My first time reading a Pinkalicious book, and I was happily surprised. I didn't think I'd like it. Pink? In a Halloween story? No thanks. But actually, the cute little illustrations of the vivid orange leaves and pumpkins made my Halloween heart so happy. This book oozes girl power.
The town of Pinkville is in trouble! There was a storm on the night before Halloween that knocked out all of the power and made it so that Trick or Treating wouldn’t be safe. Pinkalicious comes up with a plan to save the day! This is a great story about problem solving and working together even when things don’t go the way you expect them to go.
Pinkalicious is a wonderful and vivacious little girl who lives in the small town of Pinkville with her family! This little girl is happy and full of life, always staying one step ahead of everyone around her as she enjoys her day and whatever would happen to come her way. The adorable little girl is full of imagination and ideas that can overcome any and every situation.
"Pinkalicious: Pink or Treat!" is a cute story about how one little girl brought an entire town together to be able to share candy and an amazingly good time. There are so many different areas that can affect the month of October, but if you live close to the coast- hurricane season is probably one of the most likely. However, that's not going to stop this little girl from being the heroine that she always knew she could be.
A good story to get into the Halloween spirit and showing children how even they can make a big difference in their town. When trick or treating is threatened to be cancelled its up to our pink clad hero to save the festivities for everyone! I really enjoyed how the children worked with the mayor to find a way to allow children to trick or treat in safety despite the towns power outage.
A storm that blew through Pinkville has caused the Mayor to cancel Halloween for the safety of the town's residents if the power isn't restored. Pinkalicious has an idea to convince the Mayor to let the town celebrate.
Super long and wordy for the typical Pinkalicious fan. I would recommend this only for older fans who can sit through long paragraphs. The content isn't that great. She basically "saves" Halloween by calling forth something a little more than a Trunk Or Treat for the city.
Read with: Kindergarten They were a little antsy today so they didn't enjoy it as much as they could have. It may have been a bit long. Will try reading it with my grade 1s Friday.
I read this book over Zoom with my students. I liked that in the story trick or treating is canceled. We had the same thing because of the pandemic. So the students could relate.
Cute story about how Pinkalicious saves Halloween after the town loses power. Loved how her family supported her. Loved that the mayor was a woman (some kids were shocked).
THIS BOOK COMES WITH A WHOLE PAGE OF PINKALICIOUS STICKERS.
I like that Pinkalicious is a child in a traditional family and that they talk to each other, listen, and help each other out. When there is a problem, Pinkalicious works within rules and parameters to come to a reasonable solution, rather than outright rebellion and being spoiled. She thinks of others and is respectful to all.
A big storm knocks out the power in Pinkville the night before Halloween and the Mayor announces on the radio that if the power cannot be restored by dark, there will be no trick-or-treating.
Pinkalicious is very upset; her Pinkagirl costume was all ready. Suddenly she gets an idea. She changes into her costume and shares her idea with the family. They are not sure it will work, but her Mom goes with her to see the Mayor. She tells the Mayor what she has in mind; he really just wants the kids to be safe.
Can Pinkagirl save Halloween? I will not spoil....
What to do when the weather doesn't cooperate with your plans?! This is a nifty little Pinkalicious story (another character we love here!) that is full of creative solutions to a problem.

A feminist dream! Young girl saves the day, mayor is a woman, scene with dad sweeping while mom reads newspaper. Love it! The power outage due to a storm is just dramatic enough a scenario to require a superheroine.
Pinkalicious dresses up as superheroine, Pinkagirl, and sets forth to do her best to save Halloween for everyone in Pinkville. She ends up doing extremely well.
This story is about Pinkalicious and she doesn't want Halloween to be canceled when the electricity goes out in the town. She thinks of an idea and goes to see the mayor and she broadcasts her idea to save to Halloween. (Review by Taylor)
This story opens up the conversation of how to have a Halloween party when the conditions are problematic. Pretty spot on for the last couple of years.
