I was on my way in my high heels looking like a boss babe… Ready to prove to the world that I could make it on my own.
And then…
A hot businessman turned my world upside down.
I was shocked too. Mainly because that hot businessman was my brother’s best friend. He lied about being married to me. I lied about not being in love with him. It was like just any other modern mess. Billionaire men have a way of ruining everything. And when they’re also playboys…? Let’s just say that my brother won’t be too happy. Translation: He would be furious! I would put an end to the mess if it weren’t for a small scandal waiting to erupt. A baby.
A full-length fake engagement pregnancy romance featuring a super determined woman, who’s out to prove to the world that she is much more than a wild, spoilt and entitled princess. The perfect HEA and absolutely no cliff-hanger! ‘Maybe It’s Fate’ is a part of the Heart of Hope series but stands alone. Books do not have to be read in order.

Ajme Williams has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Brianna and Daniel. Brianna works for her father's company and her brother Devin is the CEO. She wants to open a club but while Devin thinks she can do it, the board is not behind it. She goes and gets her own finances. She finds the building but Candace Laughton doesn't want to lease, she wants to sell the building. She talks to Devin about this and he tells her to go and talk to Daniel since he was in real estate. She puts a proposal together for Daniel. She goes to see him and while he likes the plan, he tells her that he can't help her. He sees the defeat on her face and is sorry he put it there. He took her out for a drink, and she tells him she knows why Devin and the board were not behind her. When he gets back to the office he is told that Larry Jabocs had called. He tells Mrs. Poole that he would call him back. Daniel calls Larry and is given a hard time about a financial report. Daniel goes back and forth with Larry and then tells him that he has things to do and they Larry was keeping him from doing it and hangs up on him. Bold. Daniel couldn't imagine that Larry wanted him to be bold. That would mean that he ignored Larry and do what he wanted, which was how his father operated. Daniel thinks about what Brianna had told him. I have to do it my way to make them notice me and recognize that I'm an asset to the business. He thinks that is what he has to do. He looks over to where he put Brianna's report. He goes and picks it up to review it again. He hadn't lied when he told her he was intrigued. She had done her homework and he could see the potential of her vision. He left his office and told Mrs. Poole that he would be out the rest of the day. He called for a car and then called Candace Laughton, the owner of the building Brianna wanted her club in. She agreed to meet him right away. When they meet, she gives him a look and he knows that look but he is not interested in her. He asks her "What would it take for me to have a deal right now for the building?" She said, "Why don't you come to my place? I can make you dinner and we can talk about what you can give me." He gave her a number that was more than fair. "Cash. Closing in 30 days." There was a time he would've taken her up on what she offered. But since his father had died, he realized that the board had not accepted him as the new leader of the company, he put everything aside except business. "Sure." I have a Realtor- He tells her that he would send the contract over the next day. The deal doesn't go the way Daniel wants. Candace tries to proposition him into a marriage. He goes back to his office and tells Mrs. Poole and she tells him that she has an event that she would be going to that night and he asked if she could get him a ticket? He calls Brianna and tells her what is going on with Candace and the event for that night. She tells him that she can go and with the both of them maybe they could make it happen. Daniel is talking to Candace when Brianna comes up and he tells Candace that they are engaged. This is shocking to Brianna but she goes along with it. Brianna is not sure that it is a good idea when Daniel tells her his plan. They pretend to be engaged until closing for the building. After that then they will go their own way. Brianna tells him that they have to tell Devin so that he would be upset when it gets in the paper. Devin is Daniel's best friend and when told about the plan, he is not happy. The more time they spend together, the more Brianna falls for him. She knows that they are only pretending and once the closing comes, Daniel will go his way. Things happen and they end up sleeping together. This is upsetting for Daniel since it was Devin's little sister. Daniel decides that he needs to stay away from Brianna. There is a problem with the club and Daniel can't get in touch with Brianna, so he makes a choice concerning her club. She gets mad about this and walks away from him after telling him that he is just like his father. Brianna notices how Daniel is ignoring her and she keeps dealing with the club. She only deals with Daniel by email or text. It has been a week since Daniel has seen Brianna and he has missed her. He has thought about what she said the day she walked away from him and is upset by what she said. He goes to the club and finds her. She is not too happy to see him but she hears him out on what he wants to say. They realize that they have something going on between them and start sleeping together when they can. On the day of the closing, Brianna goes to Daniels's office and they are fooking around when Devin walks in. He gets mad that they are together. After Devin leaves Daniel's office, he said something to Brianna that reminds her that they are over. She thought that maybe things were different between them. She goes to visit Serena, her sister-in-law to talk about Devin. A few days after her visit, she gets sick in the morning. This goes on for the whole week so she goes to the doctor. She is told that she is pregnant. She knows that she needs to tell Daniel even with him not wanting children. She goes to see him at his home but he is not there, she is told that he is at the club. She thinks that he has already gone back to his old ways. When he gets home, he is told that Brianna has come by but didn't leave a message. Brianna goes by Daniels the next night and when she gets there, they fall back to the way they were and sleep together. He said something that makes her realize that he is still the say way. She gets dressed and while coming down the stairs, Devin shows up and asks Daniel if he is going to marry Brianna since she is pregnant. Daniel is shocked by this news. Brianna tells them both that she doesn't need them and leaves. Will Daniel get his self straight and go after Brianna? Will Brianna give him a second chance? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Brianna and Daniel To prove to their families that they can stand on their own two feet in business. Brianna wants to open a club but needed Daniel to buy the building but the woman who is selling it wants more then Daniel wants to give and tells her he is engaged to Brianna to keep her off. This was good paced story with great chemistry between Daniel and Brianna. With Ajme Williams you know there will be drama, angst and a great storyline before there is a HEA. Definitely worth the read and all of her other books! She’s one of my favorites.
This was okay definitely not something I would re-read. It lacked..... I can't even tell you what it lacked because reading I was like majority of this shit is unrealistic and how the hell is this possible. I mostly read it because of the accidental pregnancy trope.
Wonderful love story. Brianna & Daniel's forbidden love story had me glued from the start I was desperate for more. Brianna worked for her family company but was never taken seriously by her father & the board even though she had been running it & making it a success with her brother so when her new project was dismissed her brother Devin suggested she has hus best friend Daniel for his advice. She went to Daniel with her business plan & he agreed it was a great idea but he himself was also not being taken seriously & having to prove himself to his companies boards couldn't help her but she was determined to succeed. Daniel though went to see the building she wanted him to buy & saw that it was perfect so contacted the buyer who wanted more than just to sell her building to him & at the evening event her went to see her at she wanted to get him into bed aswell so when Brianna arrived as he'd asked her to in a spur of the moment to get himself out of Candace's clutches he said he was engeged to Brianna & took her outside,. He explained everything to her & they agreed to a business partnership which also now included being in a fake engagement until the sale of the contract ended in a month. However their business only relationship became a bit more physical & the sexual feelings they had about each other for years started up but they both agreed it was business & only temporary telling her brother the relationship was all fake so it didn't damage Daniel's friendship with Devon. Brianna secretly started falling for him even though Daniel kept turning cold on her after they had slept together but then kept coming back to her which left her feeling hurt then something unexpected happened which saw her life go from bad to worse not only with Daniel but her brother & then her parents made it clear how disappointed they were of her & whiched proved to her what she always thought they did. Both Gavin's wife & Daniel's brother could see that they both loved each other even though the didn't tell each other especially Daniel as he had made it clear to everyone he would never do relationships. I was dedperate for him to wake up & smell the roses & realise what was in front of him how he could have the happy family his brother & Devin did before it was too late. I loved this story & even teared up at times & love reading this brother book in this series.

An intriguing, emotional filled, smoking hot angsty storyline with surprising twists.
Brianna Roarke wants to prove to her family that she is an important member of their family company. Unfortunately her parents and the "old school" board members treat her like it's just a faze that she'll get over. Even her brother won't speak up in support of her in front of the board. Because they think women are supposed to get married and support their families not be a titian in business. So they deny her business proposal for a new club she wants to open. So she turns to her brothers best friend Daniel Clarke CEO of Clarke Enterprises a billionaire real estate mogul. He was having his own problems with "old school" board members after the death of his father. So they agree to go into business together he would buy the building and she would rent part of it for her club. Everything seemed fine until the woman who owned the building wanted to add something extra on the sale of the building. She wanted an arranged business marriage with benefits. So when she wouldn't back down he said he was engaged to Brianna unbenounced to her. There were several problems with that she had a crush on him since she was a freshman in high school and her brother forbid Daniel to have kind of relationship with her fake or real. Plus their chemistry is undeniable but she knows he never wants to be in a relationship for real plus they have to keep their trysts secret because her brother would flip out. Their "engagement" makes her look weak like she needs a man to get her club off the ground. Brianna is anything but weak she is smart, strong, resilient and determined. Their back and forth banter and undeniable chemistry along with their internal battle with their feelings for each other and their jobs makes for an intriguing, emotional filled, smoking hot angsty storyline with some twist that can change the trajectory of their lives. I received a free ARC from the author through Booksprout and I'm voluntarily leaving my review.
Brianna Roarke is trying to prove her abilities to her family who are stuck in the mindset that woman should stay home and have babies, not run businesses. Therefore, the non-supportive Board denies her business proposal.
Brianna instead asks her brother’s best friend and CEO of Clarke Enterprises, Daniel Clarke, to help her out. He agrees to buy a building which she could rent for her club. When he took the sales contract to the current owner, the woman insisted he marry her or she would not sell the building. So he told her he was already engaged to marry Brianna. That, too, caused a snowball of issues as they tried to convince her brother, Devin, that Daniel would not touch his sister, it was purely fake for the 30 days until the sale of the building was final. Her mother heard about her engagement and started lining up a photographer, wedding venue, and all those other bride things that needed doing. This was getting crazy.
They went up to the terrace rooftop of the building they were buying and Brianna wanted to celebrate with a one-time fling. She had always had a crush on Daniel. And he was finding it more than difficult to refrain from doing what she wanted. But finally agreeing this had to be the only time, they gave in. He withdrew when he realized she could get pregnant. That would really mess up their plans… they could be that unlucky, right?
This was a good, well-paced story line with great characters. Things get more and more complicated as they try to keep their fake engagement quiet. Both of their families were far too well-known for that to ever work. Grab your copy and have a few chuckles at the roadbumps they have to keep dodging for this plan to work. Thirty days seems like such a short time to have to fake this. But it was starting to feel like forever.
MAYBE IT'S FATE was a steamy read from the first page to the last. This is Brianna and Daniel's story and it is over the top hot and some of those scenes detracted from the story for me. The story is told by each of them in alternating chapters which did get confusing at times and repetitive when the same detail was told from both their points of view. He's her brother's best friend and in Devin's eyes they can't ever have a relationship even if it's a fake one partially for a business deal. But is it fake?
The story is connected to others I've read in the Heart of Hope series. While it was nice to reconnect with some of those other characters, this is definitely a stand alone book. Set in Manhattan and the Hamptons there were vivid descriptions of the businesses, the homes and the family relationships. Brianna doesn't like the way her parents and brother treat her personally or while working at the business but can it or will it change? She and Daniel are better together although marriage and family aren't his thing thanks to his late father's legacy. There's definitely romance whether it's fake or not has to be determined. There's also love and a happily ever after that is nicely portrayed in the epilogue.
Ms. Williams is an author whose books I've enjoyed. She often takes me out of my comfort zone and the sex scenes could definitely be dialed back a notch. I do look forward to reading more of her books.

I rated the book 3.5 stars but rounded to 4 stars here and on other sites.
Both Brianna and Daniel are over looked by the board of each company. Daniel has taken over his family business since his father passed away and Brianna is treated like a spoiled princess which she is not at all. Brianna is one hard worker and a great team player and never given the recognition she deserves. Daniel is best friends with Brianna’s brother Devin who has also taken over his family’s business. Brianna is out to prove she knows what she’s doing and ends up going to Daniel for help her with a building for her new bar/club, being turned down. Later on Daniel decides to go for it and purchases the building and Brianna and Daniel start their business deal with a twist. The realtor selling the building corners Daniel that in order to buy the building she wants to spend the night with him so Daniel opts out stating he is engaged to Brianna. Once Devin finds out he’s not happy but they insist they are doing this to make the deal for the building and in private both Daniel and Brianna spend one special moment together after another one. Once Brianna’s mom finds out she wants to plan the biggest social event ever and her dad does not seem to care either way. These two are a natural couple and genuinely have feelings for each other. They have issues that give them some trouble and then there’s a surprise that gives Brianna a way towards a new life! There are dreams that Brianna hopes to accomplish and Daniel is the one with her along the way. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Brianna Roarke & Daniel Clarke. These two met years ago you see Daniel is Brianna's brother's best friend. During her teenage years though he made her wish he could see her as more. When he went away to college she put him out of her mind. Now grown up she needs help her family won't take her seriously and she wants to open a club of her own. The only place she can think to go is to Daniel and see if he will help her with the building. Daniel is having problems of his own. Since his father's passing he has become CEO of their families real-estate business. The problem is his board can't see past what his father used to do and because of that they don't take him seriously. So when Brianna comes to him with her proposal he is honest with her is it a sound a good plan but he can't help. When he does though it almost blows up in his face from the go. The woman who owns the building ya she is looking for more from him and to give them both what they want he tells her he is engaged to Brianna. From there it is a freefall for the families. Can these two find that HEA that they both hope to have or will the lies they tell divide them forever?
Another amazing hit in this series. Daniel is the third brother in her series you do not have to read the other two to follow this one it is a stand alone. These characters really suck you in though and won't let go until the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This has probably been one of my favorite books from this author in a long time. I love the characters and how they support each other while they struggle to prove their capability and business acumen to their respective corporate board members. Daniel fights to prove to the board members of his father’s company that he is just as capable of running things as his father was. The main problem is that the board is older and resistant to change, especially when it comes to Daniel’s eco-friendly building designs. Brianna works with her family and they tend to treat her like a pretty ornament rather than actually listening to her business ideas. When she decides to open a literary-themed bar, her family dismisses the idea as they have so many others, forcing her to strike out on her own. Daniel and Brianna make an unstoppable force as business partners, but when Daniel pretends that they are engaged to seal a building purchase deal, they take the chance to become so much more. They face opposition at all turns from family, friends, and even their own stupid choices at times. However, throw in an unexpected pregnancy and some real chemistry between them and love will find a way to give them the happily ever after that they both so desperately need. This book was well-written and held my attention to the very end. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series to see how the other characters’ stories unfold and hopefully additional glimpses into the lives of Daniel and Brianna and their business success.
Brianna Roarke has crushed on Daniel Clarke her brother's best friend since he was kind to her in the high school hallway when she was 13 in her first year and he his senior. Both are the children of very wealthy parents. Her family in clubs and restaurants all of the higher kind and his family huge in New York real estate. Now 29 Brianna wants to open a club of her own since her family's board wont give her the credence she has earned by working hard and successfully in the company. Her brother, Devin, the CEO is willing to help her but doesn't have sufficient clout with the board yet so she goes to Daniel now the CEO of Clarke Enterprises who agrees to help her by buying the multi-story building in Greenwich Village while she will lease two floors for her 1920's style literary club. Of course, Brianna's smoking hot body and vivaciousness really closes the deal for Daniel who himself has had dreams of her since seeing her in a bikini at her pool when she was 20. The sizzling chemistry between these two is a treat to behold. Still, we have the usual Ajme obstacle to overcome when Daniel runs into a big problem trying to buy the building. The owner, an attractive woman in her 30's doesn't believe in love but proposes an arranged marriage with benefits. Daniel sidesteps this by saying he is already engaged to you know who. Fun and very very steamy sexy read. Received this ARC and have voluntarily reviewed.
Ajme has done it again, she has knocked it out of the park with this one, I loved Brianna and Daniels story, If you have read others in this series you will know the story behind Zach and Devin too, it is so nice to have other characters from other books crossing over, you feel like you are part of the family. This book had me hooked from the start till the end
Brianna was tired of being treated like a spoiled princess in business, her brother Devin was taking over from their father in the family business, and even though Brianna has helped him build up the clubs she gets no credit, but when she finds a premise for the club she wants to do on her own, the owner wants to sell and not rent, at her brothers suggestion she goes to his best friend Daniel for help, but they end up fake engaged for a month to seal the deal. There are a lot of ups and downs to get where they want to be, as Daniel has a problem with his board too, and he thinks that he cant have a wife and children and a business, as his father proved.
The toughest thing for Daniel is that he found Brianna very attractive and couldn't get her out of his head, but it was always in his mind that she was his best friends sister, and he promised that he wouldn't touch her......well what Devin don't know wont hurt him will it?
This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the whole series, they are brilliant books.
My review can’t do justice to how fabulous and fantastic this story is! I would give it a “10”. This is a sweet, sexy, crazy story - so good! The story has great characters who are attracted to each other. Know each other well. They have great personalities and they seem to enjoy spending time together. Brianna and Daniel have grown up together. Daniel is best friends with Brianna’s brother. Daniel has taken over his father’s company but is having trouble getting his projects approved by the board. Brianna is also having trouble with her brother who is running their father’s business and does not support her projects. Brianna is a go getter. She is driven, energetic, curvy and bubbly. Daniel is aggressive, bold, hunky and handsome. Can these two work together to achieve their goals? Will their work lead to something more? Brianna’s brother has always threatened Daniel to stay away from Brianna in a romantic relationship? Will that be enough? Brianna’s has always had strong feelings for Daniel. What will happen with their arrangement? This is a slow burning love story. The characters are likable/lovable. They are sexy and passionate. The story has drama, twists and turns and an emotional roller coaster. The characters make the story come to life - they click. They have great chemistry. It is a sexy, sizzling, smoking hot, crazy story. Great read. I loved it!

'Maybe It's Fate' by Ajme Williams is the ninth book in her Heart Of Hope series and tells the story between Brianna and Daniel. Brianna works for her family's company but wants to open her own club, her family and the board are 'old school' and think women should be married and support their husbands. Daniel is a real estate developer and also having trouble with his board, and he is her brother, Drew's, best friend. Brianna contacts Daniel and talks to him about her plan, he decides to buy the building and rent part of it for her club. However, the seller of the building wants something more personal from Daniel then just money. He tells her that he is engaged to Brianna without telling Brianna about the idea.
Ms. Williams has written an engaging and entertaining story with great characters and a compelling plot. The chemistry between Brianna and Daniel hard to deny. The added complication of Danny being Drew's best friend adds a bit of angst to the story as well as fun. This story is funny, intriguing, suspenseful, and plenty of heat. The dialogue is quick and interesting, and the characters are likable and believable. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a feisty heroine that doesn't give up on her dreams.

This is the 10th (I think) book in the series, there is a little character overlap from previous books but nothing you would need to know beforehand if you wanted to read this solo.
Brianna is the little sister of Devin (who had a previous book), she's now 29yrs old and single. She's got some great business ideas but all her parents think she's good for is getting married.
Daniel has taken over as CEO after his father passed away. The board doesn't seem to take him too seriously though, maybe they wanted one of his brothers to step up.
These two collide when Brianna reaches out with a business proposition she feels would benefit them both. It turns into a fake engagement situation to try and prove maturity and stability and further both of their plans.
There's no denying the chemistry that sizzles between these two. Pretending to be a couple only sets them up for the inevitable, and jeopardizes Brianna's relationship with her brother as well as Daniel's with his best friend. Sometimes you just have to take your shot and put your chance at love before a friendship that's lasted since middle school.

Steamy friends with benefits novel. 5* This is most probably my favourite book from Ajme. The connection and the description of the relationship, attraction, friendship, mutual respect, and the closeness between the protagonists, Brianna and Daniel felt natural and shown a deeper understanding of human nature, than many books I have read lately. There was plenty of angst in the interesting plot with well-placed tension points, making this novel a very steamy, entertaining, and enjoyable page-turner. All the characters were developed and described very well and the protagonists, with all their faults, were likeable. Both lead characters battle their own hindrances from their past family experiences and pain, that is still affecting their lives and influencing their decisions. Some experiences morphed into such deep-rooted fears that their future happiness is threatened. Fortunately, some home truths kick our hero in the right direction and the tension is resolved into a satisfying HEA. The penmanship was up to the author’s usual standards with good use of English, vocabulary, intelligent witty dialogue, and I would happily recommend this book to all rom-com lovers.

New York City. Two boys who are now men and been friends since they were in high school, maybe before. One family had a boy and girl while theother had three sons. The father in one family made his fortune in real estate while the other father made his fortune in restraunts. One of the sons mentioned runs his father's real estate while the other runs his father's company and has added clubs to their restaurants in NYC and Europe.
Messy? It only gets worse. Devin Roades basically runs his semi retired father's restaurant business. When his sister, Brianna, has helped him design clubs which are now a hit in NYC. Daniel Clarke, who is the oldest of three Clarke brothers runs his father's real estate business.
Now, to take the mess to another level, Brianna wants to sstart her own club, since the board of directors at the Roarke family business won't back her. She has fount the perfect building for her "idea" but the board won't back her. Devin suggests she talk with Daniel, his best friend, to see if they have any open areas in any of their real estate holdings. They don't but when he sees her dream building he asks her if she wants to become partnerds with him if he can buy the building.
Brianna Rourke and Daniel Clarke are entering into a business deal. They both have: Family Companies with overbearing Father influencing Old school minded Board of Directors Innovative minds Business sense unappreciated especially by Father Rule of no relationships because business comes first Devin, brother of Brianna and Daniel's best friend Despite helping Devin set up and run Roarke's Clubs for the last five years, the Board doesn't want to approve Brianna's idea for a new club styled in the 1920's literary world. She talks Daniel into buying the building she found, bucking his Board in the process. Only problem was the owner wanted to add sex with Daniel to the sale. Hence he lies and claims Brianna as his fiancee. Oh by the way did I mention, he's the most eligible bachelor in Manhattan. This is their well written, funny, emotional story of the trials and tribulations of their business and personal life.

This book is part of the Heart of Hope series. I have enjoyed this series so far as the books are great but they each stand on their own. Brianna is Devin's little sister and she is ready to take on the business world with her ideas. Devin's best friend, Daniel is now the CEO, since his father has passed. He is needing to prove himself as he was the not the expected or wanted replacement. Nothing cements your place in the world like a solid relationship, it makes you grown up, shows that your wild ways are behind you and you are ready to set down roots. Right? Well, what can go wrong when Brianna and Daniel decide this benefits them both to be engaged to one another. There is nothing more difficult to ignore then to be told something is off limits. The chemistry is boiling over between these two and there becomes nothing fake about their engagement. Especially when Brianna ends up pregnant. As always a great story to read with a HEA ending that will leave you with a smile. Enjoy!

Their Pretending Path To Reality - Daniel and Brianna agreed to a fake relationship to subvert the constant wanton behaviour of another woman and also help them close a deal. However, the more time they spent together created a highly sexually charged atmosphere and turned their platonic relationship into a friends with benefits scenario. Their subterfuge was soon discovered and created havoc, but by the time all the anger had gone away, there was a new bomb dropped, which changed their lives.
Reading this book was a really enjoyable rollercoaster ride, that was truly exciting. It was great to read about a strong female character, who had the support of an Alpha Male, even though he had his own issues. This book is another magnificent piece of writing produced by a talented author, that I will happily recommend to anyone looking for a great book to read.

Brianna is working hard to prove to her brother, her father and the company board that she is not just "the spoiled princess" but an executive who knows how to launch and run the most successful clubs and lounges in New York. Brianna is working on a pet project that hopefully will get her the recogiznation she craves, IF she can find the perfect building location. Enter Brianna's brother's BFF Daniel. Daniel is working hard to prove he's a better businessman than his father ever was and if pairing up with Brianna to purchase and renovate a building at a nice profit rocks his board then more the reason to join in with Brianna. The catch - the building seller is a cougar who wants Daniel as part of the sale. Daniel's solution - a fake engagement with Brianna. The problem - Brianna and Daniel have an attraction and sparks that they both had been ignoring until this fake engagement. Fate not only allows Daniel to prove his a better businessman, but a better man than his father.
This is a third clone I started with the repeated themes before becoming terminally bored. I won’t be reading more of her books, nor recommend. These characters are all either close friends &/or relatives, but Yada, yada, so flat.
Read two of her books [2nd chance, ❤️of hope] can’t remember which was first since they have same set pattern. It goes man meets woman & fall in lust & love. Sex, sex, sex. He is a veritable Prince Charming, rich, eligible but they are separated. Unplanned pregnancies & births are kept secret as 5-6 years go by. Once reunited the Prince Charming’s welcome their new sons but now feel angry & betrayed toward their loves regardless of the circumstances which caused secret to be kept. Second chance love rekindled, sex, sex, HEA. Kindle Unlimited has much better options, even free ones. Don’t waste your time.
Brianna is the sister of Daniels best friend Devin, so of course there's that inevitably no touching bro code where sisters are involved. Daniel wasn't thinking of that when he was trying to get away from the advances of a woman who had set her sights on him, in fact he was thinking so little of it be introduced Brianna as his fiancee! So we have a fake engagement and we all know how they go, 30 days that's how long this engagement has to last, but just as the time is up theres some unexpected news. There are a lot of different elements to this book, BFFs sister bro code, friends to lovers, fake to real relationship and to top it all off a surprise baby and Ajme has woven them together beautifully.

I really enjoyed reading, Maybe It's Fate by Ajme Williams because it was such a wonderful story about Brianna and Daniel. I loved how strong Brianna was in trying to open her own club. She needed to prove herself to her father and brother and the board. Daniel was a business man who was living in the shadow of his father's ghost and he needed to prove himself to his company's board as well. They came up with a solution that would help them both with their problems. I loved the chemistry between Brianna and Daniel. It was steamy and forbidden. I would highly recommend reading this story. It was nice to see how characters were doing in a prior book. I love reading about that. What a great story!!!

Maybe It's Fate. This book was great! This book was interesting and kept me engaged with the characters. Daniel and Brianna struggle in their jobs with their company's not recognizing them as worthy employees. They decide to go into business together with a lot to prove. They fake an engagement to obtain the building to house Brianna's night club and Daniel's eco-friendly apartments. Brianna's brother is devastated when he realizes Daniel, his best friend and Brianna, his sister are sharing more than a building. This was a great read! This book is part of the Heart of Hope series by Ajme Williams. What a wonderful read about Brianna and Daniel. Brianna is a strong, smart woman, living in a man’s world, who wants to prove herself to her family and the board of her family's company by opening her own club. Daniel is a businessman who has taken over his deceased father’s business and is trying to prove himself to his company’s boards and is also the best friend of Brianna’s brother. Brianna and Daniel come up with a plan that will help both of them out with their problems or so they hope. Will it just make matters worse for them? This is such a great read!!!

Brianna and Daniel join forces to get what they want as far as business goes. Each has to prove they are serious about work and make their dreams come true. Being forced to act like they are engaged to get the building they need, the situations really cause issues. Even more problems come up when her brother finds out she is with his best friend. Best laid plans and all that. The characters are well developed and the storyline has plenty of surprises, drama and romance. Great banter and sass keep the story going. Loved the buildup and the ending. Will be reading more from this author very soon.

Brianna and Daniel's story starts off steamy and just gets hotter, their story is told in alternating chapters giving each one's point of view which I found repetitive as the same detail was told from both perspectives. Devin, her brother is against any relationship between them even a fake one no matter what the reason is - but is it all fake?
Brianna's family don't treat her how she thinks they should as far as the business goes but will that change? Daniel may think that marriage and family aren't for him but Brianna and Daniel seem to be good for each other, they certainly seem to be better together, there's definitely something there but is it real?
Brianna is a strong independent women trying to prove herself in a man’s world. She has been behind the recent success of her family’s business, but all she wants is to be taken seriously. Daniel has taken over his father’s company, but fights daily to be his own man and get out from following in his father’s footsteps. Brianna and Daniel, who is her brother’s best friend, join forces together in a project that will set both on the path to independent success. Love the conflict and challenges they both face while denying their feelings for each other.

Brianna feels that she is not being taken seriously by her father's company. She works hard and has made improvements for them so she is designing and undertaking her own club without them. That is where Daniel comes in. Brianna wants him to buy the building and she will lease two floors from him. They needed to have a fake engagement and where there is smoke there is fire. This is another one of Ajme William's great books. She has the magic that makes a best friend's brother fake engagement book seem new and fresh. I enjoyed this book a lot and can't wait to read more of her books.
