"... A story of both the brutality of humans when pushed to the extremes and the power of the morally-just to persevere in times of oppression.... Themes of anti-racism, peace, and loving, religious faith pervade the book’s every page." ~Aimee Jodoin for IndieReader
After filming a horrendous news story in Sodium, TX, Rafe has started reading the Bible again to cope with the tragedy. He is reminded of the love of God, the value of true friendship, and that Jesus Christ can heal the brokenhearted.
The entire nation is affected by the catastrophe, and the political aftermath divides the country. As Rafe continues to study the scriptures, he has visions and dreams that propel him to reluctantly take center stage in what has become known as the Sodium War.Praise for The Sodium "Wow--this is more than a book, it's a work of art. I really enjoyed this book and it was a real thought provoker. I just had to keep going and read to the end. Why I have marked it down is I got very confused re the timelines especially at a certain point , cant say anymore due to spoilers.
I would thoroughly recommend this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Not even the biggest politics fan, and this was pretty good. Excellent storytelling throughout, just think the author could work on description a little more. Also, less ranting. Still pretty solid!
