About the author

After the age of thirty, Martha realized that her life as a terran was not what it was cracked up to be. Knowing that there was more to life, she embarked on a journey that has tested her resolve, heart, and soul many times over. It continues to do so at this very moment.

She’s astounded that anyone takes any author bio seriously. Why would anything that’s written here be believed when authors are known to invent stuff out of thin air? Martha likes to thank the ether and her higher-self for the enlightenment and odd sense of wonderment about life, the universe, and what exactly she was thinking when she wrote that one obscure story that no one has yet to read, but her husband has heard about.

The oddity of society, particularly the book community has flabbergasted her, making her curious about how a em-dash or ellipses can make people think that AI had any hand in aiding an author to write. She could be sharing complete truths, complete lies, or a mixture in this very bio as you continue to read this. Why are you still reading this, she asks in your ear as if she’s sitting right next to you, right now? Does anyone really care if she’s telling the truth, I mean, come on, she’s an author for God sake? Books are written to pull you from reality with fantasy, though there is much of reality in books to some extent. Where was she going with this thought? I don’t know, don’t remember, so let us continue. What were we discussing? Oh, right, Martha Sweeney’s author bio.

She would like to sum up with this single thought: believe what you want about anything, even her. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. Whether you think you’re wrong or right, you’re right either way, so why should she care what’s written in her bio because we both know you just want a story that makes you feel. That’s the purpose of books or any form of entertainment. It’s to feel something. She hopes your emotions are kicked in the ass one way or another. If you like a character, she’s content. If you hate a character, she’s content. All in all, she made you feel.

If you’re still reading this, Martha is quite impressed and is giving you an astral projected hug and hopes to meet you in person one day, or not. According to Martha, we’ve already meet if you understand entanglement.

If you are literally thinking, or saying out loud WTF?, Martha wants you to know that very same thought has entered her mind at least twenty times while dictating to me what to write. Whom am I, you ask, that’s not important. My roll is simply to write Martha’s author bio and let you know that she’s a multi-genre author, so there’s a chance you might be interested and like at least one of her currently published books. 3.5 Snowed in Stars

Simone and Wes have been circling one another for a while now while their best friends hook up at a local bar. Wes has always been interested in her but for some reason Simone thinks he's a player and keeps pushing him away. Until one night things change, in a funny not so funny way....you'll understand once you read the book (not going to give you any spoilers).

Simone and Wes become Snowed in at his apartment for a few days and during this time I wanted to knock some sense into her. I have to say that I enjoyed the second half much more than the first, I found Simone annoying and childish during most of the first half of the book but I really liked Wes! Simone had an inner monologue that at times would escape her and be rude.

I am totally split on this book, while I did like it I didn't love it, at times I didn't even enjoy it because of Simone not acting like the twenty-seven year old that she is, she was acting more like a sixteen year old and I really dislike when that happens because it takes me out of the story at hand and I have to remind myself she is not in high school and Wes is not a creeper hitting on a teenager.

If you enjoy stories that have the couple snowed in, or in a forced proximity, I would recommend this book to you because there is always a chance you will enjoy it more than I did....and since there are several 5 star reviews on Goodreads it's quite possible you will.

4 Star review Snowed In With Him by Martha Sweeney
Martha Sweeney is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across her books before; this may have been my first book but it won’t be my last.
Wes and Simone run in the same group of friends and Simone has always believed that Wes is a real player. But is he? There is so much more to Wes than he lets people see and it was entertaining to watch the layers be peeled off when he and Simone end up snowed in together.
Simone is shocked once she gets to know him better and the relationship that developed was a push and pull as they really got to know the true person. It was entertaining to watch them realize their feelings whilst the banter between them was witty and the chemistry sizzled.
All in all a feel good book that left me with a smile on my face.

Simone and Wes have been mixing in the same circles for a while after their best friends hook up but this couple are in complete denial of their feelings until they end up snowed in together.
Simone believes Wes is a player and when she wakes up in his bed she thinks the worst but we don’t always see what right in front of our eyes and as she try’s her best not to fall for his games she finds herself actually falling for the man. So is Wes the player she thinks he is……..
What follows is a fun, flirty, entertaining read that will appeal to a wide range of audiences and you are going to have to read the book to get the rest of this story. I really enjoyed this read, the characters are easy to like, the banter is witty and it really put a bit of magic into the upcoming holiday season.

I enjoyed this story. Simone had a lot to work through and gain more self-confidence. With encouragement, she finally brought out the truth of her past. Wes was determined and never gave up on her. He was very romantic, yet somewhat of an alpha. I loved the support of her family and true friends.

This book is smoldering hot!! Simone wakes up in Wes the Players bed and is snowed in with him to top it off. She is trying to not to fall for his games. But is he really the player she thinks he is. This book is amazing. Rooting for you Mr. Player!

Simone gets snowed in with Wes who she thought was a player. Unbeknownst to her and also not wanting to admit it once she finds out that he is indeed not a player. Simone not only fonts her attraction to Wes, but her feelings for him as well. It took her a bit of time, but they do end up together. A happy ending indeed for them.

I loved this quick read by Martha Sweeney, Snowed in with him was hot enough it could have definitely melted all that snow. But then Simone and Wes wouldn’t have had their spicy little camp out now would they? I mean who wouldn’t want to be snowed into the apartment of a Doctor that you met at the bar, then went home with.
The other kicker is he falls for her! Once the sleepover Wes was not taking no for an answer, not in a crazy stalker way. But most of y’all like that, so. Anyways, he finds her house and tries to pronounce his love for SSimone. She's a big dumb, because she tells him no Mr. Steamy Doctor I couldn’t be with you because I'll just hurt you so I'm saving us both the heartbreak. MA’AM…..He is a doctor! Any who, she gets a pep talk from her dad so then she realizes she can have her HEA with “the white coat stays on '' then that’s what they do.
I am not much of a person who reads Christmas related books, I judge a story by its title. Soooo joking! But I am so happy I had the privilege of reading this short story, i will be looking forward to more stories by Maratha Sweeney.

Wes and Simone

Wes comes to Simone rescue when they are out at a bar with their respective friends. While she is sleeping off the effects of being drugged, a huge, city closing snowstorm hits and the two are stuck together in Wes’ apartment. Their mutual attraction combusts during their time together and eventually they cave to them. Loved the banter in the book and watching the relationship blossom. Loved this quick wintery read!

This was a cute read. I loved Wes and I really loved Simone’s inner voice. She was hilarious. Simone herself took awhile to warm up to. She was annoying at times.

Flirty, Sexy, Fun Holiday Romance. The author gave us a great storyline with characters you can’t help but root for and maybe want to bop over the head upon occasion. Simone is a homebody well ever since her breakup with her old boyfriend Owen that is. The only time she goes out on the town is when her roommate drags her out to the neighborhood bar to be her wingman. It’s at the bar she met Simon months ago. He often comes on to her but she refuses his offers, even though he’s drop dead gorgeous, because she knows he is a player. But what happens when she wakes up one morning, after a night at the bar, and finds herself at Simon’s condo and worse yet, in his bed. She has no recollection of the night before and needs to get out of there. But as luck would have it, they are in the midst of a blizzard and she’s snowed in with him. Are things as they seem? Did Simon drug her and take her home? Did she drink too much and not remember going home with him? Worse yet, did they “sleep” together and she can’t remember it? What on earth happened?

I fell in love with Simon and Simone. Their banter and crazy situations had me smiling throughout. Especially when you add in a crazy roommate and a meddling family. Great Holiday Romance that this reader highly recommends grabbing up. You won’t be sorry you did.

This is a first read for me by this author and I loved reading every minute of it. I will definitely read more books by this author for sure. It's a fast paced sexy read that you don't want to miss at all.

Once i started I couldn't stop, I just kept turning page after page and before I knew it, it was done. It's action packed with so much. It's a rollercoaster ride. With wonderful characters, great storyline and excellent plot.

Simone is our fmc and wes is our mmc. Their chemistry is undeniable. If only Simone would let herself feel. Wes has liked Simone for a while. And she thinks he's a player so keeps him at arms length.

Wes comes to her rescue one night when she's been drugged, he takes her back to his to sleep it off. But of course, she thinks the worst..they end up snowed in together. And things get a little heated. As soon as she can leave she bolts hiding behind her feelings for Wes.

Will she hide from her feelings? Will she give into them? Does wes not give up and show her how they are meant to be together?

Grab the book and find out. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!

I adored this sweet book by Martha Sweeney. Wes and Simone are kind of forced acquaintances. Their best friends continually hook up and thus they are left by themselves. Simone doesn’t think much of it because as far as she’s concerned Wes is a player and that’s all he’ll ever be. Wes comes to her rescue one night and takes her to his place where they promptly get snowed in. She is forced to live with him for days and she gets to see the man he really is and also realizes there is a whole other side of her that she has been ignoring. Their chemistry is electric and their relationship is organic. It didn’t feel forced even though they were forced to be together. I will say her inner voice gets really annoying sometimes but the story was so cute that I let that small annoyance slide. If you need something a little sweet a little spicy, this would be a good one!

I loved this book. I loved the storyline and the characters. This is Simone’s and Wes’s story. They end up snowed in together when Wes rescues her from being roofied at the bar they were at because their best friends are into each other. Wes has liked Simone for a while; Simone thinks he’s a player, so she tries to distance herself. Their chemistry is palatable, but does Simone actually talk herself out of any feelings she may have? You will have to read it to find out. Im anxious to read more books by Martha Sweeny after reading this book because I really enjoyed it.

Snowed in with him

Simone gets talked into going to a bar with her best friend and runs into Wes. When her friend leaves with another guy, someone puts something in her drink. Coming to her rescue, Wes takes her home and makes sure she is safe. The next morning they find that they’re snowed in with each other and that they can’t go anywhere. With nothing else to do, they finally give into their feelings.

When the roads open back up, Simone runs from her feelings but Wes just won’t give up. He has to prove that she’s wrong about him.

This is a great book. Wes and Simone met through her friend Juliet and his friend Jake. Their story engaged me from the very beginning. They have quiet a few ups and downs as their story unfolds. Simone has an inner voice that I loved.
There is alcohol use, profanity, a kinky sex scene and an attack. There is mention of drug use in this story also.
If you are looking for a sweet, close proximity, grump and sunshine read, I would highly recommend this book!

This was a cute winter story. People have fantasies about being snowed in with a handsome man, but Simone was living it. Simone and Wes are like polar opposites and made the story really good.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it was really good..
I didn't like Simone's friend from the minute she appeared. She was whiny and just annoying plus she wasn't nice to Simone...but the one thing she did do right was...go to the right bar where Simone ended up meeting Wes. Even though she thinks he's a major player.
Wes was such a sweet character. I kinda figured he really liked Simone but didn't really know how to tell her..
Even when Simone told Wes her deepest darkest secret, he didn't automatically leave. which made me like him even more because we are all humans and we all make mistakes..💜

If you love snarky comments and jokingly good fun. This is a very fun adventure. Simone must learn to overcome her fears and open herself up by talking about her fears. Wes is the most patient and loving man. I think sometimes we all need a Wes in our lives.
