The Heroes: Finn & Jenson - Finn was a warrior and Jensen led the Fae army of the Shadow Court on a mission to help the vampire army and returned home to find that they were betrayed and the nearly everyone in the court was killed. They find the queen about die, having just given birth to a girl child. Before she dies she tasks them with taking the princess away until it is safe. They take her to the white Lady who tells them they will not age until the princess takes her rightful place at the age of 21. She tells them that they will be hers along with another who is not yet in this realm.

The heroine: Maeve - a changeling in the human world who grew up thinking she was just a normal 20 year old girl attending university. She lives in a home near campus, when she meets her new roommates Finn and Jensen, two of the hottest men she has ever seen. A year later after she turns 21, she wakes up in Fairie at the Shadow Court.

The Story: Finn and Jensen are both attracted to Maeve when they meet her, but try to keep themselves apart from her since they are her guards and she doesn’t know it. Maeve falls hard for Finn who is more genial than Jensen and he has trouble keeping away from her. When they finally arrive in the Fae realm, both guys realize that she will eventually marry royalty so they try to keep themselves as just guards.

Maeve finds out that she is betrothed to Prince Christian and has no choice but to marry him to forge a bond with the night court (ruled by vampires). Prince Christian is half fae, half vampire. The vampire curse has been broken and they can walk in the daylight. So the bond between the courts will be strong. Maeve feels and instant connection with Christian, similar to what she felt when she met Finn and Jensen.

Maeve’s last man doesn’t appear until half way through the book. Prince Rhys of the Sea Court arrives just in time to help the group out of a sticky situation and Maeve feels the same attraction to him as the other three men. There are rebels and some shadowy figure out to kill Maeve and all kinds of perils along the way.

Narrated by Stella Hunter, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, Wesleigh Siobhan and Kylie Stewart. All I want to say about the narration is that it was fantastic and these are a bunch of my favorite narrators all together in a single audiobook. Each of these narrators has a distinctive voice and it was easy to tell one character from another via the voices. They all sound age appropriate to these characters and did a terrific job and I loved all the sexy accents.

*ALC received from Audibly Addicted in exchange for my honest review. *

This book was a lot of firsts for me, and I loved every second of it! First K. Loraine book, first reverse-harem and first time having four of my favorite narrators in one book which let’s be honest was nothing less than HOT AF!!

Maeve was placed in the human world since the day of her birth and that is all she has ever known. Her life is relatively ordinary, she has two parents, goes to college and is about to meet her new roommates for the first time. Unbeknownst to her though, her new roommates aren't just here looking for a place to lay their heads. They are here to watch out for her and keep her safe over the next year until it is time for them to take her back to the Shadow Court. As the year goes on before Maeve even realizes it, she has fallen for not one of the men but both. Now, after one kiss from Finn they are transported back to the Shadow Court where she is to take over the thrown as the Queen.

Jenson is your typical guard, here to serve and protect his queen but he has fallen for her just as she has fallen for him, but life is not always that simple. He wants to protect her until his last breath, but she must marry a Prince and Jenson is no Prince.

Finn is the guard you can't help but fall for because he is full of life and love for his Queen and has no problems showing that the moment his feelings are returned. Alas though he is not a Prince either...

Enter Christian who is a Prince but also vampire and fairy as Maeve is. Christian could be the one person who could help her save the Shadow Court but control his urges around her is proving impossible. He desperately loves Maeve but when he is constantly worried about murdering her, he does the only thing that he can do to save her and the court.

Rhys is exactly what you would expect of a Prince. He is arrogant, handsome and entirely too sure of himself but at this juncture he might be the only hope that the Shadow Court and Maeve have.

As Maeve and her gentleman navigate their way through the world of Fae things become more complicated when she realizes she doesn't just love Finn and Jenson but also Christian and Rhys as well. Saving her court is her priority but these four men might be the only hope of guiding Maeve along her journey to becoming Queen.

Now the narration!! THE NARRATION!! That was the real star of the show. Reading this book instead of listening I have no doubt that it would have been incredible, and a five-star read but the narration WOW!! This book has some of my all-time favorite narrators and when you combine them all especially in a few scenes you feel as if you are going to combust!! Stella Hunter always gives her best as does Shane East, but I never knew that I needed Teddy Hamilton as a vamp!! Same goes for Jacob Morgan, that accent!! *Insert fanning myself gif here* Jason Clarke was everything delightful and delicious as usual. Honestly, I have zero complaints on audio other than I didn't want it to end!!

All the Queen's Men was nothing short of perfection!! The story was incredible from the very first page and the way Maeve handles her merry band of men was almost elegant. She not only made each of them feel loved she gave them each something that they needed, the exact part of her that would help make them whole. I really don't know why I haven't read a K. Loraine book before now, but I am going to make it a priority to read more of her books before the end of the year. She told such a delicious, compelling and enthralling story that I will not be forgetting this baby anytime soon!!

If you like fantasy, fae, reverse harem then this book is perfect for you. I'm a sucker for a book about fae and I honestly really loved this one.

This book follows Maeve, who has been living a normal life in the human world until her 21st birthday when Finn and Jenson, who were sent to protect her, are all transported to the Shadow Court. Maeve learns she is the Shadow Court's long-lost queen, who has to learn to control her powers and marry a prince, while also being in love with Finn and Jenson.

The writing was easy to read and the world building wasn't complicated at all which is hard to find in books set in faerie. There are lots of twists and turns that keep you hooked throughout the entire book. I'm new to reverse harem and this has got to be a new favourite. The way the author wrote the relationship between Maeve and Jenson, Rhys, Christian, Finn was done so well and I loved them all for how different they were but how perfect their dynamic is. There was a perfect ratio of plot to romance and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I'll 100% be reading more books from this author.

My first fae story. I’ve never been a fan. I don’t even know why. But I knew if anyone could get me to like it, it would be K. Loraine – my personal queen of paranormal romance. And, boy, did she ever succeed. The fact that this is a RH romance (which I’m a sucker for if it’s done right) and the audio being a full cast experience jam-packed with some of my favorite narrators didn’t hurt either. Because, OH MY GOD, did I fall for this deliciously steamy and mystical suspense story and Mauve and her four guys!

The guys. All so different and unique, each of them bringing another element into the relationship dynamic. Each of them not only physically (because, duh, audio book) having their own distinctive voices, but mentally, even emotionally too. It’s the most critical thing with a reverse harem – if the balance isn’t given, they will all blend together, making the group feel ingenuine and, in all honesty, unnecessary – who needs four times the same type of man at once? Lol.

The story. Magical. Captivating. Hot. Thrilling. Compelling. Amazing world building. Fantastic, vastly different characters. Full of lust and passion, adventure and suspense. A story of friendship, war, elements, history, power and a prophesy that needs to be fulfilled. A world of not only different types of faes, but vampires and sea creatures too. Intricate. Intriguing.

The narration. All-star. Multicast. Duet style. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. Stella Hunter perfectly portraying Mauve. Then Jason Clarke, Jacob Morgan, Teddy Hamilton, and Shane East as her love interests … good god, did I mention I was in audio book heaven? All stellar voice actors, all bringing their respective characters to life flawlessly, making them even more complex, more fascinating, more intense, more unique, MORE! Add in Wesleigh Siobhan, who was new to me, and Kylie Stewart as the voices of supporting characters, and you have an epic performance for every paranormal romance audio book lover. Gah!

I love RH books, I do. And the thing I love most about them is the depth of the main character's relationship with each of her men. That was nonexistent here. Everything is just so fast paced for no reason at all. The book is almost 600 pages long, there was definitely space to flesh out the relationships.

This is one of those insta love cases, where she sees a guy, immediately falls for him and he for her, and rinse and repeat 4 times. To be fair, there was double insta love at the start, where she meets Finn and Jensen, and the other two guys were individual, but still.

There was barely any plot, which I don't mind when I like the characters, but I didn't end up liking anyone here. It's weak at best, it's there just to fill up some time between romantic scenes.

And then there's Maeve's training, or lack thereof. There's one distinct scene I remember, it was over too quickly, and the point in the book it first appears is a bit strange. You'd think she'd want to train the very second she sees she has powers, especially since she seems so concerned about hurting her mates, but no.

I don't think this author is for me, since this is now the third book that I either don't like or don't have strong feelings for. But I am going to read The Mate Games anyway, it should be more to my taste since it's a collab with another author I love.

Finally, the short story at the end deserves a mention. It was so much better than the main book and I think getting through 500+ pages just to get to it was worth it. I wasn't even going to read it, but I'm glad I did. If there was a story with those two characters, like their own spinoff, then I think I'd give K. Loraine another chance.

4 stars for the short story, 2 stars for the main story, so I'll be nice and give it 3.

Ok, truth time: I am trash for reverse harem lately, and I'm discovering I also really love a fae story! All the Queen's Men ticked all my boxes.

First, I must say, if you enjoy audiobooks, this is a MUST LISTEN. It has a full cast and that cast is packed with some of the best narrators. Seriously, I cannot recommend this in audio enough!

Originally, the story was a serial, but it has been combined into one story, and I quite enjoyed it. Maeve was a "normal human" who find her life turned upside down by 4 guys. She faces a trial in the fae world that her and her guys must overcome in order for her to become queen. She is also struggling with being attracted to all 4 guys. Life is tough 😉.

The story blends interesting fantasy elements with steamy romance. The story is compelling and I really had a hard time stopping to do things like my job or talk to people. What I also appreciated is that the world building isn't insanely complex. There are some books with fae worlds that spend hundreds of pages building this crazy detailed fae court. This book gives you enough to understand, but doesn't waste excessive words on this area. I appreciate that because world building is important, but I don't always want a 1000 page fantasy book. Now, this book is still LONG (almost 600 pages) but I appreciate that 400 pages aren't just world building before we really dig into the story.

Like most RH reads, the guys are all unique and bring something different to the dynamic. This is an important balance for an author to strike, and I thought the 4 guys in this story were well written and unique enough.

I think my only critique was that there were parts of the story that didn't seem to flow well. I don't know if that is because it was once serialized and now its one story or if it just lacked a flow. At no point was it jittery enough to totally take me out of the story, so it really is a small critique!

(audiobook) I’m adventurous. I don’t usually read PNR, nor reverse harem. And the author was new to me. But I tried this book, and I didn’t regret it one second.

The fantasy world, where faes, vampires and shifters cohabit, with its specific rules, was fascinating. The fact that its fate falls on the shoulders of a young woman brings this book close to YA novels. Except that it isn’t suitable for young readers. At all.

It’s a reverse harem, and one quite steamy with that. I even felt that all of Maeve’s relationships were based on lust, not love. The romance, at first, wasn’t always clear. But once they know each other, they have very emotional moments. Maeve has powerful scenes with each of her lovers. They’re also all so different from each other that you’ll end up with a favorite, even though Maeve has none.

I’d have loved for the trials that Maeve has to endure to be more difficult, or more developped. They mean something though, and Maeve’s whole story is a coming-of-age story. Not only her: some of her lovers have to overcome their own challenge to deserve their place in her harem.

The main reason I was able to plunge into this universe in the first place, was the narration. The multi-cast was perfect for the various points of view and the narrators chosen for each characters were well cast. Great performances. And the bonus story was adorable–and sexy.

Quickie

- Series: standalone
- Hashtags: #paranormal romance #reverse harem #fae #vampire #merman #dragon shifter #new adult #MFMMM #MF #MM #MMF
- Triggers: torture, violence, death
- Main “couple”: Maeve & (Jensen + Finn + Christian + Rhys)
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 3/5
- + the mythology and the universe were interesting
- – I didn’t always see the feelings, too instalove for me

Wow, what an incredible story this was! All the Queens Men by K. Loraine is my first experience with fae romance, and I am officially hooked! The narration done in multi cast duet was INCREDIBLE. The emotional performances, from every narrator blew me away! The story is filled with so much drama, steam and suspense and once I began the story, I was completely immersed and could not stop listening until I finished.

Maeve has been living her life as a human all her life. On her 21st birthday, she is transported to a fae world where she learns she is the Queen of the Shadow Court where she holds the only power to reunite the four courts of Fae Shadow, Sea, Ember and Stone. In order to reunite the four courts she is challenged to a series of trials that she must complete with her four men at her side. Her guards Jensen and Finn, Christian a fae vampire and Rhys a sea prince. Maeve took on all the challenges that were thrown at her with strength and resiliency. She was unstoppable despite plenty of obstacles that got in her way. The danger and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat in anticipation!

I love how perfectly K. Loraine blends emotion, passion and romance into this fantasy world! If you love reverse harem, paranormal, and fae romance this is a MUST listen!

All the Queens Men is a paranormal reverse harem. I liked that this wasn’t the typical fated mate paranormal RH, though some tropes are often used.
I liked all of the characters but, I have to say that some of the guys got on my nerves. I just wanted to tell them to get their heads out of their asses a few times during the book. I also feel like there were a couple of unnecessary complications to the story.
That being said, I enjoyed Maeve’s story. I didn’t expect her to be as fierce as she was, and I appreciated that she did doubt herself, but she also pushed through that doubt to become the woman she needed to be. This easily could have been more than one book, but I appreciate that the author kept it short. The story ended satisfyingly, and I appreciate the addition of this book's m/m aspect, something I wish there was more of in RH. I will certainly read more paranormal books by this author!

This is the first book I've read from this author and it was an okay read. I loved how there was really no build-up to the story. The beginning just jumped right into it with the action but then it slowed drastically. I liked the main characters but there was definitely a lot of back and forth with them and their feelings for each other. The first half part of the story seemed to be focused more on lust than love. I honestly didn't believe in their feelings towards each other. I guess all of the back and forth killed it for me. A lot of what happened between the characters seemed redundant and it made the pace of the story slow. It seemed as if Maeve being back wasn't as important as everyone kept saying it was because it seemed as if she was more interested in sex than restoring her land and bringing balance to the courts. This book for me was good for a one time read only. If readers don't mind a lot of back and forth between the characters and a story full of lust, this might be a good story for them. I thought the characters relationship would be a little deeper but it was lacking for me. It wasn't a terrible read but it's defintiely a one time read for me.

This is my first reverse harem, and I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed it. All the men in the book seemed to fit the needs of Maeve. Also added to the spice was the fact that it included fae and vampires. I also enjoyed the “trials” Maeve had to go through.

I did enjoy this series, but I must admit this trope/plot has been done better…. Not all at once, but it feels like pieces of other books I’ve read, if somehow melded together, would result in what I mention.

This is one of the only times where I will say this: the author should have made this series longer.

The relationships were half formed. The the lead up to to action was abrupt and practically ZERO background went into it until after the fact.

The only suspense I found was half-hearted explanations after the actual event.

Even the sexy bits were left to uninspired sentences… okay… sentences are implying there was some sort of lead up, foreplay and ending… there was more than once where I was confused on what conspired…. One sentence they were making out. Another undress. Then climax and moving on to figuring out how to solve world peace and mulling about her parents legitimately in the same sentence.

One moment she’s human, next moment she’s doing all the things… no training… no back story… barely a reason.

I hate giving bad reviews on highly rated books because I feel like I somehow don’t understand something… but with this one, I truly don’t get it.

I’m conflict-avoidant, but I feel like I’m over-rating this at a 3⭐️… with the implication that 2.5⭐️’s is “average”.

This was a really solid fae fantasy reverse harem romance, and the audiobook in particular is amazing. I enjoyed Jensen, Finn, Christian, and Rhys equally, and the fantasy plot was featured just enough but didn’t take away from Maeve’s relationships with her harem. I loved that we got some sword crossing with Christian and Rhys 🥵🔥 I just wish that we could’ve gotten a spicy scene with all 5 characters 🤷🏻‍♀️

This also gives some vibes of ACOTAR, mainly bc Maeve has to go through some trials and Rhys does remind me a bit of a certain character with the same name lol.

Mary Sue female… so annoying. Like everything spins around her, magic is oh so easy at once… they think she’s so high above them, because she’s queen. It’s ridiculous. She’s done nothing special. Honestly. So rushed from human world to fae. The romance is lacking - the suddenly love her, ugh. Not enough words to describe how much of a failure this book is. All problems are magically vanishing, no real emotion throughout the book. and it’s so long. I skim read most of it, just to finally finish it! I’ve never read something this bad before. Truly. What a disappointment and letdown overall.

Maeve is brought up as a changeling in the human world to protect her identity. On her 21st birthday she’s brought back to the fae realm where she learns she is actually the Shadow Queen. To ascend the throne and get her crown she must complete three trials with the help of not one, but four of her prince lovers. With the help of Finn, Jensen, Christian, and Rhys she’s able to claim her birthright and restore magic and power to the fae realm.

Plot: 3/5 • Smut: 5/5 ————> If you need a supernatural fae/vampire RH packed with insta-love then this is for you. Maeve, our virgin FMC, winds up with two warrior and two prince mates. They navigate through the trails and tribulations of her trying to stay alive and learn how to control her powers. This is very fast paced. Everything goes down so quickly and doesn’t lose steam throughout.
Smut is good and bountiful.

4 🌶

This follows the Queen of the Shadow Court and her taking her crown. (Same "World" as The Mate Games before they were set.)

I listened to this as well as read along. The audiobook was so good. Full cast, duet style narration.

The only thing that bothered me was that I felt the ending was a bit rushed.

Fae, vampires, merfolk, witches, goblins, a dragon and RH!!!

Fun, steamy, exciting fantasy reverse harem story. Maeve doesn’t find all her guys at once though, so for a single books, it’s kind of a medium burn. Good characters, but dang, the Fae are a horny bunch. Falling into bed within a day or two…. But it is a fun book overall, and we got an extra bonus short at the end.

4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These past 2 days (really it took me only 24 hours to finish this one😂🔥) I was sucked into a world of #Fae and #Romance by #AllTheQueensMen by @kimloraineauthor 😍This is a 600 page beast that was formerly published as a duology, but has now been re-edited and got some more content added to it. I really enjoyed it! After all, I didn’t want to put it down at all. It does have some smaller weaknesses as well though.

But, let’s start with the positive things!
First, I really liked the world. There are different fae courts and our main character, who grew up as a human, has the difficult task of uniting these courts by claiming her crown and taking her power, which comes with a few trials and hardships. While I did really like that storyline, the book was obviously a #fantasyromance though, meaning the focus is on the female MC and her love interests - yes, plural, ‘cause this book is also a #reverseharem 😍
They all have quite different personalities and we get to read from their perspectives as well. My favourite have to be Finn and Rhys though (and that has nothing to do with the name😂❤️). I felt like these two have the most distinct and most developed personalities and I wish I had been able to look into their minds more. I really loved these two. While I liked the other two as well, I felt like they didn’t have as much depth. And then there is Maeve. I had a little trouble really connecting to her. I’m not sure why, but she felt always a little distant and at times I felt she was holding back. Like there was more to her. Maybe that was also due to the fact that the entire fae situation was kind of alien to her and obviously she was just learning to use her powers.

Which brings me to my main “issue”: I wanted more! The story has fantastic potential. I personally wouldn’t have minded a longer story with more details. I feel like there are so many aspects of this world, the relationships, the other courts, the powers, the trials, King Lorcan that could’ve been explored. And with Maeve being fairly new in her “job” I am sure there would be lots of things to discover as well.
In the beginning of the book we get to experience Maeve when she is still in the human world and basically clueless. There’s an entire year where Jensen and Finn guard her while she has no idea who they are. And while it makes perfect sense for this year to be told a little faster, because we want to get to the good stuff, it felt a little rushed. The pacing definitely slowed when the story progressed, however, sometimes I had the feeling that things happened a little too fast (like Saskia getting to Jensen, if you’ve read the book you know what I’m talking about). Scenes like this felt like they could’ve been a little more detailed. It might have helped me connect to Maeve better as well, who knows.

All in all, this is the only real “weakness” or “negative” thing I see in the book though, which, if you think about it, wanting more details isn’t really that bad, right? 😉

Oh, what I should mention though: The romance in this one is a #fatedmates kind of romance, which does have #instalove qualities at times. Personally, I think insta-love can be a hit of miss and while I enjoy #slowburn much more, I didn’t have too much trouble with it here.💖

All the Queen’s Men by K. Loraine was an epic, steamy, paranormal reverse super harem romance that I could not get enough of! Seriously, if you are a PNR and a reverse harem fan, then you will love everything about this book. K. Loraine has created quite an imaginative world with mesmerizing faeries, sexy vampires, seductive sea princes, and so much more that will leave you completely hooked and entranced in this paranormal world.

The audiobook is performed in duet with an amazing mutlicast including Stella Hunter, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, and Jacob Morgan with guests Kylie Stewart and Wesleigh Siobhan. Stella Hunter shines as sassy, confident Maeve who is fae and the future Queen of the Shadow Court. Maeve is faced with various challenges and trials on her journey to become queen. As long as she has her men, she can achieve anything. Shane East and Jason Clarke portray fae guards, Jensen and Finn with such passion and loyalty. Teddy Hamilton is quite the lovable, sexy vampire taking on the role of Christian, and Jacob Morgan exudes a cocky, confidence as the sea prince Rhys. Kylie Stewart and Wesleigh Siobhan both add a mystical presence to their performances in the story. This all-star multicast was incredible and cast so perfectly!

Overall, I enjoyed this paranormal reverse super harem romance from K. Loraine. The story flowed so easily, and I found myself not wanting to push pause on such brilliant performances with all the talented accents and an action packed plot! In this story you get all the love, the angst, the steam, the passion, the fantasy, and one epic adventure! I loved it!

GENRE/TROPES: PNR, RH
POV: 1st, Multiple
SERIES: Shadow Court
STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥

~ 𝐼𝓉 𝓂𝑒𝒶𝓃𝓈…𝓎𝑜𝓊’𝓁𝓁 𝒷𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓉𝑒 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓉𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒻𝒶𝑒. 𝒮𝒽𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓌, 𝒮𝑒𝒶, 𝐸𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓃𝑒. ~

I have to admit the flow of this book was a bit off for me. I understand it was originally released in serialized form and I could tell because the different parts seemed to jump around a bit and that was kind of disruptive.

Other than that, this was one heckuva a push/pull, angsty, somewhat steamy PNR. I love everything fae and magical and RH and this had it all! The progression moved rather swiftly during the first 20% of the story but once Maeve found herself back in the Shadow Court it evened out and flowed smoothly.

I liked our FMC and each of her guys. I thought it was neat how powers manifested and how Maeve seemed to be at the center of it all. It felt insta-ish but I really enjoyed how each relationship developed. The bond was there but instead of relying on it solely, Maeve was able to grow with each guy.

And the epilogue? Adorable! It was wonderful finishing this thick book with such a sweet scene!

I was very excited to read this book in advance in exchange for an honest review. Paranormal is not my go to genre to read but Ms. Loraine is one of the authors that I trust to whisk me away to a magical world of captivating fairies, hot vampires and sexy sea princes. This book did not disappoint to bring all the hot, steamy read you expect from a reverse harem book in a paranormal world. Maeve and her hot, sexy men took me on a magical adventure full of enchantment, edge of my seat actions and steamy scenes that I wish I’m Maeve. Oh my she is one lucky queen to have all these men that loves her and wants to protect her. I preordered the audiobook and can’t wait to listen to the full cast bringing all these characters to life. I bet this will be a guaranteed 5 star listen as this will be performed in duet by my favourite narrators Stella Hunter, Wesleigh Siobhan, Kylie Stewart, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan.
