As much as I’ve coached the pro football quarterback to believe he always has a choice, this time I’m the one backed into a corner.

My biggest fears have come true. I’m an adult living with my parents as I contemplate my future. I’ve given up everything to make the ultimate sacrifice, but at some point I need to put what happened behind me.

It’s time to imagine new dreams, create new goals, and cheer for touchdowns that aren’t scored by Jack Dalton.

Maybe then I can pick up the pieces I left behind.

TOUCHDOWN is the final book in the VEGAS ACES: THE QUARTERBACK series. This series must be read in order.

Ahhh my heart. What a beautiful conclusion to this series!

It started off angsty af, I mean… after the last epilogue I knew it would be! And I love angst. But the romance in this book was stellar. Jack made me fall more and more in love with him. Sigh. I cannot believe how much I actually loved him. But he surprised me in the best way in this series and he was the sweetest, the most honest, the bestest father and husband in this book! He totally had my heart.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting the conflict to be solved so early on in the book but I actually enjoyed it a lot because we got to see our characters happy and in love as they got the rest of their lives on track, fulfilled their goals and got their HEA.

And the HEA was actual perfection!! It made my heart so happy!! Don’t forget to download the bonus epilogue! It is the sweetest and has bonus chapter’s in Jack’s POV! It was great!!

I loved these two!! And this book was definitely one of my favs in this series! Lisa started working on her little redemption of Michelle and although I still do not care for her one bit, I know many of you will feel for her. I get it and I do hope she gets her sh*t together and will be a decent mom to JJ in the future. But that aside, I’m excited for the next season and to get more of the past two couples!

I am sorry to see this series end. I love Kate for Jack. The journey to get to this book has been heartbreaking at times. However, the frustration I felt for the two was worth it in the end. Together they “controlled the narrative” and made the ending they wanted together. We do get a few twists and turns before the final chapter, and several do not get the endings they want; I do not agree with all decisions made, but in the end, another fantastic series!

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

I was so glad to get this book! I was feeling down about everything that had happened to Jack and Kate. I was so happy Jack didn’t marry Michelle, and was surprised when Jack and Kate married because of Jack’s father’s will stating he had to be married for a year to inherit the money. I loved seeing Jack so relaxed at Kate’s parents’ house. He seemed so human. Of course everything can’t go right for those two. I was so heartbroken for them as they loved each other so much. Jack’s evil two ex’s got down right and dirty in what they were doing to Jack. Have no fear though, this is a happily ever after. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

In a spiraling touchdown pass into his brother Luke’s waiting hands, the Quarterback Jack Dalton scores a Super Bowl win for the Vegas Aces and earns his fourth SB ring -- and the first for Luke. A perfect ending for this five-book series.

Jack Dalton and Kate Harmon are my favorite couple throughout the Vegas Aces series. I loved their cute meet, suffered through their troubles, detested Michelle, the mother of Jack’s son, and cheered for the whole team of players and their significant others from start to finish.

This might rank up there as one of my favorite football sports-related series! It had a little bit of everything that delights in a hard-fought battle to happy-ever-after! The Epilogue was fantabulous and everything a fan could ask for in finishing out a perfect season with the team.

I'm not going to lie. By the time I started reading Touchdown, the last book of the Vegas Aces: The Quarterback series, I was ready to slap Kate. I know she decided to do what she thought was best for Jack and JJ, but she got on my nerves. Yes, she was trying to be the responsible, bigger person, the one who truly believes that "If you love them, set them free." But after five books, she needed some sense smacked into her.

Thankfully, Jack came to the rescue. It was fascinating to understand who he was and where he was coming from. To finally see all of him. Like the final pieces in a puzzle, Touchdown gives the complete picture of JD5. He is swoony and attentive, protective, and caring. When he loves, he loves hard.

In this book, Michelle and Savannah get what they deserve. And while there is an explanation for Michelle's behavior, I don't believe she is redeemable. She remains despicable. And don't get me started on Savannah.

As Jack and Kate get the HEA (and the overall ending is pure perfection), I must say that Luke and Ellie still steal the show. They are amazing characters and will remain favorites.

maybe I’m being too judgy

First of all I realized if I never read the word “giggled” again my life would be just fine.

I’m annoyed by the lack of closure with Kate’s friends, Shannon and Kevin, I was really looking forward to a 1 - 2 punch 🤛🏻 .

Ultimately, the series easily could’ve been three books. There was just so much needless fluff.

Does this is make me a jerk, because so many people love love love this series and I didn’t?🥸

And honestly, the end was kind of anti-climatic for me, but you know you can’t please everyone and in the end these are just my thoughts and opinion. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the long-awaited finale of Jack and Kate's story. Not going to lie and say that I like that Kate left Jack, with no choice, for his and JJ's sake. I feel like she always makes him work for it and it's always been Jack who had to fight for her. It never feels like she fights for him and for their relationship. This just makes me loved Jack so much more. Yes, he did a lot of wrongs but he definitely redeems himself. You can't help but fall in love with him.

I can't wait for Ben's story next.

Review for entire series 3.39 stars.
Really loved the writing and slow burn between the characters. While the plot just had some obvious road bumps to extend the story I still loved it. I would have loved to have seen a few things to tie up some loose ends but ultimately loved this series and can't wait to read the next planned series.

Really?

Read this, all 5 books, and it boils down to a psych diagnosis?? By the way, personality disorders aren’t exactly ‘easy to fix’. Let’s just say, I have some extensive work background in psych. Not the best series.

The much-anticipated conclusion to Jack and Kate's story is finally here.

"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙆𝙞𝙖. 𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚. 𝙄'𝙢 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣."

Jack and Kate have a lot going against them and trying to break them apart. Kate is overwhelmed and does not want to get between Jack and his son, so she walks away. Jack does not want to give up on what he and Kate have so he is determined to make her see that she is the one he wants standing beside him during the fight.

I was anxiously awaiting the conclusion to Jack's story especially since he has completely redeemed himself since Luke's books. Jack has dealt with so much pain and heartache and I was happy that he finally found who could make him the happiest in Kate.

This book started off a little slow for me but ended up wrapping up Jack and Kate's happily ever after perfectly. I also loved that with the closeness of the group that we were able to see the growth with Luke and Ellie also. I can not wait for the next trip to Vegas and back to the Aces.

Touchdown by Lisa Suzanne (Vegas Aces: The Quarterback 5) is a sports (football) romance which is told in the first-person point of view of Kate and I give it 4.5 Maple Leafs.

Jack sure tossed up one heck of a hail mary in Touchdown........one of those that seemed to float in the air forever, just waiting for his Kia to come back to him.......and when she finally realized what he was doing, Kate definitely caught what he was throwing and hauled it in back to Vegas.

Truly, Touchdown couldn't have been a more perfect ending for these lovebirds. All of the ups and downs that they went through over the course of the series - it only made the feelings they had for one another even stronger. And Jack - what a change in the man from when we first met him in Luke & Ellie's series to now. And while I do think JJ played a huge factor into the change in him, Kate really was the one who opened his eyes to something more. Was he content with Michelle? No.....she was just a means to an end. But Kate, she awoke something in his soul, something that was worth fighting for. I know there were some things explained that made me understand Michelle a bit more, but I still don't like her. I'm not sure I'll ever fully warm up to her character, but I guess I can say I don't hate her like I used to.

Definitely sad that the quarterback's time in the spotlight has come to an end, but I'm so glad Lisa Suzanne will be writing more in the Vegas Aces world!

The conclusion to Jack and Kate’s story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more!

This book starts with a broken heart and as the story progresses the heart is slowly mended and made so much stronger than it was before. I fell more and more in love with Jack. You can feel every ounce of emotion from him and how he feels towards Kate. You can feel Kate’s dilemma on what she should do, but also you can feel how much she truly cares about Jack.

Jack and Kate’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but I love how much the two of them have grown as individuals and how they have grown together. They are truly perfect for each other and I love how supportive they both are of each other.

I’m glad a few people in this story got what was coming, but also glad that there was some change in one of them. My heart somewhat soften towards Michelle once things were explained, however, I’m still not a fan of her, but maybe she can be redeemed at some point.

If you’re looking for a single dad, sports romance that will take you on an emotional journey this book and this series is one to check out!

"As eager as I was to get my hands on this book to find out how everything fell into place, I really did end up taking my time reading this final installment because I knew once I reached the end it really would be over.
Jack positively shone in this book. If you’re still a little on the fence about Jack, after you finish this story you will be falling in love with him every bit as much as I have. Now because I am a wee bit blood thirsty I was honestly hoping for a whole heap more karma to be flung about by the conclusion. Michelle especially but when information comes to light about her I softened just a touch towards her though. This has been such an incredible series to read and I am looking forward to more from Lisa. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

I am so happy Kate and Jack finally get their HEA! They figured out that they are better and stronger together as a team. Their love was hard won but this story left me with a smile on my face. Another great series. Can't wait for more Vegas Aces. ~Cindy

The final book in this Series and What a fantastic read !!!
I have loved every book and without a doubt Jack and Kates stories is definitely one of my fav Series of this year and for so many reasons !!
Getting to know Jack, the real person was a journey of its own. This egotistical, cocky, player that was kind of difficult to like. The complicated relationships, both romantically and family.
The steaming hot connection between Jake and Kate, Sizzling hot !!!!! My heart belonged to him, he was a man who cared, even sometimes too much, yet he hid it well!!!
Twists and turns to keep you captivated and your emotions raw and on edge !!!
I felt this book to the tips of my toes!!
No matter what Jack and Kate felt for each other, there were so many obstacles in their way. Obstacles that would leave their emotions in tatters.
Lisa Suzanne navigated us through their journey sparing not a single one of our emotions. BRUTAL!! AND I LOVED EVERY MOMENT !!
This Touchdown was a total Superbowl Victory !!!!

Touchdown is the conclusion to Jack & Kate's story, so it probably should go without saying that you can't start here, YOU MUST READ Books 1-5 in order! I was so glad that we didn't have to wait for too long before this one was released because I was all in from the jump. There's still a lot of emotion in the pages as their journey was 50 shades of angst with everything swirling around them. All my questions were answered in a very satisfying way, but I do wish that Kate would be able to stick it to her former bestie for something that happened because it was all kinds of shady & wrong. I LOVED this journey so much, and I'm super excited for the next man to get his story (hopefully really soon since I'm totally addicted). You don't want to pass Jack & Kate's story up so you know what to do! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic Ending to Jack and Kate’s Story

With this being the last book in this series it ended as the others with me giving it a well-deserved five-star rating. After first meeting Jack in his brother, Luke’s story in Vegas Aces series, I didn’t think anyone could redeem Jack but boy, did Ms. Suzanne prove me wrong.

I have followed Jack and Kate from the beginning in Traded until the HEA in Touchdown, from their very first meeting, through all of the trials that these two faced to the heartwarming ending.

I highly recommend not only this book but the Vegas Aces: Quarterback series as well.

After having reached the end of Turnover I instantly started looking forward to this fifth installment! I picked it up and got back into the Vegas Aces: The Quarterback world! I enjoyed this final installment!

Kate and Jack’s journey continues! From the first book to the last, I have felt so many things with these characters throughout! I wasn’t sure how everything would play out in this last book.

With Touchdown, Ms.Suzanne has created a good read and ending to this series! I am so looking forward to reading what she comes up with next!

I really liked how this series came together and that through struggles of the past, struggles of emotion, and struggles of family they were able to fight together. I liked that Jack is finding something ad someone who he is willing to fight for and JJ is slowly seeing a real family.

While it is not necessary to have read Luke and Ellie’s story first, it will add a lot to the experience. Luke and Jack are brothers. They have a storied past and family drama that readers will appreciate knowing going into this new series. Jack is a year older than his brother Luke, and both have been playing football since they were small. They come from a football family.

3. Fair Game
4. Waiting Game
5. End Game

Vegas Aces is a series of quick reads that revolves around Luke Dalton, wide receiver for the Las Vegas-based Aces football team, and his best friend and fellow teammate’s little sister, Ellie Nolan. Book one of the series, Home Game, starts with a bang. It sets up the series and ends with an unexpected angsty twist, sure to have the reader ready to grab the next book of the series. Each subsequent book pulls the reader deeper into the mire that Luke finds himself embroiled in.

ABOUT THE VEGAS ACES, SEASON 2:

Vegas Aces: The Quarterback series (Season 2) includes:
1. Traded
2. Tackled
3. Timeout
4. Turnover
5. Touchdown

Vegas Aces: The Quarterback is a series of quick reads that revolves around Jack Dalton, new quarterback for the Las Vegas-based Aces pro football team, and school psychologist/nanny/behavior coach Kate Harmon. This series builds on the Dalton family, this time focusing on the league’s hottest quarterback.

FROM TRADED, BOOK ONE:

The series opens on Halloween, before the close of Luke and Ellie’s series. Jack had learned that he will become a father just a month ago, and more recently his father passed away. He has been making a series of bad choices since. He makes another bad choice on Halloween – and this one goes viral.

Kathryn Elizabeth Harmon, twenty-five, has a plan. With the Van Astors moving to Hartford, Connecticut, though, her plan hits a snag. She studied psychology at UNLV before taking a job as a school psychologist. It didn’t take her long to realize that in reality, she was utilized mostly as an extra body to help with guidance counselors and paper pushing. Disillusioned, she took the opportunity to become a live-in nanny for the Van Astor family. She quickly learned the financial advantages of living with her employers, and she saw an opportunity to save up while reevaluating her career. Kennedy was in her charge, and the family expanded when Miles was born. Kate fell in love with Miles instantly, learning she had a love of babies. But it was Mrs. Van Astor that really inspired her. Kate has learned a lot watching Mrs. Van Astor run her own interior design firm for the past two years. Now, Kate is attending classes online on a part-time basis. If she keeps it up, she will have earned a second degree, one in interior design, in just eighteen months. With the savings she is accumulating, she hopes to open her own firm. But with the Van Astors suddenly leaving town, Kate needs a new job – and a place to live – fast. Otherwise, she just might end up back in Kansas with her parents and pressured to take over the family diner in her tiny hometown.

Jack Dalton, thirty-three and the star quarterback of the Denver Broncos, has had an eventful year. Blood really is thicker than water as the Dalton family rebuilds following tragedy. After years of mean-spirited competition, Jack and Luke are finally putting the past behind them. As Luke’s happy ending began to take shape, however, Jack’s life seemed to be veering out of control. He finds himself about to become a father after some casual fun with Luke’s manipulative ex-girlfriend, Michelle Bennett. He wants to do the right thing, but he is feeling suffocated. He isn’t quite sure how Luke ever put up with Michelle. The league’s superstar quarterback has long played the field, enjoying his independence and the accolades he’s earned. His talent is unquestionable, but it took years of hard work and dedication to get him where he is today. His ability to command is tangible, both on and off the field. On the field, he is decided and precise. Off the field, he plays hard, but about five months ago he began to get careless. With the birth of his son in December, Jack’s whole world changed. Everything is about Jack Alexander Dalton Junior now, or JJ. But as he finds himself traded in the off-season to the Vegas Aces of all places – Luke’s team – and beholden to Michelle’s father’s good graces, he realizes that his professional career is now on the line. His personal and professional life begin to blur. He is on the edge, and everything is at risk if he doesn’t please Calvin Bennett.

That is when Kate enters Jack’s life – again and again. Fate seems to have a mind of its own and a sense of humor with these two as they are thrown together under the most uncomfortable of circumstances. Calvin hires Kate to be his future son-in-law’s behavior coach and to keep him out of trouble as he joins the Aces’ roster. Little does Calvin know that the pair has a history together, brief as it may be. While that one night might have been par for the course for Jack, for Kate it was a different story. It was supposed to have been a night to help her get past her boyfriend Blake, a way to regain a little self-esteem. Instead, it shredded it to pieces. She might have grown up an Aces fan, but she is no fan of the arrogant and condescending new quarterback.

Jack is an engaged man in this book, betrothed to the mother of his child. Kate and Michelle couldn’t be more different. Michelle is high-strung and always dressed to be seen. Kate is down-to-earth and unpretentious. The contrast is stark. Jack and Kate have an often contentious relationship here, but as their jobs force them to spend time together, they learn that they might not hate one another after all. This book ends with a huge cliffhanger, keeping the reader in suspense. Jack and Kate’s story continues in book two, Tackled.

FROM TACKLED, BOOK TWO:

This book opens the morning after Shannon’s bachelorette party, two weeks after Kate began working for Calvin.

The morning after Shannon’s bachelorette party, Kate awakens to find Jack in her bed. Nothing happened, but that doesn’t make it alright. Jack suspects there might be pictures of them dancing together the night before making the rounds on the internet, which would explain Calvin’s calls. Kate panics over the possibility of losing her job, but Jack remains cool and collected. He confesses that his engagement to Michelle has nothing to do with love. He gives a number of reasons for it, but there still seems to be something missing. He quietly confesses to liking Kate – a lot – right before leaving her room. Kate is suspicious of Jack’s motives, though. He has made no secret about not wanting to have a babysitter follow him around. He had promised to behave himself so that she could drink and enjoy her best friend’s bachelorette party, but instead, they ended up in the tabloids.

In a turn Kate doesn’t expect, Jack actually saves her job with Calvin. Their relationship turns a corner here, as Jack begins to open up and let her in. She spends time with him and JJ when Michelle is off in L.A. She sees more of how Jack’s personal life is handicapped as a result of his fame and success. Meanwhile, Jack appreciates Kate’s ability to step up and take charge when needed, or to take a step back if more appropriate. He notices how easy it is to be around her. But there is still a line that cannot be crossed between the two, and Calvin promised not to be forgiving if another misstep occurs. Both Jack and Kate have a lot to lose.

In another step that shows him lowering his walls, Jack takes Kate to Dalton Developments, his real estate development company. He delegates most duties when playing, but in the off-season Jack is hands-on. He moved the offices to Vegas from southern California a few months ago, allowing him to spend more time near JJ. There is apparently a deal in the desert that needs his attention now. Kate finds herself twiddling her thumbs too much, so when Ellie mentions needing help at PCPR, Kate jumps at the opportunity to sit down for an interview. She figures she has enough time on her hands to take on a flexible part-time job.

With Luke’s encouragement, Jack agrees to accompany Kate to Shannon’s wedding at the end of the week, which proves to be a disastrous idea. This book ends in a huge blowout and an emotionally charged cliffhanger as Jack and Kate’s story is about to take a gigantic turn.

FROM TIMEOUT, BOOK THREE:

This book opens during Shannon’s wedding reception after Jack is arrested and taken to jail. It is three weeks after Kate began working for Calvin.

Jack had accompanied Kate to Shannon’s wedding, but the event ended in a disaster that nobody saw coming. A new media scandal arises after Jack is carted off to jail for defending Kate’s honor. Calvin comes down hard on them both, but Jack once again comes to the rescue and saves Kate’s job. Calvin puts them both on notice.

The pair had finally shared a few faint but undeniable moments together, but the tangled web Jack is in brings reality back to light. He intends to marry Michelle. He has come a long way since Kate entered his life; her coaching skills have subtly but surely made their way into his consciousness. He probably wouldn’t need a behavior coach but for his entanglements with Michelle and her father, Calvin. Jack’s intentions may have been in the right place when he proposed to Michelle, but things quickly snowballed out of control. Now he hopes to bite the bullet and marry Michelle for a year before walking away. Kate risks her own job by urging him to look for an alternative solution to his woes, but he doesn’t see a way out. The two trudge forward as his wedding day approaches, but they remain at an impasse. His feelings for Kate are out of the bag, but she won’t be his side piece no matter how attracted to him she really is. She has too much self-respect.

There is a lot of tension in the air as the June wedding draws near. In some ways, Jack and Kate grow closer; in other ways, they drift apart. Kate learns more about Jack and his relationship with Michelle. When they travel to his old home in Denver, she gets to see a little bit of who he was before Michelle stormed into his life. Kate has definitely entered Jack’s precious inner circle, but the closer they get, the more confusing things are between the pair. Kate faces her guilt for what happened at Shannon’s wedding and begins to feel a bit ungrounded by the change in her life. She keeps busy working for Ellie, and Jack gets hyper-focused on his real estate business. The more Kate thinks about Jack’s happiness, the more she begins to wonder if her presence is a good thing for him or not. And she herself doesn’t want a broken heart. Jack has made his choices, although those choices are all about what others want from him. He doesn’t feel that he has the freedom to choose for his own happiness. He simply cannot afford it. The book comes to a much-anticipated but shocking turn of events that will leave you breathless in anticipation of book four.

FROM TURNOVER, BOOK FOUR:

This book opens just before Jack is scheduled to walk down the aisle and say his vows to Michelle. It is about nine weeks after Kate began working for Calvin.

Jack had struggled personally in the lead-up to his wedding. He went hot and cold, but mostly silent as he tried to come to grips with his decision to move forward with the wedding despite his longing for Kate. Kate had found herself increasingly alone as she took the blame from Shannon and Kevin for Vince’s behavior at their wedding and the fallout that resulted from it. Without a best friend, and with Jack shutting her out, she felt very isolated. Her new friendship with her new boss Ellie was perhaps the only good thing she had going for her. It all ended in an epic kiss moments before he walked down the aisle, and Calvin Bennett witnessed it. Kate is left without a job and without Jack as she leaves the wedding to pack up her things; she heads to the Wynn for the night to consider her options. With no place to go, returning home to visit her parents in Kansas and regroup is her only good option.

Ellie calls but doesn’t have much information herself. Apparently, the guests were sent home, too. Rumors about cameras and private ceremonies were in circulation, but there were no concrete facts. But things take an unexpected turn when Jack knocks at the door of Kate’s hotel room, and he has a proposition.

This story takes an unexpected whimsical twist as Jack and Kate escape the media mayhem together and head to Kansas for some time to decompress. But there are still so many unresolved problems, and hiding away only delays the inevitable. Kate’s parents come into the story, and so much more is learned about her here as a result. As she faces her past and sorts out what can be salvaged of her future, it is no longer just about Jack. It is about her. And just like Jack has choices, she discovers that she has choices, too. Their story ends in yet another devastating twist that you won’t see coming. Their story concludes in book five, Touchdown.

IN THIS BOOK:

This book opens where book four left off, soon after Michelle’s threats to obliterate the couple in the press unless Jack agreed to her terms. Jack and Kate had arrived at Luke and Ellie’s, and Kate had overheard part of Jack’s candid conversation with Luke as the men discussed their options. Kate felt there was only one way forward for her.

Kate sees only one viable option available to her, and she begins to understand all the seemingly horrible choices Jack had been making recently. She won’t come between Jack and his son, JJ, so the only way forward is to remove herself from the equation altogether. Perhaps with her out of the picture, Michelle will ease up and Jack will have the flexibility to do whatever he has to in order to secure his future in his child’s life. Jack doesn’t make leaving easy, and things don’t exactly end well between the two.

With no place to call home, Kate returns home to her parents in Kansas. As she nurses a broken heart and takes stock of her life, she realizes she is living the dead-end life she had always meant to avoid. She questions the wisdom of her decision, especially as she knows Jack’s history of spiraling out of control when things don’t go his way. Although she told him to do whatever it takes to keep JJ, the idea of him marrying Michelle, even if just for a year, just doesn’t sit well with her. But when Jack makes a surprise appearance, it has her even more confused than ever. The couple eventually earns a happy ending.

Don’t forget to download the free bonus epilogue via the link at the back of the book – it includes bonus chapters from book one in Jack’s POV!

Watch for Vegas Aces season three – Ben Olsen’s story. Will it be with the Dalton sister? Tight Spot, Vegas Aces Tight End Book 1 is certain to be a riot with Ben as the hero.

Wow! Jack and Kate try to ignore their insane chemistry, but it isn’t always easy. Their ups and downs gradually bring them closer together. Both Jack and Kate become increasingly aware of their feelings for one another, but is that enough? There are some sweet and tender moments, but also moments of reflection and despair. Jack and Kate’s story has been building, and this final segment will have you cheering the couple on.

I enjoy the idea that Jack’s story is somewhat familiar. It is a different Dalton story, but the same horrible woman is still in the picture due to a baby. Both brothers felt pressured to please Calvin, the owner, due to a relationship with his daughter, Michelle. The Dalton family is the same, but the dynamics feel entirely different following their loss. They have moved forward. And of course, the brothers are mending their relationship. Luke was more of an introvert, which isn’t really the case with Jack. So in that way things differ. Ellie and Kate both end up having a one-night stand of sorts with their man prior to living and working for/with them. Each obviously must deal with the idea of her man having a child with another woman. Luke turned out not to be the father of Michelle’s baby, so for him and Ellie life returned to normal. Here Jack must forge some kind of relationship with Michelle in order to do what is best for his son, JJ, and also ensure that Calvin doesn’t purposely tank his career. That complicates things for him and Kate right from the start.

Reading about Jack getting sucked into the drama with Michelle, Calvin, and the Aces feels like a seamless transition. Michelle is a pill! I was indeed anxious to see how she would come across in this new series and how Jack and Michelle would work out as a couple. It seemed hopeless. The idea of totally transforming Michelle wouldn’t have been credible. I like what was done here, though. It is much more believable and very realistic – maybe aside from the whole one-night stand turning into a live-in babysitter job part! That part, however, is a lot of fun so it works well.

Jack and Kate’s forbidden romance comes to an emotionally charged conclusion. There are more angsty twists and turns as Michelle hopes to pry them apart. This book will have you cheering along for that elusive HEA. There is plenty of chemistry as the tension builds between the pair. Normally very controlled, Jack has thrown his carefully laid plans to the wind, but the future remains uncertain. Kate knows from the outset that any attachment to him will only end with a broken heart. Their story will have a few more crazy surprises along the way. The story is nicely written. The plot is somewhat complex. The characters are carefully crafted and real. It is written in first person from Kate’s POV. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review contains spoilers

Let me start out by saying this review contains some spoilers. I really hate when authors portray heroines has complete idiots, woe is me, I’m not good enough, I’ve had my heart broken once in high school and will never put myself out there again type of thing. That being said, I really love the Las Vegas Aces books. But here’s what I don’t like.

The first three books in the QB series, Kate begged and pleaded for Jack not to marry Michelle. So when he doesn’t and ends up with Kate, you would think she’d be happy (for longer than a week). But at the first sign of pushback from Michelle, Kate runs away saying Jack should be with Michelle for the sake of his son. Seriously you just spent the first three books telling him how bad of an idea it was to marry her and now you’re pushing him toward her. It actually made me a little mad. Because she wrote Kate as such a good, strong character with a great moral compass. She wouldn’t sleep with Jack because he was engaged only to turn around and have her cower at the first sign of something going wrong. Would much rather have her stand by her man (cuz they are married) and fight with him as Michelle throws up roadblocks left and right. But the whole running away so she doesn’t cause any problems and let some other woman win is just dumb and not consistent with how she’s been written in the previous books.

That being said, I loved this series. The characters are well developed and you really do root for Jack and Kate. Of course it all ends happy like every romance novel. Living in Las Vegas I have to laugh because we really do have an Aces team but it’s women’s basketball. I read Luke’s story and loved it. I read Jack’s story and loved it. I’m going to read Ben’s story next. They’re very quick reads and you get drawn in to the characters.

Let's be honest, her books are one of a kind. You always think you know what's going to happen but there are so many zig and zags that you have to let go of the fact you think you know what's going to happen. Although A LOT of the loose ends get tied up, she always leaves you wanting more. (If Amazon is right there will be another Vegas Ace's series coming in June 2022.) The extended epilogue is an ABSOLUTE must read. Finally hearing from Jack's perspective just puts this over the top. Perfect-ish ending to another great series. I adore watching all the characters grow and develop over the entire series.

This is a single perspective (from hers) book that wraps up a great series. Enough mini-cliffhangers in this book to keep you powering through. Easy to pick up and hard to put down. A binge worthy series. I will admit some of her choices drive me batty, but that's pretty normal for me now. Finally get our hot and steamy scenes back, although it is mainly a storyline type of book. This book also brings in some more of the sports (not a ton, but just enough.) You laugh, you cry, you get angry, you feel what they feel.

Must read if you are into pro football, personal drama, generally just a good quick book series.

What an amazing series this has been. I have been dreading coming to the end, I figured the two brothers would end the series. Well, I am wrong. Turns out another larger-than-life character, will round out the Dalton family saga. More about that later.

Well, now it was time for Kate to be the one backed into a corner. Michelle and her sidekick Savannah are holding dirt over Jack’s head again. However, this time if it comes out, it can appear to be just shady enough, he could lose custody of JJ in court. There would be no battle when he fights, Michelle in court she would just win.

But, things are never really how they appear especially, in the press or media in general. Two people deeply in love are being torn apart by a vindictive woman and for what? She and her side-kick, love to, ruin lives. When Kate overhears something that she hears, at Jack’s office, she lets his lawyer know. She has faith, he will track down the problem, or the culprit.

Can Jack and Kate find a middle ground and pull their love together? Love this series. Can’t wait to read about Ben who is totally outlandish, and a partier. And also, Kaylee the little sister, to Luke and Jack. That should be interesting.

Amazing ending!!!

Whether you’ve waited patiently for each book or you just flew through and binged them all. This book is the perfect resolution for this series. I adore Jack and Kate and how far they’ve come and I’m just so happy that they get to be happy. I was skeptical of Jack for a while. I wasn’t sure I would like him, but, Lisa really proved me wrong. I also love that Kate doesn’t “fix him.” He knows what kind of man he wants to be for his family and his son and he knows what kind of leader he wants to be for his son and he’s willing to do the work to get there. I loved getting to see Kate strengthen her friendship with Ellie and was so happy seeing Kate and Jack while they spent time with her parents.

We also definitely get some resolution of the Michelle issue and I’m so happy with the way it was handled. Savannah is still out there and probably planning chaos. But, at least for him, Michelle seems to be headed in the right direction.

This was such a fun series and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this world.

Finally, love!

Just when it seems that Kate has everything she was asking for, she starts feeling like she is the one causing Jack to have to go through so much pain. So she decides to let go. Life has to be easier without her coming in between him and his son right?

Truth is I believe she got scared. Scared that he was betting so much on her and their relationship. With all the craziness it seemed like the easy way out. To Jack's credit his love didn't waver. He was hurt, but he kept trying to show he loved her. That he for sure wanted to be with her. Eventually they got it right and were able to move forward together. The Superbowl scene was my favorite. Jack's growth was front and center and it was awesome to picture.

I really wanted to know did her design firm come into fruition? I wondered what their life was like as they expanded their family. This series was drawn out, but I enjoyed Jake and Kate.

An Awesome Finish to an Amazing series!

This series has been a hard one to put down once, I started reading didn't want to stop for anything . I absolutely loved Jack & Katy's story, it has so much drama, angst and then love and happiness plus the sexy never hurts either. If you haven't read Luke's story (Jack's brither) I highly recommend reading it, then this series, because you get to see Jack in a totally different way, the two stories also inter-connect with storyline and characters. If you love a great football romance, don't be deterred by the 5 separate books in this series, it actually helps break the book up some plus you get the added benefit of some awesome cliffhangers. So, in case you can't tell, I highly recommend this series, it's one you definitely won't ever forget.

wonderful series

I have absolutely loved every sports themed series written by this author. They keep me interested, invested and I find myself rushing back from my chores in order to read more. I love the way this author writes and intricately describes the scenes. It’s as if I am right there with them. I guess if I had one complaint, I would say that I believe the series could’ve been written in three books. I guess it’s just a little disappointing that most of these books were well under 200 pages, And two of the books together were essentially well under what a typical book usually is. So, sadly it’s almost as if they were broken up for monetary gain. However, I still very much enjoyed the books and love the writings by this author. The sports series’ written by this author will always be in my “read again” file.

Perfect conclusion

Touchdown by Lisa Suzanne
This the final installment in this great series. I at first was not connecting with the story because of the engagement. Then I kept reading book after book and you can’t help but start to connect with the story. I loved the way the author connected all five books and kept us on our toes trying to guess how things would play out for Kate and Jack. The twists and turns keep you wanting to read page after page to get the answers swing in your mind. I honestly can’t tell you enough times to go and grab every single one of the books in the entire series it is a must read for sure. I can honestly say that the whole entire series and the conclusion to Jack and Kates story was a hands down Touchdown.

This review is going to be for the whole series of the Vegas Aces: Quarterback.

First let me say that this series was so much better than the first. Not that I didn't love the first because I did but Jack and Kate's story had more emotion. More emotion that at one point I was in tears.

This series is a rollercoaster of events and emotion that I just could not stop once I started. So I am glad I binged it because I am not a patient person and I would have been going nuts when these originally came out.

I will say that after meeting Jack in the first series he did a 180 and whole heartly redeemed himself. This series is definitely intense and emotional but also super sexy and swoony sweet.

I looking forward to more of the Vegas Aces.
