Rosette (Rose FMC) is like a fish out of water (No pun intended!) when shes enlightened in this whole new world and enrolled into Corviticus University. As part of a small band of Sirens who are all trying to integrate into this society. Although not everything goes to plan. She has to contend with a Bad-tempered, so called advisor - Ryan. Who couldnt be less helpful if he tried. A hot Vampire - Don and a sweet shifter - Matt. I absolutely loved Finn. His one liners were funny. I also loved the crossover characters from the first Corviticus University series popped up in this book. I love it when that happens. This was a great start to this series and not a bad cliffhanger ending but one that i cant wait to find out how it will play out in the next book

Great, great start

Wow! This first book was awesome. Rose is cool and just trying to find her place but all of a sudden she's remembering things she doesn't even know about. Then there's Ryan, Matt and Don. I love the vamp, the shifter is sweet and the merman needs to get his stuff together. So much mystery though makes for an exciting read. Looking forward to book 2

Great start for a new series

I lived the Corviticus University series, so I couldn't stop myself from diving one again into this world.

Rose is a siren who's attending Corviticus University to integrate in the paranormal society. However, it's not that easy, and a few guys come barging into her life. There might be also some crossover from J.E. Cluney's other books in this world 😏.

I was so excited to see there was another Corviticus University book, this time with sirens and other new characters. I was a big fan of the first series and although it was great to see appearances from Allison and her mates in this book, Rose and her possible mates were just as exciting to learn about.

I've seen the idea behind a siren be different across legends and different stories, and I really enjoyed Cluney's take on them. Sometimes mermaids and sirens are said to be the same creature with the same abilities or habits, but Cluney did a phenomenal job of showing vast differences between the two aquatic species in this book. Whereas mermaids are more sociable, living in large groups or communities, sirens are said to be more territorial and prefer to live solo. Sirens in this book also rely on their basic instincts and are considered much more savage or and aggressive than mermaids are. This is especially shown in the more terrifying full forms they take when shifting in comparison to the mermaids who only shift from the waist down.

What was also intriguing was how Cluney described the sirens being created. Born from the bodies of women who drowned, memories of their previous lives forgotten, and rescued by their new aquelis (which is similar to a familiar for a witch), sirens start their new lives in the sea never knowing anything besides their aquelis and their needs to survive. However, this changed once the sirens were mandated to start getting "enlightenments" which are essentially spellwork done to their minds to upgrade or update their brains to know more current information, helping them learn and adapt to living in the modern world instead of living in the sea and possibly revealing themselves to the human world.

Rose is a relatively new siren who is relearning the world around her, and it was so fun to see her try things for the first time and react to new people. Relationships were something completely foreign to her, especially since sirens were also a solitary species, so it was entertaining and sometimes hilarious seeing her try to form bonds with others. Ryan, Matt, and Don are the prospective harem in this book, at least so far. Who knows if that will change or not. We had a rocky start with one, immediate friendship with some slight issues with another, and an almost obsession with the final one. For someone new to peopling, Rose sure has racked up some followers. I can't wait to see what becomes of this group in the next book and whether or not everyone is going to be on the same page.

Back with a bang!
We’re taken back to Corviticus University and this time thrown into the unknown world of the ocean!
Sirens have been ‘Enlightened’ and are now bing integrated into society on land by the University….trying to steer them away from their more primal beings 😬
Rose is one of these sirens and you really feel for her, she’s been taken out of everything she knew and being forced to relearn everything in an entirely new world 😞 she’s has a naïveté and innocence to her, although she is not afraid to tell people they’re being an a@& when they’re being difficult as she doesn’t understand 😂
Thankfully there are plenty of friendly faces around and you get a glimpse into who could be her harem! The broody gitbag guide Ryan, the sweet and lovable shifter Matt, and the Adonis in the sack vampire Don 🥵- all of whom she shares a different connection 😍
Also for those of you missing Alison and her crew she’s here and plays a significant role in the unraveling….. it soon becomes clear that what the council thought they’d knew about sirens isn’t wholly accurate and there’s a lot more to go…..or is it just Rose?! It doesn’t help that there’s someone out to sabotage the sirens as they’re finding out more about their pasts! Looking forward to seeing where this is going in the next one 😁

Wow I just loved this magical world where at Corviticus university supernatural creatures can be free from humans and be safe to learn. Or so i thought.

At first i though ok this is going to be good, tension was of the charts from the very start between Rose and Ryan and I loves Rose take no prisoners attitude and loving nature while having to deal with the chemistry they both shared.

But then I thought wow as things started setting in motion. And Rose has more to deal with Then just being a siren with a love triangle with not one but three men which in some parts was super hot with the sweet Matt and the vampire Don who likes to keep to him self. And of cause Ryan who's a bit of an ass at times.

Along with struggling with her past. But with the help of her companion Finn who'll do anything to keep her safe and a guest appearances from Alison and her mates which I loved. Made this story so enjoyable to read while leaving us with a ending leaving us asking for more.

Rosette is a siren. She's now at Corviticus University, learning all about the new world she has been thrown into. At some times, I felt like she wants to go back home. Her guide is Ryan, and they didn't start out on good terms. Even though she and Ryan don't get along initially, I still like him. Rosette is impulsive and not the girl you want to mess with. She also meets a hot and sweet shifter named Matt and a vampire named Don. I'm interested to see where her relationships with Ryan, Matt, and Don go. There's some stuff going on at the Univesity that no one knows what's happening, and Rosette has surprising memories. It ends with a cliffhanger, and I am hooked and can't wait to read more.

What a return to Coviticus University JE Cluney has given us! If you have not read the first series, whilst not required for this book, I would highly recommend it.

This first book in another series set in Corviticus University (and Australia) which introduces us to Rose, a feisty siren learning how to live amongst humans and other sups. Rose has been fast tracked to attend CU as one of the first of her species, with the first intake of Sirens. They are assisted by their Mermaid volunteers to settle in and learn human culture - mobile phones, internet and social media. Along with Rose and her siren friends, we are introduced to a cast of men (Ryan, Matt and Don) the Aquelis, as well as get to meet Allison and her men from the first series again.

We are back at Corviticus University and I am thrilled! The Global Council has determined that sirens need to be more present in the world, so sirens are being “enlightened” and then sent to school to be educated and learn about the wider world outside the ocean depths.

Rosette hasn’t had the best introduction to life on land, but she is doing her best to adjust. As she navigates her new life, Rose is learning about her past before she woke up as a siren as well what it’s like to aquatic out of water.

A charged and intriguing start to what promises to be another actions packed series set in the magical world!

J.E. Cluney creates an addition to her popular series, Corviticus University, by adding mermaids, sirens, and aquelis.

Rose finds herself learning to live within the supe/human community after living as a siren for the last two years. Trying to work with her guardian, Ryan, is an emotional struggle, as he fights his attraction to her. Add in Matt and Dom and Rose must also learn to juggle her physical needs with her newly developed sense of heart feelings.

And if that’s not enough on her plate, sirens at the university are being murdered!

Sea Cursed looks to be another exciting read for those who have already enjoyed Cluney’s RH PNR fantasies.

Wow! We go back to Corviticus University with a bang! I got sucked in and blazed through the book in a day. Our favorite characters from books 1-6 are added as accessories to a new host of characters. The sirens join the supernatural party down under at Corviticus. Each is enlightened, and the council begins to disperse them out into warded universities to learn how to assimilate into society. We follow Rose as she encounters new experiences, test drives some male supes, while trying to figure out what these dreams are and how to stop the remaining sirens from going mad.

Loving the new corviticus series

This is the new book to the start of another corviticus tale. Great start the the story looking forward to more.

I have 're-read the original story with Alison and her guys, (if you haven't read it, it is not essential but great series. This is 2 years on from their story), I am so pleased they make an appearance here as supporting characters. Josie has a wonderful idea with the corviticus university universe. I hope there will be many more tales from Mr Brady and the gang supporting new heros😀

Amazing

Loved the Corviticus University so I had high hopes for this one, especially because I love everything water and wanted to be a mermaid when I was younger. So this cover alone screamed read me!

And I'm happy I did, I loved Rose but feel for her so bad, getting dumped into a world you know nothing about, being a paraia in the supe world and getting weird dreams about a girl she doesn't know after meeting Allison, or does she ?

The cliffhanger will make sure you read the next one immediately!

amazing read

Not your average academy series, this one focuses on the life and past life of a particular siren as she, and a group of other sirens, learn to navigate their new world. Amazing world building and character developments. It is easy to get lost in the tale as she navigates the rocky waters of multiple live interests, all while trying to solve a mystery that can lead to madness and death of those she cares about. Cliffhanger but book two is already out.

Minor grammar errors and some repetition but not enough to make you stop reading.

Who doesn't love a good RH with seafolk

The first book in a trilogy brings Rose and her and her aquelis, Finn, to Corviticus University from being a siren for two years with lost memories on how she came to be one. She meets a vampire, a merman, and a shifter who are all drawn to her. An encounter with our favorite banshee starts to unravel her past life that with being targeted along with the other sirens going mad when their aquelis are being stolen. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I love this universe. Rose is amazing. I mean with that first scene in the book how can you not like her.

Of course we have the broody douche canoe with baggage, the sweet tender and under standing good ole boy, and then the bad boy who’s sex is on fire.

We see some familiar faces which play a bigger role then just names being dropped.

I can’t wait to read more about Rose. And that ending will make you want to throw your dang phone/tablet so make sure not too…can be expensive.

So happy for more Corviticus University

I'm so happy to be back in the world of Corviticus University. Rose is a siren, who is a mystery. Her memories from her previous life are coming through, but she doesn't know what they mean. Three guys are vying for her attention, however one of them doesn't know what he wants. We get to see Allison and her mates and I was giddy with excitement. I'm excited for the next book, especially with that ending.

So happy JE decided to do more in the corviticus universe and this one is of course with new caracters. Sirens are now known and we are taken to the world which is of an ocean girl thrown into a world she doesn't know. Now she needs to learn everything and this leads to situations. It makes her naive but luckily there are people who help her out. We get to see who will be in the harem and I am here for it. Great job JE has done and I am so delighted with this series.

Oh my goodness! I'm am so in love with these characters! J.E. Cluney is a master at her world building and this is a new series but in Athens shared world of Corvittius University! It's original and feels fresh to me. I enjoyed it from the very beginning! The characters are relatable and I love it when there's a bit of conflict with at least one of the guys in the group. I love the story line and can't wait for book 2.

I was looking forward to this book because I wanted to get a glimpse of Allison and her mates. Yes, they all appear!! I thought until now, that alls supernatural beings are cool and I would like to be one. Nope, definetely not a siren.. The heroine, Rose, is very likeable. I wonder if she has to choose between Ryan, Matt and Don or will they be willing to share? And what about Hannah? Still so many open questions!

the story really drew me in

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, I did read the first book or two in the corveticus university series but a long time ago, you don’t need to have read it to understand what’s going on but in hindsight I wish I had to get the full flavour as some of the characters make an appearance. Well written with great characters I was drawn in to the story and invested in what was going on, looking forward to the next book

A great start to the trilogy, although if you haven’t started this go start corvictus university first as this has some spoilers for that series and I regret not knowing this first. That being said, enjoyed the book, and the plot, plenty of plot twists and surprises and looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy. My only flaw is perhaps there could have been abit more world building but I wonder if it’s relying on you reading the other series first.

Noooooooo!

I knew I should have waited until the second book was out before reading this. I hate cliff hangers.

But honestly it was a great book. But I did just want to shake Rose and tell her to ask Allison about how to work the multiple mate thing.

Definitely good to read some more Corviticus Uni stories again.

Great start to a new series. Rose is a siren who is trying to fit into a new world and has things farther complicated when she starts remembering her old life. The characters are well done and the storyline flows smoothly and keeps you interested.
