She’s got a bucket list, and I’m hoping I’m on it.

Relationships should be short and sweet, or so I thought, until I meet a woman who shows me what an idiot I’ve been.

An enchanting mix of innocence and sensuality, she’s part surgeon, part daredevil.

She wants my help with her bucket list, a list filled with adventure and a hint of danger.

The only thrills I’m seeking are in her bed, but once I find out how hot this filly runs, I know I can’t walk away.

We agreed our fling would last until the last item was crossed off the list, and now the clock is ticking.

But how do I convince her that I don’t want things to end?

How can I show her that I’m not just a toy and actually win her heart?

Time to be bold.

Jessica Mills loves the HEA found in a Hallmark movie, must have coffee first thing in the morning, and a homebody that loves living in the country. She’s definitely family-oriented and an animal lover at heart except for snakes….nope!
She recently relocated back to East Tennessee with her husband and daughter to be closer to family, she has a son that lives in Florida, and three furbabies that complete her everyday life. She’s always wanted to be a writer and put the stories from her head to paper.
She never thought that would come to fruition until she met Ali Parker.

Evan and Sadie are about as opposite as you can get. He's a player and a cowboy. She's a serious resident in orthopedic surgery. Her bucket list brings them together and they start a relationship that will only last until the list is finished. Their chemistry is amazing and it doesn't take long for feelings to develop. What happens when neither wants to bucket list to end? They challenge each other to step out of their comfort zones. The book was a good book that I enjoyed but they drove me crazy at times. The start was a little slow but it didn't take long for things to pick up. I read a complimentary copy via the authors and voluntarily chose to write a review.

A very enjoyable story with Evan who is the guy who just wants to have fun and hates his work on the ranch yet while working gets hurt and that is when he meets Sadie. Sadie is the girl who feels she needs to prove herself yet with the advice of some friends she makes a bucket list and so the story begins.
These 2 characters brought a lot of fun to the story and it was great following the growth of these characters. Would I recommend? Yes, the author is talented in conveying a feel good story with some interesting people. People that I feel you can connect with.

This is a fabulous story that will have you begging for more from these two best selling authors, Jessica Mills and Ali Parker. This is the second book in The MacAllen Brothers Series and we have plenty more to discover so I know that I've got more to look forward to with anticipation! Evan MacAllen is a happy womaniser who , despite seeing how much his parents and twin brother and wife Lilah love each other, he has never experienced love for himself. He is also seeming to leave his work on the family ranch. When he injures himself by accident his Mum, Mama May, insists that he goes to see a doctor for treatment. This is where all of Evan's expectations about love, life and women fall apart when he meets the gorgeous Dr Sadie Wilkins. Now Sadie has basically been on her own since her parents were killed in a car accident when she was 10 years old and went into the foster care system. Her best friends try their best to get her to experience 'life' but she's been concentrating so much on her career to make her life stable and secure that life seems to have passed her by. But then Evan walks into her office and he discovers her bucket list, encouraged by her friends, and as he is extremely attracted to her, he offers to help her with the list if she will help him have some time off work. Thus begins the adventure of their lives. Expect red hot steamy passion, humour, compassion, security, witty banter, being enveloped and included by a loving family in the best way possible and with a wonderful storyline and characters that I almost feel as if I 'know' them and would like them as friends. Who will be next to experience their HEA? Another brother or the only sister? I can't wait to find out :). I received a reader's copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

“Bourbon Bold” is the second of the Macallen Brothers books by Jessica Mills and Ali Parker. You don’t need to have read the previous book in order to enjoy this one. This writing team is so good together though, that you’ll probably want to grab the first book by the time you’re done with this one.

Evan is known by everybody as the irresponsible brother, the guy who only wants to party and have a good time, get busy with girls and get into trouble. The one thing in life he really despises is life on the ranch and all the work that goes along with it. While taking a foolish shortcut at something in an attempt to rush through his chores, he gets an injury that leads to him meeting Sadie. She’s a brilliant and beautiful young doctor who’s spent her life trying to prove her worth. She’s recently created a ‘bucket list’ with the encouragement of her friends. As the story evolves, Sadie and Evan make an agreement that he’ll help her get the items on the list accomplished in exchange for something she’s in a unique position to be able to provide for him. You just have to go with the flow on this! This is a romance novel so it’s not difficult to predict where the story will eventually go. What you should know is that the journey the authors take us on with the characters is wildly entertaining and so rewarding. Both Evan and Sadie are great characters who grow and evolve in wonderful ways because of one another.

If you did read the first book in the series, you’ll recognize a lot of the secondary characters and you’ll get an update on how Evan’s twin brother is doing. I’m not sure which sibling will be featured in the next book of this engaging series, but I am sure that I’ll be reading it as soon as it’s available.

Evan and Sadie Are Better Together ⭐❤❤❤⭐

Welcome back to Lubbock and the MacCallen Ranch. A very entertaining story featuring Evan AKA Easy Evan, and orthopaedic doctor Sadie. Different as night and day but compliment each other beautifully. A tweaked back and trying his best to get away from the ranch life bring Evan and the good Dr face to face and a bucket list keep them in close contact for a limited time. Sadie has no life outside of work except for her two besties that are trying to get her out of her comfort zone. Together they learn what life is truly about but the guilt of deception weighs heavy on their hearts. As Sadie's bucket list grows shorter so does their time together... or does it?? Could the irresponsible Evan and hard working Sadie admit life is better together? Great characters, his/her POV, no cheating and a HEA!! This is the second book in the series but can be a stand alone, but why not read in order to meet the other characters. Must read this character building book end get addicted to three MacCallen clan. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and happily purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Looking forward to the story.

I pretty much knew right from the beginning that Evan and Sadie weren’t going to manage to keep this short-term, no-strings-attached fling within the parameters they initially set. After all, what fun would their book be if they were able to achieve that? I was all in for this ride to see what it would take to crack Evan’s reputation as a Player, because after meeting Evan in his twin’s book, I knew I wanted to know what made him tick. Sadie is one hundred percent all work, no play, so I wasn’t sure how these opposite worldviews would mesh. I loved watching them inspire one another out of their comfort zones. Sadie was able to embrace some spontaneity into her life, while Evan was looking a bit more grounded. It broke my heart when they both realized that they were scared of what they could have, and what they could lose. And while a part of me just wanted to take them both and shake some sense into them, I also wouldn’t change a thing about their story.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

I received a free copy of the steamy Whiskey River, Texas set novel Bourbon Bold: The MacAllen Boys, Book 2: Evan and Sadie by Jessica Mills and this review was given freely.

This steamy opposites attract novel ultimately ends happily but is disappointing in that it depicts career focused orthopedic surgical resident Dr. Sadie Wilkins performing an unprofessional display of public nudity. Once I got past that, I enjoyed the ongoing lives of the close knit but often plain spoken and critical MacAllen siblings; Sadie’s quest for work and emotional security; and Evan’s “Come to Jesus” moments when he realizes he hates inactivity and that his reputation with women is ruining his chances with Sadie.

A back injury results in the self-centered, fun-loving, one night stand, playboy Evan MacAllen forming an agreement with his workaholic Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Sadie Wilkins where he gets a month of lazing around the ranch in exchange for him helping her to complete her adventurous bucket list.

18+ for intimate scenes.

good series

This is another good series about family of brothers and 1 sister finding themselves in their small Texas town life. This is book 2, Evan and Sadie. Books don’t need to be read in order, but helps.
Overview: Evan as known as the Man Whore or Easy Evan by his family. He is nothing like his twin Elijah. Elijah loves the family farm and cowboy life, Evan doesn’t like it and is always looking for something else. So when Evan hurts his back, Mama May send him to the doctor. What he didn’t expect was the hottest doctor in the world to help him, and help herself. Sadie was finishing up her residency as an orthopedic doctor when Evan comes in. She notices that he is no as injured as he said and starts asking questions. Sadie grew up in foster care since her parents died suddenly and decided early on she wanted a different life and focused on work vs play. So her friends challenged her to a bucket list. But she’s not brave enough to complete it alone. Evan wants a fake note off manual labor at the farm, while she gets to complete her bucket list.

Evan the cowboy that does not want to be a cowboy.
Sadie who is an orthopedic surgeon and has worked very hard to get there.

Could there be two more opposite people in the world? But somehow they meet.

Evan hurts his back and goes to get a letter so he does not have to work on the farm his family owns. He just needs a break.

Sadie, who has been so serious with her studies, makes a bucket list that she thought she would need to complete.

But once Evan walks into her clinic, things change for the both of them.
There are sparks coming from both of them. But Evan is the world's biggest player. And Sadie is not that experienced in the area.

Can they help each other out? Can they do this without getting too involved?

Well you will have to read it if you want to find out.

Great second book in this series.

This is the 2nd book in the Macallen Brothers series by this terrific written duo. The story is about Evan and Sadie. Sadie, an orthopedic surgical resident. Evan shows up as her next patient and asks for a favour. Evan is the party hound in the family, the irresponsible brother. He makes a pact with Sadie that he’ll help her with her bucket list if she writes him a note. You can’t help but root for these characters and want to see them get their HEA. Very enjoyable story. I look forward to the next one. I voluntarily received an an arc copy of this book from from the authors and bought a copy as well.

Love always finds a way. Evan MacAllen, a.k.a. Easy Evan, is a one night stand master. He is not looking for love and doesn’t expect to find it, but when he meets Sadie, all bets are off. She brings out feelings in him that never existed before. He never thought he would fall in love, but Sadie grabs his heart and holds on for life. Forget all those one night stands, Sadie is the real deal and he loves her like no other can. What a great book. Evan starts out as a cocky, do whatever I want to, no commitment man. Sadie takes his heart and gives hers to him. Absolutely wonderful love story. It’s so great to see Evan grow up, fall in love and reach new heights. Fantastic!

So glad there are a lot of MacAllen boys! This is Evan's story. He is the twin brother of Elijah from the first book. Evan is a playboy and is tired of working on the farm. He hurts his back and goes to a doctor who turns out to be gorgeous Sadie. She has been long dedicated to her career and her friends convince her to write a bucket list and live a little. She and Evan agree that in exchange for a somewhat bogus doctor's note excusing him from work for a month, that he would help her with her list. Very amusing story with the various items to be fulfilled. Great characters with lots of love-making. Such a lovely read and I truly enjoyed it!

Story of Evan and Sadie. This is the second in The Macallan Series by Jessica Mills and Ali Parker. These two authors sure know how to write about hot men and romance. They didn't leave any out in the first book and didn't skimp any on this one either. I guess you could read this as a standalone but you would miss so much of the family dynamics that way. It's better if you read the two books in order. I'm sure they will be writing more as this is only the second brother I think of 6 or 7 and one sister. So there are quite a few more books that can be written. I will definately be buying and reading them as soon as they are available.
Fantastic book.

While working on the ranch Evan hurts his back his mother sends him to see a doctor who tells him that his back is fine but Evan wants a month of work so the make an agreement she gives him a month of rest as long as he helps her complete a bucket list. Little does he know or she know that sometimes we cannot control our emotions is Evan finally met his match and will Sadie finally live her life. Highly recommend it I really enjoyed

This is a well written book with strong ,well developed characters in Evan and Sadie. The authors once again do a great job building the story and painting their scenes perfectly. They pulled me in with the "bucket list" and watching two opposites come to terms with their true feelings for one another and seeing them come together. It moves fluidly with their descriptive writing and they deliver another terrific read. Loved and recommend this book.

An excitement filled romance for the twin who is easily bored

Sadie, an orthopedic surgical resident, is thrown when Evan, the reluctant cowboy, is the next patient she sees and he asks for a favor. As the story progresses the favor is granted, terms are struck, and as the list whittles down the truth of their feelings could put a halt to everything. Jessica Mills created an excitement filled romance for the twin who is easily bored. The interactions between siblings will make you chuckle in remembrance if you have siblings of your own, I know I did.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Ethan doesn't like working on the ranch, he's a player and that's all he wants to be, he asks Sadie an, orthopaedic surgical resident, to help him get out of work. She wants his help completing her bucket list so they make a mutually advantageous arrangement.

What follows is a sweet yet steamy romance, that is until she dumps him in Hawaii! I enjoyed watching their relationship change and grow, they had great chemistry, they may be opposites but they are perfect for each other - but will they see that in time?

BOURBON BOLD (The MacAllen Boys #2) By Jessica Mills & Ali Parker
This is a fun, entertaining, solid well written story about Evan and Sadie. Sadie has spent the last dozen years working on her career and is an orthopedic surgical resident working in a clinic. To convince her friends that she knows how to have fun, Sadie creates a bucket list with several daring items. When Evan is looking for a way to get out of work he makes deal with Sadie to help with her bucket list. This starts them on a crazy adventure together. The passion between these two is combustible. This is a 5 star read.

Sadie and Evan is such an entertaining story! Sadie is an orthopedic surgeon and during her residency she meets Evan who needs a favor. Unbeknown to him, Sadie has this bucket list that she wants to complete. They agree to help each other and have a relationship until her list is completed. Their journey is fun filled and challenging for both. Will they want it to end? Great story and you revisit some of the other characters . This is another great story by Ali Parker and Jessica Mills. I volunteered to review this story.

This is the second book in The MacAllen Family Series. Evan and Sadie's story is well written, funny, sweet, and entertaining. They are both great characters, and opposites attract. Evan is handsome, sexy, and funny. He is Elijah's twin. I loved him in Whiskey Wild, and I was really happy to have his story. Sadie is a lovely resident, smart, serious, and reserved. She is determined to get through her bucket list, with the help of Evan. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. Some scenes are hilarious. Evan's family is amazing! I can't wait for the next book in the Series!

Can two people be more opposite? Sadie is an over achiever who puts off any semblance of fun while achieving her goal to become a doctor! Evan is the fun loving twin who does anything he can to escape his life on the ranch and the work it entails.
The two meet when Evan tweaks his back and ends up as Sadie’s patient. He works out a deal to help her complete her bucket list if she’ll give him a pass from work for one month.
And the fun begins as the passion builds.
A wonderful second book in the MacAllen Brothers series!

Evan has a reputation as a ladies' man and is totally opposite of Sadie. When they connect, she set parameters for their encounter which was until she completed her bucket list. Now that they are getting close to meeting it, feelings are coming into play. Does Evan have a chance of getting an extension on his time going into happily ever after? This story draws you in and have you cheering this couple on to going beyond her bucket list! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

What a way to make me love a guy that I wasn't super fond of! Evan is popular with the ladies but not so much around the farm. I enjoyed seeing his character grow and how his connection with Sadie helped with that. The story is fun, getting Sadie out of her shell and working on that bucket list adds some smiles and spice! The siblings keep things entertaining and I can't wait to read more about them.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Loved it

Oh I just loved Evan and Sadie story!! They make such a great couple!! When Evan told he would help her with her bucket list if she gave him a doctor's note so he didn't have to work for the next month he had no idea he was going to finally fine the woman that would tame him and he would give up his wild ways for and Sadie would get the family she wanted so very much!! I would recommend this book to everyone!

What a team!
That can apply to both the terrific authors and to their characters. Initially it seems that Sadie and Evan wouldn’t have anything in common as she’s a serious orthopedic surgeon while he’s a cowboy and a “player”. However, when her “bucket list” brings them together! Amazing chemistry combined with stubborn personalities makes for a different and amusing love story.

This is such a brilliant read.
There is an instant attraction between Sadie and Evan but he is a womaniser and she is an orthopaedic doctor with a very steady and boring life.
When he finds out about her bucket list he offers to help her fulfill them but what he didn't count on was to fall for her. Could she ever love him back.
A book not to be missed, full of drama and emotion but also so much love. Absolutely loved the ending.

Book 2 of the MacAllan Boys and what a ride Evan's story is ,because he is the one who never settles down and leaves the ladies first but his match is made when he meets Sadie and together they come up with a plan but what happens when feelings get involved and hearts get broke? Cam they find their way back together or will it be to late? Great book and connected with the characters emotions and Heartbreak and fears and just loved the whole entire family and book

Book 2 in this series. Evan and Sadie are as different as two people can be. He’s a player with a reputation of not wanting to settle down, she is a very serious orthopedic resident who thinks she knows what she wants in life. That is until her friends challenge her to do a bucket list. Can two people who are so different be just what the other needs? Absolutely. This book started off a bit slow but if you stick with it, it does get much better. In fact, it became enjoyable to read.
