What fun. The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. The pictures are big enough to see each detail. There are 29 pictures. That is a lot of flowers to pick and your drawings will make a lovely bouquet for the wall. The book suggests you can draw anywhere your imagination will take you. Small notebooks, large notebooks, driveways and even sidewalks. Enjoy your garden.

This method of line-by-line drawing is what I wanted to draw when I was a kid, but have since learned is not the sort of drawing practice that improves artistic skill over time. I can see this book as more of a craft project but not as something to do with kids who are genuinely interested in getting into art. The general advice in the beginning and end is somewhat useful, though.

Sweet little book about flowers

The botanical line drawings are clear and easy to follow. They would be excellent for crafting when an outline is required.

I realize this was a how to book for kids, and I am an adult. However, starting a new hobby as an adult and loving florals I decided to pick it up. I didn’t find it inspiring at all.
