Second in this series.
When Raven has to leave for her grandmother's funeral, Luca feels lonely and still like the new kid. He gets in trouble at school and decides to seek a wish from the Wish Library. Readers see the difficulties that arise after he wishes to be in charge. Plenty of humor with the "new" principal as Luca makes some interesting decisions for his schoolmates. Fortunately, when Raven gets back home, he has help to return the wish on time.
Easy to read chapter book for mid-elementary level.

The Wish Library is a secret hidden library at their school, where visitors can wish for anything, but sometimes wishes aren't granted the way you might think. You need to be specific and clear, or else. Be careful what you wish for! While his friend is away, Luca promises not to go to The Wish Library without her. Well, what do you think he does? I haven't read the first one, but this one gives you enough backstory to read them out of order. For fans of magic schools, wishes, and The Unlucky Lottery Winners of Classroom 13.

This is a chapter book about a boy who wishes to change school while his friend is away. He visits the mysterious wish library. He becomes the principal and finds it isn't fun and wishes to go back before his friend returns from a family event. Eleven chapters and a boy named Luca regrets the changes that come about and breaking his promise to his friend.

I loved that this teaches kids that making rules isn’t that simple, that adults have far more responsibilities than they realize.
