WOW…l’m really digging this author’s writing style…..I think this is my 3rd book from her….I’m definitely going to take my time and go through her catalog. There’s so many storylines and plots in this story about this group of people….Would someone please tell me if there’s a follow up to this story…. I need to know what to read next.
I finished another book today and wanted something different from that genre to read. I met Ms. James today and grabbed this book to see what she was about.
When I tell you sis had me hooked in chapter one, I tell no lies. By chapter two my jaw was dropped. There are multiple points of view in this book, which I normal can't stand, but she pulls it off so well and you don't feel like the story is rushed at all.
The level of drama-chile- not only do you need popcorn but you need a butler to feed it to you so you can keep reading. There's drama, crime, drugs, love, murder, deception, friends and enemies and I just CAN NOOOOT WITH THIS BOOK!!! MS. JAMES DID HER THANG AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ MORE!!!
Ms. James, I have to say it always amazes me when an author can write so many stories in one. It was an abusive relationship, a relationship full of infidelity, a recovering drug addict trying to get her child back. It was so much going with one small circle of friends but you did it. It is quite commendable. Through all of the drama, loss, and hard realizations it was only one friend that found her happily ever after. All the unnecessary stress that Bone managed to take Blaque through while living and after death, Richmond erased it all. He let Blaque heal and then he swept in and got his woman. He made sure he locked her into a loving relationship that she deserved.
There is quite a few unfinished business in this friend/family circle. I would love for Jade and Jaslen to be fulfilled and happy. Their lives have turned around by letting go of the dead weight already. It would come full circle once they find their true loves. Jade has a taste of mothers' love with the adoption of Nadia. I will be on the lookout for their stories because it has to be more to come. Ms. James tangled a web of friends together like no other. The secrets that lay within this circle of friends were mind-blowing. It was quite entertaining and most definitely a page-turner. You want to get into this read it. Download, purchase and indulge.
My Girl got down! This book was a page turner for sure! I couldn't wait to see what happened next! All the plot twists had me shook! Kudos! Well done!!
Perfect ending to a rollercoaster ride of a book...
Oh-kay Queen Tatum James this was my first read by this beauty and she most definitely took us on a ride. I mean the drama, lies, secrets and betrayals were never ending.
Sorry, not sorry, but everybody got what they deserved. Bones aka Travis 'ol leader of the f'boys got off easy being killed. That bih should've gotten stomped out first, then killed🤷🏽. He was really out here passing out that community🍆 and had the audacity to say he doing Black a favor by using condoms😳😡. Then he so dumb he laying up with 12 and didn't even know out cause he too busy lying and scheming.
Desiree really risked her career and life for a f'boy who was just using her. She thought she was sooo much smarter than Black and her father, but the joke was on her. The way Jeremiah ended her👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 cause I was beyond offer her and her shenanigans.
Ebony, Ebony, Ebony definitely acted like Ebony from players club cause she ain't have no problem smiling in Jazz face while busting it open for her husband😔. I was really rooting for her to do the right thing after finding out that Jeff was Jazz husband. It's the audacity of her to feel entitled, like she wasn't the side chick🙄. She got too big headed and cocky and got knocked off that pedestal with the quickness🤷🏽. Glad her daughter was able to find a loving home🖤
Now Black and Jazz both disappointed me. They both were dealing with f'boys and stayed because they were comfortable, cause ain't no way in hell they thought that s**t show of a situationship/marriage was worth fighting for. Like Jeff and Bones went out of their way to show both of them that they truly did not love them, did not value or respect them.
Fine, sexy a** Rich. That man just wanted to get out the dope game and go legit. Meeting Nikki gave him that out and a love he didn't know he needed. The way he l loved and poured into Nikki, even after she rejected was amazing. I could read more about them.
Jade was to hard on herself. Like I get that shit that happen was embarrassing asf, but she was really in love and he technically wasn't a minor. The way she found out was so heartbreaking, then to lose her job in the process😢. I was going to hear more from her and Key cause one thing that stood out was their love for each other. Maybe we'll get a spin-off 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Blood Stained Roses was an alluring tale about four women and their strained points of view. The story had deception, lies, and deliverance for some. I felt bad for the ladies as they had their fooock boy experiences to endure. A few times, the story strayed, but overall it was 3.85 stars.
Once again Ms James does not disappoint. Her stories make you get caught up as if the characters are real! You will go through a range of emotions as you read her books. I find myself saying I am going to go read so and so but then I go find another one of her books.
This was my first read by this Author. I was really impressed with her work. The storyline was full of lies, deceit, betrayal and drama all the makings of a good read. I will definitely be reading more of her work in the future. I love stories about true sisterhood. Always having someone’s back and having people to rely on is a must. I especially like how each leading female had her own mini story to tell but they were all intertwined together. This will not be my last read by Author Tatum James I look forward to reading more from her,
This has most definitely been one of the best books I've read all year. There was so much drama going on between the 4 friends, the drugs, undercover cops, murder, mystery, love won and love lost. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I could not stop reading until I was done! I've seen this one promoted on IG and it was definitely worth it. I can't wait to read more by Ms. James. Be sure to check this one out, it was an amazing read.
I'm so happy Blaque found love in the right one. Honey Bones was a motherfreaker to Bones and she didnt even know. Danielle was all about the money even though she loved her unborn child. I feel she would have come back to Blaque a few years later for some more money. I can't believe her father took her out, but at the same time I can understand how he feels. I'm happy Ebony's daughter got the family she really deserved. Children are a blessing to have.
"Wow! Is all I can say! What a story and what a turn around. I loved how the ending went down but I would’ve like to know more on the outcome of Ebony. I know what she did was awful but dang she was selling for her friend and she just left her in there like that!!!🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ This is a must read!!!!"
This book took me on a wild ride. There were so many secrets and twists happening that I couldn't stop reading. This was my first book by this author but it won't be my last.
This story was messsyyy from the beginning. Baby the girls had to get themselves together. Nobody’s perfect right. I almost put this down but I’m so glad I didn’t. This was so goood. So many twists and turns. I wasn’t ready. It turned out great.
I picked this up because it was suggested that it’s read before Catch Me If I Fall. I’ve seen a lot of post about other books by Tatum on socials so I wasn’t expecting THIS. I prefer a little more romance in my romance but it was a well written story regardless. I’m just hoping for a little less drama with the next one. I don’t think I my nerves can handle much more.
EVERYBODY IN THIS STORY HAS A SECRET!! It's crazy! But I loved it!
Nikki is dealing with an emotionally and physically abusive fiancé...until she's not.
Jade's new boo isn't the prince charming she thought he was, now her career is on the line.
Jaslen is miserable in her picture perfect marriage.
Ebony's side piece/sponsor turned "boyfriend" is married...and she knows his wife.
Desiree (aka Ms. Delusional...AF) is going behind her father's back to be in a situationship with a man she knows her dad would NEVER approve of.
Richmond is trying to get out of the drug game and go legit.
I won't lie. In the beginning, I had to re-read a couple of pages because there was so much going on and I had to remember who was who, but I'm so happy I kept reading!
If you're into urban fiction/ urban romance, I think you'll enjoy this book!
I'm not sure what I expected but it sure wasn't this and it was a pleasant surprise. The twists in this book were unique. I chuckled at how the restaurant was run; they had the bases covered. I hated that there was a traitor amongst them, oh but the price she paid. This book had a little bit of everything and while I didn't expect a drug operation it added a level of suspense that had my heart pounding at times. I would have loved to get closure on Jaslen, Jade and especially hear Ebony's final thoughts.
This was a good read. I did get lost a little because their were so many essential characters but I love that it was unpredictable. The story literally came full circle ⭕️
Enjoyable read. What about the roses being stained with blood? I like the sisterhood that the 3 girls had. Ebony was another story by herself. Richmond was that guy every mature young lady would have wanted in her life. Wonderful ending to have read. I wish half rating were acceptable because my rating is 3.75.
From the prologue to the end this book took me in a wild ride. In the beginning the story was all over the place but then the connects came together. I was rooting for Blaque. Telling a multi point of view story is hard. This book had 6. In the end Blaque won and I was happy with that conclusion.
This was a very action packed book. In the beginning there was a lot going on and I wasn’t sure about continuing . I’m glad I stuck with it. Lots of action and drama. It all made sense in the end.
Another great Tatum James read. I loved this group of ladies so much; each with such different stories to tell. I mistakenly read Jazlyn's story before this one, but they were both great reads. There was nothing expected or boring.
I like the way the story is written in more than one perspective. This book has some real life situations. I love the bond between Jade, Jaslen, and Nikki.
