In a city where image is everything, Gabriella turns heads for all the wrong reasons.

The marks that slash across her neck and face turn people away. But I see the beauty that lies beneath, feel a kinship to her pain.

I regret the way she found me—mugged and left for dead. I should walk away, follow the rules, but I can’t. I want to see her again. There’s only one problem.

My brother convinced her I’m gay.

I use that lie to my advantage, persuade her to be my pretend girlfriend, to help protect my fake-sexual identity from my judgmental family. But what starts as a shameless excuse to be near her leads to crossed lines and midnight confessions.

I’m not who I led her to believe. I’m sin wrapped in silk. Betrayal masked by beauty.

And she’s not the only one with scars…

Inhaled, starts off where the previous book left off but can easily be read as a stand-alone, slow burn filled with goodness. Loved his flamboyant side, to his sweet side, his secrets were a surprise which I didn't see coming, these two were perfect for each other. Can't wait for the next book...

I was a little nervous starting Rebel North. Wild North was one of my favorite books this year and I knew going into the story that Kingston was going to be a very different kind of hero. I was worried I might not connect with him the way I connected with Alexander. That the story wouldn’t live up to the high I experienced with Wild North.

In the end, those fears were completely unwarranted. I mean, I didn’t connect with Kingston the same way I connected with Alexander because the two characters could not be more different from each other, and their stories were very different as well. But if I my fear was that J.B. Salsbury wouldn’t be able to pack the emotional punch, or deliver the same heart-clenching, butterfly-inducing feels? That was straight-up ridiculousness.

I was positively addicted to this story, belly filled with butterflies, heart completely smitten with Kingston, and absolutely in love with every minute I spent between these pages.

That said, it’s worth noting that this was not the story I expected from a character like Kingston. Salsbury threw in some unexpected twists and they were so perfectly threaded into the storyline that realizations sort of crept up on me in a way that kept my heart knocking around in my chest, and my fingers furiously flipping pages. Kingston and Gabriella had a sort of desperate love - which is catnip for me. The feelings come on fast and furious, but it felt natural and unforced. I mean, I’m a sucker for a man brought to his knees by love, and Gabriella was a completely loveable heroine who was impossible not to root for. She was smart, quick-witted, and unbelievably strong. As their story unfolded, I loved how she handled Kingston’s ego, and how he gave her space to grow and heal and become her own person. Theirs was a lovely, compelling story and…sigh. My heart is just so obsessed with these North brothers now.

If you haven’t picked up this series yet, I can’t recommend it highly enough. The first two books have been remarkably different from each other, but both managed to completely consume my heart. I am all-in for these North men at this point and cannot wait for the next one! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

5 stars!

This is a beautifully written story – funny and so entertaining, but also dramatic and emotional, with a passionate, intense romance that completely owned me. This is a gorgeous friends-to-lovers story with so much heart, and I loved it!

This is the second book in the North Brothers series, the story of Kingston, who was a complete scene stealer in the first book, and who is a fascinating and unique hero, and Gabriella, a sassy woman with a traumatic past.

Kingston is the youngest of the North brothers and is considered the black sheep of his family. While he enjoys his wealth and privilege, he doesn’t work for the family corporation, and seems to have little to no direction in his life. He is constantly and cruelly belittled by his father and his a-hole brother, Hayes, and his unique style, fashion sense and preference for wearing eyeliner paints him as even more of a target. But he is so much more than he seems.

I’m able to create an image that works like a smokescreen. Attractive enough that people befriend me at face value and have no interest in digging deeper.
And thank goodness for that.
Because if they look beyond my designer clothes and pretty face, they’d see me for the royal fuck-up that I am.

Gabriella is also a mystery. She’s lived through trauma which has left her badly scarred – inside and out, and though she’s sensitive about her scars, she is brave and bold, and has a wickedly sarcastic sense of humour, and I loved how strong she is! But there’s this sense of the unknown about her, you know that there is so much to learn, and I couldn’t wait to uncover her and her story.

Kingston and Gabriella meet in unusual circumstances, and though there is a spark between them, she is led to believe that he is gay. She agrees to act as his fake date for an evening, which is wonderfully entertaining and so freaking hilarious, and the two of them form a fast friendship that is easy, natural, and complicated by the fact that they are both attracted to the other, which they do their best to ignore.

I loved seeing these two together. They are playful and funny, and the sexual tension is so good! The chemistry is electric, and it builds beautifully as we watch them fall for each other.

“You’re falling for me.”
“Oh, my God.” She laughs and avoids my eyes.
I rest my arm on the back of the bench and scoot closer to her, “Tell me I’m wrong, and I’ll back off.”
Her expression sobers, and she blinks while still staring ahead. She finally turns toward me, and I see my future play out in her blue eyes. Us, together. Forever. Fuck, I am so in love with her. I always have been.

And when the big moment comes, I was bouncing up and down with excitement.

“I’m not gay. I’m not bisexual. I’m a heterosexual man, and I have wanted you. I want you.”

The romance is sexy, swoony, and so, so right. Things between them change so naturally, and it was gorgeous watching it happen. They are absolutely beautiful together, and I was riding on a wave of romantic bliss.

Where my world was once wrapped up in success, money, or living up to my family name, it now is condensed into one beating heart inside this woman.
She is my world now.
And I plan to make her mine forever.

But they both have secrets, and they are both carrying scars from the past – literally and figuratively. There is a lot they have to work through, and there is heartache and a lot of soul searching as they unpack their pasts and figure out how to move forward. With twists and turns, and some epic surprises, I was captivated as it all unfolded, and I watched them work to deal with it all.

I press a kiss to her head and run my fingers through her hair. “Take all the time you need.”
I mean it. Even if she needs forever.

I love these characters so much. Kingston is sweet and kind, with a huge heart, and though he is arrogant, it’s in a charming way, and he has a phenomenal sense of humour. He is flawed and lost, and is living with terrible secrets, trying so hard to find his way. He absolutely owned me, and I thought his journey throughout the book was beautifully written. And as much as I obsess over book boyfriends, Gabriella almost steals Kingston’s thunder. Her strength, wit and epic sarcasm made me fall madly for her, and as the mysterious of her life were revealed, I came to appreciate her more and more. They are such a wonderful match for each other, and I loved seeing them find their way through their drama to reach their happy ending.

I loved seeing Alex and Jordan from the first book, and we get to see more of the rest of the North boys – and wow, there are going to be some interesting books coming our way! I am so excited to explore more of this family, and can’t wait for the series to continue.

Such a beautiful story, with just the right mix of emotion. I loved it!

5 stars.

Absolutely brilliant!

Warning: You think you know but … *cackles* (I thought I knew so …)

This story entertained me in the best possible way. The characters were as humorous as the storyline while also being emotional and intriguing. Honestly, as the layers of the story and therefor Kingston and Gabriella started to unfold, I was enraptured with them. I could not get enough of not just them as a couple, but also as individuals. Both with traumatic circumstances of their own to overcome and grow from, they made for the best kismet couple ever! I was so in love with these two it’s ridiculous!

Completely different but just as powerful, Rebel North and Wild North are easily two of my favorite reads of 2021!!

oh boy...
I gotta say that the H (Kingston) is so NOT my type of a guy...LOL, I had a hard time picturing him as he is...but that's my personal preference and it didn't really have the defining result in the aftermath...

What I liked is the gradually built up storyline, until the very revelation of the "truth" I really enjoyed the whole "getting to know one another" scheme, and then when the "truth" came out it all felt stretched for me and predictably prolonged...I mean, we all know that the HEA is the final result, I just felt dragged towards it...*shrugs*

But yet again, this might be only me, so this painfully beautiful second chance romance might be just the right type of drama for you!

Ahhh I didn’t know if this would top Wild North, but I think it did!!

The first book of this series is one of my favorite reads of 2021 so I admit I was nervous about getting my hopes up with this one. Of course I had nothing to worry about. I loved Rebel North just as much as Wild North! These brothers are soo different and yet they both are atypical in different ways. The heroine was also lovely, with a scarred face and a mysterious past. I loved Kingston and Gabriella together and I am praying that Hayes is next! 5 stars!!

This is basically 5 stars but I didn't believe that the H would rent the out the apartment and the giant coincidence of the tenant. It had been going so well to that point and the author made it work - I just didn't believe it. Other than that, this was a fantastic read. It beat True North, hands down.

The reveal took me by surprise and I then went back and re read the MCs' scenes together.

The writing was amazing.

I look forward to Hayes and his legal secretary and their novel. Theirs will truly be an enemies to lovers story.

description

Wild North, the first book in the North Brothers series, was one of my favorite reads of the year. So I was really looking forward to Rebel North. When I first met Kingston I knew there was more to him. He is a party boy who jokes around and acts like nothing fazes him. However, he is putting up this façade to hide the things he is dealing with. Kingston is the black sheep of the North family, and I didn't think I could hate his father August more than I already did, but he definitely succeeded in this book. This book starts with Gabriella (Bee), who works at a hospice, finding Kingston knocked out drunk in the alley. This was a pretty unconventional first meeting, which I really enjoyed. Things progress and these two finds themselves becoming friends. Bee assumes Kingston is gay because of something his brother said. And this results in many funny moments. This also helps in Bee opening up and trusting him. However, she can't help but still be attracted to him.

Rebel North was more on the lighter side and definitely had its funny moments. The development in Bee and Kingston's friendship/relationship is very organic. I really loved seeing these two spend time together and getting to know each other better. There were a few emotional moments that broke my heart. Because both characters are dealing with trauma. I really enjoyed seeing them heal and helping each other. However, I also really appreciated that the author let the characters grow as individuals. They needed to overcome their past trauma and look to the future. Both characters were amazing and I loved their personalities a lot. JB really knows how to write great unique characters. I always fall in love and am able to fully connect to them. Rebel North was a great and fun contemporary romance and I already look forward to the next North brother's story. I really hope Hayes is next, even though he really needed to be slapped a couple of times in this book. I currently have a love hate relationship with him.

This was out-fucking-standing!!!
Another North brother has stolen my heart.

I am so in love with these words, this story, these characters. I’m filled with so many feels and swoons and tingles and my heart is bursting with so many emotions and all the love.

MY HEART IS FULL.

Kingston hooked his claws into my heart in book one, and I couldn’t wait to dive into his story. I just knew he was going to be all sorts of amazing. This story definitely packed a punch and not only did it pull at my heart strings, it tugged and twisted and knotted and shredded them. Then in the end, tied them back together in a pretty little bow.

Kingston and Gabriella’s connection was strong. Like Superman strong. They just knew how to read a room, how to respond and react, how to take care of each other. They protected each other with a fierceness that was enviable and heartwarming.

They understood.
They had each other’s back.
They GOT each other.

I was drawn in, emotionally invested from cover to cover. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Powerful and heartbreaking, passionate and sexy. Emotion-packed and beautiful. Haunting and unforgettable. I couldn’t get enough.

This story was quite the surprise. I knew it was going to be good, no doubt about that. But it was so much more than that.
There was so much more to Kingston. He’s more than his flamboyant behavior, his fashion, his style. There’s a complex, intriguing, and broken man beneath all that velvet and eyeliner. This story kept me guessing, it made me want, it made me need. It had me wanting to shout at the world to read it.

No amount of words will do this book justice. It rocked my socks off. I wanted to scoop up Kingston and Gabriella and wrap them in the biggest hug. They’ve both been through so much, and still had a lot more to go through to get their happy ending. It wasn’t always a smooth ride, but the ending? It was perfect.

Ms. Salsbury sucked me in with book one. She kept me hooked through book two. And now I’m itching to get my hands on book three. I never want to leave this world, because the North brothers.

I need book 3 yesterday.

UNPUTDOWNABLE ride ahead 😍😍😍

I just couldn't stop reading this one. Right from Page 1 I was totally hooked.
When Gabriella finds a stranger in the back alley of where she works in the middle of the night she's conflicted thinking he might be just some drunk. But when she looks closely at his expensive clothes and that face, she feels he might just be a guy going through something, so she helps him out.

Never would I have guessed this one would be a wild ride of love and how timings work.

Oh my.. It all gets all the more complicated when Gabriella presumes Kingston to be a gay man. But Kingston is such a smarty to use that to his advantage. 😉😉

Kingston is one of the four brothers of the North family. But he's always treated as an outcast by his own father but his brothers are good to him except Hayes who's just a a-hole always.

But what we don't realise until later why Kingston acts the way he does acting lazily and throwing attitude all to hide a secret about him, I never saw coming.

Gabriella is a FREAKING AMAZING WOMAN WITH HER TIMED PERFECTLY CLEVER, INSTANT SARCASTIC JOKES. THAT WOMAN JUST MADE ME LAUGH SO MUCH.
But what I really learned from Gabriella is you might struggle with your imperfections and scars but don't ever let anyone put you down and never to take someone's mean barbs as hurt but embracing them and giving them just as good.
AHH that woman's responses is what I fell in love with. Everytime she has an answer for everything.

WHEN THAT TWISTER COMES OUT OF NOWHERE...... I WAS LIKE WAIT WHAT.. 😳😳😳😳.... I HAVE TO SAY I WAS MORE THAN SHOCKED TO LEARN SOME THINGS WERE NOT MERE STUMBLINGS BUT MUCH MORE.

Oh I loved that twister and how all the more intense and layered the story got. READ READ THIS ONE FOR THE FUN, WITTY BANTER, A CHARMING DUO OF KINGSTON AND GABRIELLA AND A HECK OF ROMANCE THAT'LL MELT YOU COMPLETELY. LOVED LOVED THIS ONE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rebel North didn’t disappoint. I could have read more about Kingston and Gabriella. I didn’t want this book to end! I wasn’t sure about Kingston in the beginning of the book. He seemed a bit flighty and had a hard time fitting in with his brothers, father or mother. He had a skill for fashion and design but had trouble finding an outlet. Gabriella came into his life at the right time. She was sweet but her scars prevented her from breaking out of her shell. That is until Kingston needs her help. I loved the friendship that these two had in the beginning of the book. It quickly morphed into more but the foundation was there. The pair find their groove and I loved watching them rediscover themselves. Finding their individual passion and dreams they thought they couldn’t obtain or weren’t worthy. It isn’t easy but we watch them stumble before these two can give themselves 100% to each other. Kingston’s brothers are just as intriguing and I can’t wait to read about the other North brothers.

This book… sigh! OMG I laughed A LOT, I was hot-n-bothered FREQUENTLY and dang it, this author made me tear up. The cruelest thing, she SURPRISED the heck out of me. I was devouring this book thinking I knew what to expect from both Kingston and Gabriella, WTH, I was blindsided and you will be too. Soooo flipping good.

This story is NOT about a rick prick, filled with his bad behavior until the heroine saves him from himself. Eye Roll. Ugh that has been done before. This book is so unique I can’t sing its praises enough. My mind is still blown away by the creativity of this telling and how madly in love I am with Kingston and all his brothers. Not feeling it for the dad though. Ugh he is a piece of work and I hope eventually he gets his. Yes, I am spiteful that way. Sue me.

Kingston’s character wins for best dressed and most secure in his masculinity. Swoon. He truly is delicious and more than impressive. Wink. Gabrielle is compassionate, quick-witted, and resilient in a way that can only be viewed as admirable. Read this book and I know you will agree.

I can’t wait for all the brothers to get there own books but in the mean time I will swim around in all the beauty of this telling. Eek. I see a reread in my future. I can’t help it.

I wish it was an option to give a book more than five stars cause this one is definitely worthy. Happy Reading Everyone!

I was surprised at how much i enjoyed this! It had an unexpected twist that I really liked because i didn’t expect it.

I loved Kingston. When the fmc is describing him she says he gives off Harry Styles vibes and it’s like an instant love there for me. I loved how he’s softer with his emotions and cares about his style. He was really great towards the fmc as well.

Gabriella was great! She was strong and confident despite the scarring she was nervous about. I loved her interactions with Kingston and his family.

I really enjoyed the plot and the growth of the characters. It’s definitely worth a read! I haven’t read the first book yet but did download it and will be starting it!

WOW!! Just when I thought that Wild North will probably be the best among this series... I. Was. Wrong.  Rebel North was equally addictive and a real page turner.

The twist was something else,  I didn't saw it coming. *yey*

I love these brothers... they started to carve their place in my heart. And although I may not like Hayes' character as much as the others, I want his book next. Though I have this feeling that I have to emotionally prepare myself.  😁

Rebel North is book 2 of the North Brothers series,  and although this book could be read as a standalone,  it will be enjoyed better if you start with book 1, Wild North, which by the way,  is one of my top reads this year.  ❤

Sexy and unique

Just like the first book in the series, this has a completely unexpected storyline that keeps you on your toes while reading - making the reading experience that much more immersive and unique. I was a little skeptical of a plot that revolves around a fashion-obsessed, Harry Styles-like hero who pretends that he's gay in order to hang out with the girl he's crushing on, but it actually worked pretty well. These two are able to develop a friendship and a true emotional connection... despite the fact that our hero is hiding a few important details. I loved the chemistry between them, and the forbidden element added an extra something special. The whole book was interesting and sexy with an emotional edge, though it didn't quite stick the landing. The lackluster ending cemented my decision to go with a 4-star rating, but I seriously enjoyed this overall.

The story follows Kingston, a former playboy who comes from a wealthy, powerful family, but has never fit in. He suspects that he's dyslexic, so design and fashion have always spoken to him more than numbers and money. Kingston is used to people assuming that he's gay because of his style, but it wasn't until he met Gabriella that he used that to his advantage. When Gabriella believes that Kingston is gay and hasn't come out to his family yet, she offers to be his plus-one at events. Insecure about the scars on her face, Gabriella finds it easier to believe that Kingston is an off-limits flirt than to believe that he's genuinely interested in her. But as the two spend more time together, they develop a friendship that feels like more - and it's only a matter of time before Gabriella learns Kingston's secrets.

There's a level of unpredictability that kept me hooked the whole way through - the reader is clearly missing some information at the start, and I was curious to see where that was going. Plus, there's the fact that Kingston flirts with Gabriella from start to finish, but she's so insecure about her appearance that she just doesn't see it. I liked Kingston a whole lot more than I expected to; Harry Styles has never been a crush of mine, and Kingston really does spend a lot of time talking about fashion, lol. But it was easy to see how much he was growing to care for Gabriella, and something about seeing him out of his element was very endearing. These two are great together, and it's their imperfections that bring them closer. I loved the focus on the emotional connection, but there was definitely plenty of spice by the end as well. Really, the only thing I didn't enjoy was the ending. Not that I hated it, but it did feel both drawn out and rushed at the same time. With a stronger ending, I think it's very likely that I would've bumped up my rating. Still - this was quite good.

Kingston is used to being judged due to his colorful personality and sense of style but that is only part of who he is. He comes from a rich and powerful family but doesn’t fit in with everyone but when Gabriella comes to his rescue, he senses a kindred soul and knows that she is special. He isn’t about to let her walk away even if it means pretending to like men as her brothers have mistakenly led her to believe.

Gabriella’s past has changed her and although she is accustomed to being looked down on by others, she has a fierce spirit that doesn’t allow her to back down from anyone or anything. When she comes to Kingston’s rescue a friendship soon develops even as she tries to deny the chemistry between them knowing that he would never be attracted to her or any other woman.

Kingston and Gabriella are soulmates as they connect with each other on so many levels. Humorous banter, painful pasts and all the feels as this swoony romance gives Kingston and Gabriella the happiness they both deserve.

This was emotional. Which is surprising because the first book only stimulated boredom.

I love our flamboyant flirty mmc, Kingston, who is in touch with his feminine side without losing his masculinity. We love a secure king.

Also that plot twist was unexpected but made so much sense when you think about events that happened earlier on in the book. I love when things click.

Book two in JB Salsbury North Brothers series and Kingston story was totally surprising and addictive reading. I really felt for Kingston. The youngest of the North brothers, he definitely sees himself as an outcast….the rebel. He doesn’t want to be like his brothers and be nailed down to the family business and having to answer to his tyrant of a father, who takes every opportunity to belittle him. I don’t know how he deals with Hayes either - that brother definitely needs a woman to put him in his place lol

Anyway back to Kingston and Gabriella. You wouldn’t think this friends to lovers scenario will work. These two characters are so different to one another, but equally they need each other to gain courage from broken pasts and secrets.

I don’t really want to give too much of the story away, as there is a cracking twist to Kingston and Gabriella’s story. Their love story is very unique and absolutely perfect.

I’m just loving this new series that JB has created. Can’t wait for some more North Brothers!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: (not going to mention because it's a spoiler)
Angst: 😰😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: none

This was truly a wonderful story that had some heart wrenching ups and downs. It was very well written and had a unique storyline and unique hero. Kingston is a man shrouded in secrets, compressed into the hole he has made for himself, yearning to be set free from the chains he finds himself in. He is flamboyant, he wears his heart on his sleeve, and try as me may, he just can't stay away from Gabriella. Gabriella is a survivor who is merely surviving. Horribly disfigured from an accident she can't even remember, she hides from her past life, working in a hospice. Everything changes when she meets Kingston, drunk, beaten, and mugged outside her work door. He needs her help, but is the one that slowly brings her into the light. This is a bit of a slow burn, but the chemistry between the two of them is off the chain, even when Gabriella still thinks he's gay, lol. It really is the sweetest book. I love how Salsbury's heroes are so atypical. I'm REALLY hoping that Hayes gets his book next. I can't wait!!

“It’s only ever been you.”

HOLY WOW!!! JB Salsbury’s North Brothers series keeps blowing me away!!! I can’t get enough of the all alpha quad of North men who bring me to my knees. Oh does book two bring the swoon. Rebel North oozes romance with a Cinderella-like spell that had me ready to catapult myself right into this tale and claim my Kingston. I was utterly addicted to this lethal mix of heat, humor, and heart that made me breathless. SO OBSESSED!!!

The second installment of the North Brothers series, Rebel North focuses on Kingston, the youngest brother and gorgeous rebel of a hero, and Gabrielle, the strong and stunning heroine. Both of these multi-layered characters bring out the best of each other as they embark on meaningful and moving love story. A heart-hitting journey that slays demons from both past and present.

An all alpha hottie with a huge heart, who’s not afraid to march to the beat of his own drum, Kingston stole my heart and I admired his individuality. A heroine who is as bold as she is beautiful, Gabrielle cares about others in an admirable way. Together, this hero and heroine have combustible chemistry, a connection so passionate and powerful that permeates through the pages.

Kingston and Gabrielle made me fall head-over-heels in love with them and their spellbinding story. A story that’s as stunning as its cover. I was rendered awe-struck by this irresistible tale of fated love, loyalty, self-acceptance, and soulmates. A gem of a romance that simply shines.

5 delightful stars. Kingston the flamboyant Man. But is definitely a Hot heterosexual man. This is my favorite in the series” The North men” series. I was so addicted to this story. I loved how Gabriella and Kingston love story unraveled. This is the 2nd book in the series. And it was quite a twist near the end that I did not see coming. Can’t wait to read More about the “NORTH” men.

Ngl.. when I first started reading this I kept thinking “yeah, Kingston could never be my type” then by the time it ended I was like “DANG! Can I be Kingstons ‘Bee’?! I trulyyyyy was not expecting that plot twist man. I almost gave them three stars bc that dreaded break up was too many chapters for my poor little heart BUT it made sense and needed to happen.

My favorite parts:
-Every time Bee came up w/ a witty story for the reason behind her scars
-Kingston coming to her defense & telling the shark story
-Kingstons reactions when she kept thinking he was gay😂
-The art/spray paint date💖
-The entire family dinner when she kept those stories going to piss off August & his alcoholic wife
-Seeing so much of Jordan + Alexander💖 (so far still my favvvvs)
-When my poor baby Kingston would cry, he was so cute my heart couldn’t take it. He shouldn’t have lied by omission BUT still I loved him. Why isn’t Ainsley in prison?! Jealous witch.
-The brothers intervention @ Alexander + Jordan’s house💖
-Kingston starting his company
-Bee dancing again & getting a career
-Bee showing up @ his company/spare apartment unbeknownst to her (can we say FATE anyone?!)

SN: To my complete and total dismay no one punched that a*shat August -_____- or smacked Hayes. I really really can’t stand that man, and I’m trying to ignore how much I can’t stand him so I can read his book w/ fresh eyes.

Safety⚠️
No OWD
OMD: h goes on a date w/ a co-worker before the MCs become official but it was a horrible date and she’s not interested in him. Then later on said co-worker forces a kiss on her that she doesn’t return.
No cheating/Sharing
3rd act break up: After becoming a couple I believe they were separated for 6-7 months. - But during that time both MCs grew and started to follow their dreams.🥹

Rebel North by J.B. Salisbury was an addictive, swoon-worthy read full of steam, love, a little bit of angst, and an intense plot twist! I devoured this book in one sitting because I couldn’t get enough of Kingston and Gabriella’s story.

We met Kingston North in Wild North, and I was instantly intrigued with his character. In Rebel North, we get his story and his need to impress his family at North Industries. Kingston and Gabriella’s first encounter was a bit mysterious and as the story progresses we uncover so much more about their entangled past. These two have this instant chemistry, and once they get past each and every obstacle they face, their love only grows stronger!

I loved the uniqueness of this story. Kingston is not you typical alpha male, but I love that he has a passion for what he loves. Gabriella has an endearing and strong personality too! I adored this book and will defines need Hayes book next!

4.5 STARS
Kingston is a really out of the ordinary romance hero. He’s very into fashion, he’s a bit of a diva, he can be petulant and difficult. Underneath that is a really amazing man, he won my heart over. I appreciate out of the ordinary, and he’s gorgeous and hilarious. He’s unexpectedly charming and sexy. Unique works in his favor.
Gabriella is unique as well, her choice of work is a bit odd. There’s a bit of mystery surrounding her past and how her face became very scarred.
She gets judged by her looks by most, Kingston is an exception to that. Because his flamboyance, his desire to look amazing always they are quite the odd match. On paper he shouldn’t be the one person who “gets” her and is pursuing her. But, it works so well.
I love their friendship, banter and chemistry.
The fact that for part of the story she mistakenly thinks Kingston is gay adds some really funny interactions and adds some lightness.
It’s an emotional, funny and heartfelt story.
There are some surprises and twists that I didn’t see coming at all. I really loved how that unfolds. It made the story really very interesting and added complexity and depth.
I really enjoyed this unique story with two very original characters.
