Surprise gem in Kindle format!

I was hesitant to buy another exercise book and even more reluctant, one on Kindle. This book is so well organized and helpful!!! I've been in physical therapy for 4 years and I am familiar with pilates principles. Maria reviews these well and provides a very accessible format to guide anyone along their journey to more function and fitness at home. I love her chapter order and the flow of the book! The kindle version is very easy to follow on my phone. Pictures of each exercise along with instructions are easy to follow along in bed, bathroom, kitchen, living room, office... where has this been all my life? Because my phone is always with me the Kindle app makes it easy peasy to refer to the book! My hypermobile body thanks Pajama Pilates for an easy-to-follow routine! I'd give this 10 stars if I could!❤️
PS: charming illustrations included!

I Love This Book

I have practiced Pilates over many years, on and off. I have back trouble now and tried to replace a useful Pilates book, to no avail. I looked at the preview of this book and saw that it covered moves I found helpful, was Pilates accurate and yet fun and low key. I'm so glad I purchased it. The pictures are a delight. A helpful prompt and inspiration - probably more helpful if you are familiar with the correct positions - it doesn't reiterate over and over as in beginner books.

Pajama Pilates is a refreshing and approachable guide that makes fitness feel simple, comfortable, and genuinely achievable. Maria Mankin and Maja Tomljanovic present Pilates in a way that removes the intimidation often associated with structured workouts, replacing it with a relaxed, practical approach anyone can try at home.

What makes this book especially appealing is how accessible the exercises are. The step-by-step instructions, modification options, and clear explanations of physical benefits make it easy for both beginners and experienced practitioners to follow along. I also appreciated how everyday household spaces, like a kitchen counter or the edge of a bathtub, are incorporated into the routines, proving that effective workouts don’t require expensive equipment or a gym membership.

The colorful illustrations add a fun, inviting touch and help readers visualize each movement clearly. It truly feels like a friendly guide encouraging readers to care for their bodies in a comfortable, low-pressure way.

Pajama Pilates is perfect for anyone looking to improve strength, flexibility, and posture without leaving home. Whether you’re new to Pilates or simply want a gentle, practical routine to incorporate into your day, this book offers an encouraging path toward better wellness.

Thank you for this

This is going to help me so much, I have chronic pain and lipedema so doing normal exercises hurt so even trying to push through the is not possible but I read through and did many of these and even though I can't complete all of the exercises yet I can do over 80% of them which gives me the confidence I can improve my health and my mobility again. So that in the future I can do the rest of the exercises. Thank you so so much 💗

Horrendous child-like graphics with long text with instructions.

There's a lot of room for injury for uninitiated readers. Audio or video should have been better to guide the reader better.

Exercise series are rather simplistic and likely targeted to senior citizens or to gender X human-like creatures who may not be in good shape or who rarely exercise, if at all.

Yikes. This is trash.

Just a joy to go through with delightful illustrations + simple exercises that you can do around your house + anywhere. Really fabulous in ebook format, too. I feel so seen, as this is already my jam in my jammies. Some days (almost all my days lately), you just need to be able to exercise in bed or in the little moments you have. Little moments of movement can make a difference!

I loved this book because Maria describes each move in perfect detail for beginners like me. I'm very excited to start doing more Pilates workouts along with continuing weight training and cardio.

Great for beginners and/or folks who would rather not venture into the gym but would rather stay home and work out in their bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms!

Just Do Something!

I am nearly 7 years into Reformer Pilates. It works wonders for me. I purchased this book for all my girlfriends, hoping it would inspire them to just do something. I've also found exercises to help with my specific issues that I can do to work on them. I bet you will, too.

Really cute concept! I would say almost if not 100% of the stretches are beginner-level, but it's such a quick read that it's worth flipping through. It also never hurts to remind yourself to move your body regularly.

This is exactly what I needed to supplement my physical therapy for a back injury. I'm not currently able to do all the exercises but even my physical therapist said many of them will be good.
