This alien bought a date at a charity auction. Now he thinks he owns her.

Purchased by a prince
When the Intergalactic Dating Agency hires Georgie to plan the first ever human-alien matchmaking soiree, Georgie thinks a charity auction for the local animal shelter will be the perfect ice-breaker. But to get the local singles to participate, she has to set an example, so she offers herself as one of the dates.
What she doesn’t expect is for her alien buyer to be so freakin’ hot. A few drinks in, and Georgie finds herself alone on a spaceship with a blue-skinned, muscle-bound male.

Misunderstood matchmaking
The Kirenai shapeshifters are known for the pleasure they give their bedmates, and Prince Arazhi is no exception. When his family insists it’s time for him to produce an heir, the last thing he wants is a jealous, power-hungry female weighing him down, so he heads to Earth. Human females are supposed to be pliant and fertile, willing to bear children without permanent bonds.
There, he spots a female with a regal bearing that makes his blood thrum hot. Better yet, it appears that she’s for sale.

But when Georgie not only refuses to be owned but also claims to be barren, Arazhi must choose. Will he follow his heart, or fulfill his duty?

Like the storyline, but I think there is a lot missing in the writing. It shows that this is a self-published book because it needs a good editor.

Good enough story and I commend the work it took to describe Kirenai and all other planets and species. But dialogues are too short and a lot of it is left out.

The epilogue, basically tells us how the next book ends so that is actually very disappointing.

Btw, is it just me or is his *cough cough* basically like a giant rabbit vibrator? *winky eyes*

Arazhi de Tamsin Ley Serie Kirenai fated mates libro 1

Argumento:

Smoking hot blue, my favorite color

Third time trying to write this review, here goes nothing.
Arazhi, Must produce a heir, 200+ years old, doesn't get what he paid for, (huge misunderstanding) but gets more then he bargained on, a prince, rich as midas, without turning everything gold, hot sexy Alpha from another planet and he's Blue! People.
Georgie, 30ish home grown newly single female earthling, animal lover wanting to start up her own business, not Blue with a sad secret, who gets taken for an out of this world rollercoaster ride.
What could possibly go wrong?
Can these two star crossed humanoids find exactly what they want and need with each other or will it all be for nought?
In these pages, you'll find a murderous plot, traitors around every corner, a runaway vehicle, shapeshifting, a King fighting to survive, a life changing choice to made, yapping dogs, dog eating species (if given the chance, don't judge, humans eat dogs in some countries, even if it's yucky to me) medical marvels and a no holds bard speaks her duty bound mind mother. (Not liking her much right now)
For a not long enough, but kept my attention without wavering piece of storytelling that was really, really good is why Tamsin Ley is on my must read list.
Well done Tamsin, highly enjoyable and highly recommended.
I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review, plus I also brought the book, because I truly believe it is well worth the small amount and the 5 star's.
Looking forward with anticipation for the next book in this series, can't come soon enough.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A mostly fun and interesting-to-read page-turner. Mostly. There were some exciting parts that were fun to read and some descriptive sexy parts that were also fun to read, and I really wanted to know how the story would unfold. There were some unexpected twists that captured my attention, and they cemented my rating of 4 stars. Georgie was easily the best-described character in the book, and I know it's her book and that's how it should be, but the others all seemed kind of one-dimensional. The characters are interesting and the females at least have good backstories, the males, not so much, but they grow on you. I enjoyed the story, for the most part, but I did skim some pieces where the repetition of explanations or inner monologues just got to be too many words to follow. I wanted to know how the story was going to unfold, so I stuck with it. I thought that Arazhi took too many actions that would usually characterize a female who did things that were rated on the "too stupid to live" matrix, but since his whole character is based on a being who changes himself to please the person he's with and is all about being footloose and fancy-free, I guess that's expected. I didn't like his mother at all, like not even a little, and I think that it's a shame that she comes off the way she does, it just seems unnecessarily evil. I do love the books that Tamsin Ley writes, I'm looking forward to reading more of this series as it is completed. I was gifted an ARC to read and I'm leaving this review of my own personal opinion of my own volition.

"Arazhi" by Tamsin Ley is a delightfully fun and unique alien romance that takes the concept of fated mates to a whole new level with a shapeshifting partner that adapts to the mate's desires. Amidst this quirky romance, the story weaves in engaging political intrigue as the prince faces an assassination attempt and seeks a mate to secure his imperial future. The decision to hunt for a mate at a charity auction on Earth adds a refreshing twist to the narrative, making "Arazhi" an entertaining and imaginative addition to the genre.

Really good book. Excitement, emotions, suspense, surprises and much more. He is a king and his father being ill there is an importance to get a female. Well earth women don't have to do one thing so they are easy to mate with. She was supposed to have an important job for the aliens but surprise in a twist and turn she ends up somewhere else. I recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

This was my first book by Tamsin Ley and I throughly enjoyed it. It a quick read but extremely good. The story is well written and developed. It has action and drama throughout it. There is a small surprise that had me saying wow, I didn’t expect that. There is a bit of mystery that just adds that extra element. I really like Arazhi and Georgie’s personalities as they were felt throughout the story. Their chemistry was strong. This is definitely a must read.

I should have checked reviews before buying. DNFd at 9% because:

“Slavery was legal in this part of the galaxy, but only if a person enslaved themselves—and they always had the right to buy back their own contracts.”

Perhaps a dictionary would have been useful.

I loved that I found everything needed to make a memorable story in Arazhi. The storyline covered so many facets of life, love, greed and cruelty, it was constantly exciting. The ending was beautiful and leads to the next book, I’m guessing. What a series this is going to be! There’s a glossary of terms after the end that I found a perfect postscript. A wonderful escape that was truly special!

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.

This book concentrates on Arazhi, Prince of the Galaxy and next in line to become Emperor. When his father, the Emperor is poisoned Arazhi finds himself instructed by his parents to travel to Earth to attend an auction, find a mate and secure the line by getting her pregnant as soon as possible. However, the aliens had been misinformed and he finds himself attending an auction to raise money for an animal shelter where they bid on a female and win a date! But before he finds this out he bids an exorbitant amount of money on Georgie!

Georgie wants to get her event planning business off the ground so she helped to plan the auction and the party which followed, but she also agreed to be one of the females in the auction. It's the first time aliens have been invited to Earth and everyone is excited, but something has gone wrong because while the females believe they are agreeing to a date, the aliens believe they are buying bondservants.

Before the misunderstanding can be rectified an attempt is made on Arazhi's life, so he returns to his spaceship taking Georgie, his date with him. He tells her why he was there and what he wants from her, she explains the mistake he's made and although she finds him attractive, and hard to resist she demands to be returned to earth when he refuses she's forced to explain that she's unable to have children.

They arrive on Kirenai Prime where an attempt is made on Georgie's life! Will Arazhi find out who is behind the plot, will the healers on Kirenai Prime be able to help Georgie conceive? To find the answers to these questions and many more you will need to read or listen to this book yourself because I'm not telling.

I enjoyed the story and thought the narration by Stephen Borne was good, and I will definitely listen to the rest of the series.

I have to admit that I had difficulty deciding what rating to give this book, the premise of the series is really good and at the end of the book the author tells you all about the world she has created, who the Kirenai are, how they mate and why they can all look so different. Information I feel would have been better know before starting this first book. You may or may not agree. Without the author's comments at the end of the story, I would have given this book four stars but after listening to the additional information I have given it five stars.

I had fun reading it. Ever since I came across the star crossed intergalactic dating agency series last summer I have tried to find them all! If they are in paperback, no matter the author, if it is intergalactic dating agency, I have tried to find them. I love them! First we have Prince Arazhi, who has been summoned by his parents, only to find out his father has been poisoned & in bad shape. He may live but he might not be able to rule anymore. His mother tells him, he needs to find a mate & produce an Heir, yesterday. It seems a cousin who has an heir, which is required to claim the throne, is getting ready to steal the throne from his family. This cousin is from a side of the people that think slavery is ok & will let it go all over the galaxy. He is not sure where to start. His mother tells him that Earth women are compatible & to start there. There has also been brought to notice that they are good mothers. He is not too happy about it but he & his trusted guard, Zhirutho, start on their journey to Earth. Georgie is working at the dog groomers with her friends when one of them sees an ad put out by the Intergalactic dating agency asking for a capable human to coordinate an alien matchmaking event. Aliens haven't been reported on Earth in 40 or 50 years, & no one believed it anyway. Although, when Georgie's dad was deployed, her mom had claimed to be kidnapped by aliens. Georgie believed her. Georgie is trying to get her own event planning business going. She decides to see what they are paying & decide if she will try to get the job. It looks like money is no object. She puts in a bid for it & gets the job right away. She decides to make it kind of like a charity auction for a date with who ever she can get to volunteer. The money will go to Maise's shelter Yappy Hour. She asks Maise to participate she agrees. Lora who is a cop, asked next, it takes a little more convincing but she agrees as well. Soon Georgie has several women to enter for a date night auction. When that night happens, after Zhirutho radios the Prince & tells him it looks ok, he comes down. Arazhi sees the one he wants, but then notices she appears to be in charge & probably won't be for sale as a bond servant. Everyone is seated with drinks being served. Food offered. After the opening speech is said, the ladies are brought out & a little said about them. Then they come back out again to be bid upon. So far none have interested him enough to bid. Much to his surprise the one he had thought would not be sold was on stage being put up for auction. He bid against another twice until he put out a bid that was way over the other alien's budget. Georgie walked down to meet Arazhi. The evening was coming to a close & as they were trying to get to know each other, they hear screams coming from all over. Aliens are dropping all over into slimy globs dead! They run out of the tent into the park, Zhiruto tells Arazhi it looks like another assassination attempt, this time, on him. He transports himself & Georgie to his ship. Zhirutho tries to get a like more information & ends up teaming up with Lora, who will help him try to find the assassin. While doing this, he misses his window to get off Earth, but tells Arazhi to get his mate home. Georgie tells Lora she's ok. She finds out, she is on her way to his planet to be his mate & help him produce an heir. She tells him to take her back. He tells her, he bought her. She explains it was a date night. Then she goes on to explain, one of the reasons her husband divorced her was because she was barren. She had tried many tests & several doctors, it wasn't something that could be fixed. He told her they would see what the royal healers thought, sensing how sad it had made her. They get to his planet, he goes to see his father, who doesn't seem much better. His mother is not happy that his choice for a mate is unable to have children & tells him to pick a different one. She is not very subtle about her dislike of Georgie. When she finds out that he has already mated with her, & she has his DNA mark in her she is very upset. Georgie goes to see the healer like she promised but is told she is incompatible & should leave the Prince. He decides to take her on a picnic to show her around. On the way, they sense the ride getting rough. When he tries to find out what is happening, he sees no one driving & a cliff they are about to go over. He changes himself into something that can take the fall & protect her the best. When Georgie wakes up in the healing center, she is in not too bad shape, but finds out Arazhi was almost killed saving her life. She goes to see him, finds her mother there, who is rather nasty too her about the whole thing. It appears this time it is an attempt on her life. After she decides she is going to leave she goes to tell him. He can hear her but in his resting state he can't do too much right now. He tries to get himself together to stop her but the head healer is there to stop him & add a dose of poison into his system to kill him this time. As Georgie is walking down the hall an alien she doesn't recognize tries to grab her & something he says connects the dots. She starts running to the guards at the healers doors & tells them a slaver is after her. Some take off down the hall she just came from, & the healer comes out. She wants to see the Prince, he says no. He says he is in no condition at this time. She wants a second opinion, the guards let her in, she is his mate. She wants to get tests run & a few other things, again the healer says no. Arazhi is able to pull himself together enough to tell them she is in charge. She is able to get new healers in, get the poison out of him & his father. They also find out she was compatible, she already had alien DNA in her system. Her mother's story must have been true. When the Prince is well enough she gets everything arranged to have her dad, Lora, some of her friends & Arazhi's family & friends together for their wedding there at the palace. The one thing that is missing is Maise, it seems she was kidnapped sometime after the auction & taken off the planet. Now they have to try to find her.

Aside from editing errors, I really enjoyed Arazhi's and Georgie's story. Arazhi is an alien, shape-shifting prince who is used to getting what he wants whenever he wants it. He considers himself a bit of a lady's man and does not want to be tied down. But when the emporer may be dying, Arazhi is summoned home, told by his parents to go to earth to purchase a bond female from an auction, and ordered to mate with said female, he agrees for the good of the galaxy. One look at the charity auction director, Georgie, and he determines to bid on her. Little does he know that Georgie won't be owned by anyone. When an attempt on the prince's life forces him to flee, he takes Georgie with him. Only then does Arazhi learn that Georgie is barren and can not have children.

There are some bittersweet moments, some very funny ones, and some super steamy, sexy ones. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline very much. I think more could have been done in the area of world building, and I hate loose ends, of which there are a few. I am giving 4 stars as my rating in hopes those loose ends will be tied up in subsequent books.

Assassin

His father was poisoned and he need to find someone to get pregnant in a hurry. She helped me plan a auction and a party. Aliens for the 1st time invited and they all misunderstood that it was a date not buying bond slaves. An attempted was man on the prince life so he went back to his spaceship with Georgie who he made a huge bid on. He told her why he was there and she told him she was barren. Come to find out she was his mate and he had to figure something out to keep her on his planet. While they were out another attempt was made on his life and hers. He'd saved her but his mother had a few words to say and she decided she had to leave. The prince figured out who was the assassin and was able to save him, his father, and her. A big surprise, her DNA had traces of his people in her genes. Her mother was kidnapped by aliens. So they could be together and have a family after all.

SO disappointed with this book. After reading and absolutely loving Tamsin Ley's story in Claimed Among the Stars I was very excited the read all the books in the Kirenai Fated Mates series. I definitely will NOT be reading anything else written by this author.
Not only do we have a Manwhore H and depressing h, but the writing style itself seems completely different than that of the previous story I had read from this author. Almost seems like a completely different writer. I am genuinely confused to be honest. Not to mention the page after page after page after page of internal dialogue of the h about her infertility and ex husband.
All in all, just not an interesting read. Don't waste your time.

loved it

Loved the descriptions of all the strange new alien technology and landscape. Prince Arahzi is wonderful, immediately smitten with Georgie when he arrives on earth looking for a female to produce an heir with as soon as possible. Poor Georgie is just as smitten with the doting prince but sadly a long history of infertility means she is no good to Arahzi so despite her rapidly growing feelings for him she is determined to leave so he can mate with a more suitable female to give him his heir. But an assassination plot targeting the royal family almost gets them both killed and in the resolution they discover the real reason Georgie could never conceive- at least not on earth.

Fun, flirty, sexy bachelor auction gone awry

I really enjoyed Georgie and Arazhi’s fated mates alien romance. Arazhi is the crown prince of his planet. Since his father has been poisoned he has to find a suitable woman to produce an heir quickly. Georgie is trying to get her event planning business off the ground and agrees to host an alien auction. It turns out not to be the bachelor auction for charity that she thought it was. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, messy families, painful pasts, political intrigue, light danger, and instalove. While short, the story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. I’ll keep reading the series.

Bondservant or Bride?
Being able to put your body into any form that you’ll like? Wouldn’t we all look the same? Fortunately it is only the Kirenai men who have this ability. And in human eyes they look hot. Although it is definitely something else to find yourself on an alien ship going home to his home planet. Where there is a hidden rebellion going on, who want the emperor and his heir dead.
All IDA stories have hot alien men who want to have a human bride or who will fall in love with a human woman, who is his fated mate. Even when the woman in question is not ready to fulfil his wishes. And Georgie is a strong and stubborn woman. World building is a surprise, the characters are very lovable, unexpected betrayal that is waylaid and of course a HEA. Wonderful read.

I really enjoyed this sci-fi romance.

This novel was fun! The world building was vivid, with the hero’s species being different and fascinating. The characterization was great, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals with nuance. The romantic relationship was sweet and swoony. The plot was action packed, exciting, and high stakes. The only major drawback to this novel was that the queen never got her comeuppance for her hideous behavior. It is a marvel that such a worthless person gave birth to such a well adjusted, honorable son. I loved all the political machinations! I just wish the novel had been longer.

Very interesting world building.
I wish the story was longer but it was interesting and the fast pace made it quick to finish.
Georgie and Arazhi jumped into a sexual relationship within an hour of meeting, then fell in love within days - so you don’t need to wait through a lot of relationship development, and I guess I don’t mind but it did seem too abrupt. Lots of danger and complications to them being together, but we do get an HEA.
It was shorter than I’d like, but I suppose it’s to set up the next book. And a fast, easy read is preferred to slow and boring. And at least the author took time to world-build and give us lots of details on the Kirenai planet.

So many misunderstandings and treachery! Arazhi thinks he bought a slave, not a date. Georgie believes herself to be barren because she couldn’t get pregnant with her first husband, and she wants to go back to Earth. Arazhi’s father the King has been poisoned, and there is a plot to depose the monarchy.

But you’ll have to grab a copy of your own to see how Tamsin resolves all these issues. You won’t be sorry you did!

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The women of Earth must be universal breeders. A well used trope but I still like it. This one has three strong animal loving women with Georgie as our first heroine, and she just happens to catch to eye of an alien Prince who needs an heir in the worst way. Yep, read it before, but Arazhi is a pretty unique alien and though he’s not any more sensitive or Alpha than some of the others the storytelling brings you into their world and grabs your heart. For a short sci-fi romance this is a good one.

I really liked the world and alien development in this book. The details of the aliens were well done in the glossary and character explanations but the huge misunderstandings that lead to the “date an alien, fundraiser for the shelter and host an intergalactic event” without complete knowledge of the language was ludicrous. Then within seconds of meeting her alien they jump from date to baby making on a space ship 🚀 it should have had more details in there somewhere and in the beginning the Prince acted like a playboy!

Arazhi & Georgie

Look I am coming off of (in my opinion) an amazing erotic sci-fi series so everything else is a little bland right now. Keep that in mind.

Arazhi is the prince of his universe. His father is ill and his planet needs an heir. So Arazhi goes to Earth to a charity event thinking it is secure a breeding mate instead it is an event to help animals find homes. Someone tries to assassinate the prince, so he is whisked away with the women he has been drawn to since arriving at the event.

He needs a female to bare is child and Georgie is certain she is barren.
