She is his escape. He is her shelter.

Mia’s been on the sidelines her whole life. Her parents have never been interested in her, and the only constant in her life has been her best friend, Ava. But Ava’s gone and fallen for a Devil—and everyone knows the Devils are trouble. In fact, trouble is now knocking on the door, threatening them all.

Mia has no intention of becoming involved in the drama, but she can't deny she's worried. So when Ava insists that Mia needs someone to watch over her, she reluctantly agrees.

Enter Ash Santo.

Ash is not Mia's idea of a knight in shining armour. He’s a player on the field—and an even bigger player off the field. But she finds unexpected shelter in his arms, and she can’t help falling for his charms.

Ash is still reeling from the revelations about his ex-girlfriend and his cousin. Desperate for an opportunity to escape them both, he begrudgingly agrees to watch over Mia.

No one is more surprised than he is when Mia proves to be an enjoyable distraction. She's flirty, sexy, and fun. It's problematic because his cousins told him to stay away from her; they already have enough problems without him messing about with Ava's best friend.

They told him to resist temptation. But what if he doesn’t want to?

And what will happen when the danger stalking them finally emerges from the shadows?

Three guys, three girls, one game. The Devils are playing to win.

Ruthless Charm is the third and final book in the Ruthless Devils series by Eve L. Mitchell, which follows Ash and Mia’s story as the primary characters, along with Ava, Jett, Quinn and Gray as the side characters.

Ash and Mia have such an intense and interesting dynamic, which we’ve gradually been led into their romance throughout the series and got to know each character separately from the POV’s of the other characters in the previous books.

These two are also so distinctively different to the other characters/couples in the series that I was wholeheartedly captivated by the beauty in the storytelling. There were moments that I felt like I was right next to the characters as the detail was just so perfectly written.

I deeply connected with Mia on a number of levels, and I think that drew me more into the story. Plus the swoon worthiness of Ash, is out of this world.

Ruthless Charm was the perfect finale, with each couple's stories entwined and captured through to the right moment in time. I might not have wanted this series to end, as I was fully submerged in the world of the Devils, the emotions and the mystery, but I’ve never felt so completely satisfied with the end of a series. I was left with zero questions, and it was rather lovely having this feeling of completeness.

I know in the coming months that I’ll definitely be re-reading the Ruthless Devils series, and I think it will stay as a favourite series from Eve L. Mitchell.

Eve L. Mitchell has honestly outdone herself with the storytelling of the Ruthless Devils series, and Ruthless Charm was the lighthearted bow we needed to wrap up these books.

Ruthless Heart, was intoxicating.
Ruthless Desire, absolutely broke me.
Ruthless Charm, captured my heart.

Ruthless Charm is the last book of “The Ruthless Devils” trilogy, and it tells the story of Ash and Mia—a very interesting duo.
Mia, she was sort of a drama queen for some moments, but she’s also an amazing character and a girl that’s, after all, lonely and not used to being told what to do. And Ash… well, he’s the devil, isn't he? He is a playboy yes, but he isn't just that, he has much more layers than I was expecting to.
While the Devils are taking care of Ava and Quinn, Ash moves in with Mia, and spending time together led them to see that, maybe, they could more—this situation led them to see beyond the bedroom. This duo matches in an imperfect perfect way. They both have their imperfections, they're both stubborn (as hell), but their connection, their chemistry and the ability they have to understand each other is insanely unique.
Plus, it was such a pleasure to see Jett, Grey, Ava, and Quinn having “important” roles throughout the book. I adored the dynamic between them. And the loyalty and friendship existent between the Devils gotta be highlighted by me because I absolutely love it.
Reading this book was certainly an amazing and incredible experience.

Thanks, The Next Step Pr, for the ARC!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Second chance
Angst: 😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: none

I absolutely loved this book - probably my favorite one of the series! Seriously, what could be more awkward than having to move in with your one night stand? Not much, as Mia soon finds out after the trouble her friends have gotten into end up having them concerned for her safety - hence moving Ash into her place. The Devils are still trying to find out who is targeting women on campus and they're not going to let one of their girlfriend's best friends live by herself. Ruthless Charm is the third book in the Ruthless Devils series and I would not recommend reading it by itself.

This series has really been great. The overall story arc was interesting and I felt as though most of my questions had been answered. The characters, in this story in particular, were just wonderful together. The chemistry between the two of them is fantastic and it made for super hot smexy times. Ash is super laid back, a flirt and a player who is completely full of himself. Mia is a redheaded firecracker who is wound up to the max. He drives her nuts. She drove him nuts. In the end, they really were supportive of each other and their needs. Super awesome read.

PS. I'm REALLY hoping Onyx get's his own book, lol 😉

This is Ash and Mia story and I absolutely adored it so much. The banter between these two is hilarious and There was times I got frustrated with them but that’s like one of my favorite things. I love all the feelings.

The Devils are major alphaholes that I enjoyed so much. I love getting bits from each couple and seeing them all together.

I absolutely enjoyed this series so so much! Each book flows so well together and you get the answers you need as well as get a look at each individual couple.

10/10 ⭐️ and I know I’ll be reading these all again!

Ruthless Charm is the third and final book in The Ruthless Devils series and tells the story of Mia and Ash.

I'm so sad that Ruthless Charm is the last book in The Ruthless Devils series. I'm really attached to all the characters, I loved reading their stories and I loved the overall story line in all three books. Like the two previous books, Ruthless Charm was an amazing book. This entire series is so addictive, well-written and has amazing characters.

Ruthless Charm tells the story of Mia and Ash, and I'm so glad that I could finally read about them. Since all the stuff happened with Quinn, I really wanted to know how Ash was feeling and what he was thinking about. I was also really interested in Mia because she didn't always seem like a good friend, but now I understand her a bit more. I really liked reading about Mia and Ash, and seeing them fall for each other.

Ruthless Charm was such a good book, and I really enjoyed reading it. I finished this book in one day because it was that good. I'm so happy that I discoverd Eve L. Mithcell's books and I'm so excited to read more of her books. I'm also really hoping that we're getting a book about Onyx. PLEASEEEE!

If you're looking for a Sports Romance/College Romance series with spicy scenes and an interesting plot, then I highly recommend The Ruthless Devils series!

Ash and Mia pull, you right in and won't let go. These have a chemistry but both deny it, a slow burn with a twists and turns that will make your head spin and take your all your emotions and scrambled them up. With each page Ash and Mia give you everything and you will fill it all. Mia not used to be told what to do, has to have Ash move in with her while the Devils take care of watching over Ava and Quinn, but the more they spend time together will they see that they could be more or will one or other not see beyond the bedroom? These two took me on a read that kept me glued to my kindle. It revealed some secrets, and had me on pins and needles wanting more. I was disappointed but with an ending that will make you smile and wanting more. I so can't wait to read whatnthis author has next.

Why is there only an option for 5 🌟....this needs more....much much more at least 10 🌟 Brilliantly written with so much emotion, I so wanted to shout at Mia and slap her at times but also I just wanted to hug her, she was just so lonely in reality and then when the twins attacked her verbally I was furious with them...really snarling and growling at the book....and don't get me started on Ash, seriously!!!! But that's why I love Eve's books they bring out so many different emotions its like a rollercoaster ride without leaving the sofa.....This Devil's series has been phenomenal and bringing it to a close with this outstanding book is just truly magical

I’m absolutely obsessed with these Devils & their alpha females! Also… the amazing ability Eve has of capturing my full attention from page one until the book is done! This book, and every book I’ve read that she’s written so far, is always so well written and in such a way that the emotions feel so real. I become so enthralled in the book that I can’t function in my real life until I’ve finished. I feel so invested in the characters it’s hard to let go. I’m so sad this was the last in this series, but I’m crossing my fingers that we’ll see more of them, directly or indirectly, in the future. Oh and I cannot wait for Onyx’s story😈😈

Holy fudgeballs on a cracker...

I absolutely love the Devils- their loyality and bond with eachother is everything even with the girls.

After the emotional ride in book 2, i loved the flirty banter between Mia and Ash- i had a good chuckle in parts and loved Mias substitute swear words 😆...

Without spilling the beans-
Ash really surprised me, i wasnt expecting to love him as much as i do plus the "episodes" was an eye opener. Touché Eve.
Poor Mia she didnt exactly get a choice to begin with, she was thrown in and struggled- and i thought i was stubborn 🤣🤣

They were just a casual hookup, both looking for a distraction....
Amazing what you can find when your not looking 😉

More the 5stars 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
(I have my fingers and toes crossed for Onyx- hes another level- dark and mysterious 🤤)

“Because Ash Santo has marked you as his, and, Mia, he’s every bit as possessive as his cousins.”- Quinn

Ok, don't tell Jett but Ash is my favorite Devil.
He's playful and sarcastic and protective, but he's also vulnerable, which I did not see coming.

After the heaviness and angst of Desire, this brings a lighthearted-ness to the series. We know Ash is a playboy, and, being a Santo, an alphahole. Mia is very independent and outspoken. So putting them together in close proximity is bound to cause some friction.

There are some dark moments still, as the full circumstances surrounding what happened to Quinn, and what the boys found afterwards, are brought to light. We also get a sense of despair from Mia, with her relationship with her mom, and her sadness at the growing bond between Ava and Quinn.

I'm still on the fence about Onyx. His loyalty to his brothers and cousin keeps me from completely writing him off. We'll see where his story goes. Hopefully Eve will also give us a glimpse of our Devils out in the wild.

There is something to be said about Eve L. Mitchell and the characters that she writes. She writes them flawed, real and full of emotions and honestly I have to say how refreshing it truly is. She creates these book worlds that you become completely consumed by and maybe a little bit more than sad when you have leave them. That surely was the case with Ruthless Charm; I absolutely loved the Devils and I was not ready for their journey to end. However, I am still holding out hope for Onyx's story one day! fingers crossed

Mia & Ash... Where to even begin? These two were perfectly imperfect. Both had their imperfections, their defense mechanisms and boy were they STUBBORN BUT their connection, their ability to truly understand each other (even when everyone else didn't) was amazing. Mia is thrust into all the devil's drama, and although at times she came across a bit selfish her reactions were very relatable and brutally honest (I liked that about her), when pushed she pushed back. And Ash, I was not expecting him to have so many layers, to be more than "the playboy"... his sweetness, his unwavering loyalty... I honestly loved everything about him. Dare I say it but he might be my favorite devil.

I cannot tell you enough how much I absolutely loved Ruthless Charm! Threats are resolved, situations from past books are addressed & friendships are mended. ALL the feels in Ruthless Charm! SO GOOD!

This is, hands down, my favourite book of the series. Ash has always been my favourite of the Santo boys and this book firmly cemented him in first place in my heart.

Mia has gotten dragged into the situation with Quinn and her life is almost completed upended in this book. She and Ash are pretty much forced to live together to make sure that Mia is safe and it’s fair to say that she chafes under the restrictions. What I love about Mia is that she’s not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself. At the same time she is feeling a little like the third wheel because Ava and Quinn have become so close.

Ash is also feeling a little bit like the third wheel, more so than usual. Even though he’s not happy at having to stay with Mia Ash is very protective of her and he can’t deny his attraction to her.

Mia and Ash are my favourite couple of the series and I’m a little sad that the series is over because I would love more of them

I Love this book! The whole series has been fantastic! Ash and Mia were perfect for the last book. While there was drama because the boys are devils and alphaholes this book was lighter then Gray and Quinn’s story. Mia was a bit of a drama queen but I would be too if I was thrust into the situations she was. But she grew and adapted throughout the book and I love her. I really liked how the Quinn situation was resolved and that Onyx was in this book.
I loved how situations from book one got addressed and that the whole series flowed really well. I am going to miss the Devils. Hopefully Eve is not completely done with them.

I absolutely loved every word of this book. Mia and Ash's story is the perfect wrap up for this series. They are sensational and I was completely sucked in throughout this book. Once again I was both laughing crying and on the edge of my seat, and can I say book hangover!

Ruthless Charm is the final book in the Ruthless Devils series and here we finally get Mia and Ash's story. I feel like this couple has been teased from book one and I was very excited to finally get to their story. When Mia is unwittingly thrust into the Devils' world and is subject to the danger that lurks within, Ash is the lucky guy who has to protect her. This is somewhat of a forced proximity situation and, with these two having a bit of a past, sparks fly. I really enjoyed their banter and the humor in this installment in the series. It had a lighter feel to it despite the dark overall story arc. I enjoyed getting a further look into the other couples and seeing the friendships grow and develop. This book and the couple didn't quite have the same level of intensity as the other books in the series. But, overall, I certainly enjoyed this couple and the conclusion to the story.

I’m conflicted about this book. I really enjoyed the first two books was looking forward to the conclusion. But I couldn’t get on board with the way Mia’s life was turned upside down with neither her consultation nor her consent, and was then gaslit, had her opinions/feelings invalidated and was slut shamed every time she brought up her incredibly valid reasons for not being okay with that. On top of that, the Santo’s, Ava and Quinn were all incredibly hypocritical. It made for an uncomfortable and frustrating read, I wanted Mia to say “fudge you all” and leave them to it.

The conclusion to the main conflict that ran through the trilogy wasn’t particularly fulfilling and this took place off the page and was only mentioned to be wrapped up in passing. Same goes for answers about the football careers of the guys - very little is said other than a sentence at the end. I haven’t read this author previously so maybe that’s just how she tackles her wrap-ups and epilogues but it left me wanting more.

I’m hopeful there’ll be a book about Onyx which will tie things up a bit more and give us more of an insight into what really happened - I have more questions than I do answers. But also genuinely invested in Onyx as a character!

Well... talk about another book hangover. Another series by Eve L. Mitchell comes to an end, and I'm just sitting here, looking around, trying to figure out what to do with my life.

Ruthless Charm was a great ending to the series... like seriously, if it had to end, at least it ended with this book. Ash and Mia are adorable, despite Mia being a wee bit dramatic for my taste sometimes. But it all balances out, particularly when she and Ash are together.

I'll be honest--I'm a fan of one night stand stories. First, because it's just a hilarious subject that we can all relate to... and second, because it makes me realize that none of my one night stands were ever so interesting.

Only Eve L. Mitchell could write a series in a genre that I have always avoided (alphahole sports romance!) and make me a simp. And while my heart will always belong to Gray... I definitely have a soft spot for Ash.

Check out this series... you'll not be disappointed.

So this book I felt like started off with a bang. I mean finding out about Ash and Mia “Red” was a surprised but inevitable! I felt like we had enough suspense that carried over from previous books regarding the janitor and the baby stealing ring that I was dying to find out who was who and who did it but also enjoyed the heated arguments and back and forth between Ash and Red! I mean definitely didn’t disappoint with the heated moments and drama! I felt terrible for the things Ash has been through, I think it’s real for a lot of people and they can related as it can happen and affect anyone especially someone going through it along with those around you. I felt it was touching how caring Quinn was with him and that they still have this great understanding between one another.

Mia has a strange relationship with the Devils especially after her best friend Ava is now dating Jett.
Ash has been warned to keep away from Mia to avoid complications but the chemistry is strong between them.
The threat is still real and Ash is sent to protect Mia, but she certainly gives him the run around, confessions are made, help is offered & questions are answered.
Another great story.

i hate gray. i literally don’t give two shits about quinn and her problems. mia has valid reasons to be mad at them for dragging her into their mess. they invalidated her feelings and insulted her and gaslit her. everyone was a turd for the way they treated mia. ash was no better, he stood there and watched on quietly as they all belittled her. ava is supposed to be her best friend, what kinda friend stays with the idiots that called her friend a desperate slut?? she’s a bitch. god i just wanted mia to stand her ground and tell them all to fuck off. she was completely right when she said that quinn’s problems are not her problems. people are not responsible for your shit. i don’t care how harsh that sounds.

this was uncomfortable and maddening to read that i had to dnf it. i hated the way this book was so focused on quinn and her problem. she was too involved period.

{i've had to cut some of these quotes down bcus apparently i have excessive content quoted in this review, so pls look at my highlights for the entire quotes}

“You know, all week, I’ve had my life messed with....Then, just when I thought, you know, I’ll do something to make me feel better, to get control of my week back again, my apartment gets broken into and vandalised...”

“I am truly, truly sorry for everything you have gone through, Quinn, I am...but your problems are only my problems if I’m with you. Or associated with you...I’m sorry, it’s just...it’s just not my drama.”

she has every right to act this way because it literally wasn't her problem. she barely knew quinn but the assholes (santos, ava and quinn) dragged her into their mess without her permission.

“She didn’t want to be here, and honestly, I agree with her,...I didn’t want her here, and you didn’t want to be there,... Do you know she said that what happening, what was being threatened to Quinn, was not her problem?...I mean seriously, not her fucking problem. Well, she isn’t fucking mine.”

it would've been better if everyone except mia and ash died. i don't see how anyone can like a shithead like gray.

“You’re being a bitch,...My best friend is in trouble, real trouble, and all you care about is how it inconveniences you. You resent Ava’s new friendships and relationships, and I’m going to make this very clear and simple for you...too fucking bad.”...Fuck off. You’re the most self-centred person I’ve ever met,...“You left Ava that night of the party, you leave her every time you’re out together....She is always alone even when she is with you. And now, Ava has relationships that don’t need you—she does not need you—and you just can’t fucking handle that.”

“she doesn’t need you. Ava is amazing, and her friendship with Quinn is something you hate...“My best friend is in trouble, my girlfriend could be vulnerable, my whole entire focus is on keeping them safe, but Ava, being the perfect person she is, made us include you. No one wanted you involved, no one wanted you. And you know it.”

this fuckface jett doesn't realize that her girlfriend is a grown woman who should be able to handle herself without needing her friend to babysit her every second of every day. mia is not responsible for her mess. mia is allowed to be selfish. ava, this bitch, just sat there like a muppet hearing her boyfriend insult her friend and didn't think for once second to shut his mouth and tell him that she's capable of taking care of herself. that what happened to her wasn't mia's fault. but nope that bitch stayed quiet. and i hate how the author brushed off everyone's shitty behavior toward mia. yeah ava and mia are best friends but that don't mean anything. if they don't respect you in any way, they don't deserve you. and i believe ava didn't deserve mia.

this bothers me a lot bcus this kinda stuff happens a lot irl too. and i just want people to know that you don't owe anyone anything. be it friends or family. don't let anyone invalidate your feelings. their problems are not your problems. you are not responsible.

I liked this one better than the second in the series, Ash is a likeable guy. (book cover tag line says merciless and devious but I think that is a big stretch) Mia had her moments of greatness but it was overshadowed by her big moments of personal failure that come with her drinking and insecurities. That said, this book felt like the most realistic based on 19 year olds and their general level of emotional intelligence. Unfortunately, we also get more of Gray's mean spirited, judgmental, nobody asked you, "tough love" which makes him no better than he was in book 2. He's not learning anything and he's okay with that and it's gross.

Ash was more interesting after his disorder reveal but coming so late in the book it made me feel like a lot of the pacing was off in this book. Additionally, the author flirts with the beginnings of some kinky desires in the last two books but doesn't delve into it which made the sex scenes anticlimactic (pun intended) and leads to more pacing issues which felt even more out of sync in this book.

There is a lot more room for follow up books on these kids. There is real life obstacles heading their way and I'm not sure how such a codependent friendship/familial relationship like Jett, Gray and Ash have will handle them.

In the second book, I didn't think I'd ever read the book that was so clearly coming for Onxy but this one smoothed him out a bit and not I'm... intrigued.

Disappointed in the ending

I’ve enjoyed the series but was kinda disappointed in this ones ending. I would of liked Ash to chase Mia not have her act like a two year old. She was a strong female and I feel she deserved to have the guy fight for her for once!

RUTHLESS CHARM is the third and final instalment in Eve L Mitchell’s contemporary, new adult THE RUTHLESS DEVILS college sports, romance series focusing on twins Gray and Jett Santo, and their cousin Ash. This is college sophomores Ash Santo, and Mia Davis’ story line. RUTHLESS CHARM should not be read as a stand alone as many of the events of Ruthless Charm are as of a direct result of the events in book two Ruthless Desire.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

NOTE: If you have not read book two, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Ash and Mia) RUTHLESS CHARM follows in the wake of an attack against Quinn (Ruthless Desire) and the lingering threats to our story line heroine. Now that Gray’s girlfriend Quinn, and Jett’s girlfriend Ava, are more or less living part time with their respective loves, Mia finds herself at the mercy and protection of Ash Santo when he is forced by his cousins to live with our story line heroine but Ash and Mia’s previous one-night stand left a lingering emotional upheaval, and their attraction to one another is masked by disdain and anger. While Mia’s freedom is curtailed, she finds herself at a crossroads going forward but the need for personal autonomy forces Mia into questionable actions, actions that may threaten her life going forward. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Ash and Mia, and the potential fall-out as the cousins begins to unravel the who, what and why of a campus predator.

The relationship between Ash and Mia is tempestuous at best as Mia struggles with the invasion of her privacy, and the potential loss of friendship as her bestie Quinn is quickly pulling away. Ash doesn’t like the separation from his cousins or the forced proximity to the nineteen year old woman that pushes all of his buttons but the palpable, sexual attraction can no longer be denied, and in the end, our heroine will suffer when rumors and innuendo threaten her hard fought stability. Mia’s reputation at Cardinal Saints College is questionable and unwarranted, and in the end, Mia refuses to bow to the smear campaign that could ruin her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include the return of Jett and Ava, Gray and Quinn, their brother Onyx Santo, as well as musicians Shane and Wade from Atticus Dawn. The power the cousins wield at Cardinal Saints College reflects in their attitudes; the young men and women are often naïve and immature directing vitriol and hate at every opportunity. I believe the author has plans for a spin off focusing on Onyx Santo.

RUTHLESS CHARM is a story of power and betrayal, vengeance and hate, family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is spicy; the characters are wounded, spirited and energetic.

With trouble still lurking around them, the Devils have decided that none of them are safe, including Mia. And while she appreciates their concern she is also not so sure about living with Ash, he pushes her buttons like no one else, and she's not so sure they will survive being confined together. But it's what is going to keep her safe and what will make her concerned friend happy, so she goes along with it. Not realizing it's about to change every bit of her life... for the better!

Between the pages of Ruthless Charm you will meet two people that despise one another most days, but can occasionally find common ground here and there too. They knew living with one another would bring out the worst in one another, arguing at every turn, but what they didn't expect was bringing out the best in one another too. They maybe different from most angles, but they seem to understand one another on levels that no one else every really has before. They compliment each other, where one is lacking the other makes up for it. It's a unconventional union, but one that also makes perfect sense. In each other they found someone that they could trust, rely one, love, and that was foreign for both of them, as they have never really had that before. But as scary as it maybe to them, it's something they don't want to let go of... it's that once in a lifetime kind of love.

I thoroughly enjoyed what these two brought to the pages, there were moments that made me laugh, ones that squeezed my heart, and a few that made me blush... it was a perfectly balanced love story. This one wasn't as dark and angsty as the first two installments, it was more humorous and light-hearted, and ended the series on a perfect note! I truly loved every moment of it, highly recommend!

This is the 3rd and finale of this amazing series and is Ash and Mia’s story. Mia is fun, flirty, and stubborn, and after growing up with parents who paid no attention to her, she just wants to be loved for being herself, and when she is dragged into some of the Devil’s drama, her best friend pushes her into accepting some protection. Ash is a playboy, and he agrees to stay with Mia and keep her protected and safe, and these two are equally as stubborn as each other. Ash finds that resisting the temptation of Mia is impossible, and the dynamics between them is intense, with undeniable chemistry. This is a wonderful finale with each couples’ stories being entwined throughout. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with drama, danger, suspense, twists, emotions, mystery, loyalty, friendships, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I will always love Jett. And always adore Gray's attitude....but I think, just barely, that Ash is my favorite! His an Mia's story was the beautiful little bow on the series to me.

When I read the first book I was immediately hooked. I really liked Ava and Jett wasn't so bad either. Then I read the second book and I was disappointed. I can't stand Gray. Not in his own book and especially not in this one. And even though I disliked the second book I HAD to read the last one. Ash was just too tempting and he did not disappoint. Funny, nice, and definitely ten times better than his cousin Gray. (As you can see I really dislike him..)
I am however not happy about the ending. I wanted this story to go out with a bang but it was more of a wahhhh.
