Readers’ Comments “I liked the first book a lot and this was almost as good. I think shadow jumping sounds a lot of fun. It´s a good mystery when Jack is blamed for theft. I was often surprised by what happened.” Boy, aged 12 “This is a well-written mystery with a number of interesting, fully-formed characters for the readers to get to know and try to work out if they did it or not! I would recommend it to 9 – 13 year olds.” Primary School Teacher, aged 55 “It is a very exciting book and funny too. I liked how Jack and Beth got on. The author is good at putting suspense in her story – and lots of mystery too!” Girl, aged 12 “Jack is the best character in the story. I started reading the book then I stopped and read the first book – which was AMAZING! Then I went back and read this book which was cool too. The first book is best, but this is exciting too with more mystery to it.” Boy reader, aged 12

Good story, good character development. Slows importance of family and friends—for good or ill. Unfortunately like the first book it really drags at times. I found my skipping paragraph after paragraph which I could do and not lose any of the story.
A fun action adventure for middle schoolers and higher grades. The characters are believable but an American reader would need some background of English customs, lifestyles and architecture to understand every bit of writing. Overall, it’s a fun quick read.
I had a hard time getting through this book. It was actually making me angry with how unrealistic it was getting. I mean, an old man with 1 leg climbing on rooftops??? Are we for real? I read a lot of YA books, but this was just… not great.

Not only a great mystery but one that introduced the characters and their world beautifully, I loved the first book in this series, Shadow Jumper.
The question being would Twilight Robbery, the much hoped for, second book, be as good?
Well, let's see! ...
A wonderful plot which sees Jack and Beth once again take to the roof tops in an action packed adventure with a tense, breath taking climax in which our young investigators find themselves amidst the chimney pots, shadow jumping through the twilight skies, alongside the most unlikely character.
A engaging mix of memorable characters of all ages, from Jack and Beth {I loved how their friendship is developing, that like most friendships it has its ups and downs} through to care home resident, Mr Garibaldi, who proved to be, well, something of a revelation.
A great the sense of fun, the laugh out loud moments, that amongst the action there were some truly beautiful poignant moments as a more mature Jack battled self doubts.
... I'd say it was every bit as good and even better than its predecessor. I only hope we don't have to wait too long for a third instalment. There is going to a third instalment, please tell me there will be a third instalment.
