he knows. His dragon is even silent. In result, a side of him that he had long buried after watching those he loves leave, emerges. A side that may not remember Emma but knows she is the one for him. Emma will be forced to confront the feelings she once had for Logan. And if that isn't enough, when Logan got hurt Emma was on a geocaching hunt where the prize will help her clan. But things get complicated when the DDA and the dragon hunters get involved. Emma will need the help of Logan and those of her clan to find the prize. Loved this story! Logan and Emma were such great characters and of course it is always fun seeing characters from past books. You can't help but cheer for Logan to finally get the woman he loved and hope that he can get his memories back. And for Emma to finally see what was always right in front of her and worth fighting for. Great story! Can't wait for the next one.

Logan has over Emma 4ever. Even though things went bad when they were kids he was always there 4 her no matter what. He decided this was the last x 2 help her with her crazy ideas then he will leave 4 a while 2 try 2 4get about her. But things went a little sideways when expected things happen and he looses his memory and don't understand things like he should. When a human comes with info and says things r going 2 happen with his help 2 finish things everyone thought he lost his mind but decided 2 give him the benefit of the doubt. When things really go bad where the hell is he? There's a few unanswered questions I have but overall it was awesome that even though she has major fears she wants 2 try and get over them 4 her best friend. Will he get his memory back or will he have 2 live a new life? Read and find out u won't b disappointed. It's awesome!!

Emma and Logan get a chance to start over when he is injured and loses his memory.

They both are impacted by early loses in their lives. It is hard for them to let go and take a chance on love. Their dragons are definitely not interested in waiting any longer.

I enjoyed seeing the dynamics change in their relationship. He really puts it on the line and opens up his heart to her. The epilogue was quite a surprise.

As with the other books in the series, you get to visit with other characters from earlier books which I thoroughly enjoy.

You also get hints of new couples to come.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I love a good shifter romance, and as always Jessie does not disappoint! I've read many of her dragon shifter books over the years and was very excited when I discovered she was releasing a new one!

I absolutely loved Emma & Logan's story. Though not truly a second chance at love story, it had that feeling. Friends to lovers always makes my heart happy, and this one had the fun adventure you would expect in a shifter tale. I was so happy to see them get the happily ever after they deserved.

I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Emotional roller-coaster full of adventure, sizzling heat and nail biting suspense.

Emma is terrified of falling in love, so much so that she has kept her best friend Logan at arms length their entire life. Logan has lost people he loves and has had to deal with abandonment so the last thing he wants to do is lose Emma too. So Logan has kept his feelings to himself. However after an accident that causes Logan to lose his memory neither Emma nor Logan can deny the attraction between them. Will Emma let him into her heart?

I am not into voyerism/bondage smut scenes and personally grosses me out. As such the last chapter kinda killed the good mood of book and why have less stars.
In end tho do like how Lamont & Emma finally work their way to each other.

As always it's great being back in Lochguard. I really enjoyed Logan and Emma story. I won't say it's a second chance at love story but it's kinda of is and I'm a totally sucker for those kind of stories. Both Logan and Emma had there own emotional baggage that they were carrying. I'm just glad that in the end everyone got the HEA they deserved. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.

thrilling

Such a fantastic dragon book in the Lochguard Highland Dragon series. An edge of the seat read, needs to be read in the slow manner as it’s certainly not for a speedy reader as you might miss any important moments and details. Can be full of twists and turns and especially suspense, secrets and surprise moments. I love these characters and always left wanting to learn on how new or old relationships are developed and still developing.

Emma and Logan have been friends since childhood. Logan has loved Emma for years but they aren’t true mates and Emma has never wanted a mate. Logan decides to leave the clan to start his medical studies but things happen and he loses his memory instead. Will Emma finally admit her feelings for Logan or will he move on?

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed Logan and Emma's story. I've loved all of the author's Stone fire and Lochguard series. I just wish we didn't have wait so long between books. it was nice to see skyhunters characters incluxed. I do wish some of the odd characters would have follow ups like the dragon man with two dragon heads. I always highly recommend these stories.

Extremely great

I loved how in this story it inhabits alot of friendly interactions. They were very good friends to start off with. To the point of being best friends. That lead to them being pretty close when they finally became married. It ended up with them having a very good marriage together. Them still being pretty close as a married couple.

Great Read

As a fellow geocacher, it was cool having something else I enjoy doing besides reading incorporated into a story. Some of those puzzle caches can be really hard to figure out. Give me a quick grab & FTF... can't wait for Iris' story.
