Will love conquer all when Heaven and Hell collide?
Tess has answers about the power she holds—an ancient power, one thought lost forever. However, that power comes with even more questions. Tess must learn to control and harness her new abilities, as well as discover the truth about her father.
Lucifer is painfully aware that everything is far from resolved. Tess is in more danger than ever before and he needs answers in order to keep her safe.
Tess is a threat to everything. Her existence threatens a balance that has been in place since the beginning of time. A powerful entity has decided he can’t risk her existence being known and will do anything to keep her a secret… even if that means he has to kill his only daughter.
Hell's Angel is Book 3 in the Dark Desires series.
M. L. Mountford loves to read and write paranormal romance. She tries to make her characters interesting, sassy, and quirky, as well as creating whole other worlds hidden within our own.
She is from the North-East of England, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters.
Her busy life means she’s fuelled entirely by coffee and sugar. When she’s not writing she can be found eating everything in sight, binge watching whatever new documentary Netflix has to offer, swearing far too much, or with her nose buried in her Kindle.
This is different from books I typically read, but it looked interesting when it showed up on a suggested list on Amazon. I like reading books that are outside of what I normally would read every so often, as I think that's when you find treasures. I enjoyed readying the entire series. It was interesting how bits and pieces of the historical story of Lucifer and the fallen angels was woven into the storyline, while still keeping it original. It almost reminded me of a tv show I watch, however it is definitely NOT fan fiction by any means. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a well written paranormal book.
Definitely a series that went downhill as it dragged on. This book could be shortened by 1/4 length just by cutting out the repeated, duplicated sex scenes. I have nothing against sex scenes in a book at all, I actually love it thrown in, but when it becomes filler to turn a short story into a novel length, and when the chapter feels practically copy-pasted from just a handful of chapters before, it gets old pretty quick. I started just skipping to the next chapter rather than rereading the awkward attempt at dirty talk. This series started so good, but should've been left a standalone book in my opinion.
The final instalment of the Dark Desires trilogy is a steamy and exciting finale. I loved how Tess finally started to get to know herself and figure out her talents, and by the end had found her place in the world! It's weird to think that back in book 1 she was looking over her shoulder with a nasty ex after her and now not only is she stronger herself (and he dead, by her hand no less), but she's surrounded by caring and powerful beings.
Everything wraps up really nicely, although I would have liked more about Emma and Levi... maybe there's room for a spinoff?
Overall, this is a great ending to this devilish trilogy! I highly recommend it all!
Absolutely gutted this trilogy is over and I simply cannot wait for the next one. Conrath, Levi and Bee have quickly become firm favourite characters and m owing the first book of the next trilogy focuses on Levi has certainly made up for my feeling of loss at the fact this one is over! The character bonds get better and better throughout the series and it’s great to see them all bloom together and still maintain a comedy element within the thriller style fast paced, hold your breath, seat of your pants moments that come with dealing with the devil and his associates! Top 5 all time series reads!
Book 3 of the Dark Desires Trilogy sees Tess facing the reality of what being nephilim means. I liked the way our FMC & MMCs changed not only over this book, but from book 1. Who would have thought the Tess from book 1 could turn into the Tess in book 3, surviving mental & physical abuse, falling for Lucifer & accepting him for who he is & then facing the Archangel Michael all while knowing what would happen if God found out that she existed. If you removed all the sex scenes this would still be a good book, but having them in where they are shows how much our FMC & MMCs are intoxicated with each other.
Nice little intro at the end for Wrath which picks up Levi's story.
But really good interesting . He Lucifer is funny and Tess I loved the test of the gang. I know the Bible even though arch Michael wasn't like that . I like to see a different take on him
This series was fabulous and I can't wait to check out more from M.L Mountford! If you like romance with angels and fallen, feisty characters and a HEA then this is a great series to dive into!
I loved this final book in the Dark Desires trilogy.
Tess's character development and Luke's devotion to her have been a joy to read, and they both deserved their happy ever after, after all they had been through.
What a thrilling and satisfying conclusion. Awesome characters, loved the drama, loved the action and loved the spice. If you love paranormal romance why haven't you read this series yet?? 😍😍😍
